I came back after 20 years in the U.S. I don't know which one is the most messed up. Canada is not like it's used to be, and not for the best. This mass immigration, post-national nonsense is destroying the country. People come in just for the benefit without feeling the need to integrate.

I came as an immigrant 25 years ago. I live in Vancouver and I'd say that social isolation is big problem here. Most of my neighbours first language is something other than English and most don't speak English at all, which makes it practically impossible to ever get to know each other in any meaningful way. The way it works out is that people then get into their own ethnic groupings and eventually their children will speak fluent English and then there is some integration. But that takes a whole generation. Canada is being swamped at the moment and just how it will all work out remains to be seen.

As an immigrant and naturalized Canadian, the Canada I have known and loved from 15 years ago is way different from the Canada I know today. The politeness, discipline and good manners that Canadians are known for seem to have been replaced by uncivilized and inconsiderate behaviour from immigrants who do not seem to care to integrate and adapt to the Canadian culture. This is extremely sad to see.

Part of the problem is that immigrants no longer integrate

As a newcomer, let me tell you all that Canada needs ONLY productive immigrants, those who produce more than what they suck out of the system. \nAlso, it is indispensable that immigrants intend to proactively integrate and respect Canadian heritage and tradition, not imposing or demanding. If you have issues with Christmas, Easter or Thanksgiving, you shouldn’t come, we don’t need people who hate our culture here nor societal parasites.\nYes to balanced, severely screened immigration also with quotas for country of origin, no to the ongoing degenerating mass immigration.

Canada, lease do NOT get them from those Islamic countries. They suck at integration. \n* Show me ONE country where Muslims have integrated well?\n* Show me ONE muslim country where non-muslims are treated equally. \nIf Canada must bring in from those regions, bring in those minorities like Yazidees, Chrisitan, Hindus .... who are persecuted because of their religious status.

I had a conversation with my Uber driver last week, he was a immigrant from the middle east himself, we were both upset about people coming over here and not integrating into Canadian culture and society. He said he came here so his children could grow up in peace and prosperity, but every day he sees people trying to make Canada more like the place he left.? Even new Canadians from those parts of the world are saying we need to slow down, take in less people, and only allow those who want to live in peace and give their children the opportunity of freedom in Canada while keeping out those who refuse to integrate and even worse are actively trying to destroy Canadian culture (Ex no more Halloween or Christmas in schools)

,.....we need to take care of Canadians first, you know the ones that built this nation, created a country of fairness and compassion? and here's a point that will enrage the uneducated woke: limit immigration from Islamic nations.....look at Poland, they are protectting their Polish identity and way of life, why do Canadians not see the same issue??? unless you want your country to look like France or Great Britain. This country has changed for the worse. And unfortunately Islam is not a religion/ideology that can be integrated into western liberal democracies easily. Read the Koran folks its not like Christianity....its not about equality and fairness unless you are muslim perhaps... their Prophet was a warlord killing thousands and enslaving thousands, he married a 9 year old and consummated that marriage when she was 12 and he was 54. And addressing current issues, Canadian passport holders who choose to live in Gaza, which has no rights for women, LGBTQ, and especially jews and whose leaders drafted a charter calling for death of ALL jews, sounds more like NAZI Germany, well they do not belong in Canada. There are plenty of surrounding muslim nations they can go to.

Coming to Canada means that you are coming to integrate into Canadian values. People believe that everything would be free because of the lies people are being told. Canada under the left leaning liberals and NDP party has become very expensive and most immigrants are coming for the benefit of taxe paying citizens.

England is a country not a religion. We have a government for rule, not a church or anything else. You believe what you want but dont insist that others do the same. Muslims come into a country or are even born in a country that the majority don't live like they want so they club together, multiply, dont integrate into the majority or native system forcing the non believers to leave as they are made to feel uncomfortable for non being Muslim. Those who have left a messed up country which has been made a mess as a result or religion, try their hardest to make the receiving country exactly like the one they have left! If you dont like the native life style of a country, dont go to that country! If you are born there, believe what you want but never force others to believe what you believe and try to integrate into the local society maybe? London (England capital city) is now majority populated by non English people! Surely that cant be right on some level where the non indigenous outnumber the indigenous of a capital city!

Situation of the attitudes of Visa officers and other officers in China is horrific. You don’t get visa or other certificates even after you submitted all. Just they tell you to apply and take Visa and other fees but later deny it and take 6-8 months To even deny. You feel stuck, and helpless. You don’t raise voice otherwise they will anyways not entertain if you say a word. Many times you feel stuck to be Indian Citizen. I love my country and always fight others for defending it on many issues, but what’s my mistake to suffer and feel stuck just because of being Indian. Why I am not getting simpler documents easily, which is my right. Is democracy a joke? They told to get single status certificate but in India so called IAS officers don’t know about it and throw us out as soon as they hear it. Even before throwing us out they let us come multiple times to their office to just meet them , so that they can throw us out by demeaning the integrity and regret being Indian Citizen.

Integration has turned out to be a utopia here in Sweden and this is breaking the backbone of the entire country. The right-wing populists gain more and more power, which becomes a downward spiral because they are a bunch of loud amateurs, they don't come up with any solutions, on the contrary, and the immigrants feel increasingly left out.

There are just too many immigrants being let in. I’m shocked at the amount of international students at my college. I feel like its almost 90% are international students trying to get PR and some of them can barely write properly. The quality of work being put out by the students makes me question the integrity of schools. So many of them don’t care about what they’re studying and put minimal effort. All they want is PR. They are not willing to adopt Canadian values and I see people pushing and shoving to get on public transport instead of being civilized. I think immigrants from 30 years ago were a different group. Most were refugees and wanted a better life and were willing to adapt to Canadian culture and adopt new values. But nowadays, the mass of immigrants coming in are very different. Many of them are wealthy and are here not to make a better life for themselves and contribute to Canada. They are here to get PR in order to get Canadian benefits as its much better than their own countries. Some want to be able to move to the US later on. They’re taking advantage of the system and it’s f*cking the country.

Bro why not compare countries like Canada and Germany. The USA is a different country on its own. US salary exceeds that of Canada and Europe. For me, I don´t see the difference between Canada and Germany if not the language barrier. Salaries in Canada and Germany are equally the same if you also have good qualifications in Germany. German social system supercedes that of Canada. In Germany, after school, if you work for 2 years as a foreign student automatically you qualify for a permanent stay, I got my permanent stay after school when I worked for 2 years. The problem with Germany is the integration and language barrier other than that you can live a very good quality life. Every child in Germany school is free till University and children are paid 250 euros a month. For me Germany and Canada same I don´t see any difference but for the USA is salaries are better than in these two countries.

All what you are saying is true but it’s so for only people who haven’t integrated well in the European system. But as you said Canada is quite easy for immigrants to get their documents and citizenship. I’m now European Canadian so I understand

Language is the main challenge for quick integration for English speakers , if you are comparing it with Canada & USA . Other reasons that you have put up is subjective!

20 years ago, already a Canadian citizen I came back to my country of birth. The Canadian dream became more of a nightmare. I faced so much bigotry and arrogance from so many Canadians. Behind that smile and political correctness was so much contempt against newcomers. Holding a U of T master’s degree meant nothing as my hands holding it were not as white as the ones who were eventually employed. My accent, considered “nice” as a tourist, became a motive for rejection and disdain when trying to integrate to that society. It’s no surprise that many of us are not willing to stand such scorn.

Absolutely DUMB yo allow other countries qualifications to equal ours and just let them have a high standing professional job without verifying their skills. Yes I understand some countries are highly educated but not all immigrants are from those 1st world countries. By all means? Let them come over, but take a step to ensure integrity ffs.

I’m sorry, but that is really disgusting. We do not need more immigrants. Our infrastructure and medical system is already burdened. Not to mention the government often pays for everything for them for the first year so they think they’ve got it good and suddenly when they can’t get a job, because Canada may not recognize their degrees, then they are struggling again. And sadly, if they are Muslim, sometimes they just don’t want to integrate they just want to live their own ways here, but have a better life in our country, and that’s not fair to us. Immigration without integration doesn’t work.

With no ill meaning let me say good, this is best for everyone. They were lied to when they were told we could afford to take them and had the means to support their transition into our work force. We were lied to when we were told they'd fully integrate and are doctors and lawyers and yadda yadda. The reality is we had no real system in place to verify and transfer their qualifications and credentials. Doctors couldn't be doctors. They needed the work, we needed the doctors. It was a lose lose.

We can’t lump all immigrants into one single group. But there is one group that are admitted I find repulsive. This group have no intention whatsoever to become Canadians. That is to stay, work, raise family, integrate into Canadian culture and be contributing citizens of the country. This group would spend the minimum required time to become eligible for Citizenship, park their dependence here, utilizing all our social services, including health and education for children. The head of the family then returns to the home country to earn money without paying our taxes as they are deemed non-residents. At retirement age, these non-resident “Canadians” would return as retirees to claim our social services , including “free” healthcare. There are at last count approximately 250,000 “Canadians” in Hong Kong, I am sure there are a lot more in other countries. Whenever there are political or war trouble these people would scurry back, sometimes even demanding Ottawa to send airplanes for them.\nI don’t believe in “a Canadian is a Canadian is a Canadian”. You are a Canadian only if you fulfill the responsibilies of a Citizen.

To survive in Canada, you need to be good at English only and have some bluffing skills rather than technical skills. Ya, English skill is 99.999% of sucess factor, nothing else, believe me !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Isn’t this a paradise for people from India or Europe who are good at English? Even students of Univ. do not know how to solve the math problem of differentiation or integral....\nI don't know if people has good idea of philosophy of life, culture, or history. They come to Canada and as soon as they get a canadian passport the go back home. That is why they dont integrate with canadians and dont change their habits.

When my family immigrated to Canada it had integrity, freedom and was respected globally, for me Canada lost this when Canada pushed Manufacturing out of Canada, as far back in the late 70's early 80's - This was the first exodus from Canada, most left and never came back, this is also when Canada stopped competition is all sectors, food and groceries/ banking, insurance/real estate/engineering, this all happened under Pierre Trudeau.\n\nFast forward here we are again under a Trudeau and the exudes is greater, people are not leaving in larger numbers- Affordability/ failed medical system/corruption in government/ lack of completion/ Failed promises/crime/terrorism sympathizing and hate/drugs/ child exploitation/indoctrination/ Gender madness/woke/ immigration/refuges vetting/.....This all happened under the Liberal/NDP cartel and again under another Trudeau.....\n\nNow there is talk about bring in more immigrants, when we can not deal with our current population and the hype of Job jobs is made in Canada only unless you wish to be a Taxi driver/food delivery or be on a government payroll or embrace one of the growth sectors in Government services/Food Bank volunteers, fast food and again as a last resort more taxi drivers....\n\nCanada is broken.

After watching Mr. Binsky’s earlier video on Kiribati, in his emotional swallowing of the grand hoax of global warming and the impending submergence of this island, and I assume the Maldives (that parenthetically are building new airports) how can one think Mr Binsky can “educate” us on the U.S And Canada? I would bet my right arm he is no better informed than the parentally informed teenager Greta on this matter of global warming. He simply parrots the refrain that “97% of the scientists” and “experts”, believe the dire effects of man made global warming. Again, I can’t believe he has listened to the many scientists who adamantly disagree with these assessments. Intellectual integrity is not in fashion in this era. I'm currently living in France and the system of life is so good than any European countries but I always try to immigrate for a country that speaks English because French language is too difficult ,therefore to study what you want, to have driver license, to work in a good place, everything become compulsory for you to have or know french good level B1 To C1.\n\nin this case you can't do any any progress, life is good really but integration is difficult. \n\nimagine almost 2 years after language, using bicycle as a transport.

Sikh are the pride of our nation. They represent what brave, honest and integrity looks like. Their roots are laid in Service to humanity. I am proud of my Sikh brothers. All I have felt when I am around them is safe protected and respected. I would once in my life go visit the Golden Temple to pay my respect to this religion dedicated to service. \nThe government need to have a long term and short term plan for helping Punjab. I see how the current govt is vying to get foreign investment in India. I hope, they can set up more economically advantages industries in Punjab and North east of India too. The quality of life in Quebec, despite the fact that Quebecers are not as well off as residents of other provinces, such as BC, Alberta or Ontario, is far better. Life in Montreal, Quebec is far superior to that of Toronto or Ottawa in many ways. Having lived in these two capitals, I prefer to live in Quebec, despite all the bad things Canadians in other provinces think of it. The fact that I am perfectly bilingual has favored my integration into this distinct society, I must admit.

Ontario cut social policies to convert them into welfare for the massive influx of immigrants they received from Syria and Afghanistan starting in 2014, I was there and saw the change Toronto went through from 2013 to 2018 with thousands of people from abroad that received hefty benefits while not able to work, integrate, contribute to society, but were major PR scores for politicians and their campaigns. Aside from that, the cost of rent and food skyrocketed without any control and I've seen unjustified markups at Nofrills in just a year, let alone ordering some below-mediocre pizza for $25 or getting a hamburger meal for $15, and these were 2018 prices.

Lynn Austria is a good place with a well organised govt, the only problem is the language barrier coz they speak Deutsch and it's very difficult to learn it especially at old age. Without it integration and getting resident permit is problematic. But its a very beautiful country ? ❤

I lived in Texas for 10 years and I met wonderful people. But I was absolutely thrilled to get back to Canada and it's a cultural thing. I found American culture focused on 'winning' rather than integrity, so that laws and businesses and banks are predatory, and everyone is on alert/stressed trying to not be victimized somewhere. Some great vacation spots, but it's no way to live.

There is no one who can question the Sikhs love for India. Sikhs are around and across India even in southern states. They are running successful businesses and heavily invested in many parts of the country. They are well integrated and no chance of any separation discussion.
