Even if they do try to do it the legal way sometimes they are not granted with any type of visa or green card. The government can deny their application for many reasons. So they end up crossing the border illegally. As well it is cheaper to cross the border than to apply for a visa or some sort of legal document. Many of these “lawbreakers” you suggest to be in jail have tired to do everything the legal way but it didn’t work out. Immigrants risk their lives and their love ones to have a better life, to be able to work to be able to have things that it’s impossible to have in their country. From what I heard coming from other source .Also when I see them at food banks taking home more than $150.00 in groceries from just 1 food bank they goto 9 amonth .their cell phones are top of the line .Clothes and shoes brand name only .Gold jewllery ladys purses $300.00 and up .And they all have cars from 40 thousand and up . One place i never see them is value village .How do they do iit ?I had 2 kids and on welfare a few years back and I had a hard time trying to get some things that we badly needed and could not afford and things were a lot cheaper .The most I ever spent at no frills been on assistance was $75.00 for the whole month .6 years ago and no cell phone gold. or cars .So how these people do it ?oh and by the way I go ti no frills once a week .Those same refugees are there every thursday spending $500.00. on goceries and none of them work .Some time neighbours talk and thats how things are know .Our government is a big lier .We the tax payers are paying for all of these Once a refugee of this country one canot be sent back or deported so if this refugee never finds a job you the tax payer and I will pay for his or her assistance and maybe for a life time .like in the case of gypsies refugees they are all on assistance go to all the food banks rob the community of their belongins their cars items from stores donations in front of churches and stores they dress the best also spend hundreds of dollars on food they shop for clothes at the mall and we the tax payer brake our backs 6 days a week 10 hours a day like me and I cant afford even half of what these people can .So even if they become criminals we have to support them .Some refugee law and rights should be changed to ensure that tax payers are not been taking advantage of .

Instead of trying to skirt the system and the legal process, he may have had a better chance just doing things legally in the first place. Shopper Drug mart in TD Square-Downtown Calgary. I get racially profiled there all the time. It was busy one night while I was trying to buy something and I saw two people steal items right under the nose of the cashier. Since I get racially profiled there all the time I just watched the whole thing play out and laughed. Now I just bug the heck of the people following me: I ask them to look for stuff for me all the time. I don’t like the attention but I’ll make them work. And the people who do the racial profile are often people of colour, smdh! And the owners of most of these shoppers drug mart in Calgary are Chinese.

I managed a retail store for 25 years in a mostly Caucasian/Hispanic neighborhood the #1 Shoplifters were Blacks taking huge amounts in shopping carts. Its all on video, but the funny thing is 9out of 10 times the store security would be to scared to go after them instead the security guys go after white/ hispanic teenagers who steal energy drinks, and candy.. \nAll backgrounds shoplift, but black shoplifters go for $500 dollars of liquor ,meat, detergent every time they try to steal.

America is not all about war war war and guns just because we have a big military jeez! And not everyone here has a gun, there are some people that just don't like them for different reasons.\n If you come to a place like Texas yea just about everybody here has one I do, but there are still people even here that don't like um. You can't be an expert on another country by being there 100 something days. And I don't understand where everybody has this impression that all Americans are fat. Americans come in all shapes and sizes the same as everywhere els and other parts of the country are more health conscious than others. I have often wondered why can't we have a healthcare system like Canada's but America spends all of it's money on so many things in the world because of our position on the world stage we just can't work that out, thats what happens when you're the world super power.\n Most Americans have health insurance through their employer, a certain amount is taken out of our paycheck every month and if I get sick or have an emergency I pay a small co pay at the doctors office which is 35 dollars and emergency room co pay is 150 the insurance pays the rest.

You are trying to impose your values on it? I actually really appreciate the guy at 8:02.... He was a very honest person about it. I mean, profiling is bad, but sometimes it helps. SOMETIMES someone's clothing, body language and attitude can give you a lot of information about a person. As an artist, I notice these things a lot, and I'm not trying to be rude or prejudice, or anything, these are just things I notice as an artist, whose job it is to capture and show people's emotions and bodies.

I work in a small retail store where I play both the manager, and the shoplifter catcher, and tbh, the usual shoplifters are suburban white kids. Haha, I look for a lot of things in a shoplifter and it's always the damn white kids that check all those boxes and then, even while knowing I'm watching them, will try to take something. The thing I don't understand is that when people come to our country to live and enjoy our way of living, why can't they just follow our beliefs and not try to change them... I will never change my culture to make any immigrant feel more like home, if they don't like it then they can go back to where ever they came from... The thing is you hear things about ISIS or hamas and you try to separate it and say that it only the extremists, when in fact the moderates still support it. when speaking to a muslim friends of mine i asked her if your book says killing is wrong then why is there so much of it in islam? to my dismay she said that as long as they're killing for her religion its ok and that she supports things like the charlie hebdo shootings. She claims to support freedom of speech, but in reality, only things that are not opposed to islam. tried telling her if you ant talk about something freely then it isn't freedom of speech but she couldnt comprehend that. its disappointing to see that even though they are not the ones directly in the terrorist groups, they still support what they do.

I I am phobic of any religious extremism. Islam is currently the greatest threat, but not far be hind are some of the right wing christian groups. Take a look at Africa and the atrocities committed by Christians there, look at the USA, they are trying to enact Christianity in to law. Of course, I can not stop you from drinking, but you should not walk into a mosque with such things and try not to be loud/disruptive around mosques (or any other places of worship) after your done drinking. Sharia law also states to be kind to others now if you wanna live by sharia you implement at home.
