I have lived in Canada my whole life and I used to be proud of my country but the last 20 years I have lost that feeling no one should have to work the kind of hours we do here just to pay our Bill's and paying into our pension plan knowing we have to go to 70 to get our full pensions and still won't have enough to servive. The cost of living is so high that both parents need to work to live. It's hard to have kids when mom and dad are both working full time jobs, barely getting by and day care is also expensive. We need to incentivize kids to pursue trade jobs instead of dancing on tik tok. We also need to protect traditional Canadian identity. Immigration at that rate will rapidly change our demographics with people from cultures very different from Canada's. We will no longer have common holidays that all Canadians celebrate. At a time when Internet was at its infancy and not available to all, I had researched, applied (snail mail), and came to Canada in 1995 as a foreign student and attended a public college for 3+ years, including co-op. This was 27 years ago and it surprises me that with the wealth of information at our disposal today, there are folks who are still being taken for a ride. I feel sad for these students and their parents, but if you truly want to have a full-fledged Uni / College experience in Canada, then stay away from these for-profit private colleges; apply to a school of repute.

The problem with Indian people is that despite their hard work and dreams for good, their energies are misdirected without concerns that there are laws, rules and expectations in other countries that are different then theirs. I remember a time when the cost of living in Canada was much more affordable. I also remember a time when we didn't wait so long to get our free healthcare. The healthcare issue started many years ago when some old Conservative dude was in charge and he decided the best way for us to save money was to take it out of the healthcare funds. And then everything went ?with our healthcare. The cost of living was always high but it was balanced with our incomes. But it just absolutely ridiculous since Covid! Facts are in 2021 Canada welcomed over 400 thousand new permanent residents. We printed over 400 billion dollars in the last two years. The average time for a permit to build a new house is over 6 months. What I don’t understand is that we welcomed all the new immigrants while in a housing crisis if a hotel is full do they still keep renting rooms? We printed 400 billion dollars to pay for Covid where if we would have just used masks and washed our hands we could have saved 400 billion dollars. I'm not 100% regretful living in Canada. I managed to get a full time job even without going to College or University. The more money you make, the more taxes you are going to pay. You have many opportunities if you are not lazy. Prayers work all the time. Just enjoy what you have and not be so materialistic, you will survive if you have faith in yourself. Spend less and save for rainy days.

While visiting North Dakota we decided to cross the border for no other reason than to set foot in Canada. We got the full treatment. If I had realized it was such an involved process I would not have bothered them. Much easier crossing the border into Texas. This is an amazing thoughtful video. Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs explains so much of what people go through despite knowing all that could go wrong. I have a cousin who was in a small government job in Pakistan and got Canadian immigration. He kept delaying his move and eventually never moved to Canada because he realized how hard it will be to start all over again. Now he is so thank full that he never made the move. His case proves the proverb that one in hand is better than ten in the bush.

I’m embarrassed to admit that I had no idea there was slavery in Canada. As a kid, I remember taking school trips to points along the Underground Railroad. This gave me the impression that Canada was a country that slaves could escape to, to find freedom. It’s astounding and distressing that we are not taught the full truth of history.
