That's very interesting. I've lived in South Korea for the past 35 years and, in many ways, have enjoyed a privileged life here. After the COVID outbreak, II quit my job and traveled all around the world, including 1yr staying in Toronto. During that period, I experienced firsthand the inflation and social challenges Canada was facing. After much thought, I came to the same realization as you—I need to leave my home country. Ironically, I’m about to move to the very place you're leaving.???I admire your courage in embracing this new challenge and hope you find a place you'll truly love. I’d like to share a humble opinion I’ve thought during my travels and followed news from everywhere. The surging housing price, cost of living, homelessness, social unrest, and immigration concerns are global issues, particularly in so-called developed countries. I believe these aren't just problems unique to Canada but part of a wider systemic issue. Every society is attempting to tackle these problems in its own way. There's no perfect haven, so it’s crucial to consider whether a society's approach to solving these issues aligns with your own values. Loyalty to the country that provided you with all your needs and protected you to grow up happily is not to leave it when things start to get worse. I am leaving the big cities and moving to a smaller town for the rest of my life. Good riddance Calgary, you leave a lot to be desired these days. I have to spend all day tomorrow on the train, and I'm not looking forward to it for obvious reasons. Indian international students came to study but won’t leave Canada and demands for permanent residency

The problem I have with Indians is that they dont like Canadians, make no effort to learn the language and culture, are very rude, entitled and disrespectful towards anyone that dont look like them. Then why are you here in Canada? This is a very multicultural country, which is something they obviously knew before coming here. They treat us Canadians with such hatred, disdain and indifference, especially in the workplace. Indians are always playing the victim and throwing the race card around or just protesting around every corner, every damn week when something doesn't work in their favor. If you're that damn unhappy here in Canada, you're free to leave anytime. And many Indians in Managerial positions will only hire other Indians, even though a lot of them aren't quality for the job or their English is very poor. Canada has always been very excepting and tolerant towards different ethnicities, but that's because they've always put in the effort of getting to know and learning from us.

What are they protesting for? Canada is not their charity. Especially, if Canada doesn't want them, they should leave.

It is the oddest and dumbest thing to protest in a country you're not even a citizen of. If you are this unhappy that you are protesting, you are supposed to pack your bags and leave. Protesting should be reserved to people born and raised in that country and would like to see effective change. There is no benefit for non citizens to stay in Canada for Canadians.

International students get 3 years of work permit after studies. Skilled students get a job in their profession, gather enough points for PR, and get the Permanent Residency. Students with no/less skills don't qualify for PR and they have to leave. This has been the law since always and hundreds of students return back home upon expiry of their temporary status in Canada, but now students from Punjab, India with no professional skills, want to get PR by protesting.

How would you feel if traditional Canadians took over India, changed Indian culture, complained about Indian ways, made demands to be treated better than Indians. So there's been an increase on Indian vs Indian crime. The reason being, that the Indian people who came here in the 1900s are established and for so long, hoodlums/Indian government couldn't access them and their wealth or opinions about India. But with the laxed immigration, the hoodlums, who otherwise would have no access to Canada, have been let into the country (think of all the recent intel issues between Canada and India). And they are carrying out random attacks against the former Indians, but now Canadian citizens (and their businesses) that have been citizens for well over 40 years. (apologies if this reads poorly)\n\nIt speaks volumes for me to say that as a Canadian (born and raised) whose parents are of Indian descent, that we feel unsafe because Canada has let in the low of the low, who cannot be trusted, and who have poor morals and no work ethic, hence why your order at Tim Horton's always gets messed up. Between these students and the temporary foreign workers and the illegal immigrants, Canada's social programs are bursting at the seams. Some of them have no shame in using our food banks and bragging about it online. They are supposed to be living independently. I have seen students bringing their parents and relatives to Canada on visit visas and they were working illegally in big corporations and leave every 6 months and come to continue that! While some Canadian citizens aren’t able to bring their parents for life events such as having a new baby (like me)!!!
