So, why is it that this guy makes it seem like they haven't been taken advantage of the U.S. since they have been able to! He is also lying about that northern border, too. Russians have been illegally crossing into the U.S. thru Canada for years. I know it as fact bcuz I've met Russian truckers who told me how they originally came to the U.S. via Canada! It's easier up there bcuz that border isn't as secure as the southern border. I guarantee you their statistics for fentynal crossing in via Canada is wrong. Those are just the statistics for the fentynal they caught, not the shit they haven't caught! Tariffs shouldn't have had to be the reason for Canada to do their job. They should have already been doing their job at that border. Trump had to threaten them in order for them to use drones, etc. at the border. They should have been doing that. This shows that they were already taking advantage of the weak ass government who just left office. Maybe he should just become the 51st state to make it all much simpler!

Presumably the whole point of tariffs on Canada is to raise revenues to cover the tax cuts for the oligarchs that he hopes will keep his or his family permanently in power. From that point of view it makes sense to put the tariffs on the biggest trade partners. The tax breaks the oligarchs get will allow them to buy up and control the media on his behalf. Nothing to do with fentanyl. That's just a lie that US citizens are stupid enough to swallow.

Trump succeeded in getting Canada and Mexico to protect the US border, something the US couldn't do for decades. Claiming that drugs were flooding into the US from Canada is another Trump lie that the media promotes constantly. Trump is a dangerous fool, thinking he will buddy up with Russia and come out ahead. Sounds like Canada had a true plan to work on border crossings and drug problem, while Trump wants to just attack and make up lies about criminals and numbers.

Trudeau should have been proactive in the first place. Canada had put tarriff on other countries in the first place. They even did not sell our oil in the first place when saying no business case.
