The Tent encampments have absolutely nothing to do with the immigration! Majority of the people in these tents have the drug and alcohol addiction! \n\nThey need decent rehab placements and community support! \nAlso, not everyone wants to get off the high of the drugs! \n\nNevertheless, there needs to be more rehab centres opened! It’s a big issue for those seeking help and not getting any, long wait lists! \n\nAnd, these Rehab places need to have the Govt Accreditation, licensing, supervision and inspections! Some of these places ( inl the private ones), I have read, are very low quality where the illegal drugs are available and abuse goes on!

I worked for 31 years with horses and after the last accident happened it put me on the shelf for good. i was denied disabilty 2 times had to go infront of the tribunal and i finally got it. I should have just kept working through the injury like so many others i worked through my family would have been more comfortable. GET ME IN THE RUNNING!

The current government increased immigration to have them beholding to them and so they get votes. At the same time they are leaving people that were born here, homeless and living in tent while the immigrants are taking up the shelter spaces and the Canadian tax payers footing the bill for them to live in motels and Ontario housings. I can tell you that if the homeless people in our community were voting, this would never of happened and they would not be living in our parks, in tents. As for me, I would give my address for them to have an address to vote from. All homed Canadians should be doing this to help these people have a voice in the country that they were born in. VOTING IN POWER FOR THESE PEOPLE! Make no doubt the the large portion of our homeless community have mental health issues and our society (GOVERNMENT) is not helping them. We are loosing generations of our Canadians. The Mental Health Act trumps The Rights of Freedom. Under The Mental Health Act if a person is a danger to their self or others, they are to be formed and get the help they need....SHAME ON THE GOVERNMENT

Here’s an idea stop with all the stupid condos and start making affordable housing for people that really need their housing. There’s people living in tents all over Toronto. Also, how about helping those buildings that are ran by housings from falling apart. Hygiene and cleanliness is an enormous issue, and a lot of these buildings they’re not being maintained.

Everyone that was struggling before, is struggling even harder Now, everyone is feeling this burn in any way, shape or form, and the cost of living in Canada is insanity. The basic necessities are becoming more of a problem to get and or too expensive to buy like for instance, toothpaste, deodorant…You cannot find it for under $10 for one stick of deodorant.

Too many in already, the question is how many are actually helping Canada grow or just squatting or causing headaches for locals? Have they started deporting undesirables? Majority could not afford housing, too expensive. High cost of living is too much for people getting base pay. Trudumb caused this disaster. The government needs to be revamp.

Seniors are forced to work long past 65 because we can't afford to stay in our apartments or our homes because of this true liberal communist government is more event on stealing taxpayers dollars to give themselves than to help the people of this great country I'm 68 years old I can't quit I owe the government money every year cuz they say I make too much so if 38,000 is too much that I don't know what is seniors should not be taxed at all. On our payroll checks they're already screwing us every time we go to the pumps every time we go to the store we still get screwed on taxes that we pay more than any other country in the world pays

Trudeau increased immigration from 1x to 4x in a very short span and the country has never been worse...he needs to visit Toronto and get out of his bubble. The church over at King and Church st.... The garden of edan they call it is filled with tents for the first time this summer. Never happened before. The quality of life for too many people is extremely difficult. The government programs within service ontario are also discriminating against Canadians. There for new comers for the most part despite our tax dollars paying for it and we cant get help. Need to pause immigration in its entirity intill a plan is in place that makes sense .

The process is not the same as it was in the 80s when they did not require renewal every couple yrs w high $ and rules to return to home country for a set amount of time risking losing your home/job/business etc. Some renewal process for green cards have sped up but still takes 6-1yr and a new green card renewal and new one for Mexico can take 1-3yrs for approval. So someone that’s been here +20yrs will have to leave everything they have built here to go wait quite a long time. Its not if you agree how they got here, its what they have done in our country since being here. They add to our economy, +80% pay taxes to never get any of those benefits and they open businesses employing people etc. If they have been here committing a list of crimes then no i don’t agree but majority of immigrants don’t do that. I agree our border needs protection and security. Majority of the left do agree w that but gop don’t want solutions they want to just shut it down completely and thats not right. We have always been a country of opportunity and growth for everybody. Let's be honest, the point is... other Arabs don't want Palestinians in their countries. The West has to learn to stop taking in these people. Their own people don't want them. When I first visited Amsterdam and walked around my hotel looking for a coffee in 2016, 15 min later, I came back to my hotel giving coffee to my wife and told, watch something bad is going to happen here soon, extremists are trying recruit people of color. Since I was new to the place, I came across 3 people asking me if I am a muslim. I politely said no. This incident was good enough for me to guess, but I did not tell anyone except my wife because no one will believe me including my wife. Two years later, Amsterdam terrorists attack happened. Many of my observations in several other places/countries came true. It looked like, Einstein once said, I do not know what weapons we use in the third world war, But I can guess certainly for the 4th, Sticks and Stones. \n\nNo country should harbor extremists a safe haven, esply. on religious grounds. Justin's support to Khalistani extremists will bring a lot of misery to Canadians, just watch. I am 100% liberal, not by definition but by common sense. A Ukrainian immigrant here. Absolutely in love with beautiful canadian nature, cute little houses, especially townhouses in toronto, just so wholesome. As for life, you gotta be some sort of specialist like a doctor, or a proper construction worker, or a truck driver to have a decent life that goes beyond just getting by and eking out an existence. On my own i can make enough money for food and rent, but thats about it, and im happy about it, really, i get to be alive thanks to canada, but i really hope i could move out of here as soon as it becomes safe, or just move to a cheaper country thats a decent distance away from russia. I ended up being unemployed and i do feel like im in quite a real danger on eventually becoming homeless if i dont manage to procure a job, and you know how the job market is now. As for health care, i simply dont have access to it, at least i dont have a family doctor and have been trying for a while to get one. I haven't tried walking ins yet since i prioritize food over health now but i might someday. I just hope that whatever sickness bugs me is minor, i cant do anything about it. My teeth hurt too, but i cant afford a dentist, and ive found one Clinique in toronto that helps immigrants fix their teeth for cheap, they can help you with three teeth in total, and i've used up one of it, and saving the rest for real emergencies. I cant eat anything except for real soft food, and i know im not gonna get any help i could afford any time soon.\nOnce i get a job i will be saving as much money as i can to leave Canada, i don't know where yet but i'm doing my research and hopefully will find a place, and if not well, sucks to suck. It's hard for everybody out there, i'm just one of the millions if not billions who go through that.\n\nAlso I don’t think ‘nobody wants to live in Canada’ is entirely accurate. It seems that the idea of canada, and the way its marketed, attracts a lot of new immigrants, and a lot of people would love a chance to live in Canada. It's simply not true. But after the fact , once they have , i could believe that some are not willing to stay and might regret the decision of moving in the first place.

For licensed doctors I would think that the 4 years would be a snap if you already know the material but beside that , if they went back because they could work in their field in there home country then why did they come here in the first place. Obviously it wasn't violence or fear for their lives.\n If they come here and enjoy the first years but then the reality kicks in when the benefits stop that they may have to work for minimum wage and they now know that a person making minimum wage in Canada is makes you homeless, can't afford a car or the gas, insurance and can only buy food , that they realize that they were better off where they were. It;s time our government informed these people of the harsh reality of how our governments have allowed our once great country to become place where it;s citizens suffer under these financially inadequate conditions that are only made worse by immigration numbers that far exceed our ability to house them. Maybe have them try to support themselves on the income they would get here while they are still in their country, or if it made a condition that our government must prove that they can sustain themselves with minimum wage before they can immigrate then immigration would be denied because heaven help them if minimum wage isn't enough because welfare/odsp is like jumping from the frying pan into the fire.

I am so sorry, as a native Canadian, that Indians are feeling attacked. It is difficult, no matter your ethnic background, if you are not Indian to even acknowledge these issues because people are afraid of being labelled as racist so I thank you for bringing this topic up. Please understand this is the result of runaway immigrations with no real screening. The government quadrupled immigration, hundreds of percents increase in students, asylum seekers, and illegal entries, even though there was already a housing crisis, and a completely predictable doctor shortage due to aging out. Covid was just starting to get under control but many still needed treatment and BOOM, the population went from 30 million in 2014 to over 40 million in a decade, most of it in the last 3 years. We native Canadians are scratching our heads, we don't understand what the Liberals are trying to accomplish but to create suspicion and racism between groups of people -- divide and conquer? Maybe...but ultimately it is a complete lack of planning! Still 99 percent of Canadian born do not blame Iindividual ndians for this. I've lived and worked with Indians my entire life of over 60 years. There are now Indian gangs, particularly Punjabi gangs because of lack of oversight, and while they are small they are constantly committing crimes, selling drugs, shooting people all in the last few years. I hear gun shots nightly in my ethnically mixed neighbourhood, and we are all afraid to walk at night. Unfortunately the people arrested are mostly from continental India. Some have a political agenda that has to do more with India than Canada, so they recruit young Indo-Canadian children from good families and tell them they are being oppressed, and next thing these kids are acting as drug mules and enforcers, being told that they are fighting systemic racism. As for dancing and music, I love the cultural events, we are happy to see and even take part in Indian cultural events. IWhen I do hear people blaming India and Indians it breaks my heart too! Hopefully together we can fix this. Our governments are at odds, and I hate this -- they need to respectfully talk and work this out. You are good neighbours, good people, you are welcome here and have helped build Canada in so many positive ways. ?

The Israelites exited the Gaza in 2005. Not one remained. The people there received hundreds of millions of dollars from many sources to help them form a reliable government. They elected Hamas, a group that the US has designated a terrorist organization. What did Hamas spend money on ? Weapons, building tunnels, etc. All to harass and kill and maim Jews.. 20% of the population of Israel is Arab. They have jobs, land , representative government etc. They live in peace in Israel. No, the US doesn’t have universal health care but there are insurance plans and the care is enormously better. My girlfriend had 4th stage throat cancer. In Calgary the doctors at some point told her there was nothing more they could do for her and to get her affairs in order. Her father sent her to the Anderson Clinic in Houston - yes it was expensive but they treated her, saved her life and that was 24 years ago. \nIt’s common in our emergency rooms to wait up to 12 hours to be seen. \nOur system isn’t progressive and doctors and nurses don’t get paid near as well as in the States. That being said, I am happy that I don’t have to pay to see the doctor or have a stay in the hospital. \nCost of Living: Once upon a time it was good - housing was cheap and many companies had the full range of benefits and salaries were equal to the cost of living. Now these same companies have stripped the benefits by hiring people under contract so they don’t have to give them benefits. \nRents are through the roof and in Calgary there are no rent caps. Buying a decent house in a decent neighbourhood is impossible unless you inherit or make a six figure income. This, in no small part, has created a homelessness crisis that never had been seen in such numbers before. Crime also is getting worse by the day. Canada was once known as a safe country. This is no longer the case.\nEverything is very expensive and the tax very high. Plus, we have to suffer winter! Where I live, the joke is that we have two seasons - July and winter!\nI still like my city (not love) but I am retired and own two houses - one inherited and the other bought when it was affordable (32 years ago). Calgary would not be a place I would live if I was a newcomer. Vancouver is beautiful but you really pay for it. \nTrudeau has helped make a big mess of things with immigration and lax criminal laws. My beef is not with immigrants I must state - it is with the lack of jobs for them when they come, thereby forcing bad living conditions and an over reliance on the social systems. I add that the immigration population is much more willing to work in jobs they have to take (despite a high education) than our natural and bloated citizens.\nSo yes, Canada has increasingly gone downhill. On a positive note, hand guns at least are not legal and our country has beautiful natural land.

Thing is, it is better to try to save these people first from immediate danger, then the less immediate concerns, one step at the time. Given how difficult it is to help the people there, it is easier to provide medical care in a safe area, and it seems the neighbouring country does not have any interest to stop the violence it causes to the Palestinians. And given that the US is backing the neighbouring country, we can't ask for change, since they don't seem to want to change attitude either.

To lift the weight the Palestinian People need the help of not only other people from the Middle East but also the World who are in solidarity to bring peace, security, quality of life and co-existence for the Palestinians, and all people in the Middle East. I was born here 55 years ago, I am mixed race and have been asked if I was Indian. I think that my time growing up in Canada is that Indians have had the most racism towards them. However, There are too many coming here right now. 99% of the Indians I have met with are nice and great people. With that , the shear amount of Indians that are not desirable are here. Cannot drive, rude, no understanding of customer service and take over public spaces and are litter bugs. You guys have to help transition into the western american canadian tradition. I have seen influxes of other countries come over here in my 55 years but I have never seen one group come over with these huge numbers. It is a massive displacement
