Allowing foreign buyers to purchase houses while NOT living in Canada was the trigger that started all this. Canada receives WAY TOO MANY immigrants per year. The system cant adjusts fast enough. This drive the demand for housing and for rents. \nCanada needs to close access to land/house to foreign buyers, stop investment visa, and cease immigration for a few years until the system catches up to the demand.\nY'all leave Canada and won't ever give up your Canadian passport in case things go south in your new country (also visa privilege).

If you’re me, I would definitely move to the USA but there are not that many Muslim people and other does not go off so I would recommend living in Islamabad ?? I know of many families leaving because of exact same reasons, including how the gov handled covid and lockdowns. No one has ever regrette their decision to leave. They are much happier. The only thing that is better in Canada is you can get large plots of land, e.g. 50 acres with a home. That is difficult to find elsewhere.

Interesting about the islamic atmosphere, I live in England and there are so many Muslims around me, I even hear they calling to pray once a day but I don't see a Christian atmosphere even though it's said to be a protestant country but for sure there's a Christian atmosphere back home in Brazil.\n\nI absolutely love living in Europe (Ireland and England) but I do miss this atmosphere from Brazil and my culture that 1000% I want my kids to have.\n\nI have the exact same opinion about things that are being taught at school that goes against my believes and i know many Christian parents are making the change to homeschooling and i might do the same when it's my turn.

We've made hijarah a couple of times. Currently in the UAE. Its ok, the masjids are a bit 'meh' in terms of spirituality and community. It is very easy to pray though, prayer rooms at all the malls and many petrol stations. Regarding Palestine, you'd probably be more disapointed with what's happening in the masjids here than in Canada. I was suprised to see how open they are with things like Victorians secrets stores and some of the clothes shop maniquins have crazy big boobs with visible nipples so theres an element of seediness that's well established. I respect your decision to leave Canada. You have to do what is right for you and your family. I am not religious but I believe that all peoe have the right to believe as they choose. I also find that Islam is one of the most peaceful, loving religions there is. I too am very unhappy with my government for standing by and supporting the genocide of Palastine. I support President Biden and he has done many wonderful things but the support Israel by my government and president makes me infuriated. It is wrong. My now 19 year old son,my mother who lives with us and myself are looking to move as well. We want some place with winter so we can sky, and snowboard and do all things we love without having to travel two states over. It's so sad, because it is such a huge, beautiful country. And you know, in the USA, we grew up watching things, and reading things, etc that weren't even Amercian, but Canadian, and mostly not knowing it. So many beloved things from Canada. We did also feel like they were happier, and more pleasant than we were. But I have many friends up there, from all Provinces, and they all have the same complaints. Thing is, they are the same complaints about the USA also, but just things like crime in the USA is notably worse....I used to live in the UK also, and that was better, but still not brilliant. The west as a whole is falling apart, and there are reasons for that, reasons that are being mostly ignored, so it will only get worse I'm afraid, unless we start demanding that they know longer be countries that cater to only the rich. Where only the rich can thrive.

How about our soldiers, majority of our soldiers are Hindus and Sikhs, they are protecting India and it’s citizens. I am a Canadian and I am puzzled by many of the claims you make. First housing price will vary a lot depending if you are in Vancouver, Toronto or Quebec City. Where I live, in the greater Montreal area, it's not difficult to buy a house if you have 2 median salaries. You say healthcare is expensive ?? It's mostly free (paid by our Taxes) and there are a lot of jobs posted. Almost all companies have a very hard time recruiting as there are very few candidates. The only thing I will give you is grocery price which is indeed expensive. Ultimately I agree that Canada is not great but where would I go ??? U.S. , Western Europe or every where I can think of is even worst in most respect.

Many of the issues you bring up are the same here, but I am willing to deal with those over the impending chaos we are seeing down here. I am an American living close to the border in Buffalo, but I am considering a move to Canada due to the political climate down here. I would rather pay a little more in taxes & gas than deal with the Christian Taliban we are heading for. The Canadian housing market can be fixed, food prices can come down, but once you start losing rights, it's time to consider your options. When I (a straight white guy in his 50's) can see the writing on the wall, it's getting close to time. That being said, living in a state (New York) that will fight the incoming stripping of our rights, will buy us a few years. I can deal with all the other things (high housing costs, soul crushing medical debt, overpriced college, & out of control gun violence), but we are way too close to a civil war for my comfort. I travel up and down the east coast and don't believe what they are saying, we are way too close to a pre-WW2 Germany situation for anyone to feel safe. The amount of gun owners threatening violence is very concerning.

That is a obvious thing that if you are doing good in your home country then why would you leave it? Why for your children? If you can do good then why cannot your children do good as well. There is something wrong in your home country that is why you fear that your children won't be able to do good their. People now days think after moving to a new country they should be able to live the same way and work at same position within 2-5 years on what position they were working in their home country. Which was never the case before. People who came in 70s,80s,90s it took them close to a decade and for many even more to reach some form of stability and it is the same now. You are starting from scratch when you move to a new place. \nComing here, making a life here, still living here and praising your life back home is not the solution. The solution is if you do not like it here you are have your home country to always go to. Simple.

as a Canadian who is highly educated and, your list is totally on point. I was born and raised here, and at 40yo I would say that leaving has been on my mind for the past 5+ years and will be the likely scenario for me once my grandparents are no longer around. If it weren't for them, I would have left years ago. The two primary drivers for me are job opportunities and the government. One thing I will correct is the wages you presented. The vast majority of Canadians, regardless of whether they were born here or not, do NOT make 6 figures and even the high 5 figures is not as common as people like to think. I have been turned down for work because of being over-qualified more times than not and now struggle on less than 50K/yr with 2 jobs. Just trying to get a part time gig to supplement is a problem despite my decades of experience. As someone who is single, one income just does not cut it here no matter how frugal or minimalist your life is. I can't imagine what its like for those with families. Plain and simple, this country, like many, is failing.

I wonder if the reason so many in so many places believe that medical care is a problem is actually a matter of expectations. I know that in the 90s, my little town in Kansas had as many imaging machines as the entire country of Canada, but Canadians were certain they had superior medical care, as did the English. Expectations.\nEven then, if something was so bad that only a silver bullet treatment would possibly help, they still send patients to the USA because they are not equipped to help. Quiet management.\nBut basic medical, especially if you don't have much money, was traditionally better in England. I don't think Canadians had choices, but the functional reality was similarly better than in the States. Expectations.\nFor some time, Americans have had a sense that miracles are practical things that happen all the time, just pull out all the stops to keep grandma in agony another week. This has been reinforced by the civil courts. It is dangerous to be a doctor who does not recommend EVERYTHING be done to prolong life, even miserable life. Expectations.\nA century ago, there were no significant differences in expectations amongst developed countries because the expectations, based on the technologies of the day, were the same. Plus, there was only so much that could be done, so the total costs of everything were predictable and could be paid for publicly or privately less angst or disappointment. It's also a good bet that there is a mismatch between expectations and available resources. Broken system.

I'm American and I have met many (hostile) Canadians over the past 20 years who do not hide their anti-American points of view. One thing many Canadians seem to think is that they are smarter than Americans and cite PISA scores as evidence. What most Canadians do not seem to understand, however, is that more than 50% of their HQP (Highly Qualified Personnel) which includes their engineers, scientists, and doctors, are from East Asia. These people are their #1 import, and with them they bring higher IQs and a culture centered around education. As for the US, unskilled/uneducated migrants from the Middle East, Africa and Latin America are our #1 import. All in all, White suburban Canadians and White suburban Americans are identical in terms of academia. And no Canadians, you are not 'bilingual' in that everyone speaks French in addition to English. Your government declares Canada bilingual because it names both English and French the official/national languages of Canada. A vast majority of Canadians, however, do not speak French fluently and the number of Canadians who do speak it is in decline. Simply Google it. It's all there.

These problems have gotten a lot worse in the last 8 years. I think the main issue is immigration. We are bringing in more people than what we can deal with. I am not against immigration, but just like all the other things the current federal government has done, they are doing immigration wrong. They think immigration is good, so tthey open the hose fully to bring in as many as possible. This is a bad strategy. They should be bringing in a lot less immigrants and that would lessen the housing issues. I think that this is destabilizing our economy to the point where it could have a dire outlook on Canada. I wouldn't be surprised if some provinces leave confederation. What we need is a balanced approach to all things governmental. Not a LEFT or RIGHT solution, a BALANCED CENTRIC solution. Time to vote differntly.

Playing politics with civilian lives. Evacuating civilians from an active war one is not only the most humanitarian thing to do, but it is the most human thing to do. We can argue about the symantics later, but the international community has a moral obligation to evacuate every non combatant from the area. Jeez, you're all brain dead with this. SOOO many bad things about Canada! I agree with you. In a nutshell: A terrible healthcare system (eternal waiting periods and no doctors), No jobs available (only if you want to work low paying security or fast food jobs), the worst climate on the planet, high cost of living, taxes and NO housing! Quebec also has a serious language problem. So leaving Canada makes PERFECT SENSE.

I immigrated to Canada in 1992 and I left Canada last year and moved to Spain. The best thing I ever did. Canada has become dictatorship under the Trudeau regime. Too many immigrants abusing the system and trying to make Canada like where they came from, particularly, East Indian and Muslims. They refuse to integrate and adapt to Canada.

Lack of housing and increased cost of living that is exceeding income growth seems to be a problem in many first world countries. In Canada we need to cool immigration until we have caught up with the housing needs of the people already here so its a good thing that people don't want to come here.

The fundamental problem in Canada is that is has too much government. Far too many bureaucrats attempting to do far too many things with the result that nothing is properly funded. Take healthcare: As you correctly point out we have far too few doctors and nurses and instead of trying to hire more the government has just added dental care and now wants to add pharmacare to the mix (each with an associated bureaucracy).

I lived in Toronto my whole life and there have been major ethnic groups co-operating to muffle other ethnic groups, a passive racist attempt of pushing certain minorities out. \nThen Canada's government had a bright idea and started bending down to three major powers, which heavily invested in purchase of lands (like it was a real life game of monopoly) while in rapid succession- building townhouses and duplexes (then ditching all of that and opting for condominiums as the ultimate seize all in property value).\nIt became unlivable starting around 2015 (because of a specific group of migrants that have been aggresively flooding in [I can say that because I am of that origin, but born here and aware of what THEY can do]).\nCanada started dying around 2006-2007 and her last breath was at 2010. There are too many idiots in serious, highly attentive occupations and it is a major risk for the future of Canada. Canada is not a free country as they advertise .... There are a lot of socialist behaviors by the government to control what you say and do. taxes are high, with many layers of tax on tax on tax then user fees for most things. Not sure what will become of this place with 3% of the population -> 1.2 million new people in Canada this year alone and plans to keep increasing that number. Canada will not be what it is today it will be something else similar to the mass migration waves into Canada 100 years ago.

For housing, something that needs to be and should be discussed is the land base. \nI know some real estate players in BC that laugh when people talk about housing and affordability, they say look at the landbase and who controls it. In BC its a crazy amount to 94% and only 5% available for ownership of the people. No option to apply and buy anymore and only lease. That is why even rural lands in BC 40 to 60 minutes outside of a teir two or three city is still thousands per acre! To the coast to coast to coast average its 88%+ controlled by governments and not the people. Do the math there and you will start to see the connection. \n\nAlso, for health-care, its not free just paid for through taxes by the governments on the people. It is broken in so many ways and most likley too big to fix kr repair now without a full ripdown and build up. \n\nMany orher things but just my initial points.

Basically, Canada decided to wear shoes way bigger than its size. Accommodating so many immigrants without any robust planning and management was a gamble that backfired the country. Rent will keep increasing as there is no competitive market. as many of the people in Canada are already operating carousel tax fraud. Look that up on W5 and Canada is doing nothing to stop this, guess where all the ones at the top of that carousel are from? As long as there are ones operating illegal business earning more than the average hard worker being able to afford higher rent the rent will not be decreased but keep going up. Saying that they are bringing in mostly younger people is a lie too, they bring in everyone. That our workers are aging out and there will be nobody to do the work. Let's think about this clearly, as the population grows we need more businesses, more schools, more produce etc... Fact we need the same amount of business for a community based on the size of the community I would think. In the 1800's a small school house was sufficient, a local convenience store was enough with a mail order catalogue etc.. As population grows you need more. We also now have self check outs etc.. We are cutting down Canadas number one resource trees to make way for more and more roads etc.. Having to spend more to change and widen roads, feed these refugees, support them till they get situated, house them for how long, educate, train them, and then hope they can actually adapt and not hate us etc.. Look around the world and not just in our own back yards i.e. what happened in NY today, look at Britain afraid to put up Merry Christmas not to offend or any Christian monuments. I love Canada and I love the fact its mixing so many cultures in together, but we just can't keep up at the current pace. Another thing lots of people have an issue with is the lack of diversity in the immigrants. Our services and lifestyles are being strained to the point where people are getting sick of it, put a cap on each country and only allow that cap to be broken for asylum seekers/refugees. This isn't a cultural/race issue either and people who say this shouldn't be called racist, I mean its honestly insane to call it racist when the very immigrants you bring in are making the same points.

There are essentially two major problems when discussing this issue. First and foremost, it is VERY difficult for anyone to even attempt to bring up an intelligent argument because they are instantly branded a racist, so many people just keep quiet, which is not healthy in a democracy. Secondly, when examining the world as it is today, the inescapable fact is that the nations with a high standard of living and a truly democratic system simply cannot sustain the rest of the globe!! It's simply a numbers game, if we gradually permit the rest of the world to bring it's problems here, the outcome is predictable. I'm sorry but I feel that it's a terrible thing when I go out and almost ALWAYS notice that I am a minority. I don't care what your politics are, that is just wrong. And the aspect of that is most unfair? The countries where these people came from would NEVER allow that to happen. In fact, most often we are not welcome in those countries at all!

In 2004 I wrote a somewhat famous article called 'Top 8 reasons not to immigrate to Canada'. In short, the Canadian authorities tried to destroy my life. They made it so that I could not be employable in Canada. So I moved to the U.S. in 2005 and then some years later I moved permanently to the Philippines. I am happy that so many years later videos like yours are saying essentially the same things that I did. I was ahead of my time. I will never go back to Canada. Not to live, not to visit, not even a connecting flight. Too cold, too expensive, taxes are astronomical, no freedom, no jobs, no opportunities, xenophobic people, too depressing. It has become the North Korea of the western world.\n\nTheir are many reasons why Canada has fallen apart. But the number one reason is ‘multiculturalism’. My friends, multiculturalism simply does not work. Different cultures do not come together and mix, different cultures come together and clash. The world is divided into different countries for a reason: because people hate each other and only want to be with their own kind. The number two reason for Canada’s demise is ‘socialism’. In this modern era of aging populations, it is mathematically impossible for socialism to continue. The government does not have the money to take care of old people and provide healthcare, pensions and the various other benefits, even with the astronomical taxation that burdens hard working Canucks. Good solid takes on life in Canada as it stands in the larger cities. My family immigrated in the late 80s when I was a young child to YYZ and the housing prices and quality of living was really solid back then. We moved to YVR in the late 90s and prices seemed to be pretty stable as well. Think things started to change shortly after my undergrad years in the mid 2000s. Unfortunately, the government wanted to increase immigration which is great, but forgot to build out the transportation infrastructure and develop the health care system properly. Foreign credential recognition is really the biggest bottleneck for newcomers. Newcomer employment expectations and what is available to them is not really matching up, I know this first hand as I've worked in the employment enabling sector. Weather as you mentioned is subjective, I prefer the cold, clean crisp air here in Canada, I don't do well in the hot humid polluted weather in most East and Southeast Asian countries. Crime has definitely been on the rise as many people around me have had personal experiences with this topic. Finally housing, to live comfortably in YVR a family income of 150K is probably bare minimum these days.

As a born and raised Canadian I can tell you I agree things have changed \nMy pros and cons\nPros - clean, low crime, multi cultural, subsidized but declining healthcare, lower cost tuition for Canadian citizens compared to USA, polite but not friendly people \n-\nCons \n- bad weather for many months of the year. Lots of gloomy rainy and snowy days \n- high cost of living. Rent, housing taxes , heat are all high and rising \n- competitive job market especially for immigrants \n- \n- we are polite but not friendly or personable \n- most incompetent government in G7 \n- government trying to add censorship bills

At the end of the day we are all trying to improve our lives. Some will make it further than others. In the grand scheme of things Canada is not that bad at all. You can do a video like this for any G20 country and you will find good reasons. What's important is we have choices and we can choose. Many do not have that privilege.

We have metros, good buses both AC as well as non AC, good trains, good resturaunts, hotels, what is it that we don't have here?\nIt is always better living as a first class citizen in our own country, than living like second class citizen elsewhere. The attraction and the charm of living abroad is no longer there.\nOur country has improved so much and so fast in the last 10 years, we have good bathrooms in schools and other public places, which was not there previously. Only drawback in our country is the traffic and infrastructure, which will also become better, but will take time, because of our country's population.\nIn fact you will find servants and watchmen all coming to work in a bikes or scooters, which was unthinkable some years back. Their life has changed for the better, they live in rented flats/or on lease, their children study in good schools and so on, and they dress also so well, that you cannot differentiate between them and the people they work for.\nMany of the so called advanced countries do not have many well educated people like our country, the children there are not as knowledgeabe like Indian kids, their knowledge is limited to the town they live in, they don't know anything about the world outside.\nAnd now with the Khalistani terrorist living freely there it is all the more dangerous. As a Canadian who has lived in almost all the provinces and territories, all my life, I can tell you that a lot has changed as I think the best time or era was in the 1970's and you may have come at the worst time as the worst appears to be now when everything has become too expensive. The other problem relates to Canada, its size, the distances to travel, the smaller tax base with a smaller population than that of United States or India. This is not intended to provide excuses but most people here do not even have a family doctor as many doctors find greener pastures in the United States where the dollar is 30 percent higher in value and salaries are not limited to government health care. It is hard to change when American influence dictates much of what transpires. Homelessness hasn't been a problem but the last five years has provided more hardship for many who find it hard to cope with how things have become.
