Yeah as a Canadian who lives in the Greater Toronto Area, I can appreciate how immigration as a concept is good. But Canada is at a point now where a large influx of immigrants are shocking our economy and dropping our quality of life. And the majority of these immigrants come from one country. No hate to India, as a half Indian myself, but when you bring these people over in droves, they feel it unnecessary to assimilate as they all coalesce with each other - where they feel comfortable. So you have the majority of them who don't speak our language, who don't carry our values, and don't feel that any of it is required. And it makes you feel, as a Canadian like you're being taken over. We want a lower immigration rate, and we want a greater spread of people from across the world. I don't want Canada to become India.

Mortgage fraud has also increased DRASTICALLY since the influx of new immigrants coming to Canada within the last 10 years. And who is doing the fraud? 95% of the fraud cases are new immigrants from India. There are many good people that come from india, but there are FAR more than don't assimilate, have no interest in ever assimilating, and they abuse our social systems, stealing from every Canadian as well as cause our quality of life to drastically drop. Our healthcare systems are beyond overloaded and bursting at the seams, our housing prices have skyrocketed, our house and auto insurance rates have also gone through the roof. And speaking of going through the roof, numerous houses were lit on fire late last year from new immigrants irresponsibly lighting off MASSIVE amounts of fireworks during Diwali, then you have the crowds of Indian families going to our previously pristine beaches and digging pits, which they then proceeded to use as their bathroom. People were actually selling "Beach $hitter" t-shirts because the problem was getting so common. Immigration is ok, but the amount of people the Canadian government has allowed into Canada, ALL from totally different cultural origins, in such a short amount of time was never, and will never be sustainable. In my opinion, Canada needs to full stop close its borders to anyone immigrating for at minimum 5-10 years, to allow the countries infostructure time to catch up with the masses of people who have already come into the country. But that will never happen with the liberals at the helm, they would literally get rid of the whole concept of a "border" if they could. Elbows up ya dorks!

I am so sick of this shit... you guys act like white people didn't do this exact same thing years ago but because they aren't white and have a different culture then "most" Canadians it becomes a problem. Canada accepts a lot of immigrants more then the US but if the US had a less strict immigration policy it would probably look very similar. Indians are generally good people some might have issues but hey no one ain't perfect. Now the issue is I prefer migrants to assimilate e.g. I am a japanese migrant in canada so I decided to do things to be canadian speak English, Go skiing and live like everyone else Not building my own japan town or whatever. Also the second issue is Mass migration because these people once they come they start promoting it back home so more people come so it pretty much a point of no return. Most of this issue is caused by north Indians who find it hard to assimilate especially the Sikhs. And the issue was caused by the canadian government who prioritized quantity over quality. As an indian immigrant there are times I feel disgusted by their behavior. Due to this behavior the nicer Indians who hold up canadian values are getting the same discrimination. Me myself is a catholic indian who had to leave the country because of the religious bullshit caused by north Indians. We were not even allowed to have a peaceful Christmas in India. As I moved to Canada I faced more racism from north Indians as I eat beef and pork and dont speak hindi. It breaks my heart everytime when I get discriminated from people thinking that i am a punjabi. I just want to live a normal life and follow my faith. Its sad that they dont let us live peacefully in india and in Canada.

As a Canadian, one that lives in GTA at that. Thank you for this video! We have two first languages (French & English)..yet speaking Punjabi is now an asset. Tim Hortons & McDonald’s used to be for our youth…now they can’t get jobs. The one thing we all loved growing up is the fact that our country was so diverse/multicultural. So many people actually born here either move further or have been leaving the country because theres damn near no more Canada. Here is a aggressively neutral take as a Canadian elementary school teacher in an area with an extremely high Indian population (around half our school is ethnically Indian). It is also my own opinion, and some opinions on the internet suck: The good: Cultural integration IS possible (the Indian families are more into hockey than the white families where I live), tons of cross-cultural friendships, beautiful blend of cultural celebrations, top achievers are almost always second-generation immigrants, kids are growing up to love their parents' culture while also loving Canada's, many fantastic families who engage their children well and raise them very respectfully, religious temples that will feed an amazing meal to ANYBODY who walks into them (as long as you cover your hair), low rates of family trauma (drugs, abuse, divorce, etc.), families that take care of their elders The rough: Not all families are interested in being Canadian (some families just send their kids to Indian speaking private schools, live in Indian areas, and only seem to practice Indian ways of life - what's even the point?), many Indian families retreated into their home-lives during Covid which removed their children from integration opportunities, a very small percentage of the families are absolutely TERRIBLE at parenting and treat their sons and daughters with different levels of respect, multi-family households pay a single property tax which makes the contribution per taxpayer much smaller (while social benefits are equal to anybody else), some crime such as extortion and gang activity has been imported into the country, some individuals' disregard for rules and laws (setting fireworks on Diwali in the middle of a dry, grassy field is just plain stupid), some Indian communities seem to vote blindly for their own ilk during local elections without any regard for policy or experience, LMIA immigration program has been corrupted by the nepotism of bad actors and the greed of large corporations (wages can be federally subsidized which makes it cheaper to hire immigrants than the 16 year old down the street). Many of these families were simply making good choices for their own family, so don't blame the people themselves for this - blame the government that allowed it to fester unsustainably. I'll continue to stick up for the majority of these beautiful families though - haters be darned! Watching these kids grow up gives me some hope for humanity!

I have a sociology background and I'm from the Ottawa area in Canada. I'm legitimately surprised to actually had some people actually speaking so openly against the Indian invasion. Many Canadians could lose their jobs over having an opinion that goes against the current state of immigration. Canadians don't actually have the Freedom of Speech many Americans enjoy.

It is ok to want Canada to have Canadian culture. Canada is a free for all and if these peoples countries had people invade, not speak their language or care to involve them, 100% they wouldn't like it. If you don't want to be Canadian, go back to where you came from. It's getting harder and harder allow this shit to continue.

I've lived in Surrey BC for most of my life, I'm an avid outdoors enthusiast and like most Canadians respect and admire nature's beauty. Years ago they built a pond on an undeveloped lot next to my neighborhood. It was a beautiful addition to the town as it allowed wildlife a place to find shelter, while giving us a little nature loop within walking distance. On multiple occasions I have caught people dumping literal truckloads of their households' trash into this small forest on a backroad I frequent. When confronted they laugh it off, and generally don't appear to see that what they're doing is wrong. The pond itself is also filled with crap, despite the posted signs informing of the harm this causes the ecosystem. From my (and most people who live here) experience it is overwhelmingly a single demographic that is responsible for the uncleanness in our shared spaces. Any BC resident can tell you about the access to beautiful nature we are privileged to, and I hate more than anything to see it being desecrated in the way I have. Most people will not speak up about this.

As a Canadian born, brown resident of Brampton, it truly sucks to see the Canadian culture we all love be completed obliterated by large scale, unchecked immigration from India specifically. In the gym, grocery store and most other common spaces, people speak Punjabi, not English. Truly horrible what happened to what was once such an awesome country and the worst part of it is, nobody, no policy maker will ever face justice for the cultural destruction they have caused. Sometimes though, I think, maybe Canada and Canadians dug their own grave. They/we voted in Liberal leadership time and time and time again, even when we saw our country being destroyed, in front of our very eyes.

It's completely destroying the Canadian youth employment, aswell. Corporations are being incentivized by the Canadian government to hire temporary foreign workers so our youth unemployment rates have gone up to 15%+. Walk into a McDonald's, Taco Bell, Tim Hortons, etc, and you'll see nothing but Indians or Bangladeshis who barely speak English. In small towns you don't really see this, but in any major city like Vancouver or GTA you will.

It's cool to have East Indians here in Canada... but for Christ sake, they better assimilate to the Canadian way, speak English or French and respect the indigenous culture. 🤦 If they left India, then they should leave their past behind. 🤦

In New Brunswick, the fast foods runs on Indian labor. You will notice that they all speak English. As someone who experienced the Canadian immigration system, I can tell you that the way they are doing it is far superiors the way the US does it. They actually try to determine if you're going to be a detriment to the society you're moving into. For example, if you are unable to prove that you won't be financially reliant on the state, they won't let you in. There are probably exceptions for refugees.

There are two parts to this story and it's truth. There are people that came to Canada for a true life but there are many more that came to Canada because there is a system. Most people don't even know, unless you listen to the many that are in shelters and on social media, most have been told that Canada is a country which will pay you and cover all your housing. There is a code of silence which does not always come from inside Canada. It's the code on how to take advantage of a countries blindness by abusing it's Government financial Immigration and Refugee programs. 1. Make a claim, any claim as it will take years before Canada figures out your claim is false. If all does not go well, have a baby on the land. This way you can't be deported and the Canadian government will give you more money because you have a child. There are many more but I will not write them to place them into the open world but there are many more tactics of abuse, Student Visa is but one of them, the next is Migrants. If you are not near the system but you listen closely to the stories, you will hear the real truth and you will also hear the underground truth which people speak about behind closed doors.

The problem is immigration back in day was a luxury in India so only riches made it outside and they were rich compared to others after independence because they were more pro british and served them. So it was easy for them to immigrate and assimilate into your culture. Now you see many poor people also immigrating because immigration became more accessible, its just like the touchscreen phones, before only rich people had them, but later and now everyone has it. Plus your overly liberal and the stupid point system lets anyone enter the country if they meet a specific criteria, they barely check their english, background, crime record, etc. Also, living in India is a survival, or a nightmare for short. Especially for the poor people in the up north, and so they go to these shady agents who claim that they can send him or her to Canada, UK, Australia where ever they want in exchange for some money. Sometimes these agents turnout to be scams and sometimes not, then these students apply to some fake university that has no campus in Canada and select a course thats easy. Then once approved they come to canada, don’t go to university and make some other indian friends who say they have contacts with some job providers and through that the students get their jobs at the fast food joints and shopping malls. The mindset with which these students come to Canada is that I want to get a simple job as soon as I land in Canada and through that job I can get a PR. They never go to assimilate or discover the culture, they come because the country looks nice, has resources, and will provide them with a good salary so that they send some money back home to their parents as compared to low paying jobs in India, which too are super competitive. They still like the indian way of life, the culture, the food, the attire, just not in India. Thats why you’ll never see these students eating at anything other than a Indian Punjabi Restaurant or a fast food joint, they will never make white friends, they will never try to change the way they speak and look at Canadians, they will never try to change their driving habits. In conclusion, more poor people and students migrating, paired with their mindset of “I want everything to be Indian just not in India but in a place that looks better” paired with their low interest in actually learning and working better jobs is what makes them a bad immigrant group. But thats not to say that all are like that its only some and mostly Punjabis/ other North Indians that have this mindset. The reason why the Indian group in USA is much better and successful is because they are mostly of south indian descent. Those people are far more educated, actually respect the law of the land. And fun fact: The stereotypical Indian Accent originated from USA mainly and reason why many indians say that they don’t speak in that accent is because that particular stereotypical accent is present in Indian people who come from the states of Andra Pradesh and Telegana, which is is where most of the Indians in USA are actually from. Good journalism, both sides being presented here, the reasons why it happened, the stereotypes. While I don't really have a strong opinion about Brampton being mostly Indians, I do have an opinion that Canadians should condemn other areas as well that are majority of immigrants. Vaughn area is filled with Chinese people no one makes a fuss about it. They ain't speaking english, they aint serving American junk food everywhere, yet Indians are a problem. The community has vices, but justifying xenophobia with that is awful. European descendant people came here and took over native Canadians. Can't think how it must've felt for them. That was unarguably way worse than the current immigration system. My point being its a problem against a specific community is not really being uncomfortable for the sake of the country but purely out of spite and racism. I can see the concerns but not when they stereotype every Indian.

I agree many things, but not agreeing to “ not paying tax”, “not working hard” & “just cross the border illegally”, most new Brampton residents pay high taxes as most work at jobs and payroll money comes after tax. Maybe minor fraction like (0.01%) might be working in cash not paying tax. It’s just their frustration speaking. Almost all Indian immigrants are not refugee that they come free to Canada and live in hotels for free. Indian immigrants are economic immigrants, who came here legally with investing big money and working in country and giving back. I was the lawyer invited to this interview, and after reading some comments celebrating the end of the PEQ, I feel the need to clarify a few things. The people affected by this are not “abusing the system.” this was the program for people that came here legally and are working. To qualify for the PEQ, they had to be working full time, they pay taxes, they speak the language. They’re fixing our roads, keeping hospitals running, welding, machining, doing the jobs most of us take for granted every single day. The hard truth is that Canadians have stopped having enough children, and we simply don’t have enough young people with the skills to fill these roles. Yes, we absolutely should invest more in education and trade programs for our youth — my employer clients are begging young people to become mechanics, welders, skilled workers, often in the regions. Most don’t take those jobs, and even when they do, training takes two to three years. Our industries need people now, or parts of the economy will stall, and that affects all of us as Quebecers and Canadians. These workers are not asking for charity. They are already on the front lines keeping key sectors alive. Ending programs like the PEQ doesn’t punish “illegals” or “free riders”; it punishes people who are already integrated, working, and contributing to the society we all share. Also, all they are asking is for the new rules to not be applied to them retroactively, only for those coming new into the country, otherwise it is rug pulling those already here that played by the rules, and when the government does it to us we don't like, on principle of fairness, whatever you think of the numbers, too high too low, doesn't matters, it is the least we can all get behind as humans.

i am an indian who has never left his country and it makes me sad that my countrymen are ruining other countries as well. if you can't speak english, you have no right to stay there, as simple as that, and it is strange how Canada is ruined by Punjabis, sikh terrorists in particular, as you can see all these are Punjabi sikh families, yet the hate is given to Indians and specifically to Hindus. As an indian, I feel sad to see that this is Canada, nobody would want anyone's country to change like this. pls deport most of them, they can't even speak English. Almost 50 years in Canada , I was forced to assimilate, hide my culture, religion, language , Canada is more racist . Italians in Little Italy, Greeks in Little Greece , Europeans that cannot speak " Canadian" why are they not a threat ? I am from India came to Canada legally (gone through 7 months of processing and waiting , submitted countless documents , photos , chat history to prove relation status and professional experience, literally submitted all my life story) to obtain PR and come to Canada just to realize that people without any of these come from different parts of the world especially India bypassing the system and living better life working cash jobs and doing random stuff. When i went to take driving license first time, An Indian origin guy rejected my application saying that my Indian License wasn't looking original enough , where I have seen people who couldn't even speak basic English were applying to get license to drive trucks. It is sad to see how many of our people are bringing a lot of 'Indianness' to this country and live like it is their own turf. I have met many young and middle aged individuals who call themselves students who doesn't even have a clue of what they are studying. It is unbelievable how people of certain status live their life partying and enjoying breaking all sort of rules , dropping out of college etc. when people who are here legally and many Canadians struggling to pay rent / mortgages / insurances etc. Don't even want to talk about job security , its a joke. Also, did you see the reply to the Filipino student who voiced frustration? “You guys make up some of the most cleanest restaurants I’ve ever been to.” That kind of response speaks to a lack of respect for international students. To many in the Canadian workforce, international students and migrants are treated as disposable labor — steered toward low‑ and middle‑income jobs. Yes, fraud should be dealt with, but it’s lazy and unfair to claim that all Indians or international students come here through fraud. If that logic ruled, we’d have to start deporting every non‑Indigenous person — which ignores the whole reality of colonization.

As a Brampton raised kid, I lived there from 97' till about 2023, I'm caribbean and we have a large indian/muslim/hindu population too on our island. (Trinidad) and the issue with Brampton is: Indian people will gladly intergrade, but Canadian borns won't welcome it. Walk with me- I'll use food for an example. Every other grocery store is middle eastern/asian/african in Brampton and its becomes harder finding more western style food. I love international food, I cook it often but if you're used to burgers and pizza and only know how to make spaghetti it feels like a 'take over' These people want what they want and even though all these places are free for you to also enjoy they don't like it cause it's too 'foreign' to them. It doesn't mean there isnt still a No Frills or a Walmart or Metro, but because the african and halal store are closer and more frequent it seems like more of a convenience to others and not to you. When people say we're multi-cultural, they mean 'yeah he's brown or black but he keeps it to himself' They aren't going to go to that Sikh temple giving free food, and only go to the church at the beginning even though they're welcome to both. It's the same for Diwali and other things, white people dont care to be interested in those things, and just wonder why they get to have it at all. I do agree with that indian lady at the beginning though, with lax immigration you come in feeling like you don't need to do anything to assimilate. They're doing themselves a disservice by only helping themselves. I hate stereotypes being perpetuated onto people but like that Pakistani guy said too, you live in a bubble and you don't pay attention to that. You can go days without speaking english to someone. You can't immigrate somewhere and shut out everyone already there. I get you may not feel welcome by the white people like the ones in the beginning and so you dont mess with them, and its easy not to. But there needs to be openness with helping everyone benefit from multi-culturalism and not just some of us. There are issues with immigrants not wanting to go outside their bubble and for canadians not to want to either, It'll be hard to (with the current issues we're facing as a country) to actually blend together more.

Two generations ago (50-60 years ago) the Indians who came to Canada, with no family in Canada had excellent qualifications. They had to come with jobs waiting for them in universities, engineering firms, architectural firms and hospitals. The students were Masters or Ph.D. with full scholarship. They went on to build the country but they were minorities fighting the occasional racism on the street (as the woman in the green t- shirt says). Today, as a result of Trudeau's naïveté about the level of corruption in India, there's a huge influx of relatively unqualified Indians arriving and not being able to assimilate into Canadian society because they do not have good job qualifications. They end up living in ghettos and turn to crime. We must fix that by being much more selective of Indian immigrants. As someone of the Indian diaspora, I'd also like to say that there are those Indo Canadians ("brown folks") who want nothing to do with the Brampton or Surrey ghettos. Many of us are completely secular, having no religion and share nothing with these people fighting around temples and yelling at each other in Punjabi or Hindi. We speak English and French and vote in the elections.

One person is direct and clear and the other one is using political-speak which is intentionally unclear. If you have the well-being of Canadian citizens as your top priority, why would you not be clear and direct? Even if being honest is embarrassing or inconvenient, it is the expectation of every Canadian citizen.

Education is a Migration Pathway that is why education has increasingly become a gateway for migration, especially in countries like Canada, the UK, Australia, and New Zealand. These countries benefit in multiple ways: Economic gains from international tuition fees. Young labor to support aging populations. Potential future immigrants who are already educated and adapted to the country. Governments often design these systems intentionally — international students are part of their immigration and economic growth strategies, not just passive victims or actors. India has a massive, educated, English-speaking population. India has the largest pool of college graduates who are English-proficient, making them eligible and attractive for global mobility. Canadian colleges and universities actively recruit in India because it's a guaranteed market. Some Canadians have prioritized volume over quality, which has led to systemic issues. You are not alone England, Australia and New Zealand are milking Indians too

It’s just so lovely how some people insist they own this country, even though their great-great-grandparents were, historically speaking, the original undocumented immigrants. Nothing says 'true Canadian' quite like a conveniently selective memory about history! And speaking of people who 'established' things: Have you noticed all the homeless folks? They’re overwhelmingly non-brown people. It’s almost baffling—here they are, the supposed descendants of 'pioneers' who’ve had centuries to 'build and settle,' and yet they apparently still couldn't manage to establish anything for themselves. I guess that superior heritage and centuries of head-start didn't quite translate into a sturdy roof, did it? How wonderfully ironic

God! Please, i don,t want help from this medical personal..... I don,t understant 70% of his indian english. What WHY, i did switch dental office in my area, because, owner( specialist from india) , ALL dentist assistants from the same country, 99% patients from the same country( india). Now i have to drive for dental help almost 40 min, all dental offices close to me, owners the same. Euqual opportunities? NO, whey didn,t hear about this. Where is canadian,english speaking specialists, pharmasy personal?

The Canadian government is also at fault! Look at our CBSA… 90% of them are born outside Canada and if they get security clearance in their own country then they are fine to come and work in Canada without Canada looking into it. Many of them can barely speak any English at all. Or French. Our government and the government policies in Canada are a joke.

Having lived in brampton as an immigrant i can personally say that it is no longer a Canadian city. No one speaks English or french, no one dresses western, no one knows the canadian national anthem and every one carries and indian or Pakistan flag....

Everybody in Canada that are real Canadians born here know this is a scam people buying tractor-trailer licenses people buying jobs people buying citizenships by marrying people for money families hiding relatives working in family businesses we all know it go to your corner store you see it people that can't speak English convenience stores people are driving for Uber can't speak English people working at Tim Hortons can't speak English and it's really funny that even when I go to Tim Hortons they play Indian music they talk behind the counter in Indian why this is not rocket science we know what's going on we know it started with the liberal government this is all just a scam by Jeemeet Trudeau he even dressed up as an Indian what does that tell you he makes special trips to India what does that tell you and our borders are opened up to anybody from India to come in as a temporary foreign worker yeah just think about it Canada and don't forget elbows up elbows up 💪

I was born and raised in Brampton (but of South Asian descent via the Caribbean) and it pains me to see how the city has changed over the past 20 years. I was raised to be a proud Canadian and to be grateful for the opportunities that this country has afforded my family and I. I am a Canadian first, and Guyanese/Indian second. The issue I have with the city is that you have enclaves of ethnically homogenous people who refuse to assimilate - I once went into a Tim Hortons at Peter Robertson and Dixie, and was laughed at by the cashiers because I could not speak Hindi/Punjabi (despite being brown). There is nothing wrong with immigration - it makes the country stronger. HOWEVER, that only happens if the immigrants work to collectively advance the interests of the country and accept the rules/societal norms of the country they now call home. Instead, they find ways to circumvent/exploit the system - they are less interested on making society better, and more interested in individual advancement. I live in Professors Lake, which historically was one of the more affluent areas of the city. Now, there are several houses on my street that have essentially become boarding houses, divided into units of four with 10+ people living inside. I fully understand why white Canadians are feeling displaced, and it pains me that anti-immigrant sentiment has soured the way people look at me (despite being born in Canada).

The government of Canada allowed these Indians to come to Canada in excessive large numbers. They abuse every system of Canada, change the culture of Canada, buy out all businesses in Canada, and employ only their own Indians. They don't drive for licenses, they own the depot, and they don't need credits for loans at the banks because they own the banks. They fight out and make it difficult for all other ethnic groups in Canada. Justin Trudeau seems to have allowed 90% of Indians to immigrate to Canada and 10% of other ethnic backgrounds combined. Trudeau has caused the Canadian culture to be transformed into Indian culture. Canada is no longer Canada. it's become India, and it's extremely unfair to all other ethnic groups. Their agenda is for Canada to be 100% Indians. Canada is in BIG TROUBLE. The Indians are in every organizations and industries, including Immigration, buying out all the franchises, businesses and are the ones fighting against all other ethnic cultured groups, making the system more difficult for other nations to migrate to Canada. Even crime has increased. Canadians need to wake up before Canada totally disappears. The Indians are messing up the Canadian economy. The majority of Indians are here through false documents and don't even speak proper English or even understand the language. Canada is in TROUBLE. They are highly Discriminative. Only making sure Canada only employs Indians in all sectors, not Blacks, not Whites, not Chinese or other Ethnic groups, but only Indians themselves. It seems the Indians are seeking to totally take over Canada and become a world power. This is my view and that of many true concerned Canadian citizens and professionals who care about this country, Canada. The culture has changed and become DISCRIMINATIVE. These Indians are Extremely Extremely RACIST

As a brit living in Calgary, who is currently trying to jump through several hoops to try and gain PR, it's super tough and disheartening to see so many people here who don't speak english, don't work in a skilled profession, and don't engage with the Canadian community or culture. To expand on that, I have a great job in construction estimating on $85k a year, I speak fluent english (of course), I rent my own condo, my partner is Canadian and I have multiple Canadian friends. Yet, still I'm not convinced my PR visa will ever be granted. Then I walk into Tim Hortons or Subway and the foreign workers there can't understand a word I'm saying... how is that right??

I saw it first hand in my workplace. A major delivery company (not Amazon). Used to be mostly Canadians, until about 2 years ago. The majority are now young Indian guys who speak their own language amongst themselves. Even the new manager speaks Hindi. Work conditions have worsened because these people are willing to do much more for low wages. They drive erratically and treat the country like their playground to make money. This is the future of Canada.
