Most of these international students belong to the sikh community from northern india (punjab). Not all indians are like this, mostly sikhs because they are large scale fraudsters. Being an Indian immigrant myself (now a citizen), this is absurd. There's rules to follow. There's 3 problems as I see:\n1) The structure of the Canadian economy - heavily dependent on services, natural resources and real estate. Due to this Education has become a business. Colleges, Universities & Diploma Mills are more than happy to admit international students who pay 3 times the normal fees. \n2) Lack of a screening process - not taking in immigrants based on skill and education.\n3) Taking in too many immigrants from 1 ethnicity & region - the Indian state of Punjab, a region suffering from drug epidemic, alcoholism and crime. Not sure why you'd want low quality immigrants. If you notice all the protestors here are Punjabis. Canadian immigration is business in Punjab. Many immigration consultants here in Canada are Punjabis and have business links back home.

Sheridan College management visits India to promote Sheridan College, to bring International students here desperately. I strongly recommend to cut the funding for Sheridan College. Sheridan College management, Union and Unionized Employees are all part of this. Sheridan College only cared about their own profit and greed. In fact, I believe Sheridan College's Brampton Campus should be shut down. That will save Canadian Tax Payers money. I encourage anyone to visit Sheridan College Brampton Campus. Look at what a mess it has become. Sheridan College has professors who don't know anything about the courses they're teaching. All the Unionized Employees and Management care about their pay cheques. Most programs at this campus are useless. This campus and most other colleges in Ontario are such a huge waste of Tax payers money. This campus looks like a Punjab College in India. It doesn't even look like a Canadian College.

Most of these students make up the majority that are seen on streets protesting now. \n\nOur policy target is to import 1.5 million immigrants in 2 years. Based on survey 25 % are Indians that 375,000 additional Indian nationals over 2 years. If cap is not placed, Canada will lose it diversity. We do need Quality over Quantity.

I am speaking as an Indian, who lived and worked in Thailand for 2 years, and now will be moving to Europe on a specialist skills visa. Indians as immigrants have been a productive addition to any country worldwide, compared to other nationalities. But the only exception case is in Canada. \n\nThe reality is, in Canada, the majority of immigrants are only from a specific part of India (Punjab), and most of these people are deluded, uneducated and unskilled. You are 100% right, they are not there to upskill or even contribute. I can bet these people have not even lived in big cities in India itself, they come from villages and small towns and have never seen how modern societies or even cities work.\n\nI feel sad for Canadians because most of this is their government's fault. It is the leading example of a failing society, which attracts the most obnoxious group of people from around the world.
