The former employee’s process was allegedly to make sure that the prospective immigrants came to his check-in desk at the airport. Later, he would allegedly meet them again during the boarding process and falsely report they had the correct documents a second time.\n\nThe former British Airways employee was arrested on Jan. 6, but after making bail, he and his partner, who also worked for British Airways, fled to India, where he reportedly owns multiple properties and is still on the run from U.K. and Indian authorities. Over the past half-decade, dozens of Indian students faced deportation after unknowingly using falsified acceptance letters to Canadian universities.\n\nNational Post reached out to Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada for comment, but did not hear back before publication.

The thing that really pisses me off is that these illegal entries also gum up and slow down the process for legit asylum seekers and legit immigration petitioners who do obey the law. I saw a news report at the San Ysidro crossing where they interviewed a mother of three young children who had a legitimate asylum reason (which still has to be determined in court) who had been trying for over two years to enter legally. The system just didn’t have capacity because of the illegal crossings in the region taking up all of USCIS resources. This woman had no resources and was sleeping on the streets in Tijuana (not safe) trying to survive and care for her kids and she had the resolve to continue to doing things legally. \n\nPeople bitch about America being unsympathetic — what about people like this woman? You gonna say she should give up obeying the law and try to jump the border? What if you came home from work and found a homeless woman and her three kids eating out of your fridge? \n\nWalls don’t keep people out. They have doors. Go to the door and ask to be let in. \n\nIf the illegal crossings stopped, and America refused to answer the door? Then maybe you got an argument for harsh treatment.

Canadians don’t want a 2 year cap, we want a deportation blitz and a 30+ year ban on all immigration, asylum seekers and student/worker permits. We also want better pay with hours and benefits, labour shortage solved!

The Arab world are using the Palestinian people as martyrs. They won't take them in as refugees because they don't want to deal with the economic and social outcomes that EU and US have with asylum seekers. But they also don't won't to help them fight either. They will sit there and watch Palestinians boil in a pot. Then blame Israel when they are done, and do nothing to help. Some pals. Even Iran with the most to gain will do nothing, because they don't care about Palestinians just regional power.

No more UN refugees and asylum seekers in Canada. Refugees cost 4.5 Billion per year, and UN Asylum Seekers 1.2 billion per year in Canada; according to CRA, both are living parasitising the taxpayer's money. International students contribute over $22.3B per year to the Canadian economy – greater than exports of auto parts, lumber or aircraft. International graduates are also a source of key talent to help support Canada's future economic growth and counteract the country's aging demographic, according to the government of Canada. UN Refugees and UN Asylum Seekers: zero dollars forever. Simple maths.

What are people looking for in USA since there's also poverty and racism too, i thought India was economically better and able to sustain itself with its high population, i would understand asylum seekers who comes from war torn countries or poverty stricken countries, hence i don't know their circumstances. I'm pleased to be in my birth country with its challenges but hey we are at peace and just won rugby world cup. ❤??

How in the hell are the immigrants from the third world able to live in Toronto? The government must subsidize not only their wages but also their housing costs and much more. I don't see how else the africans could manage. The so-called asylum seekers depend on the taxpayers to cover their asses, even though the taxpayers can barely manage.

3 mill probably is an understatement, if 1 highjacked building (out of more than 500) in slum city jhburg resulted in more than 70 deaths.\nGov does not adhere to the UNs rules on refugees. SA therefore was the wrong choice for asylum seekers.\nThe UN also is silent on the anc not really interested in adhering to any rule of law. It leaves ordinary asylum seekers at the wrong end of the stick.

Not everyone can just be considered an asylum seeekr bec of too much crimes in their countries. Grow up! Crimes happen evrywhere ieven in the USa. So if our attitude is just to let everyone come in for free to our country because their own governments are unable to fix their law and order problems, we are fkd as a nation. True asylum seekers were vicitms of war like vietnam war, Ukraine, Iraq, afghanistan (bec our own US govt caused all the strifes). African countries with civil wars. gang or drug crimes dont count because those are also our problems here in the US. If you work in a hospital like me, you will realize that the illegals crossing the borders (i think they have more sophisticated means now) bring their whole families including very sick ageing parents, disabled family members. And guess what, we are taking care of everyone of them more than our own citizens. I have no problem helping people but if our government shows more biases and leninency to the illegals more than the US citizens/legal residents, then I find that problematic. My heart breaks when the social worker would pressure me to discharge frail, sickly aging pts within nte 48 hour time frame bec medicare wont cover them and they are not eligible forrehab facilities as their status are observationinstead if inpatients while the non-citizens can just drop their chronically ill family members bec they cant take care if them as they are all working. They wont even claim them bec they are “busy”.\nThey can just do whatever they want as they dont have to worry about paying for hospital bills or have credit companies go after them. We are also taking care of their US born children but they are not paying taxes. Our co’untry is in the brink if bankruptcy bec of misplaced sympathy. If we really want to help these people, give them work visa so they can be legal and taxable, or better help their countries to help with drug wars, etc. We cannot sustain these kind of unconditional financial bleed for so long. Before we know it, the whole population outside the Us, have transplanted themselves here for free and without fiscal responsibilities.

People like this are actually a big problème because they clog the asylum process with false claims and also make people suspicious of asylum seekers.

I'm Canadian and Prime Minister Trudeau is a snake. No one I know wants illegal immigrants here. We also don't want asylum seekers who are here to milk the tax payer. There was a recent local story of a Muslim family of ten from the middle east where the women just had her eleventh born here locally. The Canadian government pays $300 per kid, you do the math.

Its not Islamiphobia...they are just seeing what is happening in Europe....just like how Sweden is now the RAPE CAPITAL of the world...and also the largest importer of asylum seekers. where are the feminist cries for the poor women of Sweden?
