Harper raised the immigration level from 250,000 a year to 400,000 a year. Trudeau decided that there was no limit. It is 100% his fault. There is a finite amount of people we can take in per year and pay for as new immigrants need financial support to get on there feet in a new country. The tax base cannot build infrastructure (Doctors, nurses, roads sewer systems....) fast enough for an unlimited amount of new people per year.

I have a lot of friends that are actual immigrants that do things the right way, and actually have respect for our country. Genuinely feels so bad for them right now being targeted because of these scamming assholes are making good people that actually immigrated here legitimately and/or were born and raised here look bad. The immigration file has been completely botched and mishandled by an inept and very stupid government. Mass immigration without a plan for increased housing, medical staff, infrastructure help, or even increased staff at immigration centres, etc. is madness, and chaos has ensued. I studied in India for several years, and was careful to respect Indian culture vis a vis dress codes, learning Hindi, and behaviour. It is only normal courtesy to do so. It becomes more difficult when numbers increase drastically over a v. short period of time since people coming here are not widely exposed to Canadian culture. This completely inept and corrupt government needs to go: like yesterday. I think of myself as anti-racist, but when I go for a medical test and see that 95% of patients appear to be of middle-eastern origin, while I haven't been able to find a family doctor for 10 years, I do get a little irritated. And I'm a boomer; younger people in Canada are competing for education, jobs, housing, as well as medical care, so I can understand people becoming angry. I think that currently this backlash is against the government, not immigrants, and not one community in particular. I am cynical enough to think that this government went for mass immigration because they have no economic plan for prosperity, and bringing in several millions would raise GDP. But percapita GNP has been falling for 8 quarters, so we are definitely in a recession. I think Trudeau did this so his economic incompetence would not be obvious. Anyway, that's my appeal: we should be upset at a government that caused this chaos, not at individual immigrants nor a specific community.

If people from Mexico stop coming to work for Canadian farmers during harvest time, no one will want to work for such low wages as they do. It’s sad how many foreign workers are taking all the restaurant, security, engineering and gas station/convenience store jobs. It’s annoying to be at Wendy’s, BK, McDonalds, A&W or a gas bar/convenience store and see a group of friends/foreign workers working behind the desk, then all of a sudden change their work jacket from (for example) Wendy’s to a Skip the Dish sweater and deliver the food they just made. That tells me the system is failing or people are getting paid cash under the table. It’s time for these big companies and the government to step in and stop this. There is multiple examples in my smaller city in a daily basis so I can just imagine how often this happens in bigger cities. Mean while local Canadian born and raised people and their kids can’t get jobs. Stop subsidizing these foreign workers at the very least or donor to all of us. As a born and raised Canadian I do feel embarrassed and frustrated when I see people from my race acting like fucking idiots because I know it’s going to lead to people viewing and potentially treating me worse, perhaps even just subconsciously. Our family Legacy is in the history books of saving Canada from being a part of the United States during that war. That is on my mother's side of the family. On my father's side of the family I am native Ojibwe Indian. So my bloodline is purely Canadian. In Vancouver, the home prices are skyrocketing, the personal taxes are almost half the income, the people are too busy to work to mingle. I don't like the thought that people can do supported drug use freely. It's beyond me to understand that. Why would a governemnt provide drugs for addicts in the guise of harm reduction? I was in Hastings 3 weeks ago and I saw the crackheads just blatantly doing drugs in the streets. A lot of used up needles are on the ground. There is a market of stolen stuff. It is quite scary to walk around. My son don't like it here even when he is born here. The kids are becoming cynical and angry for no reason. A lot just bully for fun. Prostitution is legal and rampant, you would think the young pretty girls are innocent but a lot are actually sugar babies. I'm in the medical field but I don't support euthanasia. I'm quite open-minded but not to the point of loosing my morals just because Canada is allowing it. It is also getting saturated with races with various beliefs. While I don't mind them, I worry that the tensions & clashes may become too close for comfort. In short, I think the country is becoming too expensive & liberated to raise a young imppresionable child in. Yes, we are also leaving Canada for an affordable, safer, more fun & happy place. Im Canadian. Born and raised in Canada. I dont know anyone personally that goes not want Indians here in Canada. There might be some racist people in Canada but I dont think there are many. I do find Indians ive met have been kind but I do find they dont look happy. Maybe they didnt find the job they were thinking they would ne doing. We are very used to different cultures in our communities. Yes there is a housing crissis in Canada. Its hard to find doctors and you have to settle for a walk in clinic.

When Covid hit, Canada raised the limit on tfw from 10% to 30%, they also got rid of a rule that prohibits tfw hires when the local unemployment rate is over 6%. The unemployment rate is to high! Fast food and retail have raised their prices while paying less wages. Kids cant get jobs. Im a psw in home care and i lost hours to TFW because of the wage differences. Now I cant pay my bills because of TFW. The companies are pushing Canadians out and keeping wages low. I was never racist or taught to see people of other ethnicities or religions as inferior so I don't hate Indians, nor do I show them disrespect unless warranted but the rampant abuse of our systems has messed up so many things. I know of large families of Indians who came as asylum seekers who'd come over separately while claiming different names so when they all come together some families are getting $30k or more per month just for being here. They drive expensive new luxury vehicles and mostly wear expensive designer clothes and are given homes while at the same time us Canadians born and raised here are struggling to even get to eat well every day or have a home to begin with. It's not entirely the fault of Indians, the blame also needs to be shared by our gov't as well since they opened the borders and have mostly waived the process of vetting who comes into our country. It's never a bad thing to have people who genuinely add to the collective greatness of a country but we have let in too many freeloaders and even criminals, the Indian gangs extorting businesses for millions in BC and Alberta for example. Nothing wrong with Indian immigrants as long as we can balance the needs and safety of everyone involved as well. Right now there is no balance and the results are catastrophic. Canada never used to be host to so much divide and hatred as it is now, we can thank Trudeau and his people for that.

1000% AGREED WITH THE CUTS. OUR youths are being denied jobs because of these foreign workers. they pay a fee to come and work for less professing to have a degree which is fake or purchased.Needs to look into LMIA as well.Let us hope our youths who were born and raised here get opportunities to eat and live comfortably.

I was born and raised in Calcutta as we navigated daily through filth and dirt on the streets - not only because of the poor on the street - but bec of everyone else who walks around and thinks nothing of throwing their garbage on the streets, spitting and blowing their noses on the streets and even in buildings - stairway landings, or peeing in the open - in public spaces or against building walls, etc..
