As a US citizen who has lived within 5 miles of the Canadian border, worked for Canadian employers, and had many Canadian friends, I have always known them to be quietly strong people. This just strengthens my conviction. I am so glad SOMEONE will stand up to the tyrant who has stolen my nation.

Is Canada allowing any refugees from the U.S.??? I’m not joking. My whole family lives in red states like Indiana, Texas, and Kentucky (okay Ky is more purple I guess but definitely leans red despite the amazing blue Governor). We all want to move. I live in Vancouver and it has the largest open air drug market in North America. I can't recall Trudeau ever speaking about the Fentanyl pandemic so frequently. My family has lived in Canada for several generations. My grandpa moved here from Italy and he started a large masonry company and become successful. But as a college student, I'm the 5% minority. You should be more concerned with median income or statistics that omit the top 1% as that is the reality the vast majority are living. In 2021, Canada was top 5 in the world in median disposable income. Finally, the US’s financial services and healthcare are big contributors to the US GDP while both have their problems (financial services don’t make the lives of the general public any better and US healthcare is incredibly inefficient). So, comparing the GDP of these countries is not a fair comparison.

We literally have 5 million Indians in Ontario alone looking to get into the USA to live and work. They came here to get PR so they dont have to wait 20 years in india to get a work visa. I remember in Matamoros 4 or 5 years ago a group of migrants stormed the bridge. I was crossing to work on a daily basis at the time and had to cross the BM Bridge because Gateway Bridge was where these clowns staged their protest. Canada and the US used to share a warm relationship. Living close to Canada, our girls hockey teams frequently play the Canadian girls. I came from Asia, I came legally. It was difficult to enter the US. I had live in the US for 5 years before getting the right to take a test to be the citizen. I did make a lot more money in USA then, luckily, I was in my 20s and almost never seen a doctor in my 5 years in the USA. \nThank God I didn't get into any accident while there. \n\nIn general, I observed many people in the USA are not good neighbors. Simple observation, ex you drive and merge into a lane in a busy SF Bay Highway you need to fight hard to get into a lane. In BC, Canada, merging lanes is very orderly, each vehicle takes turn merging into a lane one entering from one lane and then another vehicle from another lane with respect and consideration. \nIn the USA, I think it is this brutal mentality translates into policy in health care and education, you are not responsible to help your community in any way and take while you can for yourself.

Its not just an employer issue though, these corporations see dollars, the rest of us see taxes, overflowing school,s lack of teachers, lack of translation supports, lack of hospital systems, lack of housing , food bank runs as wages cannot support cost of living, homelessness crime and drug use. Disruption of neighbourhoods with 10-15 people piling into suburban homes and messing it up. They should not be here until the foundations are set. What new infrastructure is planned by these departments and on whose bill? Is it started yet as constructions are 5 years out . There is literally no long term joint plan here , just hoard type mentality. A failure at all levels of join thinkng in this government. And now its gonna get worse.

I was in the Missouri when i got sick. I drove home and was diagnosed with a brainstem tumour. 10 hr surgery, 4 surgerical teams, icu, wks hospitalization. Months of rehab and homecare. The school even arranged a cab to take my 5 yr old to school. I have seen bills for pts who didn't make it home and had to have surgery in the US before being repatriated back to the icu i worked. It was an eye opener to see what they were charged for a box of kleenex, a catheter, an iv bag etc. I would have lost everything if i had to have surgery in the US. \nMy sister is currently in hosp in the US, and she is getting good care. I drove down last time she was in, and i was impressed by the lovely large CCU bay, but, hey patients are paying for it. She had a fancy postop CABG pillow to splint her chest when she had to coughed. It had a cute surgical heart on it. I am sure it cost $$. In Canada, we give our pts a regular pillow, some iv morphine and tlc when it hurts when they cough, no fancy cartoon pillow, but no bill either lol. She's a senior on medicaid so she's not going into massive debt or dying in her home to avoid going to the hospital.\n \nI have been travelling to the states since 1976 as a young child. I love the states, I have a lot of family there. My dad lived there until his death. My great grandma immigrated and died in Montana. I have never had a negative experience there in over 49 yrs, other than the old lady backed into my parked suv in the hobby lobby lol parking lot l\n\nA big plus in Canada, is paid Maternity/ paternity leaves and also caregiver leave. Your mom has a stroke or child has cancer you can take time off work to care for them with partial pay and not worry about losing your job

can't give an opinion about living in USA, because I never stayed for long (only for vacations or short visits), but as a visitor, I used to go once or twice a week in the 90's (I used to live 5 minutes drive from the border), as a visitor, I was always welcomed and made friends very easily. Of course, being only a visitor, I didn't have to experience day to day life or any major problems. About police presence, I guess it depends where you go in USA, I'm from Montreal & we also have a very visible police presence (guess it's common in bigger cities). Didn't have any problems with police in USA, like everywhere, if you comply, you'll have good relationship with policemen. If you try to play or disrespect them, you're in for some trouble--no different here in Canada.

Canadians live on average 5 years longer than Americans because we have affordable healthcare...AGAIN...IT IS NOT FREE...even our politicians need to stop saying it's free...WE ARE TAXED TO PAY FOR IT...and most of us are absolutely okay with that system....well the billionaire class isn't of course...but they don't count.

Please correct me if I'm wrong, but when you first came back to Canada making these videos, you seemed unhappy that things cost more in Canada than in a developing country, I think it was Vietnam? If a person is lucky enough to be able to work around the world online and maintain the same wages of course developing countries will be cheaper. For people who live in Vietnam, the average monthly wage is $424 Canadian. The average wage in Canada is $5,607 so developing countries are cheaper if you are making North American style wages. Best of luck finding a place with lower crime, lower poverty, and a quality of life you enjoy.
