And Mr. Petro just imposed tariffs on U.S. products from now on as well!
2025-01-26 0
Us Americans always think were untouchable! such arrogance is dangerous, we need the world more than the world needs us, were only 4.22% of the worlds population and only 6% of the wrolds land mass, BRICS is only getting stronger and is going away from the Dollar, do your research people, what good is producing products if the rest of the world doesn't want to buy them... lets treat humans as humans not like animals lets show some respect!
2025-01-26 0
We as colombians know which product will cross the border without tariffs and its what most americans use, especially the hollywood industry ?
2025-01-26 0
Canadians are already boycotting US products. Now we can add Colombia. I'm sure this list will grow by the minute.
2025-01-26 0
lot of these food products coming into America are very toxic for example coffee the king of toxins.
2025-01-26 0
Canadian must stop buying USA product - All canadian must think everytime they want to buy anything- Wake up people check the label before buying and buy things that do not comes from US.
2025-01-26 0
Rising prices for Americans on even more products because a country doesn't want unauthorized military planes coming into their country. Trump is the worst president this country has ever seen beating only himself as the 2nd worst president in his first term. Lower case p in president international because he doesn't deserve the reverence the proper title brings.

Colombia just hit back with 25% tariffs on US goods and 50% on \nUS fruits. The US exports about 20 billion $ yearly to Colombia, mostly farm products like wheat. Some US farmers will definitely feel this.

This started Friday in Brazil ?? when the interior minister with police and media boarded a US plane refueling in a Brazilian city carrying returning Brazilian migrants. The police acted surprised when they discovered the migrants were all handcuffed and leg ironed. They were removed, fed, showered and returned home by Brazil.\nThis was big news throughout the Latin countries.\nThe Colombian President would not accept his civilians being treating as criminals. Colombia ?? sent a plane to pick up their citizens without the mechanical restraints.\nColombia has now imposed a 50% tariff on all American products and seeking other countries to partner with, in effect shutting out the US. This is gonna be so good for china’s ?? economy
2025-01-26 0
The USA can buy those products from Costa Rica.
2025-01-26 0
Wrong! It doesn’t cost Americans more when a tariff is placed. It forces the incoming product manufacturer to lower its costs so people will still buy, and if people still buy, the percentage of tariff will fund the us government vs our income taxes. If they don’t lower their costs, they risk people not buying which hurts their business and hurts the country they are in because they don’t make as much money to send taxes to their country’s government
2025-01-26 0
The way trump is playing the tariff games will make Americans either to produce everything inside their own country or buy the same product for double amount ?\n\nN.B Most Americans don’t understand how tariff works, it’s always the consumer in the end who pays the tariff, in this case Americans.
2025-01-26 0
I drink a LOT of coffee. Occasionally, I’ll enjoy another product that Columbia is known for. This sucks.
2025-01-26 0
In my humble opinion, why not all countries must unite not to import their products to USA unti trump presidency end. Let’s see where trump gonna get all those products they really needed???

TRUMP IS THE MAN... Our prices for products already high without tariffs which tells you alot that companies are screwing us right now... Just don't buy certain products... solved.. Biden was destroying us...
2025-01-26 0
So now our chump president looks like the fool we all know he is. \nColumbia just ignore our fool and send your products to other countries that do not have a fool for a president! \nThank you for standing up for your country “you are the man!” America is the fool for allowing our resume fool-president to get away with his nonsense and cruelty. \n\nI personally hope every country follows suit and lets none of our plains land in heir countries for any reason

Columbia exports about 14 billion dollars worth of products to the US. Meanwhile, the United States exports over 20 billion dollars annually to Columbia, so who's going to lose here? This man is going to turn the world against us.
2025-01-26 0
Oh my, a few wenches seem to be in the works... I wonder what products I buy that are imported from Colombia?
2025-01-26 0
? u guys haven't changed. F Colombia and anything from Columbia Americans don't need or want their products! CONSUMERS DON'T CARE! and they don't have a monopoly on bananas lol. America is back and we don't want these socialist communist countries products. And that goes for China. They don't have a monopoly to tell us what they will n won't do! We tell them what we'll accept. Don't like it? Too bad SO SAD! Get a clue CNN
2025-01-26 0
I rather not eat their products than live with criminals.
2025-01-26 0
Won't cost more to america, colombian product would be so expensive that is not gonna be able to compete so no one is gonna buy it and they'll lose his biggest market
2025-01-26 0
Listen to this guys accent....i wonder how hes leaning. Tell them migrants to stay where they're at. Go be productive in their own countries and we'll do the same. Keep cooking Donnie
2025-01-26 0
The point being missed is, WE AMERICANS DO NOT HAVE TO BUY ANY PRODUCTS THAT ARE TARIFFED! WHICH WILL ONLY BE HARDER FOR COLUMBIA! I COULD CARE LESS ABOUT ANY ILLEGAL ALIENS! THE AMERICAN DREAM IS NOT FOR THE FREAKING CRIMINALS…THE AMERICAN DREAM IS FOR AMERICANS!!
2025-01-26 0
Just means we as Americans will not buy the products because they are too expensive forcing Columbia to bend to his will
2025-01-26 0
Americans simply dont but the colombian products thats how its intended to work .When the columbians start loosing business they will eventually give in
2025-01-26 0
These people have no idea how supply and demand works. The companies importing those food products will simply buy them from Ecuador or another nation in Central or Sputh America.
2025-01-26 0
Bottom line is that American consumers will pay for this action. The smart thing would be to establish a protocol for these flights returning. The country receives notification with names, stats and photos. \nIts represent a diplomatic solution so both the United States and Columbia can process. Now the returned planes with those illegals land back here a nd we will house and feed them for months at tax payer expense!!!!! Plus now a conference of all Latin American will probably refuse any flights to a diplomatic solution occurs!!!! If extremes continue we could endanger our businessman conducting business in these countries!!! Stupid as stupid does!!!!! Plus in most cases the product with tariff is being produced with an American partner!!!! The banana production companies are american owned or have a large vested investment!!!! So there profits will fall and they are traded on the NYSE affecting investors here state side!!!! Rise the prices here on our imported fruit and coffee. !!!! Stupid. Stupidity
2025-01-26 0
The US’s biggest ally in South America, the biggest market for US agricultural products, and there’s China waiting in the wings. And all it required was a respectful conversation. What a complete idiot. And you Americans were stupid enough to vote for him.
2025-01-26 0
The United States will feel the tariffs only hurts the American people. All products will go sky high. How you like your boy now magas? Not only eggs will go up but everything!!!
2025-01-26 0
Fuck these News people. Who else they going to sell their products to ?
2025-01-26 0
Please don't start again. We can get these products from other countries.
2025-01-26 0
Prices are already to high, the only way they can sell is lower prices and more product sells. Economics one on one. Whtch and see.
2025-01-26 0
What happens when all these countries put 100% tarrifs on us products
2025-01-26 0
Dam grow bananas and other products in other countries, RD, PR and Costa Rica have vast amount of bananas, coffee and products
2025-01-26 0
So be it, let’s buy American products
2025-01-26 0
consumers have choices...as well as the importers , supermarkets etc they just wont buy any Columbian products and Columbia will lose out. The Government of Columbia knows this would have happened and that's why they have already folded.
2025-01-26 0
The nation were given our businesses by the last 5 democratic presidents. FACT. Its time we get them back. The only way farieners will make money is lower prices and more product.
2025-01-26 0
Tariffs have zero affect on Americans who don't buy products from Columbia. If you are buying a product from Columbia and its price goes up, don't buy it or buy your product from another country. It's that simple.

Colombia will probably try to send these products to the US via another country.
2025-01-26 0
Products in the stores are going up as they speak. FAFO Maga ?????????
2025-01-26 0
Americans can help by not buying products from countries not taking their illegals back
2025-01-26 0
Adding a tarriff isn't going to have a significant change in prices for their products. That's because they are not the sole provider of said products.\n\nAny modest price increases will be for replacing their supply with other sources.
2025-01-26 0
So now Anything we get from Colombia will be expensive, so Americans likely won’t buy it. If they do, the U.S. government collects the extra tariff money from the product??
2025-01-26 0
The United States does not make squat. We get much of our coffee, oil and some food products from Columbia. Trump, to quote Sean Connery, brought a knife to a gun fight.
2025-01-26 0
Good for Trump! This is not against his foreign policy. These people are being returned home- pretty generous in my opinion. And if their country refuses their own people then with they can pay for their upkeep by tariffs. I will just not buy their products at a higher price. No problem here.
