Trump is helping solve CANADIAN problems and BEFORE he even takes power, officially. That is incredible. \n\n\nNow we just have to pray that he doesn’t actually increase those tariffs, and it is very likely that he will. Trump has been very consistent over the years about wanting higher tariffs with all of his trading partners. Getting control over our borders and preventing terrorists from entering the country will help reduce them but not all the way I don’t think. \n\nWe’ll see if that prediction is correct.

Many years ago (I am 82) my husband was a post doc at Princeton. In case we wanted to stay in the USA a few years we became immigrants. While many people were pleasant and interesting , we hated the general culture there. The racism, medical expenses, the lack of public parks, public transportation , etc. we found very unpleasant. I became pregnant. My doctor who was kindly however had to suddenly flee the state as his wife was having him arrested ! He gave me info about places my child could be born on our trip home if necessary at our last meeting for I decided that my child would definitely be a Canadian! So, we packed up and left the month before my son was born. LOL.My recent ancestors are French Canadian, British, Scot , and I am descended from a Loyalist Niagara area family - but am also descended from every founding ethnic leader in the USA! Even several on the Mayflower! So, most Americans are my cousins! I think they have gone astray!

My wife is a doctor by profession (neurologist) - they tried to persuade her to move from Germany and Norway to work and live in Germany and Norway, but we stayed here in Latvia and after several years we have realized that it was the right choice where to live and build a life for ourselves and children. :) In Germany you have to speak German and that's how it should be.

If i look as a german guy , you can rent a house in calgary for 1200 € brand new , if you look here in germany you rent a appartment with 4 room's you pay 1300-1400 € (2338 CAD) without extra costs. I pay 3607 CAD only for energy for 4700 kWh for a year.

If you are making 150k a year doing 8hr a day work that doesn’t kill you and want to enjoy middle class uncomplicated life I am not sure there is a better country then Canada. \nI made only 35 k once in over 43 years of working and it was my choice and because of obscene cost of living on the west coast of Canada I left 3 years ago .\nI am 100% happier even if I have to live in countries that are politically unstable

Our youth are very unhappy and do not see a future for themselves yet have to work very hard and pay unbelievable high taxes. The minimum wages are only 15 bucks an hour which cannot sustain life here in this country. Please stop making false promises to foreigners to come here and be disappointed. Everything has pesticides, hormones, and by the time fruit and vegies arrive here from the US all the nutrition have gone. A extremely high cancer rate, young and old, diabetes, depression and other mental disorders are rampant. Our children and grandchildren do not have a future so why bother going to school or work. Our kids live on the streets, shelters, camping in the woods and using fentanyl and meth all kinds of dangerous drugs. The cities and small towns are full of used needles, pipes, and more paraphelia just thrown on the trails everywhere. The US will not assist Canada when a possible War 3 will occur, and we the people of Canada and the land are easy prey. If you do not believe me, just come visit RED Deer shelters and walk around on the trails, go to Vancouver but becareful because random assaults are happening every day, people living in tents, using the streets as toilets, drugs galore, even the police is unable to act nor arrest criminal activities caused by desperate people who need to survive. Canada's economy is about to collapse and fall into a recession. We have too many people coming in our country without checking their back ground and many criminals and terrorist groups are entering declaring refugee status whether it is true or not, we do not know. The people of Canada who work and pay highest taxes are used to house these newcomers and education, jobs, food and money. Our government take better care of these illegal people than their own people especially our youth. So please let us not pretend Canada is a land of opportunity and great. I’m an American citizen who was born in the United States (Hawaii). Everyone has the right to support or not support President Trump’s plans for mass deportation. The interviewer asked this Mexican American woman her opinion and she’s entitled to her opinion. There are a lot of Hispanic people who agree with Trump. I don’t think she’s turning her back on her family by saying “it’s okay” if they get deported. I think she’s respecting and supporting the rules of Immigration laws to have legal documentation to live in the United States. Rather than disrespecting and ignoring Immigration laws the way her family did. I think in a way she’s saying “it’s okay” her family gets deported because they deserve to be penalized for breaking Immigration laws for entering and staying in America for 20 or 30 years illegally which is valid and understandable. It comes down to the phrase “You commit the crime you do the time” whether it’s family or not. I believe she has a leg to stand on because she followed Immigration laws, received her Green Card and is living in the United States legally. If a family member of mine committed a crime and were put in jail or deported back to their country I would say “it’s okay” too. You reap what you sow.

Albertan here. 53 and up till now I'm relatively healthy and have had no need for extra health insurance. Until recently, then boom, I now have ms. The onset of it was sudden and was kind of similar to a stroke, but was found out that it's multiple sclerosis. Our Provincial health care covered the hospital stay and any meds received while in Hospital. Out of hospital, we have to pay for our prescription meds. Which, I now have to be treated with a drug that is Infused through IVand it's not covered. $26000.00 per year, so I promptly applied for Blue Cross(like a health insurance)which will help.

The Canadian's do NOT want these immigrants in Canada come at all, they want almost all of them coming here to be removed from the last 9 years, and it is NOT 60 percent of Canadians want them to leave, it is more like 90 percent wants the immigrants which is way too many to be kicked out!!!!!!!!!

Govt wants more people from developing nations, yet they don't want to build hosing, mass transit or any form of infrastructure, not even a protected bike lane. A couple of weeks ago 3 days before I am due for my first vacation in 8 years, I broke a tooth and tried to see a dentist, no appointments for 4 months. A week later, I am waiting to check into my hotel in Bangkok when I decided to break, and I went to the dentist had some X-rays taken, and 2 teeth pulled out took which less than an hour and cost $104.76. Do you see how the system can fail in many different ways?

The problem of Canada is not migration or international students. International students bring millions of dollars to the country. They pay fees 3 times higher than local students. The problem is the economy, provinces, municipalities, private sector and professional newcomers are unable to build houses, apartments and provide services for more than 1 million of newcomers per year. The economy is completely closed to international companies, engineers, doctors. There are big monopolies who regulate and rule the market in association with a WOKE socialist government. This is why Canada doesn’t grow and isn’t able to provide services. It’s more like a third world country , banana republic or failed state.
