Immigration technically is an asset for a country like Canada, however the open door policy turned that asset into a liability. When you have a migrant community congregate into ghetto like fashion, you know your policy has failed somewhere. Psychologically speaking human would naturally gravitate towards people they have similarities(language, color, likes & dislikes, etc) with and congregate as a "tribe" for warmth & security. Just put one white person alone in the middle of an Indian market at rush hour, i promise you they'd run to the first white person they spot for "security", now tell that one guy that he has to live in India for the foreseeable future and that he has a choice of living in any area of that city and he learns that there a part of town where most of the white people live, where do you think he'll go?

Immigration has increased because the government needs more people for the economy. The population 25+ years ago was enough to keep with the costs and demand. Now, Canada probably has a lot of demand and needs an influx of people both for education and jobs. Indians are enticed to come because they hear about towns that cater towards Indians like Brampton. Chinese people used to be the majority of immigrants and that was because Chinatowns would cater to them. Not to mention, these immigrants likely have temporary worker or student visas. These an whole thing with the student visas but I don't want to get into it. So Amazon and other large companies need a lot of workers for their demand and look outside of Canada to fill the job numbers. Meanwhile, Canadians that have been here for awhile are on the streets and jobless. So basically, Canada needs immigration for its demand but I think when too many people come all at once and from usually one country, Canadians will notice the change and feel the tensions that come with it.

This isn't immigration and assimilation. This is invasion. I think if you come to Canada, you are no longer a Sikh, Muslim, Indian etc. You're Canadian. There shouldn't be sub-cultures inside Canada. We shouldn't see people's skin color. If anything, we are MORE obsessed with skin color than we were in the 90s.

Call it what it is, it's not immigrants. It's Indian people period. They are everywhere dumping their 1.5 billion people around the world.

I have watched this video and i just want to say that indian people from Hindu and sikh or any other community except muslims will respect canadian culture and rules of Canadian govt. They are hardworking. I also request people from the community as mentioned above, please respect the nation and their culture and don't try to make Canada to India.

As someone who lived in Brampton for several years, I learned that in the Indian culture they must look out for their own first. As a Black person looking to rent a place, it was extremely disheartening (I’m experiencing racism from people darker than me?!). Eventually one landlord told me what was up - they must help their own people and essentially only rent to other Indian people. You see it in all the companies where you have an Indian hiring manager - they are biased to employing only their own. I was left no choice but to leave Brampton.

I am First Nations and I have been concerned about how the face and language of Canada has changed. The first thing we noticed in our small town was that the taxi companies were taken over by East Indians. Now days you are hard pressed to get a taxi anywhere in Canada and get a driver who hails from India. I used to like Tim Horton's until I needed an interpreter to make my order, one doesn't speak English so, she had to get another worker to take my order. You go into any 7/11 or any gas station, or convenience store. All are staffed by people from India. But, it isn't just Indians. There are many other immigrants coming to Canada from China, Japan etc. None of these immigrants do not speak very good English. I have faced prejudice from these people who do not recognize my rights as an indigenous person. Going for an xray, blood test the field is mostly Asian. I have to get cataract surgery and I couldn't understand the Chinese receptionist and had to spell most of what I said to her. That means their business is mostly with Chinese-speaking people. As a First Nations person my status will always be a minority. With every immigrant that comes to Canada my status as an indigenous person diminishes. Taking transit shows me that english or french are ever spoken. Canadians are the new minority.

There are about 800,000 Panjabi's in Canada vs about 2 milliom Chinese. In the 90's, when Springdale was built, Gujrati people moved to Canada influx. The character of Kumar from Harold and Kumar go to white castle, rishi Sunak, kash Patel, the people rubbing cow manure on them and other setero type are Gujrati. The Sikh religion are AGINST conversation of ANY KING. If you are Christian, the Sikh religion says to be the best Christian as possible! In the 90's the government of Canada STOPPED allowing Panjabi farmers to come to Canada and made way for the Gujrati HINDUS. In 1947 "India" was created, again, and parts of Afghanistan and Tajikstan was taken and created Pakistan. Where is the homeland of Panjabi people? Your grandfathers are ROLLING in their graves because of the disrespect of the Panjabi people! Go look up Sikhs in ww1 and ww2. There were 2 Sikh and Anglo-Saxson wars and Panjab was the HARDEST and LONGEST land to take (which was through betrayal and NOT battle - another story). (Stoping here - because you are retarded)

How would people in India feel if all of the sudden less than half of India was Indian people?

I’m a white American recently retired at 63. There are millions here and in Canada that are / will be collecting Social Security or the Canadian Equivalent. If we want those funds to be there in the future we absolutely MUST have immigration. In my family we had 11 girls born 1994-2006. Exactly 2 of these women are moms and they have 1 kid. That’s called population collapse. Any economy to continue prospering needs a continual supply of new workers paying taxes. White people ain’t doing it. Whether it’s Indians in Canada or Hispanics in the US, we need these people. These immigrant communities also practice the principles that made America/ Canada great. Faith family and community. Anyone heard of the recent trend in America of kids in their 20s-40s want to divorce their PARENTS??? Yeah it’s a thing. I bet there’s not a whisper of that garbage in immigrant communities. I’m all for it. We need these people. And that’s the plain truth.

Indian community, especially Hindus, who are deeply engrossed in superstitions and their religion are known for destroying the native cultures. Even many Indians who are other than Hindus, know their secret agenda but western countries remain completely ignorant and oblivion to Hindu style of working. In India also, they deliberately assigned Hinduism to every tribes, although truth is that many tribes (well known tribe is Jatt/Jat) in India have their own culture and they do not belong to Hinduism or any other known religions of Hindu, Muslim, and Christians. Hinduism is just construction of sanghi brahamins, who destroyed India oldest known dhamm budhism. Intially these so called Hindus show kindness and courtesy to the culture of foreign countries they go. Once they get settled there, starts spreading hate against other relgions and cultures. One day, I am sure that these people make western countries's societies worst than India. You will see the big heaps of garbage and polluted rivers in west. Westerners are destined to be destroyed because of lack of understanding about these people.

I agree with a lot of what the non-Indians are saying except, I wouldn't mind living in a place where the majority of people are Indian or non-white, as long as I am not targeted just because I am white and the crime doesn't rise. I actually would like it and have expressly wanted to be in areas of the city without other white Canadians. That's boring.

This is what happens when you only interview old, white boomers. I was just in Brampton for my cousins wedding (they’re Indian). The wedding had tons of young white, Indian, Asian, etc. people. Everyone was having a good time and having fun. Old people don’t change, young people adapt and live. For what it’s worth, Brampton was bustling, growing, and there was construction everywhere. It felt safer and definately was cleaner than any size city like that in the US. All the Indians I know there (my extended family) are engineers, lawyers, finance types, and doctors. One of my uncles got the Order of Canada - he lives in downtown Toronto though, very wealthy cardiologist now.

This is crazy. I am an Indian, and I fail to understand why so many Indians choose to live in other countries. For money? Don't they have any self respect or dignity? It us true that Germans, Irish, Italians etc did migrate to USA en masse, but they did it out of desperation, to avoid famines. Indians must understand, western people despise the fact that so many Indians living in their countries. They don't like you. They why? Come back to your motherland, and serve the nation.

What no one discusses is how incredibly racist Canadians have been towards Indians for the past 100+ years. Small town Canada has never been welcoming to people of color so inevitably immigrants started creating enclaves where they feel safe. Why does every city have a Chinatown? How have Canadians treated Chinese immigrants for the past century? There’s a reason why Richmond and Vancouver have large Chinese populations - because they feel safe in numbers. Whites have created the situation they’re now crying about by being inclusive and racist for decades.

Just asking how the indigenous people felt as a minority because of influx in f Europeans. And how does the Pakistan people assimilate by wearing hijab and demanding halal at every food joint. Please check which community has more kids for ccb and comes as asylum to every western country. And the Indian students who came probably didn’t get a chance in Indian colleges.

I can't tell if half of these comments are watching the same video as me. I understand there are issues with Canada's current immigration policies and certainly, purely by numbers, there are a lot of immigrants moving to Canada, but I'm genuinely convinced the people in the comments watched the first half of the video and then turned it off. So many weird comments, ranging from "they're bad drivers!" to "I moved away from Brampton because of this problem" (what problem?? Indian people??). In the second half of the video, all three of the religious buildings they entered had extremely kind-hearted people, with free food for ANYONE to enjoy. Again I understand things aren't perfect, but it would seem a lot of people are using "immigration policies are allowing immigrants in too fast" to justify their hatred of Indian people.

As an indian, i am seeing this in Australia as well. We are indian immigrants, and i include all from South asia. We are too racist, dont assimilate ansld are self righteous. High time such people are sent back. They are a disgrace to image of Bharat as well.

Not everyone is like that in my experience, I'm not from brampton but I'm sikh and I have sikh friends who are white and indigenous as well. One thing people don't realise is a lot of Canadians are actually really racist. You clearly saw that from the interview of the guy and his wife who was an RN, they passed the exam fair and square but I feel like his lack of understanding of the English language didn't get his point across right. The point he missed was the quality of life is higher in Canada, In India it's way easier, the cost of living is way cheaper, there's tons of cheap labour to hire maids for all your house work for example which is common in their culture, but as you've probably seen online, India isn't the cleanest or friendliest place to be, and if he was a nurse in India he would probably be broke without a good job, and having the opportunity to find good high paying jobs in something that Canadians also do when they travel to the US if a position in their field isn't available in whatever local city they grew up in. The main issue stems from international students from like after covid, regardless of country, India is in the spotlight because there's just more indians compared to other countries international students but its all the same stuff, you have kids from all over the world that might not have learned the same cultural practices, fresh 16-18 year olds living alone for the first time that have to do all their own chores and don't even know how to take care of themselves in some cases or do laundry or anything like that and it doesn't mean they were illegal immigrants or anything, just that they never put in the effort to learn because they were too entitled, its the same with entitled kids that go to Korea or Japan from north America as well that don't learn their culture and customs and misbehave because they are too entitled, and once you understand that you can see the bigger picture more clearly instead of just defaulting to racism. Also I'm not saying they can't be frustrated, its frustrating for everyone, even for me but racism isn't the answer.

Two hundred years ago, European culture became more prominent, but it was still a very different place from what we see today. Family values were strong, and who your family was often determined much of your future. Now, Canadian culture is changing once again. The arrival of Indian immigrants will inevitably influence Canadian culture, whether people like it or not. Some may try to resist—perhaps through a kind of “Trumpism”—but that will only provide temporary comfort. In the long run, Canadian culture will continue to evolve with the influx of newcomers. Today it is Indians; in the coming decades, it may be another nationality. The key point is to embrace change—and perhaps change ourselves in the process. For example, the rise in homelessness is tied more to social and economic issues than to immigration. Family structures among white Canadians are becoming less central in people’s lives, and religion is also losing influence. Parenting values are often shaped by fleeting psychology trends and “helicopter parenting,” leaving many children without the strong foundation they need. Perhaps there is something to learn from Indian immigrants about building families, fostering strong connections, and strengthening community ties. Thank you.

If you are not of their blood, you cannot be part of their nations and live among them in their communities. End of story. Want to talk about the British in India? Go ahead. Indians commit no crime, keep to themselves, and don’t damage public spaces. This video says exactly what I've been saying for years. I've lived in Brampton my whole life and im 40 now so I'll tell you its changed and changed for the worse. My car has been broken into atleast 20 times in 5 years and 3 months ago a older Indian man broke into our house and was wearing my sister's clothes sleeping in her bed. He went through all our stuff and even ate food out of the fridge. So violating and frustrating living in Brampton lately. I'm so ashamed to say im from Brampton and even indian people in other towns have made fun of me for living in Brampton and telling me how bad the driving is. Lol thanks buddy. 😢

Why are they so mean to Indians, maybe a subsector of them, There are Jews that do the same thing? Back in India from what I understand the British had messed it up psychologically for over 200 years so bad and people lost there wealth, the property from the famine, there culture had been ruined particularly in the north-eastern India, these Indians are not north-eastern. The issue with Canada is that, when Europeans came here, they didn't integrate with native Indians, didn't accept their traditions/lanuages but brought their own European culture/traditions and languages and named it as a Canadian Culture. The reason why Europenas were able to take over the whole Canada and impose English and French language is that European culture was strong, then brown/black/asian people are moved to Canada and they are brought their own culture/languages, but the brown culture really stood up and sustained because their culture was strong like europeans and more of them are still coming. the history is repeating itself because of politicians in power. People on the both sides are not willing to listen the other side, for example, citizens think that international students are creating the a here, doing cash jobs but they don't see that this coutntry that charged them $9k/term tution fees can't even provide them a job forcing them to work illigally and commit crimes, and on the other side Internation students think that citizens hate us because they are brown but big NO citizens are frustrated because they have no jobs and immigrants are not integrating themselves among other communities. Higher unemployment = higher crime = more = higher division among people, ALL THIS IS HAPPENING BECAUSE THE GOVERNMENT IS ALLOWING.

Thanks to all the Indians living in Brampton...All are hardworking people. This Canadian economy is surviving because of high education fees charged to International students, money they bring from their home countries ,they work hard in workplaces,hospitals,schools,retail,IT,manufacturing,government etc. ... Otherwise the so called mainstream bankrupt Cauca***n people dont even have money for retirement....Entitled lot dont want to work, they just want to make hateful videos and get attention. While they make such videos, Immigrants are focusing on working hard and getting ahead in life.
