It is highly important to ban 100 % of international students from working in Canada as international students should only be studying in Canada ? not working ?!!\n\nInternational students are strongly competing in jobs against Unemployed Canadians and Canadian Youth as many Unemployed Canadians and Unemployed Canadian Youth cannot find jobs because of international students !!! For example, if any company in Canada holds a job fair, hundreds of international students will gather in very large lines to apply for the advertised positions as they don't give any chance for the Unemployed Canadians and Unemployed Canadian Youth to get jobs.\n\nUnfortunately, hundreds of thousands of international students are working in Canada and taking jobs from the Unemployed Canadians and Unemployed Canadian Youth.\n\nWe need to ban ? 100% of international students from working in Canada in the current time as soon as possible in order to protect jobs of Canadians strongly and effectively.

Canadians can't get into university because universities make five time the money from international students. At one point the university of Alberta held 60% of the MBA program spaces for foreign students.

Most international students are attending a non-accredited institution that charges a hefty price tag with no qualifications required and many students don’t care as long as they can enter the country. These private colleges are a joke. Most businesses wouldn’t take these diplomas seriously anyway.

At the least, international students should not be allowed to work here. If they really came to study in Canada, thry better study and do not go to Food banks and collect free ration or work in Tim Hortons to make money. If they came to canada as students it means they hail from filthy-rich families otherwise how can they afford? If it is so, why do they have to work here? Local students are not getting jobs. Especially, PNJBS & other INDNS have become a MENCE to canadian economy.

Make it mandatory for every immigrant who wants to work or study in Canada to pass Canadian exams in english and french before ever coming here and agree to bring family or extended family here ..also international students after there school is done leave the country and are also not to work while here

International students are in Canada for education only. They should go home voluntarily after graduating as per their visas. If they don't they should be deported. Period.

Why didnt the government put a cap or a stop specifically just for Indian people? Why didnt the immigration look deep before giving student visa just like a snap of a finger and see if they can support themselve for school and living expense. \n\nI am an immigrant myself but when i decided to come to canada as a student. I made sure i had enough funds to sustain myself here in canada for 2 years until i can get my work permit then a head to PR. Nowdays I see a lot of international Students get access or abusing goverment facilities and benefits for which not entitle for them but Canadian residence only (PR or Canadian Citizen). I never ask for Cerb when covid happen, never ask food bank my part time job can fullfill that, paid my fare for using transportation, paid my rents and utilities on time and paid my credit cards. Lastly i never complaint focus on my study and I get good high paying jobs. I am proud to contribute to Canadian Economy as an Immigrant.\n\nThe question is are they doing the same? If you cannot sustain yourself dont add your burden to the country. We (Canadian Residence) paid heavy taxes from our sweat to cover ur burden and debt. Put yourseld in our position and you know what I mean.\n\nCanadian Goverment is too nice compare to other western country go and take a look at the US, Australia, British, New Zeland and Europe Nation. If u cannot sustain yourself do you think those gov at given country will give a care abt you? If Canada need labour shortages then only allowed to do specific job , why bring “international students “ and allow them to work at low wedges and steels local youth jobs.

Today they can no longer scam as many international students to come in, tomorrow they won't be able to scam as many immigrants to choose Canada. Canada is on a path to decline with or without immigration. Most people are unaware of the problems that would show up if they suddenly stop immigration and international students, colleges and universities would go bankrupt and poverty will only get exacerbated.

As what experienced, i knew so much international students from India, Nepal who are students here, some work with them having a lot of issues now. Not enough money to pay their tuition/rent/food. As when they enter, parents support them and after months or a year , they stop sending money. It affects student as can’t really afford to support themselves, having hard time to find job as there are limit to their work hours. It will not pay off their bill entirely. It end up looking for cash job everywhere. There is no much cash job anymore. \n\nGovernment should take action to this!!! \n\nLucky those who came years ago as they were not much international students as to compare today. \n\nI feel this students but government keep bringing them to Canada without checking this situation…. Unemployment is real!!!

There's a lot of pilipinos student they're bringing their families here in Canada, per families they 1-6 children and the tax payers are suffering to pay their children tuition fees. Hopefully, the international students after their study they should leave here in Canada.

Interesting that we do not see international students from Africa (the largest group is Nigerians), the Philippines, China or other nations protesting the changes.

I understand the sentiment people seem to share that international students and other temp workers are taking jobs away from citizens and permanent residents. However, teenagers here are so self entitled now and are unwilling to do the jobs at McDonalds and Tim's. The laziness and lack of competitiveness is killing this economy.

People are recognizing that Canada has been allowing too many immigrants, international students, and temporary foreign workers into the country. It's not anti-immigration to recognize this and to demand changes.

Get rid of temporary foreign workers, international students and drastically lower the number of immigrants allowed in every year.

One advantage will be online education getting a boost as these new rules will discourage international students from coming , so Canadian universities will have to go to the students.

I saw a CBC article about an international student and how shes going to struggle financially with less hours to work. First of all theyre supposed to have the money to support themselves. Secondly working a full time job while studying full time is weaking educational outcomes. No wonder IS are failing! If you cant afford too be here then you need to move back home.

International students should come just to study not to work, if they can pay the universities fees, they should be able to pay for their bills. Foreign workers are need in some jobs, for example: agriculture, housekeeping, or skilled workers are ok too but we can see every store, fast food shops full of Filipinos and Indians, and they’re like mafias, once a Filipino is a manager, they mostly hire Filipinos and same with Indians. My daughter and her friends have been applying for a part time job in Tim’s, McDonalds, a&w, Walmart and other grocery stores and barely get a interview and never hired?, ahh but my daughter’s Filipino friends are all working ?, some of them where their parents work?
