Close Reading

I'm a white male, have been followed numerous times and often monitored by a shop worker standing next to me way too close and looking at what I do. Who do I complain to? Oh, I can't because I'm white.

shopping while black -- happened to me. I was in high school at the time, and I was playing hooky from class. Went into a Lucky's shopping store just to look around, to pass the time really so that I could skip first period. Manager stopped me on my way out with angry tone, demanded me to open my purse and accused me of taking something. I hadn't of course. Later told my mom about what happened and she was so angry she demanded an apology from the store manager, who did apologize

There are a lot of things that we have not put into law, because they are covered by common sense. If a Muslim woman goes into a shop and makes a purchase It is reasonable for the shop keeper to want to see their face, after all a large robe can hide a lot of shop lifted goods.. We can make that law if it becomes necessary, so a person must comply with the law and not claim that their religious law is greater. Trouble with the Muslim religion is that it is a political system within a religion.. Just think of all the wrong that was done in the name of Christianity, we have learnt from that, now the Muslims have to learn the same lesson.

many old stock Canadians do not want this in Canada...more foreigners...more people from another planet to get used to....more multi culturism being shoved down our throats...old Canada is slipping away fast...thanx to Justin and others like him who came before. I don't hate muslims, but I don't understand moving to the west and having a Hijab and beard and praying 20,000 times a day, this is not what the west is about. The middle East is reserved for that kind of lifestyle, may be its good maybe its bad, but there is a time and place for everything, the West in not for that. If Westerners in the same numbers as Muslims; moved to the middle East and started to set up shop there Western style it would be inappropriate for us to do so and not the right thing, and Muslims would definitely not have any of that.

The thing is, this is the western culture. Why are you covering yourself, then wonder why people stare? You're bringing a religion from another culture upon us, I remember when a Muslim family wanted a picture of a Pig off an Italian butcher shop in little Italy? Like really?

so alcohol is evil and plagues the streets? perhaps you should stop selling it in your 24 hour corner shops then....

unlike most western who eat fast food, take away, most muslims cook at home and buy their meat from muslim butcher shop. We do not buy ready meals form super markets.\n\n
