Dear Justin, 75 million Americans voted against Donald Trump in the recent election. We appreciate your speaking directly to us today and in recent speeches you have given. We know what a good ally you have been to the US and we also know your primary concern is to Canadian citizens. While many of us have done what we could do and we also know the current trade arrangement was negotiated with you by Donald Trump in his previous term which leaves many of us scratching our heads. For my part it deeply saddens me that this has happened and all we ask or all that I ask is that you remember those of us who did not vote for this. Slightly less than half of the country. When this is over, and it will end one day we look forward to breaking bread with Canada again.

As an American, I am ashamed of our president. I apologize to the Canadian people and want them to know that the vast majority of Americans do not support what our president is doing. I am never a fan of our Prime Minister but today, he got my full respect and admiration. We all know it is not about Fentanyl or illegal immigrants crossing from Canada as little as they were. If you think businesses are going to pay for the increased cost of importing and are not going to scale back their labor forces are raise prices you don't have an understanding of business and finance.
