Canada is over-regulated and over-taxed, and turns increasingly to the public sector to perform essential services, which greatly inflates the price of those services. A sort of positive feedback look has begun where any political party who creates public sector positions and promises to maintain them gains the allegiance of a powerful unionized voter block, essentially for life. But in order to pay the workers they need to raise taxes, which negatively impacts private sector growth, investment, and profitability. It is not possible to sustain the growing public sector at the expense of a dwindling private sector for long. Scaling back the public sector payroll is difficult, however, because it's just not as easy as laying people off due to their powerful unions, and the fact that this would be seen as a signal of a weakening economy, further scaring off potential investors. I would propose that no new public sector positions be created without eliminating old ones (essentially halting spending and taxation increases without creating a massive unemployment problem) until the year 2050 so that the balance between public and private sectors can re-establish itself.

Don’t worry, she’ll be singing a completely different tune this time next year when those P2025 measures begin to be implemented. It’s just too bad that people with common sense will be forced to suffer along side the people who voted for the chaos that is coming. \n\nI am also amazed by how many people voted, THEN decided to look up the candidates proposed policies. Take some time to look up all of the stories of people who are contacting state officials to find out how to change their vote…as if THAT has ever been possible. ?

Are we talking about a mass deportation of people who came into this country illegally? The funding and the resources are the problems. Trump is not going to be able to deport as many as he proposes. If some of them have been here and started an American-born family, then they should get special consideration, but if it's decided they get deported it's really not the fault of the government, it solely rests on the shoulders of those who come in our country and break our laws. If the idea is to become an American Citizen breaking the law is not the first thing to do to swear allegiance. It's confusing. My hope is that we get this issue behind us with fairness and compassion, without sending the message that you can just come here without due process.

The funny thing is that when the Rs destroy everything, they won't have dems to blame...they have all 3 branches....there are 3 things that are going to happen: 1- there going to try to take credit for JoBi economy (short term), 2- since they have no significant policies, nothing good will get done, economy is going to crash (mi-term) 3- there going to try to blame dems for there incompetencies (ever lasting). last time Trump was in the office and as a way to thank Jesus, Trump did make it so 1M died by defunding healthcare and say covid was just a myth and later sade it was just a mild flu. As an Immigrant living in Germany since 9 years I can agree with most of the stuff proposed as improvement but rather than less Bureaucracy is that this Bureaucracy at least work!! Is really hard to get in touch with the immigration offices and the communication during the process of renewing or getting a visa is a real pain and can last several months with no response !!

Canada has a population of 38.93m and 16.4m homes. Clearly homes with less than 3 residents are the problem. I propose tax credits for homes with 3 or more residents.

I'm an international student. I believe this dilemma could have been prevented by having an online interview with each temporary resident applicant, especially students and their spouses, before making an entry decision. I'm not criticizing what the immigration department has been doing, but proposing an effective way that only the right people are coming into the country. This could massively reduce the number of immigrants coming in. However, I believe it is unfair that students and their spouses are left hopeless after spending tons of money on Canadian education.

India should propose a population swap with Canada. There's enough room in Canada for 1.5 billion people.

Isreal has proposed a two state solution and was rejected. The Palestinians want Isreal and that's not happening. So it is what is is. Isreal will make Gaza uninhabitable and this will no longer be an issue. If the Arab world pushed Palestinians into excepting a two state solution this would be an entirety different situation. Another transplant that has no clue about Toronto. These trailer park transplant don't realize that its the small towns they come from that send all these addicts, alcoholics and criminals to Toronto. For decades small towns have been dumping their most valuable residents on buses and sending them to Toronto. And whenever the government proposed to these small towns to build resources for their families and community like safe injection sites and homeless shelters they straight out refuse to allow it in their community. I am shocked to learn that people coming on Tourist visa (from developing countries) to Canada can apply for Job here and once hired can change visa status while in Canada. Never have I ever heard about this while staying in UK on work permit for 4 years that UKBA /Home Office has ever approved such low quality visa that Trudeau is flexible about. Neither Harper's/Kenney's administration (under which I immigrated to Canada back in 2014) has ever approved such cockamamie change of visa status. This is unfair to those who paid all legal fees/been working hard and never relied on the benefits proposed by the Canadian..yikes!Turdo has made Canada into a 3rd world dump...

I lived in Spain with my much younger Colombian wife who passed away in 2019. My pension income is sufficient for me to live since I returned to Canada and I have better than adequate healthcare and dental care! The short story is \nTurd and the Turdettes were elected because Harpoons and his band of buttkissing bootlickers were self-serving incompetents. Now Turd, who has never been competent to be PM, which his long list of scandals should easily prove, is going to compel the election of another incompetent self-serving politician. Canadians never learn, switching from one idiot to another as the country spirals into the sewer. The proposed level of immigration and climate change options will turn Canada into a third world country? Maybe we can call it Turdland and then we will all be Turds!
