Starting to feel Palki is biased towards India than being an honest journalist. Did you even bother to check why Indian visas are getting rejected in these countries? What the rejection reasons were? \n\nAs many have already commented, I will put across a list for Palki -\n\n1. Indians are Indians even outside India, well, what good are you if you do not wish to be integrated and become part of the society? \n2. Do not like to research, and instead ask questions to save time which is bad manners.\n3. Complaining is in our blood about everything.\n4. Be respectful and be considerate of others.\n5. If you are applying for a tourist visa, be a tourist and should return when the visa expires. Get a good insurance which most of the time people are not un-aware.\n6. If you apply for student visa, be a student and do not exploit the visa or violate any rules and extend your visa stay.\n7. If you are hired for work, honour the work permit rules.\n8. Last but not the least, be a good citizena and don't do anything which may spoil your countries' image.

Maybe they should tackle their own people for the drugs they spread all over the UK or the rape gangs that have raped their way through the UK!! This has to be addressed before the people of this country start to address it themselves ????

When you dont let people come in your house as people want then dont express your stupid analogy of have gates. If so why the heck you have borders on pakistan and china? Our own people are the reason why they have started rejecting visas. People come here in the name of education and then demand PR. Many come here with dodgy certificates for which some indian states are banned. Majority come here and dont assimilate but instead make their own country within a country even becoming citizens. If u r so proud why come here?

As an NRI, I love rejection of chapri Indians. These people bring bad name to the country when going abroad. Only qualified Indians who behave properly need to be accepted.

Why do people want to emigrate to a country, where layoffs are are the norm, mortgages can't be paid off, crime is rife and which is shortly going to descend into chaos? ? Those whose visas have been rejected should count themselves fortunate and do well in their country of origin - US dream is over.

It's easy to understand this. Indians love to leave their country behind and settle in New land. They bring with them some behaviors that are eye brow raising. Coupled with the sheer number of people that come from India, it feels like an infestation.

There is nothing wrong with rigorous checks. I would want the same for India as well. Vet who gets to enter the country! No one should get a free pass. Ultimately, visitors must benefit the receiving country in some way and not impose additional burden! Would you not want rigorous checks for people entering our country through neighboring territories such as Bangladesh, Nepal, and you-know-who? Thank goodness for border control. It preserves the rule of law throughout the world.

We should also start rejecting foreign person visas in equivalent proportions..especially when other countries are intentionally rejecting visas of good knowledgeable and well to do Indian people/ bright students. This is racism

Some comments are correct… illegal immigration is one major reason.. i feel population is so high, countries are scared what if all Indians go to their country.. and they don’t want poor brown people ?

People coming from some of the states in India such as Haryana, Gujrat, Punjab should be banned or scrutinized from traveling abroad, their only purpose to travel is to put refugee in other country and stay in other country illegally. There are many people who don't have proper documentation and also have fake documents, these people affects other genuine people who want to travel. Also the young people who just studied their intermediate or 12th class should also be banned from travel from the above mentioned states to travel abroad for studies. Moreover, People from these states don't know their manners in other country and don't know how to live or stay as per the culture of other country and fail to follow the basic manners and rules. I hate to say it but this is the truth.

It's more profitable for foreign countries to reject visa because people will try again, that just means easy money. If not then they at lest pay for the functioning of the Visa offices in India. So they don't have to pay fees to the visa interviewers, etc. It could also mean that rejecting visas is an incentive to the interviewers, hence they will make strict check before approving any visa because behind every approval they are losing money.

Too many people travel to Western countries and find themselves getting lost for twenty years and becoming the responsibility of the host country!

There is more illegal immigrant from India to west learn country than western people illegally immigrants in India. That why immigration has more question than when going for visa application because many people don’t return back even after visa is expired. So this give more question for west to give visa or not for Indian visa holder

All because of our Vishwaguru government policies. People are escaping from India. To these countries they are migrating illegal way and now country are not giving visa they don’t want illegal Indian migrants

It's a stupid report, obviously the visa rejection will be high if the visa applications are high from a most populated country in the world it's basic common sense , i would say India have the highest visa grant these days, I'm from India came to Australia it's not ecen harf if u have the right documents and if you're not faking anything, I'm pretty sure the rejections are mostly because of fake documents especially from Punjab and Haryana so it's good that they are not letting fake people i mean then what's the point of doing all this right way? Many people think that because they think that they are cleaver enough to circumvent visa interviews, falsify documents required to impress foreign embassy staff, get visa on false pretenses because they have money, connections in domestic government or someone overseas to curry favor them, then no wonder your visa application would be rejected and fees forfeited or you would be turned down entry to your dream country on arrival and deported back to your home country. People even dare to charter a flight to Maxico with a plan to cross the border and into USA, like a flash mob, without a visa. Well you don’t have entitlement for that, just like you don’t like Bangladeshi, Pakistani and Rohingya crossing your borders by any means.\nHow many Indian agents have befooled fellow Indians who want to go and work in UAE, Behrin, Muscat, Qatar, Oman, Jordan and Saudi Arabia but landed on one of the beaches of India or have their Passport taken away to make them work like a slave in servitude by their fellow Indian contractors? Sham marriages is one of many tricks that people pursue despite knowing that chances of success are really very remote. Let us talk about that.\n\nLet us talk about fake colleges that “donations” to admit “students” who failed to perform because their parents have money to justify entitlement to buy degrees and fake colleges print it out in return to “donations”?\n\nIt doesn’t end here. You get to these destinations by hook or crook, you eventually get busted, yet you have nerves to be cocky, pretend to be robbed, discriminated, cheated, victimized instead and gather nerve to seek PR, green card, white card as compensation and even a job? I mean how far you would go thinking world is stupid and you can prove it.\n\nSORRY, there are hard working, intelligent and qualified Indians that get visa and there are people who get visa on family migration quota for example but many others, give me a break.

Telangana, Punjab, Haryana, Gujrat (people from these states do most of the VISA scams)\n\nTelangana -- masters of H1B/OPT scams in US\nPunjab / Haryana - They will remain forever refugee.. Their mian goal is to enter any country illegally / with fake asylum application\nGujrat - Their main job is to open a grocery store

First of all . I am an Indian living in Australia. \n1. The way some of us are behaving in these countries is the worst . Instead of respecting their culture and laws, we start behaving in the same way as in India .\n2. I don't want to put it out, but some people from certain places have a ready solution even if the immigration change their rules . They know every means to cheat their way in. \n3. Take, for example, 200 people come from other countries and do nonsense in India. Will we allow them ? Noooo, right ... but right now, thousands of our Indians are damaging other countries, bringing all kinds of dirty activities we do in India .Unnecessary protests are just 0.1% of them\n\nThis is the best decision taken by the other countries and it should become more strict in the coming days

Stop acting like you don’t know Ms Sharma, visas for Indians are rejected mainly because when you apply for a tourist visa, most of the time you are not really visiting that country. You have plans to settle there. Many people do go to these countries as tourists but they know very well who seems like a tourist and who doesn’t.

The rejection rate is increasing as we Indian are going out at a pace which is greater than any of the given country especially if we compare ourselves with China. Second is the civic sense, we have little to no civic sense when we cant keep our own country clean. Third is the general sentiment in the host country, as we are highly skilled and take most of jobs, western people with their inferiority complex cant handle it hence ranking India in the 85th Position.

Indians are running away from India in bulk, the concept of Supply and Demand is applicable everywhere, the supply of Indians trying to run away from India is far more than the demand for these people in other countries..as an Indian I would like other countries to send all these people back to India, most of these people belong to the families of corrupt Politicians, Government officers and the Tax evading businessmen.?

The Central Govt should tell foreign embassies especially Western ones with steep visa fees that they can only charge the fee after the person receives the visa. If his application is rejected he pays zero. Charging steep visa fees and rejecting is equivalent to scamming people. Either you tell the person beforehand he won't receive visa. Also visa fees must be reduced as they are much higher in India than most countries.

The problem is fear that Indians will travel to the West and not go back. Not just Indians, but Africans, South Americans and many Asian countries do the same. I've lived in the US for 55 years. There was an Indian music troop that came to the US to perform, maybe 20 people, including singers, musicians, comedians etc. After their tour in the US, half of them did not return to India. They figured they can make a better living in the US and live here as an illegal immigrant. This is too common. The next time when a troop of musicians want a US visa, chances are the immigration office will think twice about approving a visa. I can travel anywhere with a US passport because people know that Americans will return back to the US.

Other than behavioural attitude it depends upon the how the country projects the image to the outside world. \n\nSecond reason, more the people settling abroad more the rejection. Less the people settling down in abroad more the visa. \n\nI lived in GCC for many years they give visa easily to Europe and the US because these people go for pleasure trip and come back not to settle down

I actually love this indian talent should stay in India and contribute for our country. Someone will say well pay is not good here there are no jobs here yes but rich indians should open their own companies here and be the job creators and yes government also needs to pay initiatives to these rich people so that they invest in India.

Well i don't blame those government making even harder for foreigners to access abroad.. \nSOME people that applying for visas have ulterior motive, and SOME tourist have so bad attitude and manners to the point the locals are just so fed up.. the the point it is even better for no tourist at all.. \n\nlets take some examples.. \nIndonesia, Bali.. Their sacred ground are mocked and used for nude photoshoot by drunk tourist..\nJapan, Kyoto.. They put a literal banned on all tourist that are visiting geisha district..\nItaly, Venice.. Venice over-tourism have made them surge price thus disrupting locals price, Environmental and cultural damage..\nthese are the few of the problem with mass foreigners coming into other countries..

The reason for Indian visa being in the 81st rank is the number of people who want to migrate....other countries cannot allow lakhs of Indians who wish to relocate to their country....on the other hand, countries like Kosovo or Burkina Faso are tiny countries by population and have a very low rate of migration to other countries....Indian large-scale migration can be seen as a threat by other countries....

Please Madame Palki, pay your taxes correctly to the government, talk about the corruption in India, and improve the purchasing power of all Indians and and then all the country in the world will open the red carpet for our Indians, a country with lot of multi millionaires but still lot of people suffering, please touch your heart and ask this questions to you.......

To abstract maximum benefits, India should stay in line with the trend & policy of the modern countries. Don't stick to stooges style & policies which other nations people don't like. Too much promotion of Bharat sentiments will deter money rich countries.

Indians are peddled this dream that everything outside is a heaven since early childhood. They see pictures of skyscrapers in Manhattan, London and Frankfurt and think everyone is living like that outside. These people are further brainwashed by immigration agencies and disguised human traffickers to put lakhs or even crores on the line for just going outside. They sell their lands, properties and other assets just to be able to go out pursuing a misleading dream.\n\nThis is a problem especially in states like Punjab, Gujarat, Telangana, Andhra and Kerala, where most of the people still believe that it's better living outside than inside. These are not people who don't have anything in India but rather well-to-do families that have homes and assets and families in the country. \n\nThen comes the added Western bias and negative media image through propaganda. \n\nIndia has much work to do - if the country keeps complaining, nothing will get done.

I am an Indian living in New Zealand, actually one of the biggest reason is the Visa scams Indians do especially from few states which has caused this issue. Also, the kind of people coming into the country, their no sense of comprehension towards the Local laws, culture and traditions.

Try other countries please, Canada has had enough of people from India.

So you seem to be blaming the Country denying Indians a visa. Break down the rejections. Indians like any other third world country are known to use these avenues to escape from India. Don't blame the countries for taking time to assess. Blame the Indian society/economics that is forcing people to exit the country. See what can be done to fix that first, so that people don't want to exit your motherland first.

Getting the visa appointment is hard because of how many people are trying to get out from here, just because everyone else is doing. I'll give up an example. For German national visa, the slots for next 2 months were filled in two VFS centres, ( which two states in India depends on) were filled in an hour. And a lot of those guys who go abroad, ruin the country they go to with their bs from India.

I live in Canada. A citizen now, love this country but India is and will always be a home. Canada is facing hard times currently, which is being faced by every country now and then but even the cause root of all these problems Canada is facing right now is coming from somehow from India. The most disruptive and disturbing people are here from India only with no civic sense. They come here and do not value the Canadian culture at all. They do all sort of illegal activities and try to do jugaad in everything, from which we escaped from India. Even on political grounds, the man who somehow messed up everything was under the influence and pressure of the man having Indian roots. I love India without a doubt but we can’t deny the real facts why Indians are being hated everywhere. People in my community here ( whites, First Nations, old Indians) love me and my family because they know how we respect the culture and values and laws of Canada. But there, where people don’t know us personally, we get judgemental eyes because of our colour and we know why, it’s not all of us, but still majority of us have destroyed the image of India and yes Indians deserve to be banned now. We need skills and knowledge and we should class apart from the stupid ones.

No one wants to live in India? Why? Because average person has no rights of enjoying a free life from the corrupt governments in every state. how about indians entering countries on visitor visas and staying illegally ... so 1st and foremost we need to mend our ways \nlot of people are after easy money or some fake illusion of luxurious life abroad without putting hard yards in ... fact is most of these idiots end up selling their ancestral properties or forcing parents to take unfavorable loans in search of their world of fantasies .\nMy advice to all such people skill up and work on yourself you will be able to live your life with dignity irrespective of where you are either in India or abroad . I also agree with this. \nI am New Zealand citizen with 23 years in this country! \nNew Zealand immigration is rejected my uncle's visa we already sponsor. \nImmigration officer rejected without asking any one question we already plan with our family reunion and show my kids to the family roots families more important. They only want to come for 2 weeks!!!!\nWe are genuine sponsors! New Zealand immigration please find it out about the genuine people!\n?

Most Indian are stereotyped in other countries and most people dont respect white hair people.

Sorry as a British born Indian I must say this when Indians from the motherland come it pushes down the salary we natives get as big companies pay Indians from India less than natives. It is a massive problem for us local people??????? I am a proud Indian but I am also a proud Brit from my lovely west country, 80s born. We have too much illegal and legal immigration and it is a problem for us natives.

The West already has tens of millions of Indians already here, your people are everywhere literally all over the world, your country is making it harder to start a business or settle in India, so why should your country get free access?

Indian Economy is still a generation away to develop i guess is 25=30 years, till then people try to move to countries where they can earn more money.

Other countries are full they need to look after there own people they cant afford to be flooded with migrants from other countries and lets face it india has billions of people and most trying to get out . I think india needs to sort out its own problems like every country should so no one needs to leave.

People talking a lot of negative things in the comment section about Indians being this or Indians being that ?. I think the Indian Govt is ensuring that the passport stays weak. Otherwise, what's stopping the govt from flexing its economic power. The reason is, when its complicated to get a visa to travel abroad, it dissuades Indians from going abroad for tourist purpose and those people travel withing India and that money gets spent in India and boosts Indian economy, and when its complicated to move abroad for work or study, it helps reduce brain drain (but that also needs quality higher education and good employment opportunities to work in the country's favor; not going into whether that's the case or not).

First 70% approval rate isn’t bad . Plus other countries are looking out for their people too . Immigration has caused a lot of problem for them

Palki there are a lot fraudulent people applying for visas and don’t have proper paperwork .\nIt may not have to do with India and its ranking itself.\nMost countries will give visa if they have proper proofs and documentation.and indias sheer numbers are so high
