It's terrifying to see all these 3rd world people wanting to desperately INVADE our country.

I am currently crafting lessons and opportunities for my people to take advantage of this situation .... We need to see it as an opportunity wrapped in challenges....

I've been to the states many times! My opinion is that Americans focus on wallets more than social issues! Americans care more about their own circumstances than working together to help the whole of the population. No one likes to pay more taxes but they are a nessesary evil to be able to pay for health care, public security, and so on! So sure Americans don't pay as much for some things but pay more for things that they shouldn't pay! Health care is something that is very important, how can you be expected to pay for health services if you can't work cause you're ill, doesn't make any sence! Even Americans leave thier country because of what it's becoming! 50- 100 years ago everyone wanted to immigrate to America or Canada, now a days everyone is immigrating here to Canada. Should I have to explain why! It's sad but the U.S.A isn't what it used to be. Mostly because of corporate greed and the influence it has on the gouvernment! Just look at how Trump is running things. A country isn't a bussiness, it's a people, without the people a country is nothing. Too bad Trump and his billionaire butt licking friends can't see that!

As I see most assume that people being here illegally means they must have entered the country illegally. There is no way they were already here for like 9 years created a life abided the law and was late on a form or an error occurred. Purdue Pharma also helped create the demand by pushing highly addictive opioid drugs and lying about it to people. Those people they hooked didn't suddenly disappear. It created a chain that we are still seeing today. They would rather put a bandage on the bleeding wound than cough up the money and the actual will to start solving the crisis that is driving people into drugs. Like lack of affordable housing, once people lose that safety and are on the street drugs end up providing a relief from their situation. Lack of any meaningful mental health care, or any health care at all. There are underlying things that aren't getting solved, people will always find new ways to find or make drugs whether those drugs come from other countries or just created inside the US.

Honestly everyone is to blame. Canada and Mexico have both been riding the American gravy train for decades and never got slapped by any of the former presidents. And now that a president who puts the US first comes along everyone acts like America and our president is in the wrong. Just because something wrong was allowed to happen for so long that doesn't mean it was right. So two things these tariffs will do to Canada. One your economy isn't exactly stellar right now. Two Trump just has to pump up the pressure further and Canada will fold. It's that simple. As for Mexico they are squarely attached to America's teet. They need us WAY more than we need them. They will fold. And during negotiations we will make them ok US military operations on the Cartels. All people see is the word tariffs and don't think about the strategy behind them. Tariffs are a tool to apply pressure and gain leverage. Canada and Mexico would do the same if they could. So lets stop with the pearl clutching.

Maybe I shouldn't like this but I do. Firstly, Canada has the luxury of not really needing to protect itself, they get to spend 3% what the US does on their military so they can focus on other things, like letting immigrants into the Country to price out the native Canadians and jailing people for misusing pronouns. Also, I want to see the US become slightly more isolationist, I'll happily pay more for US products. A tariff is paid buy the businesses who attempt to pass that cost down to the consumer. We need tariffs high enough that making things in the US makes more sense to these businesses.

Americans don’t seem to understand that all the “cool things to do and see in the USA” you don’t need to actually live in the USA to enjoy those we can just get on a plane and fly to those places for vacation just like Americans do. Your number one concern as a member of the untied states armed forces is the safety of American lands and its citizens. Mind boggling to me that there are Americans defending this crap. Seeing as how I'm from a city that's been severely affected by the Venezuelan crisis I'm glad to see them go. I don't care where just as long as it's not here and especially not on my dime since they've done nothing more than mooch off of us Chicago taxpayers at the the of 1 Billion dollars over the last several years. Every generation will have a very different life if they grew up in any metropolitan place. My grandfather came to Vancouver 1896. His family of five lived in garages while he built houses. No communication with the outside world. My father went to war in 1940's and experience things many will never see. He worked in Vancouver his whole life. My generation saw the first home computer, cell phone and color TV. and the internet was born. I was always taught hystory in school. My kids tell me , they don't know how people lived the last 100 years other than first nations people, and historical figures. Its not taught. They have no idea how people struggled to survive. My kids and their friends are fascinated by the pictures I have from the past 120 years in Vancouver. People now want everything. They are not willing to sacrifice life style. Even my own kids feel this way. Luckily i taught good values and work ethics to my 3 daughters , so they are very successful.

I'm reading.\n Some of the comments. I know my opinion may not matter. But it may eh inside some people. I hope I guess the way that I would look at this is being in their shoes. It's completely different than ours. We are given opportunities from birth. Basically to common deer, the life that we would like to have well, at least most of us are.
