That old lady is absolutely and outright lying. First off, she stood in lines for hour or days to get her green card? That means she came at a time when immigration was much easier and wanted, to increase gdp and to do the jobs normal Americans didn’t want to. Now, immigration takes forever, many years in fact, because the older republican white generation figured out that they yet again the minority, which has never actually changed. But republicans now use the immigration card because it’s literally their only option, why do you think Trump stopped the bill. He would be losing so much support. Also, for that old Mexican lady to say those things about her own family, tells me, she is not someone who cares for others or may even care at all. Lastly, different times of immigration, this time around, those leaving other countries are trying to save their families lives, having to deal with authoritarian dictators, drug cartels and corrupt governments. She may have had some of that, but I doubt it, she just wanted to move here and make a better life for herself, screw her loved ones. I work for an Canadian Indian trucking company in Texas and I have to say Indians are some of the most racist people I've ever met. Have been saying it for years to many international students from India lived in qc there were so many international students coming from Punjab to qc. They will go just about anywhere in Canada if it means it will get them a PR wow left qc and moved to Ottawa so far have not seen so many international students . Even as a Born Canadian my parent came from India back in the 80s\nDon’t want to live with Indians . That came from India in 2024 they are rude to girls on the bus have no shame . Ben living in Canada for 40+ years only know there has been a. Influx of migrants from India. Before the people come they at least new basic English and got usto the way of living the new once they don’t even know basic English and don’t have any common sense how they pass is beyond me . Blame TRUDEAU for opening the flood gates. Indians that have been living in Canada for years were finally getting respected and it all went down hill .

I have been living in Germany for 6 years and I never felt I could settle. Now that I have a German partner and I’m reconsidering things, but even with that it doesn’t feel like home. What most people here say is totally true: absurd bureaucracy, bad weather, angry people everywhere. Germany is not a country for everybody. You should know very well what you want to get out of the country before considering coming here.

I've lived here 6 years and can't wait to leave. Salaries are just enough to get by. I work full-time as an analyst and am looking for a minijob just to save money, which I already live quite modestly. It's easy to come across nasty unfriendly people, neighbors, service people, people in government agencies. I hate people staring in the most unfriendly manner or givng attitude for no reason other than they are nasty people. Don't get me wrong, there are nice people as well, but the bad experiences outweigh the good. Beauracracy is overbearing, personalities are underwhelming, the food scene is underwhelming, learning German is a big burden when you work a full-time job (and now I need a minijob too??). The country seems like it wants to diminish the human spirit and ambition. I definitely regret moving here. Many housing companies are over charging rent. I found out the company, Deutschewohnen, who owns my apartment was overcharging me by nearly double!! I had to go through a year long court procession to get them to lower it to the legal price which I won. And now they sent me a letter last month saying they are raising my rent, which is illegal and I have to go through ANOTHER court battle with them. Of course it is exhausting to try and find another apartment. Some people search up to a year. What a joke. And not to mention the dating scene. I've been single the entire 6 years and I'm quite an outgoing, friendly, loveable person. Dating Germans comes with own weird experiences and I refuse to give them a chance anymore, for my own mental health. If you're POC, it's not uncommon to come across strange sexualizations and general lack of understanding other's cultures. A couple years ago I was attacked by 8 men while walking home at night. I ended up in the hosopital and there was an investigation opened. The police asked me why they attacted me, which I didn't know since it was unprovoked. They just followed me for awhile, surrounded me and started beating me. The police said it was probably because I'm Asian. Meanwhile, I'm not even Asian!!! I'm Latino. ??‍♂This is the type of ignorance POC have to deal with in Germany. Also, I only have 1 German friend and all my other friends are immigrants (which I love) but this poses it's own frustrations because many people move here, then move away after a few years when they learn they can have a more fulfilling life elsewhere. So keeping long term day-to-day friends can be a challenge. The entire system is exhausting and there's not enough balance to bring joy to my life to want to stay. When I lived in NYC, an African American aquaintance had just moved there after living in Berlin for 8 years. She warned me not to move here because I will never feel I belong. I didn't listen. She is not wrong fully, I have met good sofesticated indians living in Canada and they say that people coming from mostly Punjab and Haryana have made a havoc in Canada. They are too loud, dirty and filthy. There is a big safety concers for Canadians and even Indian origin canadians in Canada. Even our people who have gone there to work legally say that they don't want any indian in Canada. I am living in Europe and I see the same thing. People from our country just don't have any civic sense, they are mostly very dirty and because of them, many people find it difficult to find a apartment. Before slamming that lady, we should think of ourselves and we should improve our nation first.

I think most of this must apply in other parts of Canada, Ive lived in Ottawa for 10 yrs now and never met more rude people. They dont want to get to know you, they dont want you talking to them, they dont want to follow up on anything they say, over and over ive been told people would come over and they never do. even after making plans, they still no show you. Im From Texas, and ITs way more friendlier there.

In Canada, there is not enough housing and jobs are scarce, especially for anyone at the entry level or basic wage. We've been absolutely swamped. This is not the fault of the immigrants or the students, it's the fault of our extremely stupid and short sighted government. Most of those immigrants I encounter are good people, polite and considerate. But some, well I understand where the complaints about rude and inconsiderate behaviour come from, because it only takes a few bad experiences to get people angry. I've experienced it myself, but most of it (from my experience) seems to be from students who are very loud and impolite on public transit. The housing situation here is INSANE, prices are sky high and very little to choose from. A lot of seniors now can only afford to rent a room (after having worked all their lives and very little to show for it), and prices are up about 50% from only 5 years ago. The government says inflation is a fraction of what it is in real life, and living expenses have exploded. As I understand it, some people made a lot of money offering services to bring students and low wage workers in, with no consideration to the damage they were doing to all of us who were born and raised here - they wanted to make their million dollars. Another problem is that once someone arrives here, what they find is NOT what they were led to believe. What students and immigrants are told they need to live here is an absolute lie, living here in Canada has become very expensive. Many workers are severely under paid, and never even see the legal minimum wage, and the problem with that is, almost no Canadian will be hired on to those jobs - the reasons are that imported foreign workers will work below minimum wage because they are trapped here, and the Canadians already know that they will only struggle if they take jobs that pay so poorly. So yes, a lot of Canadians are VERY angry, and you really can't blame them. Once again, the Canadian government is responsible for much of this, and crooked employers who are willing to take advantage of low wage labour. It's an absolute mess.

Trudeau says we need more people in health care, but we aren't bringing in the right people to fill those gaps. We are bringing in uneducated people to fill fast food jobs. That's not going to make Canada a strong economically stable country. Instead of pandering to the businesses that want to stay open 7 days a week and need these low level employees, it would be preferable to return to a system where everything isn't open 24/7 requiring all of these low level positions ti be filled.

I am sorry to say. This is not India problem. This is a Punjab problem. I have a few rentals and these peoples from Punjab and North India ( delhi, haryana, UP) especially young ones don't follow any rules, they think they can do whatever they want and aren't afraid of laws.

The big issue with mass immigration is there has been next to no quality control. The indians that arrived a decade ago say the indians arriving today suck because they're of a different social class. A decade ago immigrating to Canada wasn't easy so anyone who did come here was typically educated and of higher quality. I think the majority of indians are good people just trying to make it but if you bring in millions just viewing them as $ cows of course there are going to be a percentage of bad ones. A greater issue with this too is now the country is in such disarray that anyone who is a potential quality immigrant might not want to come here.

I'll add some context to our government. Prime minister harper who was an economics major I believe started saying no to the aboriginal peoples stopped catering to them. During the election it was a collective that all natives would vote ndp and the liberals were second last only behind the green party. Getting closer to the election Trudeau promised if elected to legalize marijuana and fund more efforts towards missing indigenous women ( that's a whole other story in itself). Trudeau won a majority government. They won't admit it but alot of blue collar people voted for Trudeau because of the legalization of weed. Fast forward immigration grew and new immigrants were strategically placed in certain cities and areas to vote for the liberals. The next election Trudeau lost the popular vote but won based on Canada's version of the electoral college. This time around I don't think he can win I've heard very very few people in this country say they want him so in a year things may get better or the damage is done.

Like I explained, to those who say this will sour the us and canada's relationship. Americans don't care because even though Canada is less than 50% white, in they minds its still a majority white nation. That's why you don't see the BUILD A WALL etc, like you see with mexico, because even though the majority of immigrants crossing into the us from Mexico, might have been Mexican in the early 2000's, now that's not the case, 300k Colombians in one years, 175k indians, 75k turks, 150k, from Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal, Afghanistan, 500k from Russia and Ukraine since the war began, 200k from ecuador, 75k Chinese per year etc etc. And they scream, build a wall, and make mexico pay for it. In Turkey, they increase the prices by tricking people that prices will eventually increase, so buy it right now. THIS caused a loop and huge inflation also rush to houses, cars, hard products etc. That way, companies make enormous profits especially construction companies & car manufacturers. Why did government decide to do that so? Because government wanted to secure financial status of these big companies without banks giving them loans by transferring wealth from people to companies.\n\nThere is another side for these moves: Globally, there is an ongoing plan to lower birthrate in well-developed countries such as Canada, France, Germany etc. Why is that? They say, people from western countries create more carbon emissions than people in India, Bangladesh etc and in order to ensure green transformation of energy, birthrate must(?) fall. \n\nThere are also other reasons that we live in difficult times. But that's enough. We, people, have to do something. The day passes without a protest, governments & big companies get more strength and enforces hard conditions on people.
