People need to stop trying to game our immigration system. The abuse is hurting the Canadian people and immigrants. We have mass homelessness and housing crisis, a drug epidemic and high unemployment. Our economy is in recession. There are no opporunities here anymore. The Canadian dream is ruined. This is total BS. I really understand middle east immigration or even Afghanistan or Libya because we especially USA,Britain and Canada. Don't create wars,animosity and chaos. All indian students are getting married and bringing their spouse and parents to Canada. How it's possible? Also getting pregnant so when the baby is born they can be a Canadian citizen. When they come as a student How come they get the security job in Canada? When they come as a student they have to study and go back to their country. Because they say when they apply for student visa they show that they have money. So use the money and study & go back. Canadian immigration have to stop giving them the work permit. So the Canadian's can get the work.

We don't hate Indian's, the gov is allowing too many immigrants into Canada when we don't have enough housing to support Canadian's let alone the surplus of new comers. well, if they were there for school, not sure how many completed it, or just went to work and whatever... You know I'm not far right or left, but I think if people would stop,presenting the agrument around economic and just explain and be honest that the problem is about shared cultural values. Dont cut immigration down.....tell me how did Indian intl student makes up about more than 80% out of all international students. Why didnt the government put a cap or a stop specifically just for Indian people? Why didnt the immigration look deep before giving student visa just like a snap of a finger and see if they can support themselve for school and living expense. \n\nI am an immigrant myself but when i decided to come to canada as a student. I made sure i had enough funds to sustain myself here in canada for 2 years until i can get my work permit then a head to PR. Nowdays I see a lot of international Students get access or abusing goverment facilities and benefits for which not entitle for them but Canadian residence only (PR or Canadian Citizen). I never ask for Cerb when covid happen, never ask food bank my part time job can fullfill that, paid my fare for using transportation, paid my rents and utilities on time and paid my credit cards. Lastly i never complaint focus on my study and I get good high paying jobs. I am proud to contribute to Canadian Economy as an Immigrant.\n\nThe question is are they doing the same? If you cannot sustain yourself dont add your burden to the country. We (Canadian Residence) paid heavy taxes from our sweat to cover ur burden and debt. Of late, the quality of immigrants coming in from India is very poor, the young men look and sound arrogant and loud for some reason, and don’t give a damn about locals, or about cultural assimilation. On top of that, most suck at their jobs and are very indisciplined. I think you guys have stopped sending your best - might even be sending some of your worst. While we can’t control whom you send, we can control whom we accept.

It is mostly the fault of the incompliant and corrupt Liberal government for the massive influx of unskilled India workers/students. Under previous sane governments, there were manageable caps that controlled the influx and allowed for proper immigration of vetted and skilled workers, but the Liberals stopped properly vetting people and basically opened the flood gates. For a Canadian company to hire foreign workers, they used to have to prove there were no Canadian workers to do that job, so foreign workers were mostly used in seasonal agriculture work, but due to very shady government deals with big corporations Trudeau approved paying wage subsidy and turning a blind eye to Canadian workers so Singh Hortons (and many other big businesses) could have workers for a cut rate and the government tax dollars paid up to 70% of wages and welfare. Also Foreign workers think they can stay here once their visa's expire, refusing to leave. There is simply no need for Canada to bring in over a million Indians that are in hard times in their own country. Our welfare or culture can't stand it. Not sure if you missed it or not, but India's foreign minister at the start of summer, thanked Trudeau for taking all their criminals, and low caste people. But People need to follow proper immigration policy, and not buy a ticket to Canada from a India scammer guaranteeing citizenship, which has been the case as well. Coming to Canada for an education does not, and should not guarantee permanant residency in Canada. Not our problem if anyone assumed different. We need to stop allowing the influx of low skilled immigrants. We need doctors; nurses, engineers, tradespeople, etc..we have enough uber/skip the dishes drivers, sandwich artists, and baristas. Our youth can't even find jobs because of the amount of low skilled immigrants we bring in, and the amount of temporary foreign workers we allow.

Canada has been too soft on its immigration policies. It's high time they stop these nonsensical student visas and send back these students after they finish their education. I saw Indians pooping on beaches in PEI and NB this summer and throwing garbage everywhere. Now they are protesting to stay when their visa's have expired. They complain about school and housing, but at the same time, exploit food banks and take up entire neighbors up degrading land value with their crime and trash. Then whenever you interact with them, they are rude, speak quickly and do not learn to adapt to our way of life. Instead we get more protests and violence. Indians abroad are responsible for billions in fraud and mismanagement across many sectors, and Indian government openly hamulated Canada on several occasions. On the count of immigration to Canada, more then 2/3 are coming from India and many are unvetted. Indians are not global people, they are not friendly or adaptable. Taking advantage of our hospitality and complaining when they stop getting that treatment pretending it's not their fault. Indians should go back to India and fix whats going on there. Get better schools, and have better manners. You have generations of youth who are very rude and dirty. I wish everything I said wasn't true, but with many personal experiences and others sharing, we have found the same is true about all of this many times over, in a span of 10 to 15 years. I personally used to love indians. Especially punjabis.
