Im moving out of germany, one of the main reasons are, besides taxes and language, etc that people complain about:\n\n1. Worst food in the world, if you don’t eat fast food you will starve, I need to cook my own meals every single day because there is absolutely nothing decent to eat. Only things I can eat here are schnizel and sushi. \n\n2. Unless you come from a rich white country (USA, Australia, Canada, Japan…) you are not allowed to drive unless you do the test etc again even though as a tourist you can drive. This is just a plain racist law. Uber also sucks in Germany because they over-regulated it. So you cannot get around if you don’t live INSIDE a big urban center.

For me your reasons are spot on. That's why I moved from one of the EU countries to Dubai.

It's cruel to promise the Canadian dream to people who gave up everything at their home country and risked moving here knowing that the system is broken here in Canada.

I'm Canadian, and left over 8 years ago. You couldn't pay me to move back. \nWhenever I go home to visit, I'm absolutely shocked at the prices. Although I'm from the East coast, I spent my last few years in Toronto. The apartment I used to live in was $1200 back then. The rent for that same apartment has now has doubled in price. Groceries are also ridiculous, and tipping culture has gotten out of hand (even though service has gotten significantly worse in many places). Besides spending more time with family and friends, I can't think of a single reason I'd ever move back. Even if I wanted to - I couldn't afford it! \nI've lived in 7 countries since, and have preferred them all over my home city. ?

I had been living in Germany for a very long time, before I moved to the Netherlands several years ago. If we compare DE to NL, than I would indicate the following main advantages of each country:\n\n?? 1) low prices for food and relatively low rental prices for apartments (the prices in NL are at least two times higher) 2) the enterprises are more willing to invest in their employees (in NL you must be already a very skilled/talented worker) 3) if we speak about the German health care system, then you can directly approach a specialist without visiting your GP, even though you must wait an eternity for your Termin (in NL is your huisarts always a key decision maker). 4) The Germans are more friendly towards foreigners (probably because they made a lot of experience with them, due to the mass immigration)\n\n??1) much lower taxes and premiums 3K net salary = 4,2K list salary = 5,2 K premiums (in DE the same 3K net=5K list=8K premiums, of course approximately). 2) much much less courts/lawsuits/warnings about every crumb (have you ever heard about the German Abmahnindustrie???) 3) the young people in NL are the priority (even if we compare the Corona pandemic time, the whole German society strongly prioritized the older ones) 4) much more order in the cities/villages and much less pre-conventional/spoiled immigrants/freeloaders (step out from the same train in Aachen and in Maastricht- you will instantly notice the difference!).\n\nHope to have informed you all sufficiently ??

i dont know but canada is one of the best countries as per standard of living but tiring to move then usa is best county

Protection of Language is important. The problem with expectation of English is because people are used to migrating to US and UK. You should speak basic German the same way people learn English to move to the aforementioned countries. Why a different perspective when it comes to Germany? This is a biased view from a English speakers perspective. I understand the initial struggle but usually people don’t learn even the basics and expect English, which is ignorant. I am actually Indian and have been living in Germany.

I came to Germany 7 years ago , speak German fluently and am on the verge of getting the citizenship but I will leave the country soon , why?\n1- extremely ineffective bureaucracy\n2-high taxes ( like you are being punished for not having a kid and earning more money, how dare you?)\n3- low acceptance for innovation and technology ( I swear I had to use and am still using a Fax Machine!! at work, I thought Fax was something that disappeared when I was a kid but it apparently just moved to Germany )\n4- bad weather\n5- even with a C2 Certificate, Germans are not the most friendliest people around ( like some other central and north european countries ) , you immediately feel the difference in attitude when you go to Spain, Italy or more friendly countries\n6- hypocrisy when it comes to immigration policies... like they want the most skilled workers but they dont want to pay them a good salary and even from that salary half is gone without you seeing it. and yet they still seem to wonder where the problem is.... my friend, Money, make them earn more at the end of the month(AFTER tax) and they will stay, yet they do every other measure apart from this :)))

Murica is the one and only country I moved to for 4 years and I bought 5 rental properties in my homeland all thanks to the money I made. Now I am building my own business in order to move to the States permanently. The US is the one and only country I would love to be in. Loved the country living ? best sh*t ever.

I am now building a business and want to expand to Canada for my actual retirement. The US is great to work but when it's time to settle down I'd rather choose a slower country.\n\nBut tbh it can also be achieved in a good republican state in the US but I am assuming there will be a civil war there with all the woke ridiculous stuff happening there. I believe this is happening in most of the countries currently. No matter where you move plus minus you will find it same. Its due to global recession and increase in interest rate as well as current ongoing wars.

The USA is going down the same drain. At 72, I do not likely have the time to change country. I did move out of Vermont as it was going full communist. Good luck. Trust in God, and pray for wisdom. I did not go where I was planning to, but God put me in a better location.

I totally agree with you...I moved to Canada, to join my wife who was born here and moved overseas with me. She came back 5 years ago and I joined her three years ago. For her, this place has changed alot, and not to the better. For me, it was a shock, as services here are much less than services in third world countries. I am not planning to leave yet, because I still have faith that we can work with other Canadians to make this place better. However, I am not having any real hope from the ruling class who are all willing to enrich the pockets of the few oligarchs they seem to serve rather than working for all of us

Pls notice that that Malaysia is one the best place to move now. It is a multicultural country. Its infrastructure is good. Groceries are much more adfordable. Its education qaulity is also good. More and more investors are injecting capitals to Malaysia. Pls look at Malaysia drom youtube where many people have move to malaysia.

Every one of you that are criticizing immigrants needs to sit back and zip your lip!! Have you sat back and wondered why immigrants are flocking into your countries (?? ????)? Your political leaders or governments started wars or economic policies that negatively impacted those countries which triggered a huge migration! 10-15 years ago, there was less migration as compared to now. I have a similar background as I immigrated to Canada when I was 6 years old. I haven't travelled across 50 countries like Alina but I'm well travelled and Canada is still, in my opinion, the best country in the world. Besides the strong passport and political stability Alina mentioned, Canadians also benefit from the great healthcare system, environmental protections, capital markets, educational system, labour standards, etc. This country has afforded me a wonderful career that allowed me to build wealth while giving me substantial financial flexibility and freedoms. Canada is not perfect but I'm so grateful to my parents for moving us here.

All I have to say is then leave. I was born in this country in 1956 yes we have a bad government, housing costs and inflation. Where would you like to move to say; India where being a woman you stand a good chance of being raped as what happened to that nurse. Or the U.S. where guns seem to be more important than human life.

We all have our destiny to experience and live out. Sometimes we think the decisions we make are in our control. After leaving Vietnam, I never would have expected the life I have lived so far. After living in LA for a very long time, I decided to move, and it was the perverbial question, where? Leave the States totally, return to Calgary, or else where. A former company was finishing building a new facility in Australia, which I thought would be ideal having been a manager there. In between I took a trip to Europe for the first time, which caused me to rethink my plans. Two years later I moved to Europe, hook, line and sinker, no job, no place to live, no nothing, just did it. I have no regrets after 30+ years living, working, enjoying my life here. It's not for everyone, but it was my destiny. I've lived on 4 continents, 7 countries and on an island.

Honestly economic situation is bad everywhere if you are judging Canada with that sense. No country is good atm to move. They have their own good and bad stuffs. Anyways you are welcome in Scotland if that’s in your list.

I moved to Australia from Canada over 20 years ago. After the draconian lockdowns and being forced out of my job by j mandates, I've wanted to get the hell out of this country. Since Labor won all state elections and the federal election, things have taken a serious downturn. It's a big clown show. The state government here in Victoria, home of Dictator Dan, has racked up such a colossal debt that there's just no way out of it. They're raising taxes and making up new ones as the go along into the abyss. There's nothing here but a big real estate bubble and when it pops, there will be tent cities all over the place. The government created the problem just like in Canada. They increased the population by 1.6% in ONE SINGLE YEAR with immigration and now there's not enough housing to meet demand. The lockdowns took all my savings and a chunk of my superannuation to just survive, and I was robbed of over a year of earnings by the government. I've been stuck in this massively over-priced hovel for 3 years longer than I had planned and now would be lucky to even be in the top 20 picks for a rental, at twice the price. It's only a matter of time before the job market implodes due to business closures and the all around terrible climate in which to start new business. I want out, but the prospect of returning to Canada is beyond depressing. Everything that drove me out of Canada in the first place is 10x worse now. My other alternative is UK but I don't feel like going to prison for liking memes about Keir Starmer on Facebook, so UK is out of the question. Not to mention that it's economically doomed and has a worse healthcare system than Canada. There are lines around city blocks to get into a GP clinic.

Which place are you moving to? Or which country? I am considering immigration as well. Please share your planning and research if possible.

I wish i had the means to move to other country without worrying my finances. Although, i am grateful that i still have a job (but quite a stressful job), I felt that i am stuck in a rat race, and it seemed like the future is bleak.

America and Canada used to be a dream country for other countries .Freedom and opportunities and benefits but sadly I noticed a lot of Americans are moving to other countries because of too much taxes, high prices of everything , many drug addicts and homeless and illegals .

I have lived in Canada for 37 years now, and pretty much i feel Canadian with a background of turkish and i was born in Bulgaria. I have lots of options, i can get my Bulgaria citizenship and look for better opportunities in the European union countries or move to Türkiye, or settle in the village where i was born for a much more relaxing life with cleaner air and organic foods. I got 4 more years to pay off my business vehicle with very little mortgage left. I also want to know if we can get rid of the current government heads and if the new heads can turn things around.

So agree with you Alina! We came to Canada from Ukraine in 2009, we were around the same age you are now. We came to Saskatchewan, settled happily in Saskatoon and we really liked this city despite harsh winters. Unfortunately, bcos of rising living costs, homelessness, and addictions issues happening in a city right now, had to move to a smaller city in SK in 2021. Realizing, we made the right choice while listening to friends who have to pick up extra shifts and find one more job to afford things they used to afford in the past with no problems. It's all about surviving now, not about living. If I had a choice, I would have stayed in Saskatoon, and wouldn't have moved to a smaller place just to be able to go on vacation. Too bad, you have to choose one or the other now. We are contemplating about our next step as well. It might be one of Eastern European countries, we'll see what the future holds for us. I am a small town Saskatchewan boy that married a Philippine lady and have 2 kids. In 2023 we decided to sell both are houses and moved to the Philippines with are kids still in elementary school and best decision we have ever made. Canada is not the same country i grew up in the 80s

Ive had ads to move to Canada. And im from Australia. They are solving the first word fertility decline through immigration. I wish they would support people born in the country having children. Im pregnant now and it seems like i missed the golden days when having kids cost less and ill always struggle. Hitting the milestones such as first house, education, and having children cost soooo much more now. So people aren't doing it. And immigrants are needed.

I understand you. I am so anxious in Canada, the rents are double what they were a few years back, and I can afford my apartment only because I have stayed in the same place for several years. I need to move because of bad neighbors for 2 years, but I cannot afford to move out. I could change countries, but I am too old to want to start from the start, to quit my job without knowing if I would find another in a new country. Good you can work from everywhere, I would gladly quit Canada if I had a remote job!

HighTaxes, insanely increasing cost of living and statis salary (no payraise in last 3 years), free but poor health service atleast at GPs... most of them are good for nothing except for writing you 5 days to sick note )..and fading jobs in IT sector for non-German speaking (no interviews after 1000+ job applications in 4 months) and no job security .. half of people I know have been laid-off atleast once in last 3 years (good that they got 60% of their salary for 1 year but that is not good enough to survive in such an expensive country).... Rent increases 20% every year and services (repair etc) are crazy expensive... It is extremely hard to manage here ... thinking of moving out as soon as I get an option

It's sad to hear that Canada is in a such a state at the moment, it's a bit pity because I always wanted to visit as it seemed like it's a such a beautiful country. The move is completely understandable though. All the best with your next step!

I fully agree with you. The International Students, most of them have no manners and are rude. I use public transport. Some don't pay fares, talk loudly in their language either on the phones or in a group. They push to get in or out of the buses. They have taken away jobs from our youth, who are citizens of Canada. They signed on the documents that they would go back to their country after studies, but NO, they want PR. That was their intention in the first place. They are inconsiderate of others. They have no respect for others. It's just them. How can we say they are the future generation of this country, who also cheat the system. There are also some Indians, Muslims who have recently, I would say 10-12 years moved to Canada, do the same as above, including loud music in their cars, noisy cars, litter and spit, also spit red liquid on the grounds, etc., it is annoying. They come here thinking they can do whatever they want to do it's their freedom in a free country. We also see that there are scammers from Call Centres in India who have scammed so many innocent Canadians, including some Seniors. Then don't blame Canadians who have been here for long, who speak up about this issue. Thanks.

If u hve decent life in india and has habbit of maid and house helpers so think twice before moving to another country. And oh yes.if u never compromise on medical and doctors service so its v practical don't go there.u hve to be mentally prepared u hve to do lots of adjustment.

Don’t worry madam. We don’t live in a single country world now days. The ur careers and life needs keep moving people now days more often that in the past. So, you are not alone.

After 8 years I can’t bear anymore it’s getting harder and harder I‘m middle-aged Man, single , highly skilled in field networking Engineer , I consider myself hardworking, results oriented, practical but the accomplishment here moving sooooo slow let me explain: it took me 1 year to get the driving license although I have driving experience for 16 years ! It took me 2 years to eventually find an apartment although my income consider to be above average! More than 18 months for the language! More than 2 years for wife reunion! , …. Etc the bureaucracy is the biggest enemy of this country without finding a real solution it will be worse! Plus other challenges like language, wealth, social life, but for me was the bureaucracy the hardest!!

I think that what you are describing is the case in most western traditionally European countries. I also think that is on purpose. I live in the US and have my entire life, I'm in my 50's (let's just leave that there!). the same can be said for many places in this country. I've lived in newengland my whole life. it used to be considered the benchmark when I was growing up in the 70's and 80's , as far as cost of living , cost to buy a home , wages and job opportunities , quality of life, safety. its not the case now. I did recently move to extreme northern new England this year as southern New England where I grew up and my family is , too crowed, too expensive etc. I am within 1-5 miles of Canadian border where I am now, but still in US! I do have a current passport, just renewed it and plan to visit NB and Quebec City and hopefully PEI . I do live in a very rural area with low population currently. farming and timber are main industries here. not a lot going on, but at my age I really enjoy it. reminds me of how things used to be when I was growing up 40 years ago! people and even young people are polite and decent here, no traffic. its a bubble, but we are 500 miles from the chaos to the south. I am a business man who left Canada 7 months ago, moved my business to a country that respects and values entrepreneurs and taxes are very low. I am just sad for Canada and Canadians that they have a government that doesn't care about them.

Can't speak to the situation regarding immigrants. However, NO Canadian that I know wants to emigrate.\n\nHigh taxes.....all relative. Social programs are a safety net and save from having to pay out of pocket (security and peace of mind are worth their weight in gold).\n\nThe problem with your FB posts was caused by FB itself. It is so greedy that it doesn't want to share any of the revenue it generates by siphoning news from other sources. It is simply a leach, a parasite.\n\nDrugs and homelessness.......true. Since COVID-19 there has has been an epidemic. However, it is not limited to Canads; other countries are experiencing the same phenomena.\n\nCost of housing.......also not limited to Canada.\n\nImmigrants.....it is extremely difficult to uproot from one's native country and quickly integrate into another, no matter the country. It generally takes years to acclimatize. And often, you've left your heart behind.\n\nSalaries....been to Singapore. Salaries may be higher but the cost of everything is also much, much higher.\n\nAnd moving to the USA......guns, health care, social safety nets, politics?\n\nNo matter where you live, it has its challenges. So I'm pretty content.living in Canada. Of couse we need to continually focus on the.lot of ALL Canadians.

Currently we are paying to the gov't upwards of 50% of our earnings in a gamut of taxes and excises. That hard earned money is spent with zero transparency on activities that, many of them, are directed against the people. However, finding another country to move to, with better leadership, where to work and live, now and in the near future is a real challenge

I'm hoping that you are planning on moving to a Country in Europe? My parents were Latvian WWII War Refugees and I've been hearing that IF they were, you can easily get a Passport to live anywhere in the European Union?\n\nAn American YTuber who now lives in Portugal, said this in one of his Videos. The process is taking much longer for him, as his parents were not WWII War Refugees.

As bad as it is i think it’s best to tough it out and things will improve, many euro countries may seem better but they too could be come gentrified with time and im sure those places sucked at one time which is why Europeans moved to Canada for the last a hundred years. \n\nIK Canada looks bleak but much of the world sucks and things will improve, haven’t seen the video yet but as far as IK, moving to a warm third world country is never the solution because locals will experience price inflation and all the things we complain about and the problems just won’t stop.

Alina you will get the visa and you will probably love it ! Don't let the free of the unknown get to you . I am 39 years from USA moved to Ecuador in 2020 during the pandemic alone . I have enjoyed my life and experiences here . Even though I have permanent residency, next year I plan to move back to the US because I am ready for a change snd reset . Remember whether you enjoy your new country for one year or many years to come . You will never regret your decision !
