When I tell Africans not to go to Canada they never listen. Canada is a really cool country. There's no doubt about that but in winter the weather gets really cold, dull, grey and depressing. Instead of moving always to The UK, US or Canada, why not try the Caribbean and some central American countries. These countries are very colorful, lively and bright with climate similar to ours. There are lots of folks over there that look like us as well except that you may have to learn a little Spanish which shouldn't be a problem at all. \nI'm a Nigerian too.\nI also dreamt of moving to Canada 15 years ago. I was so crazy in love with the country at first but because I was aware of how depressing winters can be I had to switch my dream destination to the Caribbean. I choose Panama because of the large Afro Panamanian community over there. Secondly because Panama looks like a more developed version of My country, Nigeria with beautiful beaches and a nice tropical weather. It's one of those few Caribbean nations with a free world class universal healthcare system like most countries in Europe.

Tosin? Nigeria is not a burial ground for you to come back to when you are 90years old
|

For those that said they don't plan to move back to Nigeria, I don't blame them. Nigeria today is worse than when they left it, so there's really nothing that'd make anyone wanna come back. I believe the responses would change if Nigeria becomes a much saner society.

Thanks Girls ? Bravo for this information ? moving from London to Nigeria and then living in America now, I once thought of moving to Canada but America gives one flexibility and freedom to grow and be wealthy from any level, so America is the Dream country for most people so I'm glad I stayed back in America ✌️ Thanks for that clarity and closure ?Now I feel so proud that I never moved, I for cry tire???

Get your fact straight women, here in the states people go into bankruptcy for medical bills. Why don’t you go back to Nigeria where you don’t pay taxes and face your bad roads and Fulani herdsmen?
|

For Nigeria it doesn't matter where you were trained or worked for Pharmacist, once you come back you have to do forensic training and internship so it is the same all over the world

Government of Nigeria should please state the offers made to ASUU viz a viz the demand of ASUU. How much Idillars is the monthly take home of a professor in Nigeria compared with Uganda, etc.?

I like it that preferential treatment is collapsed in Canada. I hope it was same for Nigeria & many African countries

Tanx for these exposures. I now understand all my relatives attitudes to those at home if this is what they pass through. Let me be content with what I have here in Nigeria even though Nigeria is tearing apart. I understand Nigeria inspite of our situation now. HOME SWEET HOME.

Nigerians who thinks Canada is there heaven on earth needs to hear your message. Thanks for telling the truth and not like others who are full of lies to confuse people back at home to think that they are leaving in luxury. Nigeria is the best place to leave, no matter what home is home that's where we need to be proud of.

Sometimes I wonder if people think leaving Nigeria and life will be heaven on earth, have seen someone that jumped from a story building down cos the expectation he had about the Uk, maybe he was thinking of been served by one of her majesty servant ? Also Nigerians still don’t know that people leave on debt I had a relative asking if a 27 years old can share my flat meant for just one person because the daughter is paying out too much nothing left at the end of the month . Welcome to my world .

I suggest you guys should come back to Nigeria where police kill, beat, and Lock up people for fun, electricity zero, network zero, security zero. Plus everyday you have to queue in the bank, queue in in the filling station, queue at the ATM, for hospital emergency you most queue, queue in the police station, queue in the restaurant please come back home and stop complaining in Canada thank you

Not all should be based so poorly. There's lots of benefits offered that cannot be compared in countries like Nigeria where you come from because not everything is about money. Let's also enlighten about the benefits and it's advantages

It's the same in US. I am a registered nurse in the US. I make $2000 a week and pay $700 taxes, my take home is $1300/wk. From there I pay other bills. The higher you earn the higher your taxes. Some weeks I make almost $4000 as a travel nurse. You make the money but after all deductions you'll be left with little. But you'll still enjoy this taxes when you retire as social security income. If you don't want to comply to their rules and regulations you better stay in your country. I did nursing in Nigeria and took and passed my NCLEX here and started working as a registered nurse.

Nigerians always complain when they get to another country when Nigeria is a hell??♂️ you don’t need to complain just go back to Nigeria

I don't think higher tax rate is a good point when you compare it to a country like Nigeria. The maximum tax rate you can pay in Nigeria is 24% and it begins from anything from 5.6 million naira per annum. After paying that tax you pay for the school fees of your children, and you pay that 3 times every year, Asides school fees you buy generator and fuel it everyday to get something close to constant power supply. (I don't want to include healthcare because if you have a good HMO they will sort out that perfectly well)\nSome of us still pay security due if you live in an estate. \n\nThe point I am trying to make is that if your tax rate is high let's say to up to 50% and you are sure of the quality of education your children is getting in public schools so you don't have to pay for school fees, You don't have to buy generator and fuel it because there's constant electricity supply and there's good security so you don't have to pay for private security. You might realized that tax rate in Canada is effectively cheaper than here in Nigeria. Because you will still pay for school fees, generator and maintenance and private security and all these have a way of eating deep into your income.

No wonder my uncle hardly sends me money... lol... I love CA but never been there. I have thought about this move to CA but here in Nigeria I have about 5 years career growth in HR and I am currently a team lead and by next year or before the end of this year my promotion to supervisor is very certain plus I work remotely and pay not bad atall but can get better lol... I live also in my folks house cause they leave somewhere else in another state and not staying in that house makes it an empty building... leaving all those behind to start over again in CA makes me feel bad... Naija is sweet if you have money and I just hope our government disposition to given us good governance changes for good. Well done pretty naija ladies

This is so true. A friend of mine who went to nursing school in Nigeria with me traveled to Canada and was demoted to an Lpn, while I only had to take the NCLEX in the US and continued my career as a professional registered nurse. The difference is much ?

No nation like Nigeria. Our only problem here is bad leadership. If we get good leadership, I am telling you that people won't leave Nigeria. Again, if you are doing a job that is salary based, forget about being a millionaire or billionaire. It really doesn't work. You can only make such money from business

Wo, everybody has to choose what they’re comfortable with. Stay in Nigeria and stay with Buhari and all the dangers that come from living in Nigeria. Live in Canada and cope with the high taxes, weather, etc.\n\nChoose one. Me I don choose Canada.

My sisters Canada is still a good country compare to Nigeria where there is no good infrastructural facility, power and security of lives and properties. Look at how organized the government is compare to Nigeria where there is no. accountability. Tell me what is working where we came from. Right now ASSU on strike, government establishments getting moribund everyday. People immigrate from one place to place to better their lives. A lot of people will prefer Canada to Nigeria in-spite of these shortcomings. You can easily walk yourself up right there in Canada. I don’t see much difference between living in Canada and US. If you don’t want to pay taxes you can relocate to Nigeria and make your cool money and no one will come after your wealth. If you live in any part of the world and you don’t want to pay taxes but want to benefit from the facilities built with tax payers money that is corruption. That is my thought

These girls its basically Nigeria that is doing them..from complaining about paying taxes to everybody having the same healthcare provisions..after fulfilling an application process of years to get to the Canada..all of the things mentioned in this video are basic observations that Nigerians typically refuse to take into consideration..

There is NO perfect man made kingdom of heaven on earth ? If Canada is not good for you, go back to Nigeria to face bandit kidnappers, armed robbers, poor healthcare, incompetent and corrupt government, police brutality, injustice, big man oppression, bad forex rate Naira to Dollar, unemployment, generator smoke for electricity, etc; go back to shit-hole hell on earth ??????
|
| 2022-08-24 | 0 |
You pay taxes to keep the country a first world nation. Also if you feel bored please leave and don't return. The nerve of these people. If you don't want to be a minority, go back to Nigeria

It is better than Nigeria ?? dear

I can understand your contributions and I'm glad you shared it. But I paid tax in Nigeria and I almost pay for everything here. I pay for my child school fees, health insurance, security (transportation is hell here)) and I don't even earn that much. I will rather stay in a place where almost 50% of my responsibility is being taking care of by the government using my taxes. By that I will know my tax is working for me. The good thing is that most of this western countries helps with unemployment which I don't see here.

How do you think the Government pay for free schools, healthcare and other free things you enjoy. Something must give my dear. I would love for Nigeria to collect big taxes if it would work. See my dear, if Canada is that bad pls move back to Nigeria.

My wife also is tired of this country Nigeria and has been praying seriously we relocate to Canada or UK. This video is making me to think again. Anyway, thank you so much and God blessings.

My dear am afraid of this deep truth about there oo.\nIt's only about the passport that will still keep me trying to be there, if not, I better look for where I will make money & come back home & leave a worthy retired life.\nI quite appreciate this you guys marvelous worthy information.\n In the first place, if not for the Devilish Governmental system that is in place in Nigeria, where on earth could have been better than Nigeria..\n Thanks a lot, I will change my Destination to where I will achieve my aim.
