Here's my question to this brother: how can you expect a brighter future for anyone in a system that you are complaining about, which is the same system, at best, that they are going to be living in?

I told people many times Africa is the best place to live if not the bad leadership that erupt Africa continent we have everything you are looking for under this planet if everything is programming African can feed the world simple

Let’s not forget the way they were driven out of this country during the “gold rush” and centuries of genocide as colonizers migrated west who by the way were immigrants. I’ve had relatives loose jobs at hospitals because immigrants kept going to hospitals not paying for services and those same hospitals had to close down. The US government has their hands aka MY TAX MONEY in every pot in the world except for their own. It’s time to ask the American people where they want their tax dollars to go and if lawful immigration is one of those things then let them pay if public education is their preference then let them pay their taxes toward what they believe makes America the best country for them to live. And because this is America I’m almost certain their is a corporation or an elected official profiting financially from all of the anguish and chaos that the group of people pictured in this video are displaying. There is profit in pain and America capitalizes off of it in all the best and worst ways.

So sad, you don't trash your country on a platform like this no matter challenges that country is going through. Some people built Canada to what is it today that your fellow Omo ti ko ri ola ri ( persons comming from poverty). At a point in history, Canada was a struggling country but I don't think Canadian talk trashed of their country. Yes this is sad for the individual. But we have all seen the marbles ted talk. If you haven't it is basically the idea that the US can only take a drop in the bucket when it comes to immigrants. Even if we took the same percentage as Canada did, its still nothing compared to the amout of people trying to get in. It is better for thier home country for them to live here for a little bit and go back. The US essentially only takes the best and brightest people from other countries. I absolutely agree. Australia is one of the best countries to live with a work-life balance. They have yet to talk about 10% super contribution which was made to their retirement fund. There are heaps of vegetarian, kosher, halal options. People are super friendly and very humble and polite. It is heartbreaking to hear this. In emergency it depends what is happened to you. Australia has the highest labour wage in OECD I think now at $24 + super. Reigonal areas like Canberra, TASMANIA etc they are not to bad.

Canada is not the only county seeing this, and the US not the only country turning it's back on the benifits of immigration. You could have made the exact same video about Ireland vs the UK (except wages in Ireland are far high rather than lower than the UK) Here in Ireland we have long benefitted a great level of immigration fuelling rapid economic growth but since 2016 with Brexit, Trump ect. making it clear that immigrents aren't welcome in some other counrties we have seen a whole new type of immigrent from countries like Mexico where recent graduates seaking work experence in English pick Ireland rather than the US or UK as we have a better immigration system but also a culture which welcomes immigration as an endorcment of our country. Here the more you are proud of you country and culture the more you go out of your way to welcome immigrents who are the living embodyment of your belief that we are the greatest counrty in the world, not the welcome immigrents can expect from nationalists in the US or UK. The big winners here are countries like Canada & Ireland who have recognised that in the 21st Century it's not coal, iron or even oil that brings wealth but rather being able to attract the best & brightest talent in the world.

All I can say as a Canadian is why would anyone want to move to the USA.The more I learn the more I love where I live the USA is a hot mess and watching the kind of people that you elect is mind boggling . Manitoba is the best provinces I used to live in. House expense is cheap, lots of beautiful landscapes in Manitoba. Unlike such as Toronto big cities etc. very expensive property cost, ugly human made concrete forest. You only feel out of breath for everyday hard work including weekend overtime work to make a living. Lots of wasting time and money for political elections. Why would I move from a country that is near the top of best countries to live in list to one that is number 21. There are 20 better places to live. Just watch Fox News for five minutes is enough for me. I lived 30 minutes from the boarder and have not crossed it in 10 years.

There are some States I would consider moving to as a Canadian but I still think Canada is one of the best places to live. Less violence, stricter gun laws, more open to different sexual orientations, diverse population, and free (or almost free) education and health care for all. Canada has its problems and despite it being so bloody cold here, I still choose to live here.

This is highly biased just because they have moved to Canada doesn’t necessarily mean that Australia is any less .Both are DEVELOPED nations to be very precise .Australia has the highest wedge rates and yes as compared it’s hard to get into Australia than Canada because Australia is more into skilled workers it’s twice the size of India with only 2.5 cr of population and they manage their population and jobs at their best which is commendable and the same is with Canada as well .Every country has their own norms and have their pros and cons just because one couple has faced some issue with Australia doesn’t necessarily mean all the people have faced the same thing again it depends on the field you are working at . Covid has changed perspective and situations of every country one more Point Australia has never entered recession in 4 decades that’s a great point to consider . There is nothing wrong if these developed nations having strict barriers to consider people from outside as they want to manage things at their best be it for their own or international people living their which is the best thing any country can do for themselves and most importantly what people need to understand if they are from developing nations is that any developed country will be difficult be it CANDA ,AUSTRALIA etc nothing comes easy so to anyone getting little inclined towards any country I will highly recommend to have an intensive research on this as moving to any developed nations is not easy people have different mindset and perception you can decide what is best for you .?

I lived in Canada from 1983 to 2016 after I left the US Air Force in '83. I was born in the SF Bay area, and grew up there in the Hippie peace love/Viet Nam era in the 60's and 70's. I now live in Seattle. As we have travelled to San Fran, New Orleans, Nashville, Miami, Vancouver (Canada) and New York in the last 6 months, I kinda have a pretty good idea how it was on both sides of the border way back then, as well as right now. We have 2 rental homes, and I STILL have to work until I'm 70 to retire without worrying about losing it all because of the the high cost of health care. Your observation of race/political/religion relations are naive at best, you need to travel the country first hand to see it. Canada has it's far share of right wing crazies as well. They're mostly not armed, and most fights are 5 minute shouting matches. I know this because I work on construction sites. Canada doesn't have commercials for pharma or ambulance chasers. Because big pharma is kept in check, and with a population slightly smaller than California, frivolous lawsuits would clog the courts. If the PM killed some one on the corner of Yonge and Bloor in Toronto, he'd go to jail. You can get an abortion in Canada. There's a fraction of the Fentanyl crisis happening in Canada, and they have waaayy less homeless in the street. Canada has 2 weeks paid vacation AND paid holidays. The tax rate is higher in Canada, but many of the benefits make up the difference. It's cheaper to buy a house in Seattle than Vancouver. You can get a 30 year mortgage in Washington as well, instead of 5 or 10 years. Good and services tend to be cheaper and more plentiful Stateside. Mail service runs on weekends, it hasn't done that in Canada since the 80's. As it stands, I'm in Seattle right now because it isn't the typical US city by far. But I'm thinking when it comes to retiring, I'm putting Canada on the list. Being a dual citizen also makes me eligible for the other Commonwealth (universal health care) countries like Australia.

1st, Canada is a vast country, but its living area is getting overpopulated, mostly in the ontarian peninsula & under the 49th parallel (70%) of us. The country has a high level of tax, add up GST, PST, unaffordable housing and lower quality of public services. This video is not really factual. No mention that QC has the lowest rate of crime & Alberta has one of the highest, Ontario has the best job opportunities but QC has the lowest unemployment rate after Manitoba. Quebec has higher tax than 60% of Canadians but has the lowest postsecondary education tuitions, lowest hydro bills, still affordable housing compared with others.

The thing about the job health insurance that a lot of Americans don't really think of as a business case: If a person has their insurance tied to their job, they will almost never be able to move to another one if they develop a life-threatening condition. Even with diminished bars of entry due to pre-existing conditions, your health insurance can be denied if you transition to another company. If you are denied, your best healthcare options are then tied to your income, and that means you basically have to be unemployed and living on social entitlements. \n\nThe thing is, this locks you into your position, and you are literally at the mercy of the company which means you're only going to be doing the minimum amount of work necessary to not get fired. If you have a socialized/universal single-payer healthcare plan, your job is no longer a limiting factor, you can switch employers basically at-will. The boon for businesses is that people will be more able to move rather than have to get you to do a dance with your insurance company. \n\nThe other thing for me is that having been in the US, I felt less safe in blue states than I did in Canada, and I felt worse in red states. The USA is a beautiful country, but it's a STRANGE society. One thing I can say is the USA tends to get bright fast once they catch on to how big a problem actually is, so here's to hoping that happens soon because brother, you have a mess of problems on your plate. \n\nThis isn't the only thing, but FWIW, I have had multiple opportunities to move to the US for work, and I work in a field where I can command a very good salary, but I choose to not live there. I'd move to Belize, or a Nordic EU country instead.

I have no formal education beyond grade 12 and no money to afford school and no credit for a loan. If not for the child tax credit and social assistance I wouldn't be able to live without my(former) abusive partner, I would have been stuck living on the streets.\n\nBecause the system was designed to help people stay afloat, not get ahead, I broke even and can now work a full time minimum wage job and care for my son in peace and stability. It's a nice feeling <3\n\nWelfare covers most all prescriptions so you only pay $5 for each regardless of what they cost.\n\nThe system could use some major improvements in several areas(dental and eye care being two of them), but it works for our current situation\n\nI only recently found out that the states doesn't have the child tax credit as a regular form of income for parents. Having read all of this and agree, individual Americans that we meet when we do come down for a visit, are not ogres. They're all trying to live their best lives just as we are. It's just that we come from different origins. We came from England with an established law and order. America was mostly established as a refuge from prosecution and there in lies your craze over gun laws. American is also about making laws around religious beliefs of the majority and that steps on everyone's rights.....also dumps the belief that State and Religion are separate things.

I am from Quebec City and I love my country ! Honestly, the only place I could possibly consider to move (in the US) for my retirement is Honolulu. Hawaii was one of the best experience of my life and one of my favorite place in the world. Yes it's the US but it's also a country of it's own. The people there are the friendliest people I have ever met in all my travels. In short, Hawaii is the only state I would consider to move and it would surely be a place where I would have a foothold to live there for a few months a year during my retirement... So many Americans are brainwashed into thinking the US is the best place to live. Almost no-one else, outside of third world countries agree.

I am retired and my health issues won't allow me to. I don't have employer insurance or even private insurance any more, But I feel I am getting the best care I can get. I see my family doctor regularly every 3-4 months. My prescription drugs are covered, I get grants for my medical conditions. Also with the crime rate, mass murders, and the dangerous political divisions in the country, I have no reason to move to the US. I just feel safer in Canada. Not to mention the corrupt Supreme Court that is impacting on people's lives by taking away rights that people fought for years to obtain.

mcdonalds and starbucks are 2 reasons never to visit let alone move to the US . We visited the US a few years ago and the best part was that it reinforced just how lucky we are to be living in Austyralia

Absolutely not. We won't even visit the US anymore. We live in Canada and Mexico and try our best to not even have a layover there. My parents used to go to Yuma for 6 months and now go to mexico because they feel safer there. I grew up with many health issues and we would be bankrupt even with health insurance. And then my pregnancies from what i heard from other women with my condition it would have been at least $10000. I love my health care, female reproductive rights, gun safety and NO TRUMP
