I have not heard of any hate crimes against Muslims, in the area where I live. Wear what you want or not. Just live in peace in respect for others. There are many things that I am also disgusted with and you mentioned them. Sad isn't it? Good luck and find a nice muslim country to live in.

I have to ask are you giving up your Canadian citizenship? And I have to tell you I bet you are going to keep it. And although I agree with some things eg: the extreme stance and slide into extreme liberalism, your move is one extreme to the other, and despite the cancel culture here it still stands for real freedom when compared to the middle east. So please do us a favor and if war breaks out where you are going to, please do not ask the Canadian people and government (like so many islamic homesick have in the past) to rescue you at the monetary expense and potential risk to our Canadian men and womens lives- that would be so insulting not to mention hypocritical and Canadians take note of such things and they don't forget. Reasons I left Canada:\n1. no jobs...\n2. you find a job... low pay...\n3. you get pay... high taxes...\n4. you need to get to yer job... no public transportation...\n5. you need to eat... high food prices.... plus the selection is bad... not many fruits/veggies...\n6. you need a place to live.... rents are high, home prices are high... \n7. the weather sucks, personal freedoms are few, no innovation, no entrepreneurialism... \nHmmmm let me list the things I like about Canada:\n1. For people commenting about house helps and maids being available in India, is it a healthy thing? The reason even middle class in india boasts about maids is the overpopulation of unskilled people and no minimum wages act that prevents exploitation of those house maids. Let government fix a minimum wage of 25000 for a full time maid and then see how many of us are able to afford them?

Before moving please make sure what you would be doing in a new country for living? Will you be able to manage until you pickup your earnings. You have kids!! will you be able to pay for their educations, house rents, medicine if necessary etc. so on and so forth..\n\nBut one thing i wanted to check many Indians are moving to Canada for a better life, i''m little surprised to see you moving out of Canada, why don't you guys try jobs in IT companies? They pay well and it should solve your major problems, the winter thing you can control by using heaters and Government thing i think it would change after sometime.. It's a sacrifice for the first gen but your kids will have infinite opportunities growing up in a western country compared to india. In India outside IT and a few select fields it's impossible to get a well paying job. In western countries there are much more optionsk, even plumbers, electricians, etc make good money there. They have so many disciplines in undergrad which we haven't even heard of, and much more flexibility of switching careers, longer shelf life of getting degrees etc. \nPlus, your child gets to experience so many things like every child there learns swimming, hiking, skiing, seeing beautiful museums, etc.

Which country that gives you residency upon arrival? It seems that only the Western world who do these things. Many people who live in the Western world are not happy with the direction of their societies. Best of luck and keep us informed.

I appreciate the way you present the reality. One way to cope with salaries and taxes is to open you own enterprise. This is the canadian way of growing fron a wealth point of view. As a person leaving from a salary, it is still possible to grow depending on your skills. But beggining your own business to exploit your skills will make you 'fly' to the next level, which is the actual way of growing. It took me a lot of years to realice this. Just think about it, provinces allow medecins to incorporate what means that they will pay less taxes and become richer sooner. This is just my thought, other people may think in a different way, I just try to give positive ideas.\n\nSecondly, Canada is still a country to live in a bit better than other countries considering many things happening around the world. Crime and economics is worst everywhere also. But, it all depends on what criteria counts for you. About society, it's not easy to make real friends except other inmigrants that need it too. Too cold, too expensive, taxes are astronomical, no culture, no freedom, no jobs, no opportunities, only modern slavery, worst healthcare system, unbearable political correctness, crime infested/drug infested, xenophobic people, too depressing. I agree with many points you have made in this video but, I want to point out one thing about Canadians (and most western cultures)- they have an egalitarian view of society and are much less selfish as compared to Indians. Take that instance you mentioned about that Canadian woman who was waiting with her child in the emergency ward - unlike Indians she knew that there was another person whose situation was more dire than that of her child so she willingly waited for her child's turn to be looked at by the emergency doctor. But, in the case of Indians they will not have the grace to wait quietly for their turn.

I used to live in toronto and i actually liked it there, people are ok not as friendly but ok, the lifestyle was good with so many different things available to do, u never get bored there, good nightlife, good sceneries, good malls, good parties, hot looking girls everywhere, the food is amazing with so many options to choose from all around the world, all good...... but the big problem was that life was so damn expensive, i had 2 jobs and was barely making enough money to survive, that's why i left.

Yeah job security is an important factor I think those of us who are in IT and have been 'sacked' as someone here in another comment mentioned feel the brunt when you know that Canadian companies are looking elsewhere for cheaper labor. I think it's after something like this happens when you really think about things such as Unions and the seemingly open door to qualified immigrants who would take a lower paid job just to get a foot in the door. Hey, it happened to me many years ago so why would it be different. Interesting times indeed.

I have lived in many different countries as a Muslim. I have found the perfect balance of Islam, freedom in my day to day life to do things, finding halal, masjids 10-15mins within where I live with programs for my kids and social/educational events. I homeschool my kids and the laws for it are very easy. I absolutely abhor the government though and your no. 1 reason would be mine to leave. However as I explore other options I don’t see options for Muslim country that is easy to naturalize into. \n\nI have joined groups to make future changes through congress and government and trying to learn how I can help with these efforts. I try to imagine what would happen if all the Muslims left these colonizing countries. Boy do they need us yet make us feel like we are powerless. When I moved from Canada, back in 2002, I couldn't believe how Canada was talked about. People spoke as if Canada was some dreamy, perfect world. It didn't resemble the truth in any way, even then. I visit Canada regularly since the late 90th. I saw a steady decline in the last years. Get rid of Trudeau and his bad politics. The sad thing is that this happens to many western countries. Currently I live in Germany. The loss of wealth and confidence due to damage done to the economy by the current government is mind blowing. People are angry. Visiting the Netherlands, Britain, France - everywhere I go in the west it’s the same. People are fed up of leftwing ideology, identity politics and high taxes.\nThe west needs to wake up. \nPeople are leaving for other places.\n\nIf one is good in his job, one can live a good life in many places. I’m sorry you chose to move to this dump. When Canadians are leaving Canada, you _know_ things are bad and you should avoid coming here. Think about how many people want to leave, but can’t.

Respecting people's rights to choose what they believe and practice - but saddened that so many people\nfollow religions and do not truly research the symbolism, the history, the connections - no one should \nbe attacked for wearing a head covering etc - at the same time Muslims, like many other religious\ngroups just follow what the leaders say - and - if they truly researched they would find out that \nfollowing men and clerics is not wise and not even what our Creator wants for us.\n\nI was raised in a large world wide accessible religion - then, when I saw and heard things that\ndid not add up - I prayed for truth and then pro-actively researched - I compared the teachings\nof that religion from materials with in and from out with - and drew my conclusions - I also\nbeleive that I was led to find some very useful information not of myself - I learned enough\nto make an informed decision to leave that religion. My journey after that has not been an\neasy one as there is a lot of conflicting information and factions in this world - but over time\nmy original decision has been re-enforced by facts - I also came across the origins of Islam\nand who controls it - and that would be a surprise to many - and likewise would surprise\nother people in other religions ( including the popular New Age / Eastern Mystic religions)\nare all run by the same group world wide - and The New Age / Eastern Mysticism have\nbeen marketed as some kind of non religious freedom - but are, in fact religions with\ndogmas and leaders.\n\nThe Truth has set me free - I continue to study and to have faith alone in our Creator alone\nand I try to continue to learn what I can about the world and about spiritual things - to aid\nmy understanding and discernment. The cost of living is affecting all OECD nations to various degree so I am interested to know where people are moving from Canada. So many of the things you mentioned are also true about my experiences in Australia as an immigrant except the weather ofcourse. Haha!

Not sure why I got this in my recommendations but I gave it a watch. I would agree with most reasons for your wanting to leave, even as a non-muslim. But what bothers me is how many Muslims are discontented with the social values and economics this federal government has been promoting and implementing - but they helped elect that govt. They threw their support behind the current federal govt because they seemed Muslim-friendly, while at the same time that same government promoted things that contradicted Islamic social values. Also , its my opinion, that govt is responsible for the runaway cost-of-living via inflation because of their horrible fiscal policies.

Please don't come to Sweden. Sweden opened up to many people from the Middle East, but the only thing they have done is to drag down Swedish society.

It's a disgrace how Canada has been governed the last 8 years. Government debt is through the roof and that burden has been passed directly to the once so called middle class now the working poor. I am leaving Canada as I can only see life and standard of living dropping considerably. If they stop the idiot policies now, it will take a generation to recover, but i hardly see that happening. The climate activists, gender activists and health fear mongering is controlling policy and brainwashing children. Canadians will accpet things. They will suffer and just accept what leadership is lying about. it is sad. once a great country and a beacon of hope for many around the world, that has been corrupted.

I am indonesian, but i’ve lived in Japan and the US for study purpose, and i relate to your experience. Eventhough i had a strong moslem community when i was in Japan/US, and halal food was accessible there, i was still feeling uncomfortable that as a moslem i couldn’t express my identity freely. Whenever i wanted to go for a roadtrip or place outside of my city, i need to search if halal food was available in there or not, while in Indonesia i don’t have to worry about halal food, almost all food are halal, the restaurant usually inform us if their are not halal. Another experience is that in non-moslem country, they didn’t provide many prayer rooms or mosques, that’s also sickening for me. I mean i don’t mind to pray in a random parking lot, or in a park, or in an emergency stairs, or in changing room in mall, or any random places; but i really missed my country where prayer room is available anywhere, you can find prayer room in gas station, in a restaurant, in the mall, in airport/bus station/train station, etc. Also mosques are everywhere too. You are easily going to find mosque after walking around 200m, well yeah there is a reason why Indonesia is a country with the most number of mosques in the world. Another thing is islamic class. When i was in Japan, i could only join an islamic class where people gather to listen from syeikh (or we call it as “pengajian”) once in every other months, in the US was better, mosque in mu place held islamic class every other day. However, in Indonesia, islamic classes are everywhere, it’s like every mosque held their own class, until to the point that i am confused what should i follow because there are so many options ?. The last is that, in moslem country or at least in my country, finding moslems outfit is very easy. So yeah, overall, i prefer to live in moslem countries. Alhamdulillah i was born in moslem country, and alhamdulillah my country’s situasion, eventho not perfect, is peacefull.

I'm not Muslim, and I completely understand your views and fears. I think you are making the best decision for your family. There are many things in this country and other countries that need to be addressed. Hopefully, in our children's future, all countries will be able to address issues that are unacceptable for different races, religions, and prejudices.

Those that have lived here for 40-50 years, know that many of these have been worst in the past and have gotten better. We continue the cycle as focus changes. Even the cold winters aren't nearly as bad as they used to be. Mortgage rate 1981 = 21.75%, coldest year in Toronto = 1976, unemployment = 1983,1992, 2020, Housing cost peak = 1990, Wait for non-emergency specialist is crazy long extending into years, but critical issues are addressed immediately. politics is always the same, there is no good government, but other countries have the same issues. We are still as free as ever.

I am here 10 years. One thing that was really shocking to me was how many people were sheeple right when the pandemic happened. LOVE to listen to what they are told to do! People refused to socialize and try to reach out. Young people. Well guess what? That was the beginning of bad news. I also have been surprised at the amount of people who assume all Americans are like Trump and have messed up attitudes towards Americans. I am looking forward to a better Canada. i have never been to Canada but i do have plenty of friends who are tried of living in Canada. I live in Malaysia and I do love in here and things are very easy going. The best part is the accessibility to halal food everywhere you go you can easily find Halal food and people in general are very friendly and also helpful too. I have been living in Malaysia for the past 20yrs and I enjoy in here. I was born and brought up in the UAE but I love Malaysia as my home. The cost of living in here is on the raise but it is not so bad as in many other countries so far. The Malaysian government is doing the best possible to keep a control of the inflation. We hope and pray to see 2024 as a better year to come

As someone who moved Canada 3.5 years ago, I agree with all the reasons mentioned. There are many things government could have done better to fight against the inflation, housing crisis, high cost of living and rise in crime and homelessness. I don't even want to mention about the taxes. Like I am almost giving half of my salary to the government yet they are still taking %13 more on what we spend on, yet I've never seen a single place where that money was used to address any of these problems. One of the reasons I moved to Canada was to have a better life style, more buying power and better future for my future kids. But at this point I feel like I am living in a zombie land. High skilled workers will have some other opportunities elsewhere but refugees and low skilled workers will be stuck in Canada and it will get only worse with the current policies.

I live in NYC, and have been to Canada at least four times, but the last time I was there was quite some time ago. I always had a good thought about Canada, because it seems like some of the problems we have in this city, Canada also has in some way. Right now the city is a complete mess; at post pandemic and with a bit of a recession and a noticeable increase in groceries to basic things like cat food and tissues. That's not the biggest problem, it really is the legislation or lack of for people who not care for themselves. Those homeless people are almost not helpable and I don't feel threatened by them, but other people definitely do. The way the government has handled these undocumented migrants is a complete disaster and couldn't have come at a worse time. We have a serious housing crisis as well, and people can end up paying for high rent, for not the best places, but they want to live in a certain location. The migrants are coming in at about 60k in the last two weeks. You see mothers with little kids or babies selling candy all over the trains and it's becoming too much. Many see it as a form of child abuse or exploitation and we do not respect it at all. I think they feel we are weak and will just pay double for something we don't need. At one station today I must have be approached 3 times and interrupted 2 times while using my phone. It's just too much and we already have a lot of immigrants here, so I'm not sure where these people believe they will find any meaningful employment and the cold is coming. I wasn't born here, but came legally as an infant. I think the border situation is a disaster and it's obvious to a lot of people that the government lets things happen that will definitely effect citizens in the next couple of decades. The city is crowded enough and I do not know where this is all going, people do not want undocumented migrants house a few hundred feet from a childrens school. I just don't understand how they let this happen....I guess this is how Biden does things and all the groups that cheered buses pulling in when it first started are dwindling down....they just want them passed on to someone elses responsibility, but wouldn't want them as neighborhors necessarily. It's a lot of hypocrisy here. Canada seems better in some places, and the same in others.

Can’t help but see and feel the similarities between Muslim’s and Christian’s (conservatives). We are constantly vilified as well for following the Bible and not wanting our children to be around or taught perversions. Here in Michigan we have a pretty significant Muslim population and it was truly gratifying to see them coming together with the Christian’s to fight back against the indoctrination happening in our schools. Our media loves to call Christian’s all the “igot” and “acist” “obic” words, but they hold their tongues a lot better when Muslim’s are involved for fear of being seen as another type of “ascist”. lol I wish all of us (Christian, Muslim, Jewish) who follow a moral code as shown to us in our various Holy books could come together on this. There would be so many of us combined, billions! With all of us together can you just imagine how fast we could turn this deterioration of humanity around? I think we all agree that the kids should be off limits!!! If we could just all come together on that one thing, the world would change!

As a native Canadian I totally understand your stand on winter and inflation. As a native Canadian I think we don't inform immigrants and outsiders that winter climate does to alot of people. There is a seasonal affective disorder (very prevelent) in my father's family and even my mother unfailing optimism get's like you fatigue at the very least. Kids love winter but yes as a adult or even a teen many people retreat and feel isolated. As for inflation, I do hope you find a country where the gouvernement(s) aren't denying the insanity that is going on. To be honest, after centuries of being a Quebec native, I have fantasized very heavily about moving myself because even with a good salary things each year since Covid-19 have become just terribly expensive and it affect primarily basic shelter and food needs. It's absurd! Good luck on your way settling where ever you will!

Just a note, if the countries that you are considering, you have only visited as a tourist, a longer stay (maybe 6 months or so) may give you a better idea on what it actually is like.\n\nI am from (or rather, my family is, and I still have a majority of my family in) one of the countries you mentioned, and while every single thing you mention about it is true, many of the reasons you are choosing to leave Canada for is also applicable, though it may not be apparent to a visitor.\n\nPulling out and setting new roots are never easy, even if it may be the right choice. Subhanallah. I feel lucky to have been born in Indonesia. Even though there are so many people who live as Islam ID, not practicing Islam as a Muslim should do things like pray and so on. But we have an Islamic environment here, with many mosques (except in Bali, where the majority of the people are Hindus).\nIt's cheap to live here, but not with the education. Even international Islamic boarding schools are so expensive here. If you can get a good job in Jakarta with a good company, you better stay here. \nI'm not sure it's cheap or not, but you can pay min 250 to 430 dollar per month for nanny or helper to clean the house. \nAnd for the weather, we only have two. Summer and rain. Sometimes it rains in the summer. And sometimes it's very hot during the rainy season. Hahahaha. Best wishes for your family.\nOr in Malaysia, they also have a good environment for Muslim children. I have some friends in Malaysia. Food is also cheap and similar to the Middle East. I would expect you to move back eventually, many of the things you have listed are worse in other places of the world, and I suspect that you take many things for granted such as peace, stability, healthcare, etc. \nI would still encourage you to go ahead as it could be worth the experience and lessons learned. I am originally from Pakistan, lived in usa for 2 decades. but when i decided to get married i could find a lady to marry with same values i got. so i decided to move to pakistan. pakistan is very laid back but it got many many challenges. everyday you have to struggle to maintain basic necessities . i think you should give you decision a second thought. there many great people in canada who need you there. in canada you can serve islam better by educating people and try make a difference. it takes time to accomplish things.

The sad thing is not all Muslim majority/Arab (though Palestine is not religious issue and pertains only to Muslims) countries openly stand with Palestine. Many of them are quiet for their own gain (Political or otherwise) And staying quiet is sometimes just as bad.

It makes perfect sense to want to get away from the things you've mentioned. The world is not the same as it was even 10 years ago. That's the last time I visited home. (Abbotsford, BC) I've lived in the States for many years now and boy was I shocked how things have changed here in Canada. I realize you and your family don't use Bible, but just to give you a biblical perspective on things that very well may parallel scripture from the Quran, at 2 Timothy 3:1-5 it says... 1 But know this, that in the last days critical times hard to deal with will be here. 2 For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, haughty, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, disloyal, 3 having no natural affection, not open to any agreement, slanderers, without self-control, fierce, without love of goodness, 4 betrayers, headstrong, puffed up with pride, lovers of pleasures rather than lovers of God, 5 having an appearance of godliness but proving false to its power; and from these turn away. \nYou may be able to get away from the moral decline of where you live now, but honestly, these things are going to be world wide eventually if they aren't already. But there will be a time when God (for me his name is Jehovah), will step in and fix things. In the meantime, It's awesome you are putting your family first. It's sad that that is not the norm anymore.

I was in Turkey for 3 months and loved it! Istanbul was magical, and i loved how so many Muslims from across the Muslim world lived there. There were Libyan's, Syrian's, Bosnians, Afghans, Africans - very diverse! I stopped to pray in Ottoman era mosques for every salah and met wonderful Turkish brothers who invited me for soup, tea/coffee. Their hospitatlity is well known! The city never sleeps and every shop is open with families out and about, islamic shops selling Islamic clothing, halal food is nothing to think about again. The other good thing was that there was always something to do. Fajr at Aya Sofya, Juma at Sultan Ahmed mosque, a taxi to Eyub Sultan, then to a religious neighbourhood of Fatih, amazing architecture, great food, affordable and safe. The only negatives were traffic and pollution, but given Istanbul's population, that was understandable. It was also summer and peak season. Also, you can literally cross into Europe and then Asia by ferry. Its to die for. Other parts of Turkey are also great to visit. The blacksea cost is stunning as an example in point and more natural mountainous beauty over city living. Turkey is a great option if you haven't already thought of it and if youre a fan of Erdogan, its a good place to visit and invest in
