As an American I fully support Trudeau and Canada. As far as I'm concerned Canada should raise tariffs against the USA for EVERYTHING starting at 100%. The USA under Trump is now Canada's enemy, just as it is the enemy of Ukraine, Europe and the entire rest of the non-fascist world.

I can't believe the people of the USA really elected him. Come on, you know Trump plays very dirty--I refuse to believe that the majority of voters are this brain dead. If our nation is this stupid then we deserve everything that is coming to us. PS: Trudeau, it's way too nice to tell Trump he's a smart guy--he's evil, not at all intelligent. Can we please stop conflating scheming, bullying and manipulation with intelligence---any dumb ass can scheme, bully and manipulate (the prisons are full with this kind of human being), but you actually have to be intelligent to collaborate, listen and manage.

I'm Canadian and I highly dislike Trudeau. But he is correct when he asks how do you negotiate with someone who wants to annex your country? I would suppose Trump supporters would have no problems with a hostile and aggressive foreign property developer targeting their homes. The world needs a strong America but you have lost your way. I’m a Canadian and no fan of Prime Minister Trudeau. It’s unfortunate the best speech he ever gave was after he resigned as Prime Minister. What he has said in this speech is absolutely true, despite the fact, I think Trump is doing some good things for the USA. This Terrif war with your neighbour is stupid. Unfortunately for us in Canada our Prime Minister has not given us the tools and freedom to grow economically and prosper the way we should have. Canadians should be living like Kings, but unfortunately are living paycheque to paycheque because of the stranglehold that our Prime Minister has put on businesses and its citizens. Now Canada has very little leverage, I believe to fight this Terrif war. Looking in from the out side I applaud Trudeau on his speech. But........ Canada needs the USA more than the USA needs Canada. Trump is who the United States elected by a majority. No games..... no fraud..... He IS THE Average large pickup driving, loud and rude American. He Is America and the rest of the world needs to take note.\n\n To be fair, in historical terms, the USA was created to be isolated and different than Europe. They went to War to become an independent country away from Europe. This whole idea that they follow Europe everywhere is only a small blip in history since WW2, they were never set up to be that.\n\n If Anything, the rest of the world should see there mistake in becoming so dependent on the USA. As an American, I am embarrassed by our leadership. Presidents like Trudeau and Zelensky are men to look up to. They may not be perfect, but they remain strong and confident in the face of the tyranny of Trump and Putin. I live an hour from the Canadian border, and they have been nothing but kind and amazing every time I've ever visited. My support is with Canada, Mexico and Ukraine. It is a dark and embarrassing time to be an American.
