Many Hong Kongers left HK before or around the 1997 handover. After getting Canadian citizenship many returned back to HK. Getting Canadian passport is just an escape route if HK goes ape shit. Currently HK is doing just fine under 1 country 2 systems.

Sir , check out Malaysia, KL is a great country and Muslim friendly of course, but also a tolerant society . Check out the Philippines. I live there part time . On the SW corner of Mindanao (Zamboanga ) great town and 1/2 Muslim) people get along fine there usually. I live up in north Luzon - mostly Christian but Muslims are around too . No hassle and respectful. I don’t know your financial situation, however, in the Philippines, the school system is quite good, and private schools are stunningly excellent. I would definitely check out the Philippines and also Malaysia. Both have a great style of life and it doesn’t cost a fortune to live well. Education is quite good and the medical situation is also quite good. In the Philippines, however you have to select the hospital before you become ill in the Philippines, there is the public hospitals, which is fine for minor, scrapes and cut, but I would recommend a major hospital for anything serious. In Malaysia, the standard of medical care is good throughout the country. You could also consider northern Thailand. Southern Thailand is too much into tourism, but northern Thailand has a good mixture of people and religions. Mainly a Buddhist country, but very tolerant towards Christians, Hindus, and Muslims. If I went around doing what they do I would be seen as a vigilante. I would also be arrested. Why is this not the case for them. I blame the leadership of the areas and more importantly the country.

This is a good example of what differentiates a Canadian from a person who holds Canadian citizenship. I think things might get better when we have our new common sense PM, the current one is just so incompetent, I will for sure leave this place if he gets re-elected in 2 years. I appreciate the way you present the reality. One way to cope with salaries and taxes is to open you own enterprise. This is the canadian way of growing fron a wealth point of view. As a person leaving from a salary, it is still possible to grow depending on your skills. But beggining your own business to exploit your skills will make you 'fly' to the next level, which is the actual way of growing. It took me a lot of years to realice this. Just think about it, provinces allow medecins to incorporate what means that they will pay less taxes and become richer sooner. This is just my thought, other people may think in a different way, I just try to give positive ideas.\n\nSecondly, Canada is still a country to live in a bit better than other countries considering many things happening around the world. Many of your numbers are wrong sweetie. Here are the facts;\n2 years ago, you would go to IGA (where food is fresh but it is pricey), you would get out with 2 bags of groceries for about 120$. Today, it is 180$ for the same 2 bags. this is NOT a 10% increase... but almost the double in price!\n\nRent, in Quebec province, have gone from around 1,000$ to 2,400$ in less than 5 years, and each time a tennant leave his place, the landlord rise (against the law but nobody can do anything) the rent often by 25 to 40%!!! The Demand is so high, that he can refuse you for any reason (including racism, children, pet, smokers) he can think of. Again, this is against the common law but in truth, there is nothing anybody can do, unless you can bring him to court, which takes lots of money...\n\nSo in reality, from the last 5 years, almost everything has double in price and salaries have barely start to rise (mostly due to unions who revolted) but if you are not part of one, your salary basically stayed the same.\n\nA very good advice, don't come to Canada. There is no 'dream' here anymore. it is hell. And even if you find a decent job, you will be ask to do the job of 4 peoples and taking your vacation will be near impossible without losing it. As around 8-10 years ago, I embarked on a similar journey, leaving North America for the Middle East, Far East, and South East Asia in search of a country with Islamic values and environment. However, I eventually returned back due to witnessing too much hypocrisy and lawlessness in those places. Unfortunately, there isn't a single country in the world that can be considered a true Islamic country. If you've found something that fits the criteria, please feel free to share. Honestly, I can't claim it's 100%, but during Dr. Mahathir's time, Malaysia seemed around 60-70%. The main challenge was the language; learning Malay is essential to fit in better. English is widely spoken and understood, but proficiency in Malay enhances the experience. As for Turkey, UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Pakistan, they fall short at the 20-30% level. May Allah SWT bless you, your family, and guide you to find the best fit that meets your religious needs.

So many muslims around the world appear to want to escape their native muslim country for economic reasons or for reasons of persecution. It would be great if you could share with us, your discovery of 3 or 4 muslim countries that would encourage other muslims to gravitate to.

Everywhere is the same in terms of inflations , infect having friends in Europe I know is even worse over there . I think your problem is you want to live your life very Islamic , you want everything around you being about religious in your case Islam . You tend to get high taxes in places with free health care. Many use Canada as a bridge country to the US. In the US health care is very expensive. Many companies you would work for offer free health care plans for single individuals ( if you have a family it costs a lot ) but those plans have such high deductibles and co-pays that you can't afford to use it. Most US health care plans have very high deductibles ad co-pays making it extremely expensive. Then when you retire and start getting social security which is not much money by the way, you also get Medicare which also has a monthly charge around $150 mth. It doesn't cover everything. It does not cover dental or vision. It does not cover all your hospital stay which tends to occur as you get older. Most Americans end up having to sell their homes that they spent a lifetime paying off, to pay medical bills and end up on Medicaid which is the free last resort medical care and end up in a nursing home to end your days. Most nursing homes are bad. You end up in a 2 person room, in diapers, up for meals and back to bed, diaper changed 2 times per shift and one shower per week done by whomever in the communal shower room. Shelves until you die, which many do very quickly out of despair. After working your whole life that is the prize folks in the US.

If you are a Muslim and living in Canada, why didn't you adapt to the Canadian lifestyle. As an immigrant, you must adapt to your new country not the other way around. Basically, you are just petulant immigrant.

It's a disgrace how Canada has been governed the last 8 years. Government debt is through the roof and that burden has been passed directly to the once so called middle class now the working poor. I am leaving Canada as I can only see life and standard of living dropping considerably. If they stop the idiot policies now, it will take a generation to recover, but i hardly see that happening. The climate activists, gender activists and health fear mongering is controlling policy and brainwashing children. Canadians will accpet things. I've wanted out of here for 15 years now.. the only issue is actually getting work visas.. Unlike Canada, other countries are quite strict with giving out work visas, while here in Canada, it's well known around the world that you just need to come here, take some ESL classes and you're on the pathway to Permanent Residence in Canada.. I've personally met dozens of people here permanently simply via ESL/ student visas..

First generation immigrants have always worked in labour jobs to get started. We are proud of our parents who sacrificed their careers for us. Taxation is about collective living. We will continue to improve. Crime here is nothing compared to most countries in the world. You give anecdotal evidence. Random stabbing is much better than mass shooters. Drug crisis is real. This will be global issue, including Asia. C-18 is making tech companies accountable and pay up. Making friends is easy here. If you move around a lot, you can’t build friendships.

I am indonesian, but i’ve lived in Japan and the US for study purpose, and i relate to your experience. Eventhough i had a strong moslem community when i was in Japan/US, and halal food was accessible there, i was still feeling uncomfortable that as a moslem i couldn’t express my identity freely. Whenever i wanted to go for a roadtrip or place outside of my city, i need to search if halal food was available in there or not, while in Indonesia i don’t have to worry about halal food, almost all food are halal, the restaurant usually inform us if their are not halal. Another experience is that in non-moslem country, they didn’t provide many prayer rooms or mosques, that’s also sickening for me. I mean i don’t mind to pray in a random parking lot, or in a park, or in an emergency stairs, or in changing room in mall, or any random places; but i really missed my country where prayer room is available anywhere, you can find prayer room in gas station, in a restaurant, in the mall, in airport/bus station/train station, etc. Also mosques are everywhere too. You are easily going to find mosque after walking around 200m, well yeah there is a reason why Indonesia is a country with the most number of mosques in the world. Another thing is islamic class. When i was in Japan, i could only join an islamic class where people gather to listen from syeikh (or we call it as “pengajian”) once in every other months, in the US was better, mosque in mu place held islamic class every other day. However, in Indonesia, islamic classes are everywhere, it’s like every mosque held their own class, until to the point that i am confused what should i follow because there are so many options ?. The last is that, in moslem country or at least in my country, finding moslems outfit is very easy. So yeah, overall, i prefer to live in moslem countries. Alhamdulillah i was born in moslem country, and alhamdulillah my country’s situasion, eventho not perfect, is peacefull.

Completely fair that the cold isn’t for everyone. If you don’t like winter activities, there’s literally no point living here. For me, I could not live without skiing , skating, ice fishing and just messing around sledding, snowball fights etc. and other fun winter activities and festivals. There’s something about coming in after a cold winter day, sitting by the fireplace and drinking hot chocolate (not to say Canada’s always cold as summers are extremely hot). I’m originally from Kazakhstan but have lived all my adult life in California (21-41) and now considering moving out of state or even country. I do have still another 10 years I need to live here to accomplish a few of my career goals to live more comfortably afterwards, but in a long run this is not a place to live anymore. Even in the past 20 years I’ve lived in California I’ve witnessed economy and the whole family values goes down the drain, more homelessness, less opportunities, people are more selfish, etc. I know it is happening all around the world too but as in this video it was stated, it is much harder for me to be a practicing Muslim in an environment surrounded by non Muslims (no offense) - just the lack of mosques in my vicinity, an Islamic environment for my child, halal foods, etc. There are mosques and halal food, but I have to drive for it. I have wonderful friends, coworkers and neighbors that are non Muslim and super nice and we have great relationships. But there are oftentimes situations when I wish they understood me better like with this situation about Palestine. I think Palestine is the last drop we needed to firmly make the decision to move.

Why should other countries be responsible for citizens who voted for Hamas. There was celebrations around the world by Palestinians, for the disgraceful attacks on the Jewish population in Israel. They want sympathy and understanding from the world, but I shall never forget their chants and behaviours, even before Israel retaliated. Countries who have taken these people in, have altered the fabric of their societies. You can try all you want in the UK, but our citizens will vote out Sunak the spineless fingers crossed they get rid of Sadiq Khan who is the racist major of London. It’s called a democracy. We may have to wait for Labour to run its election course, but Reform UK is the party who puts its citizens before those who abuse the migration process and those who chant against countries that have been good enough and have taken them in. There will be a time, in the future when racism gets called out, tougher legislation comes into effect. You have no value, then you will have to leave, by law of the land, not the law of your religion.

Sorry, I still love Canada, look at what is going on around the world, and quite fine to be here, Most industrialized countries are expensive to live in, no matter where you’re at today, inflation, high accommodation rates, and food increases, are everywhere. Maybe we’re just lucky, but our healthcare around us is quite good, and when I compare to what people pay in the United States for healthcare premiums for average to decent healthcare. It’s a bargain. Never understand people crying about the weather who immigrate here, for Gosh sakes, you moved to a northern climate. What do you expect? Do you really expect the world climate to change for you and to be more like the southern hemisphere country you came from? Weather doesn’t work that way. Why did people leave their original country if they were just so wonderful in the first place? A ton of political instability where they came from and few jobs.

I have been living in Canada for over 20 years now, staying in Mississauga & not sure about the druggies everywhere statement, may be true about downtown TO. We also have a strong muslim community around us, ofc azaan five times a day and access to pray easily I do understand is missing here as in any non muslim country of the world. There are a lot of halal food options here now..esp in the past few years. Regardless of where you stay, it is my belief that you carry your deen with you, its a way of life and can be practised & taught to children in any part of the world. I do get the point about winters, but then summers are harsh in alot of countries like the Middle East & ppl stay mostly indoors. To each their own & I wish you the best in your decision! ❤

My parents migrated from Pakistan to UK in the 1960s, they were the minority Muslims, but pioneers in establishing mosques, halal food in all educational establishments, many work places and major food outlets in majority Muslim areas. They also established Salah places in work and education and public buildings, and also the rights to practice your faith and take time for Salah in working hours.\n\nNow, my family are the fifth settled generation and alhamdolillah, we have many madrassas, islamic schools, and children becoming Hafiz. \n\nWe live in harmony with non Muslims and many are converting daily, the question is if there was no Muslims, how would the Deen be shown and expand in non Muslims countries. Even our Sahabahs went into the world to teach and expand our beautiful faith Islam.\n\nMany Islamic countries are only Islamic my name, they are the biggest contributers to the genocide, as they have not spoken up or helped their Muslim ummah in Palestine. You will also find many covert doctrines in their governments that you may not agree with.\n\nLastly, many Muslim children attend public schools and are being exposed to the LGBT community and we as Muslim parents are teaching them in our homes from a young age, that in islam there is only a man and a woman and no third gender and only a man can marry a woman.\n\nYou can have the best of intentions but you can wrap your children and one day they will be exposed to what is not Islamic, and they need to be taught how to deal with it and hopefully, by showing them their own Islamic values, hopefully also change people's perceptions as they come into Islam.\n\nMaybe, if you stayed in Canada, you could establish an islamic school for your children and other Muslim children to attend, look around where you live, see where you can establish prayer areas, talk to the mall managers and finance prayer rooms, talk to schools, public restaurants, and establish halal foods. what an absurd situation, a clear clash between country policies and the corporate world, more of a discrimination. Luring people to become a skilled immigrant and then offering them to do an entry level job because they dont have Canadian experience and that means just to knwo how to behave in Canadian workplace, a Clear BS and insult to the highly qualified and experienced professionals from around the world. I think your reading of the situation is slight from the wrong end of scope. \n\n1> the job of the Canadian gov is to look after Canadians. (Yes they allow immigrants but that is for the benefit of Canadians and not the other way around. \n\nThe house prices are intentionally kept high. The reason is because it makes existing citizens richer. (Year on year) these people vote and the gov would like their vote) . Creating huge supply of housing is going to crash the market and that will end up people feeling poor. (Values will drop : demand and supply) . The government and the people of Indonesia support Palestine, so it would be far easier for you guys to support Palestine when you lived here. \n2. There's no lgtv agenda in our education curriculum, same sex marriage is not allowed here. \n3. Islamic environment, well Indonesia is the biggest Muslims population in the world around 237 million ppl and also the country with the most amount of masjid (mosque) by far 800.000 roughly. And halal certified products is everywhere, even our mineral water is certified halal. And of course for sister sana and your daughters its free to wear hijab. \n4. Cost of living is way cheaper than Canada, and it's even cheaper than the middle East. \n5. It's a tropical country, with A LOT of beautiful beaches (and also 5 sholat time through out the year doesn't change a lot, very different than Canada). \n\nInshaAllah this will a beneficial information for you guys.

As a born and raised Canadian of immigrant parents, i have definitely noticed the increasing influx of people leaving this country in recent months. This issue has popping up more in the news, just around this year. Canada needs immigrants, thats true for the long term it will benefit the country, but right now its more of the drawbacks that are manifesting. Accepting More immigrants means that more resources are needed, that means and so many tax paid social services and benefits like housing, healthcare, welfare, citizenship applications, waitlists, wait times, lineups, everything is getting longer and pushed back. I get what everyone feels.

Salam am a Muslim 16 year old and I lived in Saudi ever since I was one but moved to Australia at 11 because of how expensive the residence card was my dad lived there for over 20 years and mum for around 11 and we viewed it as a truly amazing country its very safe and people are very helpful and kind everything id also islamiclly led when you're walking in the streets you can litterly feel the islamic spirit am talking about 4/5 years ago I dont know about now but it was the best we used to go madina every eid mecca was close so we went when we could went roude trips around Jeddah and jizan its the best think about it your kids growing up in a society where there is no alchahol, lgbtq,dr**s and islamaphobs its a qiute exspensive place but its truly amazing. You said it. Due to inflation here in Pakistan, my husband wanted to move to Europe or America. But I refused because of all the top reasons you mentioned. Alhamdulillah, he is convinced. Some people may not agree with me. But to me, living in an Islamic country, no matter how hard the conditions are, is a lot better than being afraid for the akhira of our present and future generations. InshaAllah. I don't know what's going on with the world, but the hate, the xenophobia and islamophobia are very real around here.
