Canada is already owned by USA. All our major businesses are American owned. We even sold our Fighters Jets, oil, lumber and natural resources for pennies. The Canadian people need tax cuts. The native Canadians live without clean water in Reserves all across northern Canada in third world conditioms. All the goverment projects go to mafia groups who run the construction industry and tied to federal governments. Who is the bad guy? I dont know...but we the peasants pay for it while they steal and shift it to us.

As an American, I do not at all blame Canada’s response to trump’s irresponsible and embarrassing behavior. I know this will affect me, but I side with Canada completely. I just hope these next 4 years pass quickly and we can get a more reasonable administration into power.

It was dumb for you to shut down every project that Alberta had to work with other provinces and trade with other parts of the world. Build products that other countries want at a price that makes sense. The EU has no laws that prevent American car manufacturers from selling their cars in Europe. American car companies make shitty cars. They make cars that are too big, that don't make sense for European where streets can be very small and gas is very expensive. The US manufacturers don't make a single small car in thos country that can compete with European cars. US agricultural products are laced with poisonous chemicals that are outlawed in the EU because they kill people. Our governmeent doesn't give a shit about that because to grow healthy food means you have to cut profits, almighty dollars, instead of grow things that the rest of the world will accept. We have an idiot for president who thinks he knows more than anyone else and an idiot party that won't tell him the truth. This is going to cost us big time. We are going into recession, probably a long one because we don't have real leaders and the president on his best day is nothing more than a reality TV personality, and not a very entertaining one at that.

As a 66 year old Canadian, never in my wildest dreams could I ever imagine the USA as an enemy to Canada. I know it's not all Americans and my heart aches for them, but the relationship is permanently damaged beyond repair. Canada and Mexico are not responsible for the people in the US who chose to use drugs. As far as alcohol exports Canada exports over 600 million dollars to the us while the us exports 255 million to Canada. Both countries lose. But this does highlight the trade deficit between the two countries. 63 billion dollar trade deficit with canada is enormous. I don't know what the solution is, but i know this will be painful for all.

I don't know why the US government wants Canada. Logically speaking, it will be the bluest of blue states. Think of the consequences. Annexation could be the biggest of own-goals.

As an American, I don’t watch CNN clips and believe what politicians say on either side to get my news. However, it’s absolutely true that EU, and China places tariffs on the US. It is also true that United States provide most of the security for all the free nations. At what point do we say enough? I do not know if Mexico or Canada has tariffs on US goods before this. But if they did, they have become quite entitled, haven’t they.

Im so proud to be Canadian. I will take as much hardship to protect our beautiful Canada. Im buying only Canadian products and from countries that stand with democratic principles.
