People who run out of visa should leave, sure, but it's basic human instinct to try and stick to the better place. Also, if you don't bring value to the country, you will be the first victim of deportation. If you had a valuable skill or strong academic accolades you would not be kicked out, but because you don't, you are getting kicked out, which is more than fair when a country cannot house you without hurting its own population. Two sides to all coins. \nThat said, I see that while the anonymous hate towards immigrants was always there, this atmosphere has changed the humble and polite Canadians into angry ones in open. I think it is government's fault for bringing people here, so we should point our anger correctly. They made it so that I could not be employable in Canada. So I moved to the U.S. in 2005 and then some years later I moved permanently to the Philippines. Alright. The median age in Canada is 41years. That means in 20 years, majority of the population would be close to retirement, which also means that if a younger population is not 'brought in' it would be disastrous for the economy. There IS NOT a lack of housing in canada , there IS ONLY an affordability problem along with far too much immigration by volume and time frame . Our services and infrastructure (ie; transit services , health care , employment , realisticly affordable housing , finances , etc .) are no where near adequate to accomodate canadians even before the over populating of foreigners . They have been coming here and buying up all the affordable housing during , and post pandemic , with offers far above listed or fair market values , to push owners to sell without question or thought . Following this they stack multiples into these homes illegally and against code , to be able to take up all employment at wages that canadians can't survive on ,forcing them out of employment , homes or both . Once stable and trained to know that business operation , one of their people buy the business and no longer hire any canadians . YES ! TRUE FACT!! How is this accepted ? Coming to Canada and setting up your own little cultural cities at the expense of the native population is so offensive. They would never allow Canadians to do that in any other country.

Canada has been the down the road of high immigration in the past, erven in the face of housing shortages. This happened right after World War II. To deal with the shortage of rental housing stock then in the large cities, the government put demands on immigrants and refugees to settle in agricultural areas and small town Canada. But, it seems today that most immigrants just want to go to the already overcrowded cities, especially Vancouver, Edmonton, Toronto and Montreal. Rural Canada is now facing manpower shortages, but has a fair amount of housing, as many small towns have actually shrunk in population over the years. and could use the people. Immigrants assimilate better in small towns.

I have lived in Quebec, Ontario, Manitoba and now Alberta. Toronto was beautiful in the 60’s and 70’s then it started to change to what is now overcrowded, expensive and crime ridden. I would not choose it anymore. Winnipeg, Manitoba in the mid to late 80’s was lovely. People were polite especially in winter, when driving was challenging, friendly and it is very cultural. People would say it would be the best city in Canada if it was in the mountains. Now I live in Edmonton, Alberta a dirty city with a council that puts high priced, unaffordable recreation centres ahead of services that would benefit everyone. Now they want to increase the population to 2 million when it can’t afford to sustain the existing population of 1,568,000. The taxes this year have risen to 8.9% and house prices are expected to increase 6.5% for an average price of $458,000. I lived in Calgary, in the Fish Creek provincial park area close to the C-train and a good bus service to downtown. 45 minutes from the mountains and Kananaskis, great zoo, vibrant downtown and if it is not much more expensive than Edmonton and is ranked 7th best city to live in worldwide. To compare the 2 cities, Edmonton tries to be world-class but just doesn’t have what it takes. The people seem to have very little pride in their city, the parks are a mess of weeds which also grow wherever there is green space and they very possibly have the worst and rudest drivers in the country. Very sorry if this offends anyone.

The real question is Canada vs Florida because the U.S. consists of many mini countries that have agreed on a common constitutional document and basic laws but otherwise are different countries. With that said Canada loses on every metric that matters to Florida. From economics to taxes to business to self defense and personal property Florida wins. So... you invited Canadians to tell you what their favorite province is, received a few thousand responses among 38 million people living in Canada, and that's the justification for your ranking. I hate pulling rank here, but as someone who has a PhD in population survey design and has been doing research and written countless research articles on this, I think your surveys are completely uninformative and likely have zero basis in truth.

This is plain and simple. There are not enough places for rent. For both Canadians and a never ending population growth from outside canada that outpaces building. \nIn three months they cannot and will never be enough places built for rent to justify bringing over 430 000 people.\nSo based on that alone those newcomers will be taking a place for rent away from a Canadian citizen. It's not racism, it's not discrimination. It's fact.\nCanadian citizens or any citizen of any country should not have to struggle to find a place to live and be able to afford a place to live because the governemt increases the population from outside faster than they can build. Canada’s statistics are no different than Australia, USA and France for example in terms of homelessness and home ownership. They let in near a million people in Canada in just the last year. He has let in over 9 million since October 2015. That’s over 1/5 of our population in just 8 years

Our housing crisis is caused by the governments of Canada\n 1st they started obstructing the building of new houses with these massive years long processes to get the permits\n Some cases 5 to7 years\n The development permit to build a development cost more than it does to build the buildings.\n At the same time they have been bringing in a million people a year.\nWhile this government and all of the other governments for the last 40 years have obstructed industry from getting permits to build anything.\n The middle class is all but gone in Canada and no sign of it to return because you can't do anything you're not allowed to do anything.\nCanada historically had no real homeless population and had the strongest middle class today we have near 500,000 homeless.\nOr you could say about 3% of the population.

Around 25 yrs ago, I almost emigrated to Canada.\nGood lord, G7 countries, one by one failing, eh? England, Canada tops the list. What happened? No more land grabbing prospects? No more slavery? Asians are smarter?\n\nSo much land, minerals etc and a small population and still don't know what the heck to do? Pathetic!?

wrong in April 2021 our population was 38 million. today the population has exceeded 41 million, with over 2million being immigrants. that housing projection was needed BEFORE those immigrants came to Canada. not by 2030.

This is very ignorant. I understand that there is a very huge minority population in the community. However, these people were brought through by the policies of the Federal Govt. for the benefits of the Canadians. They play an essential role in providing and working in service industries, that white people dont want to work in. And as a promise of the multiculturalism in Canada, it is right of every person on this land to look any way they want, practice what culture they want etc. And the idea that this video presents as being white is what Canadian is very ignorant to the Natives of the land. Canada is of the natives and not white people. Remember at one point, white people were migrants to the country, did not adopt to the native culture and populated the area.

I love that we are transforming Canada into a space for fellow South Asians. As soon as we start expanding our population and slowly introduce our culture and way of life, it'll be a safe haven for people like us. So make sure to only vote for South Asian politicians who have South Asian's interests at heart, vote for politicians who will implement our culture and way of life so that we can freely live how we lived in India.
