I lived and worked in TO in a few areas for several years. I left in 2016. I am glad I left before it got bad. I started witnessing more racist comments on subway and platforms were becoming too crowded. After 30 plus years I moved to live in a rural area before moving to live in a similar setting to where I grew up in Oakville. I do love TO and it has so much to offer. I worked downtown and just could not keep up. I spent my spare time walking along the beaches especially Scarborough Bluffs and skating at Harbourfront on a weekday. These are fond memories that I will cherish.\n\n I heard that the shelters were over crowded and unhealthy places. I met a nice man in my building who was successful, lived on street for 13 years before successfully integrating into low-income housing. I learned the most from his stories and met some of the most fabulous people in the worst buildings. I had to leave for safety and mental health reasons. I could not see myself remaining in TO without support. \n\n I made the right move in the right time. Not everyone can afford city living. My quality of life and mental health are better but I cherish the friendships I made in TO. My Grandfather was a Mcleod and I am amazed how much you look like my mother when she was younger. She modeled for Ford and volunteered for a local Vet and hospital. I wish you well. I appreciate your honesty. Since I left, I have driven by TO on 407 a few times. I just didn't have the right mix of education and work to survive in the city any more.

A South African who lived there a few years. Nothing felt better than getting on the plane to leave, and knowing I will never have to return. Even South Africa with the crime and load shedding is by far better. In many ways a man is more free here even if i have to live behind security systems. I can speak my mind without fear of some PC police and censorship, which is far worse prison. My standard of living is also far better here. I can ride my bikes as I please where in Canada I can only ride a few months and would lose my license in a month due to BS fines. And the people here are much more open and truly hospitable, not some fake politeness. I even missed the blacks here, who at least i can joke and chat with far easier than with canadians. I found I have more in common with black africans than with white canadians who look like me and speak the same language. We may have the same skin colour but are totally different in culture. It made me realise I am more african than western, proud of it, and I would prefer to live and die with the african sun on my face with wide open space, than in some dark, cold, gloomy place living in cramped quarters in some libtard paradise constrained by so many laws. Of course black south africans will not like to hear that whitey has no plans to leave, but this is my home as much as theirs, I contribute to making the country somehow still function, and my kids are also more interested in making the nation run than running off to Australia, or even worse, Canada.\n\nI am so glad I didn't meet a woman there and get stuck. I grew up coming to Toronto regularly and I moved here in 2018 to start university. I felt safe and had no real issues for the first 2 years. This past year though I have had three life threatening situations on the TTC and street. I was threatened to be stabbed by a man on the subway and chased by a woman on St Clair threatening to kill me. The city is not the same at all. I love it here but I do feel like im risking my life leaving my home.

I am 10th generation Canadian and plan on leaving one day too just not sure when and where to go. Affordability is not good, no special things for the long term generations that their whole family grew up here, nothing with banks, nothing with education, nothing to advance careers for myself or my children, non allied people getting in. I remember when there was stricter immigration laws. I remember when one man could support a whole family. I remember when citizens would walk on one side of the street and allow others to pass on the opposite side walking from the other direction on the streets as well as in the stores, when people had more courtesy. I remember when people could joke and not get offended, when people would stand up for one another. When a community was a community. When you could be Christian and not considered offensive. When it was safe to say bless you and not be told to shove it etc... when you did not have to witness riots on the streets and a people divided and it was not believers and non believers either as the non believers would still be peaceful in the past. It is much more than that now. Now it is you are white and racist, which I am far from but have been accused and am very baffled at that statement because never in my life would I in the past ever be accused of that. I am now like, wow what am I witnessing? I just feel something much greater is going to come, but not knowing when. ONe thing I fear is there will be an all out war and it will be whites or Christians being the target one day.

My immigration process took 14 years in total until I could get here, it was a blessing and I had a lot of gratitude to be here after living in a warzone. Ive lived in Winnipeg for 10 years, a part of me was always happy and okay to deal with the cold because at least nobody would be killing you or attempting to on a daily basis, with rockets and bombs. 10 years later, I was wondering that the only reason we came here was to escape war, and not find a better quality of life. Housing crisis, most can’t afford houses or even rent a nice apartment. Healthcare system is a complete dogshit mess, people here don’t recognize the importance of how much this industry needs to be supported by governments and citizens because EVERYONE benefits from it and stay alive longer. I don’t know man, I only see it collapsing going forward, especially when everyone is divided and the aboriginal issues are a constant trend.

Ok, so I live near a border crossing so I’ve been over to shop on many occasions. (Never lived there though.) Here’s an example of a time I was over there, waiting in line at customer service at a store. There was a man in front of me. I patiently waited for him to finish and then went to step forward in his place. A woman behind me basically pushed me out of the way, literally cut me, and then started interacting with the employee like it was an everyday normal thing to do! I had to pick my jaw up off the floor. Manners are something you learn as a child. I had no idea how I’m inconsiderate and rude some people could be. (I have many other examples but of course when I see something like that, I really notice it.)\nNever mind the lack of respect for human life when you’re trying to drive on a Freeway with some. That’s actually terrifying.

I live in Delhi, and i have so many friends from each state that i cant even count. And none of them, no matter where they are from we all have same problems, study, work, relationaships general. and i love punjabis man most of them are so fun and going to gurudwara is like family activity. i have also served in many gurudwaras. and i have yet to see any form of discrimination really anywhere.

Why don't you talk about fact that Punjab is the only state in india who doesn't have control over its water. 70% of Punjab water is given to Rajasthan, Haryana and Delhi. Then you guys give an argument that Haryana was with Punjab before, but the fact is when you calculate the water sharing between Punjab and Haryana, India doesn't include yamuna water. Yamuna water is only reserved for Haryana and Punjab water is forced to be shared. Narmada tribunal denied Rajasthan any water because its non riparian state. only 0.5 MAF water was given to them after taking Guj,MP and Maha Cm's consent. Where as 8.5MAF water ie 51% of punjab's water is given to Rajasthan. Every state has a right over its water and headworks except Punjab. we have no option other than using pumps. Punjab is nothing more than a food producing colony for the Indian state. Indian state has used and thrown Punjab.You seem like a reasonable man Mr Rajput I hope you take up this issue. I was raised in New Orleans, and lived in Toronto from 2015 to 2021. As a game developer, my income and affordability are no setbacks; but the increasing crime rate was fairly on par with NYC and LA in 2021 (I'm sure must be the same now). Yeah, free healthcare n no guns yada yada yada (always take a heat for that) but that insane level of theft n break ins like WTAF man! Yup, free healthcare too but good luck accessing it! My income purchasing power was quite low compared with many major cities in the US (exc. NYC but similar to LA). Add the forever construction, harsh weather, that influx of migration from a specific country (hush-hush) with no desire to integrate n assimilate, I decided enough was enough, packed my bags n moved to Irvine CA. Never been happier!

Every man deserves the right to feed himself and house himself. When we deprive any human being of that natural right, things like this occur. No one should be begging for a job to sustain themselves. It should be our RIGHT to work. As a planet, we need to address this issue. Everybody would be fine in their own country if their natural right to work to LIVE wasn’t stripped away from them. Same as the United States. We shouldn’t be begging anyone to work for money. Hahahah! In Canada, they give you a job, they expect you to do your job while you’re on the clock. In Nigeria you are working and having fun. That’s why one country is developed and the other is not. The one has functional institutions, nothing works in the other. It’s no wonder why anyone migrating from a country like Nigeria would have problems initially getting used to a system like Canada or the US where productivity is of the utmost importance. Also the “big man” syndrome often common in most developing countries does not exist in most of these developed nations. It takes some Nigerian professionals a little while to get off the high horse of their “bigmanism” and get used to the near egalitarian state of these societies. Plus, you have to go through a process of licensure before the degrees you brought with you are worth anything. Before then you have to endure with odd jobs and answer to your superiors at work. \n\nIt’s a process, and all those who migrate to Canada and the US have to go through it. The reward? You have the opportunity to give you and your kids a better life.
