I'm not against immigration, but in moderation. My best friend in grade 6 was and Indian girl, that was a long time ago. I have friends of all backgrounds, but we need equality and diversity spread out! We can't have immigrants piled into one area taking it over and having all the other cultures leave. That's not proper immigration or diversity. When my child's school has to recognize Ramadan and other ethnic holidays, it's not right. WE didn't move to India, they came here. THEY must adopt our cultural ways in public. Wear what you want, but don't force my city, my children to adopt your ways.

White Brampton millennial resident who grew up in 99.9% white East Coast here- this video does not provide an accurate representation of the entire city. It shows a tiny sliver. Brampton’s crime levels are lower than most other GTA cities. I feel safer here as a single woman than any other city I’ve lived in. There are Indians calling back home to their families in India in the middle often the night and they often go outside so as to avoid disrupting the sleeping members of their household. This makes me feel very safe bc I know there are normal ppl out late at night and it dissuades criminals. For the population size of Brampton, the homeless population is very low. There are folks who do sit in front of that church - tho it’s not at all dangerous like you said. There is a homeless enclave hidden in the woods behind a shopping plaza too. I see almost no homeless ppl. The biggest problem about Brampton and other suburbs of the GTA is that there are many scammers. They scammed their way into buying homes with fake T4s. They scam the CRA by not claiming their rental income so they tax evade. They use all this extra money to buy more homes which they rent out and fraudulently put them under their family members names to avoid designating them as investment properties meaning they don’t have to pay capital gains tax when they sell. T

I would rather have India than chinese. Indians are way more inviting & kind. Try to rent in a only chinese area. Good luck.

I'm an Indian Hindu, and I can proudly say that Sikhs protect people, they don't attack. \nBut on the other hand, I agree that the cops are right. I once work at a place with all indians and there were only 5 white people 2 Africans and 1 Muslim they always treated us like crap at that work place you go to a fast food place or bank they serve there own kind faster then anyone else they complain we all are racist but in reality they are the ones who are racist the only way most of them made money to come to Canada was scamming money out of people from there own country they bring nothing but shame to my eyes it's time for us Canadians seriously do something about it our we all are going to be left in the wind

Stop being racist for your own failures in life. Indians in the US UK AUS and Canada have the best education rates, their children excel in Math and Sciences, they have good family morals and values. They arent being handed everything like other communities. I have worked with all types and Indians, Chinese and Jews are successful for a reason. I have rented out properties to Indians, Africans, Whites, and ill tell you straight up I have had the whites and blacks skip paying rent and they trashed my apartment in Hamilton ON. It's the same thing in Ottawa. I moved here in 2019 from Montreal and the culture shock was immediate. I've already made up my mind to leave the country because it's absolutely finished. If all goes to plan, I'll be out of here by 2026. Canada will become an Indian majority country in less than 20 years and Canadians are asleep at the switch. They don't seem to understand or care what happens when you dump a million or more immigrants per year into a country of just 40M and while Indians aren't bad people per se, even they will tell you that the new stock of Indians coming into the country isn't the same as the old. They're far more tribal than they ever used to be. Trudeau opened the floodgates, but I don't think Poilievre will be able to close them. I live in his riding and there are a loooot of indians here. There's no way he'll want to risk stirring up the hornet's nest. The Canada we knew is on death's doorstep.

I grew up in Glace Bay, NS with my White brothers and sisters, things were normal and how our founding fathers intended. It only took a few years to completely ruin this country! This isn't Canada anymore, and that is a fact. Just go to a Tim Hortons or a Walmart and you will think you're in India; for every 20 Indians you might spot 3 White people, it's insane! Ok.. I haven’t any issues with the Indian people. I would however like to see certain things adopted for everyone’s sake. For example; fast food has been popular since the 60’s & 70’s it hit popular because menu items were tested and the way a burger is assembled right down to the condiments was worked out by the franchisers and food experts in the North Americans tastes and preferences. To be uncomfortably honest. I have not had a burger from a fast food restaurant that I truly enjoyed for a few years now. And I suspect that franchisees from India and the preferred employees also Indian do not grow up eating North American cuisine and do not fundamentally understand how foul too much condiments can make an item. And there is seemingly Zero effort to learn how to correctly assemble the products. Quite frankly I would be surprised if the employees that do the work would eat the food they make due to the culinary culture. And if they do.. I doubt it prepared in the same manner as for average customers. I just don’t think mayonnaise, ketchup & mustard are used in India on food. How would we expect them to understand the mistake at all.

Listen as a minority person who is proud of my heritage but grew up here with immigrant parents who were given refuge in Canada, I can understand immigration. But...its getting out of hand, most of them are from India, most of them have homes in India and often return there for long vacations, These are not refugees or a diverse spread of peoples coming here. I am not hateful in any way but sometimes you have to tell it like it is, A lot of these people are not adapting to the culture here, why? Because most of them are grown already and are used to their own customs, with an ever increasing population now living here they don't really feel the need to learn or adapt because there are less regular Canadians. When I was in school it was already pretty multi-cultural and diverse although yes in my area there are less asians and black people, we had a lot of European(Serbian/Romanian) in particular. Now I go to the store and it's like 80% brown/Indian people lol, even my neighbors, most have moved out and more indian families are moving in. My city is expanding into like a mini Toronto when we can't even handle it, people cant even find jobs, people need all this other stuff, Its just too many all at once, crime rates have gone up over the last few years, this doesn't help anyone, immigrants either.

Our immigration system is completely fucked, and there is a billion dollar racket in India filled with lawyers, visa scammers, and consultants that are finding every which way to exploit it for profit. It's not sustainable. In the 90s, only the most qualified immigrants were being let it. Now it is literally indian village kids with fake Visas that don't know how to not oogle women on the street. Harrison .. next stop should be Surrey B.C. where I grew up over 60 years ago. The demographic has largely shifted completely from Anglo Saxon to Indian, Sikh and Muslim almost overnight. Canadian Governments have been more concerned with making Money than supporting a well established Homeland, that they've not only lost the plot, they have prostituted our Heritage as Canadians !!! Growing up in Brampton most of my life and now being able to travel for work I say let them have it. Brampton is over priced and over crowded. High crime rate. No night life. Only a handful of choices for cuisine. Canada is an enormous country and the real shame is not being able to move to another city as easy as it should be when a good for nothing one gets invaded the way Brampton has. I’m currently out in Woodstock and all the new houses in the north of the city is ALL Indians. On any nice day you’d think the neighborhood park is little India with all the aunties and uncles at the benches. The damage is done, this country’s immigration system needs a complete overhaul.

This is pretty hard to describe as multiculturalism. I have no issue with Indian Canadians whatsoever. A lot of really good hard working poeple come here from there, and I respect their culture. My concern is how we maintain Canadian amid this type of immigration 15:21 seems like there is no real attempt to integrate new Canadians to our system and beliefs. We don't want to end up like Europe where foreign cultures have imposed themselves on the population. We shouldn't have to adapt or adjust to other cultures they came here to share and improve our way of life. Canada has a dignified history worthy of preservation despite our mistakes in the past. Our grandparents didn't lay their lives down for to capitulate in becoming a post national state.\nOur leaders are bringing shame to the sacrifice of previous generations.

Got the same going on further north of GTA east Indians starting spread up hear barrie and further. They have the same attitude ? its frustrating they can barely speak English and they have an attitude if we can't understand what there saying..they don't seem to have any interest in fitting into Canadian culture. I lived in Old Downtown Brampton, Century home, North side of the tracks on Isabella St for many years and I'm mortified that 6min into this segment all I've seen is toothless white trash. I worked with an Indian fellow and I was amazed at how racist he was towards Indians. He was endlessly annoyed that he came all the way to Canada just to end up in India again.

You have to understand what is driving this. The Lieberals in Canada are similar to the Demoncrats in the USA. They want this immigration to continue indefinitely, for political reasons. In Canada, the vast majority of immigration is from brown people coming from India. These people multiply like rabbits in heat, the Lieberals assume that is how they will e land their electoral base moving forward. One Indian woman in heat can start having kids at 16 and older, unlike our native population of millennials, who would rather have pets rather than children. And of course the Lieberals assume all these brown people will overwhelmingly vote for them moving forward. In the USA, it’s brown people coming in too, but these are Hispanic browns, and they are mostly coming in illegally. This is Indian foreign officer. India has worst customer service in the world. I love India but the bureaucrats of India are the worst and absolutely corrupt. I remember as a child, my father went to get a visa from the San Francisco Indian Embassy. the guy was coming up with multiple excuses. My dad pulled out a few hundred bucks and it to him and then five minutes later we got the visa. My father told me this is the way India works. You just have to give little bribe and your work will get done promptly.

It does NOT occur to them that no matter what the imagined provocation is, this is NOT the way an officer must speak to the CUSTOMER [yes visa applicants are the customers of the embassy/consulate and the consulate is providing a service to the client, so customer service matters here as well]. This DADAgiri business is so typical of India. Any person who has a power over another will SHOUT [even beat /physically assault] the other person from time to time to assert said authority. Parent - Child, Teacher - student, Policeman - citizen, Boss - worker, the list goes on.

Until 2020 (pandemic), most lifelong Canadians would have proudly & quickly said Canada is a great place. For multiple generations (young & old). It still is in many ways. But like all countries, a bunch of things have made life more difficult lately. \n \nDuring the COVID lockdowns, many people went wild wanting to buy a house (urban & rural). Increasing demand and rising prices. Not long after, inflation caused mortgage rates especially to rise. Rent costs soared too. People interested in working in hospitals declined. Less doctors etc.. \n \nSimultaneously in Canada, the number of people coming by air, land and boat to claim asylum skyrocketed. For example, in 2023 alone, in just one region (Central Canada) around 400 people arrived per day (on average). Ditto for other populated provinces. Also the number of international students SKYROCKETED too. In 2023, averaging around 2,000 per day across Canada. Years 2021 and 2022 had high #s too. \n \nThe majority trying to migrate to Canada recently have been from South Asia. And it's become extremely obvious to Canadians. Even those that are very used to much diversity & many cultures. Plus neighborhoods now know that international students are using schooling as a 'back door' ticket to come to Canada for permanent residency. No one says it in public amongst strangers, but everyone knows because they've witnessed the extreme PR frenzy firsthand by now. To many Canadians it has felt like a tidal wave that has reached all cities and small towns, with a post secondary school. This extreme situation never existed prior to 4 years ago.\n \nHospitals have been hit with many wanting free healthcare. Less doctors/nurses etc., means greater waiting times. Plus a VERY SEVERE HOUSING CRISIS has occurred in many western countries including in Canada. In ways not seen in people's lifetimes. And if you do find a place to live its quite expensive. Including small basement rooms. \n \nNow westerners want the money greedy agents (pseudo smugglers) in other countries to stop marketing & LYING to their own people about access to PR or citizenship … or accommodation/jobs … being easy (to get). And for any greedy people living in western countries to be ashamed of themselves if they're hurting students. Anyone doing things to make $ off of people's PR desires. At best, there is a 25% chance of gaining PR (better odds if you are masters/medicine etc.). \n \nNot all players across the board have acted honestly over the years, i.e. contract marriages (IELTS spouse), anchor babies, fraud, false asylum claims. Canada has asked the India government to prevent “ghost consulting”. The new PRIVATE (non-public) colleges are being investigated (including looking for strong oversea ties). \n \nCanadians are meeting students who told Canada they have enough $, but it turns out they borrowed it (some borrowed it for the application process only). Canadian food banks and other CHARITY services have been recklessly advertised on YouTube (by India students in Indian language). Many transit services have launched stricter rules, i.e. lost monthly bus passes registered in your name are now never replaced (unlike before). \n \nThen this year throw in all the Palestinian vs Israeli angry protests happening regularly in cities. Plus the Sikh vs Hindu violence/extortion mostly happening in Ontario and British Columbia. Plus the Canadian government also recently launched investigations in regards to foreign interference in Canadian elections. All stemming from Asia continent. Hate crimes have gone from rare to occasional (primarily South Asians against South Asians). \n \nCanadians are so so so so so not used to all this. So many, who have embraced multi-culturalism and immigration for decades are now VERY worried and fearful (due to all of the above). And all are praying it doesn't turn into great anger (like in the USA). \n \nCanadians want multi-culturism to succeed … and for all people (including immigrants) to be okay. Everyone I know is VERY happy with Canada Immigration's recent changes (reductions & investigations). Including multi-generational long-term Asian-Canadians where many have been the most upset (by all of this).

I remember my story at Mumbai Airport in 1998, when the immigration officer was upset , threw my passport and said he won't let let me cross. I had just completed my studies in India, I did not say anything to him , but still he was upset, I was appalled by that uncivil behavior, so I'm not surprised that this uncivil Indian acted this way. You will never come across this in a civilized society. Shameless govt servant.

It is very interesting to observe how demographics have changed over the decades.When I first arrived in Canada in 1972 (51 years ago), the Indians were almost invisible, it would be an extraordinary sight to see one. Now, they are all over the place and there is no housing by the way. But yes, it's the student visas that have saturated the system and now the inept government is scrambling to find solutions to the housing problem that has ballooned. I get CPP and old age pension but have to continue working due to the high cost of living, it is ridiculous.
