I think some people are confused, I think that crossing is a legal crossing through authorities, he’s saying if you cross illegally through a different unregulated crossing then you will be arrested. I wanna give my two cents as a Jamaican who lived in Canada,Germany and the us for me i wanna see the us is better interms of making money. It's better to get around , open business, hustle it's have that go-getter capitalistic mentality, Canada and Germany are similar. In Germany its haaaard to get anything done and bureaucracy will end you. Canada is a bit better and less bureaucratic. The us is a play ground filled with variety of everything and did I mention how easy it is to make money. Canada and Germany habe similar health system but in Germany things get done quickly, the us system is good if you have money. Racism is in all three but Germany and Canada are kinda not in your face, Americans will be in your face though, to me i prefer the america racism at least i know who to be aware of but in CA and ger you don't know who your enemies are because they will smile with you while not liking you. For kids it's like this , i would raise my kid in Germany because they have the kids are so well mannered and well behaved but i will let them experience american high school . Canada is waaay more peaceful , Germany cleaner. The bottom line is if you are a young ambitious Person the us is for you, but to retire I'll choose Canada but let my kids grow in Germany.

It is not safe to see most doctors in canada , they all push big pharma drugs that have more side affects that are worse than your original problem was. I have almost been killed by malpractice numerous times , it's honestly safer to go to the vet and I am not kidding !

Well Canada is a great country, my grand parents were able to get here in 1957 with their 3 kids, after going through and surviving WWII, work in Europe was scarce and employers were abusing their workers everywhere. My dad was one of those 3 children's, he met my mother here, they had me and my sister. Today i have 3 boys of my own and my sister has 2 girls. Canada has any country as their plusses and minuses, but i wouldn't live anywhere else. I've lived my whole life on the south shore of Montréal, worked in and around Montréal for 35 years. Never ran out of work as long as i was willing and able to work. I've worked in all my life, 65% immigrants and 35% Québecer's. There both are kinda racists in some way and they have there own reasons as well. I was bullied in school till i was 11 years old, i had an accent and dressed differently since my dad made our clothing. Being ridiculed, pushed, punched etc, and then one day the bully of the school approached me and wanted to fight me. I was scared, everyone else were laughing, so i clenched my fist and punched that kid right on the nose. Everyone got quiet and the principal came out, we went to his office and then he asked me straight away : Are you gonna do this again or was it a one time thing ?? I said it will be one time thing unless someone else wants to fight me again, then i will have to defend myself again. He said ok and now go back to class, and that was that. But in the 1970's with the augmentation of people moving here after WWII, people in Canada were scared immigrants would steal their jobs etc. My grand father worked all his life till he died at 82 years old. Worked 6 days a week, 12 to 16 hours a day. My dad had worked all his life 70 hours a week and sometimes 85 hours a week. People complaining about doctors or hospitals, a lot are going in for a cold, the flu, headaches etc, for sure take 2 aspirin or tylenol and stay home, no need to see a doctor for that. If you have a broken limb or were in an accident, you go right in and get fixed up without issue really. Any country as it's inconveniences in the end ?

It depends on your situation. If you have an advanced degree then you will make a lot more money in the United States and pay less in taxes. If you are single with no kids then many advantages of Canada disappear.

Yes, I agree on some of the comments like; silent racism, cost of living and also about the dark history about Indigenous kids disappearance in catholic school.I know am 10yrs old but not too young to talk about it, same time I cannot ignore about what I see and experience (current affairs)! Every country have their pros and cons. Yes, USA might have better offers then Canada. I m not judging anyone or any country just sharing my experience’s For example: My family gad trip to windy City of Chicago US in December of 2022 with my parents and younger sister, before my visit I assumed that we will enjoy and have fun during trip but it was quite opposite “compared to what I see in Toronto” more homeless and addicts bullying pedestrians for money and when we had problem with ATM at bank the customer service was unfriendly and rude to us ( my parents having Asian background) people just degrade when they are from other culture: it is not fair to talk about Canada just because how a Country and it’s Governments works…. I’ve watched the video and I’ve read many comments. My message it’s to immigrants, Canadians & everyone. Just be some patient to read for you to think reasonable after this. I’m sure you’ll start to be reasonable regarding Canada. I had a good life good job & a nice home in Ukraine. Due to the barbarian russian invasion my family & I fled the horrific situation in Kharkiv city. I was driving a mini bus of 4 families! Most are children. We’ve arrived to Europe. Crossing many countries (Poland, Czechia & Austria) we’ve arrived to the country leading the EU. In Poland & Czechia, we’re treat very good by the people. In Austria we got hardly a payed hotel where children could get a rest!!! We still didn’t understand why they don’t want to give us rooms despite we’re paying for our staying!!! In Germany, I believe that the government did its best. But the number of comers is huge! Of course many they got disappointed as happened with me! But I still understand and believe that really the government & people did theirs best. So fast I got a job! The social connection helped to introduce me to the company! But i was not hired, I still to express myself & my qualifications. The manager was understanding, so he accepted to communicate in English and to offer me the job in case if I am successful doing the job during the first week at the site. I had to change the machines menu into English. So the manager was very satisfied with my job and I got that job. The rent! You’ll get it only if you receive the blessing of each member of the county and a very strong social connections! The doctors! To make just a blood work for my son it took 45 days of waiting! To get the doctor appointment, you need that a German guy call and get you the appointment! Because when my wife called, the secretary said: we don’t speak English! But when my wife went for her visit she figured out they’re speaking English better than her!!! My son has an issue of hyperactivity, so they refused to accept him at school more than 3 hours a day! And he was excluded from the birthday parties of his colleagues aswell other events! Other Ukrainian children, they were just attending classes! Just a show! No body cares how help their integration! About, the taxes! The half of my income was going to the government! The money back?! Only 200 euros/ month for my kid. And nothing else. Nothing! To get a neurologist appointment for my son it was necessary to wait 3 months! Prices?! Everything expensive! Technology?! Not better than Canada at all. Bureaucracy, Canada is much less. Banking system, Canada much better. Where in Germany?! The best province in Germany “Munich”. Where people stoped long ago dreaming to purchase a home. Guys, Canada doesn’t through broken people as we were in camps! Where nothing is human there! Canada doesn’t enter you in cercle of hell bureaucracy just to get your kid into school! And if he needs a support he get it right away without any background that he’s not our!!! I got a good job in Canada; so fast. Without any social connections because simply I do not have any. Everything is currently broken: Rent is off the roof, houses are completely unfordable (whether getting a down payment, or actually paying mortgages of 350000 minimum in Montreal for instance/~2500 per month). Pharmacy shelves for basic stuff like Advil are empty and some people need to drive to the US to get their kids fever and pain medication. What you talked about here is the healthcare crisis which was the first one I noticed and all of that is true. I’m Canadian and married to an American, and of the two countries we’ve lived in, we’ve decided to plant our roots and raise our kids in Canada. For a lot of the reasons you two hit on, and for some you didn’t. Education, opportunities, cleanliness, etc. I hated waking up in the morning and watching people dumpster diving next to my apartment and thinking, I can’t let my kids go out and play on the little 10x10 piece of grass in front of my parking lot. I felt like my financial situation was limited to minimum wage even though inflation and cost of living was skyrocketing. Americans think they’ve got the best of everything until they travel to other parts of the world.

Everything your saying is true I am Canadian. I tell people from the states the difference in school parks that I seen. All the kids in Canada are in side doing homework after school. Because are school system is way better. You see kids in the states out side playing sports for scholarships. So thats why as Canadian I feel we don't care about leisure activities. I’m American and when I was a kid I went through a phase where I only wanted to watch Canadian shows. Degrassi, My Goldfish is Evil, 6Teen, Total Drama Island, Ed Edd n Eddy, Maggie and the Ferocious Beast, Big Comfy Couch, Life with Derek, etc. Whenever I would see that Canadian logo in the credits I’d get so excited. Canada and Europe for sure you pay more taxes but you get soo much more for it. Gov covers you when you retire or want to have kids. Public transportation amazing college is free some spots in Europe pay you to go to college. Quality of life way better

I was born in the Uk and moved to Canada as a child in 1967. By 1992 I saw the writing on the wall and moved my family back to England. Now at 68 I see the writing on the wall again and we are moving to Portugal. You have to stay open and flexible in life as your life and countries change over time. Our kids and grandkids are in Denmark and England but hey a return ticket to Porto in Portugal from either is only £75 or $131 Cdn. They can visit every month!

And get this: I'm so poor I couldn't even afford to move around or travel in my own damned country! We don't even have a universal transit bus system to travel anymore. YOu have to have a car or fly but be damned if you can hop the old Greyhound and go from Vancouver to Toronto anymore and save a few bucks. It's sick and dysfunctional here.

I don't get why people are so shocked we have homelessness in Canada, I guess people from other poorer countries overlook this part. Homelessness has been around for many decades now. Money doesn't grow on trees, you have to earn it my dear. I have lived in 2 cities and never had a hard time finding a doctor. My parent's immigrated here legally and they came from small mountain villages. They learned the language (not easy) they worked hard, and they never had to go on assistance. They bought their home paid it off had 3 kids and lived their life and never complained, maybe its because they came from a different generation. You have to look at the big picture.

Many homeless women experience terrible sexual assaults that rarely are reported and rarely ever taken seriously by the police. Most alternatives to shelters are limited and there are so many restrictions that qualifying doesn't always happen. Many have had their ID stolen, so they are unable to get jobs, rent homes, or even have a day to shower and clean their clothes. Most donations of clothes, blankets, and sleeping bags are disregarded because most homeless people don't have the means to carry things. Their nutrition is terrible, through no fault of their own. Many food banks will not give food to those without a home. Many soup kitchens will only help periodically and not for every meal. Canada's treatment of homeless people and mentally people is not just disgraceful, but criminal. The general attitude of many Canadians, as taught to them by deliberate government propaganda, is that if you are poor or were abused or a victim of crime, is that they did something to deserve it. Rents across Canada are beyond the reach of the majority of Canadians, yet, Canada refuses to set up a council house system like the UK. There are no emergency homes and no emergency assistance even close to what the UK and other countries across the world provide. Canada's continued abuse, ill-treatment, crimes against humanity, and genocide of the First Nations peoples is not a past history, but an ongoing history that is not about reconciliation. It is about shutting them up so that they cannot speak and get true justice, instead of just a federal government settlement of a meager amount that has only increased the addictions of victims, who have no one to help them or a place to turn. Canada lies about trauma help and treatment for people for having been victims, or have developed PTSD (this is a brain injury and only a mental health problem if the person becomes suicidal or is unable to do the basics of essential living), and worse, Canada lies about this in relation to kids. Alberta has a place that they claim is for treating trauma in kids. However, this place is nothing more than a low-level counseling center to reunite kids with their parents, who have been removed by law. Any child requiring help has to deal with just basic counselors, who are not trained in helping traumatized and PTSD kids. In relation to the First Nations peoples, if the teens have mental health issues, and if they have to be temporarily hospitalized by their parents, social workers and doctors will force joint custody with the parents, to treat the kids or remove them so they can carry on the government's crimes against the First Nations peoples. The crimes continue. In these past few months, a baby was left to die in a basket at a nurse's station in the Misericordia Hospital, Edmonton, Alberta. The mother was allegedly treated like garbage and her child was allegedly called a specimen. But this is not the only case of such abuse of First Nations pregnant mothers and their children. A case over a decade ago allegedly also took place, and the number of these cases in this hospital alone may possibly be much higher, and other hospitals may also be hiding such crimes. An infant, who was the victim of attempted murder by one or the other parent, was put in the care of relatives by social workers, who were totally unaware of the crime, but the one parent, who was put in the hospital's mental health unit, mentioned a version of what had happened, and when the relatives found out, they were allegedly reassured by the hospital that they would deal with the matter. The relatives believed, understandably, that the hospital would report the crime, but it never did. Allegedly the hospital covered up yet another crime. The police in the city, allegedly informed at some point, one of the relatives that no charges could be laid even if the child remembered as the Canadian health services do not believe that children below the age of 4 can remember anything. It was when I heard about this that I realized that the reason Canada has gotten away with the crimes against the 1st Nations, immigrants, Canadians, and who knows how many other victims, through the mandated alleged use of forced assimilation and the alleged Soviet-style education system, is because of this fake claim that children and even infants cannot remember things. This deliberate lie to those relatives allegedly by the police, shows clearly that Canada is following the dangerous path in a more stealthy fashion than the Nazis did to the Jews and others they rounded up, arrested, tortured, and/or eventually murdered. I really hope the government also opens their eyes on companies marketing birthright citizenship in Canada. Apparently, some companies in China literally market the fact that Canadians receive subsidized education and healthcare to pregnant women. These women go deliver in Canada, return to China and 18 years later send their kids to receive subsidized university education, on the expense of Canadian tax payers (which their parents never were)!

Canada is a great country to rise kids and work! But to get retired I think can be very hard

I want to move from us to Canada, mean reason the immigration is broken in usa for Indian and I don’t want my Indian born kid to face same uncertainty . We are earning in upward of 500k and have to take massive pay cut. After reading the comments and watching videos. I’m getting so confuse. I’m okay to earn less money but Canada should at least provide better healthcare and housing. Look like lot of thing are broken in Canada. Does moving to Canada is really worth? Would people commenting here, will you ever move back to your home country?
