At some point, we need to say no more we are full because we can’t even take care of our own citizens. Our healthcare system is overstrained, and the government cuts the budget. Our education system is horrible and the government cuts the budget instead of excepting more immigrant students, and more people that we have to support taxpayer money. Because these immigrants are not rich, you’re not coming over here with a bunch of money most of them are given accommodating housing that born citizen don’t even get for seven years. If I wanna get on the rent to geard income house have to wait 7 to 10 years, but if I was born somewhere else, they would just give it to me as soon as I get here so maybe instead of focussing on immigrants, let’s focus on people who are born in this country by, I don’t know stop cutting medical and education spending

Amazing you can comment on a CBC news YouTube channel.. you cannot blame the huge influx of immagrants on just students coming here to learn... The federal government needs NEEDS NEEDS to shut down the flow of people coming here from everywhere.. we as a country cannot handle the sheer ammount that they want to bring in.. these people are brough here in the expectance of paying taxes.. but how many are getting their education and leaving for greener pastures? Why would this be any different than what Canadian students do after they are finished with their education.. Canada doesn't make any net foreign money from international students. The money that Ottawa thinks is generating ....is Canadian money being paid from the jobs international students do. Any money that comes from outside of Canada is later reemitted back to the foreign country as most international students take a loan and later pay back that loan from Canadian earned money ...

I remember canada immigration has a certain standard and requirements. There were different immigration program such as family class business class. When it comes to student visa graduates studies were offered on funding and scholarships.recently we can see number of high school graduates to attend community College. Canadian takes grant student loan to start any program in college and universities imagine international students from developing countries where the tuition fee is almost double I don't understand the screening process of students. It has benefited to consultants and has ruin canada reputation. There are number of videos in tiktok and YouTube of people making v blog on leaving canada. I feel sad. Canada is a beautiful country but the greed of money has completely ruin the reputation.

It doesn’t help when Ford freezes tuition but allows more student visas. It’s a cash cow for these schools. These “students” end up working taking jobs from our own kids and keep wages suppressed. If universities have to close programs and administration take a big pay cut that could also offer some assistance and yeah put money back into education

Yes. Have you ever realized that raising your kids now means having money throughout their entire lives, even after their university or college degree? Service providers are the most dishonest people these days. They take advance payment and never show up . Some of them will do horrible work and still ask for more money. Mississuaga home owners are having serious problems with service providers. New and wider roads are being constructed in India at very high speed. Trains are providing all modern services etc

I have been in US for 20 years and can understand the experience that you are sharing. Frankly, countries like US and Canada are not for people who can’t do some basic things on their own. \nPeople leave their families and comfort of their home and come to these countries either to earn money, eventually have a good quality life or to provide a good quality education for their kids. If you don’t have a reason good enough to make that move and keep the option of running back home on facing little hardship then there is no way you can live in these countries. Forget about going and living in other countries you can’t even go and live in another state within India. Do you think it’s easy for a North Indian to go and live in South (or vice versa) where they encounter language and culture barriers? \nYou were in much much better situation as you already had PR and didn’t have to go through stress of handling uncertainty on your visa situation based on job.\nTrust me it takes few years for you to get adjusted to new environment, culture, people, food etc. But, as you spend more and more time in these countries you get more accustomed to way of living here and then you become so comfortable with it that you don’t want to go back at all.\nDon’t want to judge anyone but I guess in your case at your age with family already settled in India you didn’t have a solid enough reason to get out of your comfort zone and give time to get used to such big transition in your life

We live in Houston, Texas, where the culture is more conservative. Parents are not told how to raise their children, cost of living is still relatively good, and being Muslim (wife wears hijab) hasn't been as challenging as other places. \n\nPlenty of Muslims from all over, mosques, Islamic schools, halal food, etc too. \n\nMy parents moved my siblings and I from Los Angeles to Karachi, when I was 12. Wanted to share a few key things to help your transition:\n1. Pilot it out. Move to Istanbul for 6 months, then maybe Kuala Lumpur for another 6 months, etc. Test out each location. Inflation is everywhere. Not all Islamic countries are Islamic. But you have to experience it first hand. \n2. Take LOTS of money. A decent life outside the first world means you're loaded. \n3. Build connections where ever you go. The things we take for granted are luxuries elsewhere. Water, electricity, gas. Connections help you get what you need, sometimes for a price. \n4. Schools will be underwhelming. If you can homeschool, cool. \n5. If you start a business, go solo. Don't partner up with others. \n\nIn any case, hope it works out inshaAllah. This is my 13th year in Canada, I am so sad to see the change, I really hope it will become a better country again with Trudeau stepping down. But we also have to be fair that there are not many countries become better since COVID. Many of you leaving or planning to leave Canada are more like rich country retirees taking advantage of the wage and currency differences between rich and poor countries. So let’s put it this way, if many of you have not worked your whole life here in Canada, will you still have a quality of life in your home countries, such as Southeast Asia or South America? I doubt majority of the population there is make a good money and having great work life balance, and everyone there could afford a decent retirement life. what is more close to nowadays reality is people coming here and hoping they could have a better paid job and settle down here, but most of them found out they are struggling to even maintain their normal life in this country, so they left. For those who came years ago, they made a saving which may not be enough to support a good retirement life here, but is more than enough in other countries, they also choose to flee. Then those successful immigrants will stay here with the option to travel anywhere they want. My son's classmate's grandfather immigrated to Canada long time ago who later become a well known cardiologist and was rewarded as one of the top 25 immigrants Award, all three daughters are now specialists too. I really hope Canada could rise again!

People have to stop using rental prices in cities like Toronto and Vancouver. That's like Americans using rental costs in Bel-Air California or Manhattan as an example of what rent costs in America. It's not a realistic portrayal of rental costs. \nHere in Quebec the the annual tax rate is between 26.53% and 53.31%, depending on income. Then you have to consider all the socialist programs that you are forced to pay into, which also sucks up a significant amount on your weekly salary. After that, you must consider that you pay 15% sales tax on almost everything. It's safe to say that half of your yearly earnings, give or take, are taken in taxes and socialized programs. As for salaries, less than 20% of the Canadian population make a 6 figure salary. We're not talking about household income. I am talking about individual income. You're not going to become rich here in Canada! The majority of people who do become rich leave Canada to avoid taxation. Canadians live a life of debt. You will live just balancing your debt to make sure it doesn't get out of control Few Canadians have money in savings without debt. The ones who do have money saved, most of them have debts on top of their savings which is counterproductive in my opinion.

Many of your numbers are wrong sweetie. Here are the facts;\n2 years ago, you would go to IGA (where food is fresh but it is pricey), you would get out with 2 bags of groceries for about 120$. Today, it is 180$ for the same 2 bags. this is NOT a 10% increase... but almost the double in price!\n\nRent, in Quebec province, have gone from around 1,000$ to 2,400$ in less than 5 years, and each time a tennant leave his place, the landlord rise (against the law but nobody can do anything) the rent often by 25 to 40%!!! The Demand is so high, that he can refuse you for any reason (including racism, children, pet, smokers) he can think of. Again, this is against the common law but in truth, there is nothing anybody can do, unless you can bring him to court, which takes lots of money...\n\nSo in reality, from the last 5 years, almost everything has double in price and salaries have barely start to rise (mostly due to unions who revolted) but if you are not part of one, your salary basically stayed the same.\n\nA very good advice, don't come to Canada. There is no 'dream' here anymore. it is hell. And even if you find a decent job, you will be ask to do the job of 4 peoples and taking your vacation will be near impossible without losing it. I want to give a different perspective. I'm from Singapore. My entire family was here and they have moved back. My sister moved back first because my British brother in law could not take the cold. My brother moved back because he wanted to make money and be rich. My parents moved back to be close to their grandkids. But no way will I move back. Constant heat strokes from the weather, materialistic and shallow people, preference given to married people and families, lack of hinterland and nature, lack of winter sports, and poor LGBTQ+ rights. I have not lived in Singapore since I was 18 and I am also childfree, with no intention of raising a family, only travel locally, and am not into the acquisition of commercial goods for gratification. I love going on roadtrips and skiing every winter and playing hockey year round. I like that I can marry who I love here and can acquire a home without needing to be married. I understand how people who want to make money and raise families would see the brighter side of other countries, but Canada, despite its flaws, is my brighter side.

And it's not because your not wanted which by the way is a growing trend with Canadians wanting less immigration. But simply for the fact that Trudeau and his policies for the past 8 years has damaged this nation beyond recognition. There is a good chance you'll end up with a low wage job or pan handling to make money (I've seen such a massive increase in immigrant pan handlers the past few years, it's unsettling). Its going to take at least a decade of reversing and implementing new policies to get Canada back on track to where it was 10 years ago, then take another decade to catch up to where it should be now. So if you do end up here and didn't heed my warning, then at the very least DO NOT VOTE LEFT (Liberal, NDP, Green) because it's these parties especially Liberals that has gotten us to this point.

As someone who moved Canada 3.5 years ago, I agree with all the reasons mentioned. There are many things government could have done better to fight against the inflation, housing crisis, high cost of living and rise in crime and homelessness. I don't even want to mention about the taxes. Like I am almost giving half of my salary to the government yet they are still taking %13 more on what we spend on, yet I've never seen a single place where that money was used to address any of these problems. One of the reasons I moved to Canada was to have a better life style, more buying power and better future for my future kids. But at this point I feel like I am living in a zombie land. High skilled workers will have some other opportunities elsewhere but refugees and low skilled workers will be stuck in Canada and it will get only worse with the current policies.

As a Malaysian Muslim, I always taking everything for granted. We are not perfect but we got everything wè need to live. Halal foods everywhere. Almost any kinds of foods we got halal version of it. From where I live, I could hear azhan from 5 different mosulla and masjid. So, Malaysia is one good option too. Islam religion is protected under our constitution. And get ready if someone gives money to your kids. Part of our culture. Get ready if someone ask you guys already eat or not.

In Schools they teach kids how to change the gender and how to take drugs which will not harm. \nCanadian values doesn’t aligned with my family, cultural values so I left Canada even I was earning good money. But money has no value if you are unable to raise the kids properly. \nI left Canada and it’s been 1 year I am living in my home country India and I have zero regret about leaving Canada. Canada country was good when I came in 2017 but now everything is changed. My sister and brother in law they also moved from Toronto to Dubai because they also think that there children will have no future in this country. \nMy brother in law told me Dubai is very good for raising kids, have moral and cultural values. Respect for everyone. No drugs promotion, No gender change promotion in Dubai, quality of health care and education is way better than western countries. Strict rules for women safety.

I lived there for a few years. It has both the cultural Islamic aspect but is also\nDeveloped and modern enough to enjoy. My issue with Dubai is that has lost its Islamic culture and unfortunately I feel that a lot of the Gulf countries are quite shallow and vain when it comes to money and materialism, something I worry about when raising my children as well. But oman literally has it all and their pay is high plus one of the highest currencies.

All your reasons are the same reasons me and my husband want to leave Germany. Both of us were born here. Grew up here, but the stance what German Politicians are taking and how they are pushing the people here to hate on Muslims is insane. I always faced racism as a brown kid, as Germans in the 90s were super racist. My parents fled a genocide and ethnic cleansing themselves. So they thought at least we kids would grow up happy and safe here. Never felt home and at peace in this country. Ironic when you think how they are obsessed here with rules and laws. This war let us realise that these laws are being applied selectively. And so we made the decision to save up our money for the next 2- 3 years and as soon my husband finishes his higher education we are going to leave this country for good.

Now my company is processing a work visa @ottawa. At my level the take home salary should be > 110K -120K CAD+ bonus. I'm hoping that would be sufficient. My wife is working here in India and is earning very well. After seeing this crisis news I'm most probably not going to make her resign. Will experience Canada for 2 years, save money and will go back to India. I don't want to permanently move.

We're In the US and we are thinking of the same. Palestine did it for us as well.. we pay 60k in tax dollars every year, and we will not take part in our tax money being used for genocide.
