Good thing I’m an adult. Mom is from Sweden and dad Mexican. Both not from here, dad moved back to Mexico. If I was 14, I wonder where I would have been deported too?

I agree it should end however let me explain my situation I'm white American I got into a relationship with a Mexican woman a few years ago, her parents decided to cross illegally 26 years ago and hire people to smuggle her and her siblings in again 26 years ago she's now 31 we got married and have a son together. I own my own property in the boonies up north in my state I'm curious as to what is going to happen to her? Because I will give one warning before me and my other family who live with me will open up the tree line at any and all trespassers I will not let the government take my wife period. I'm just concerned

Our system has been abused for too long. My mom worked as a nurse's aide in a hospital for many years. This was in south Texas. I remember her telling me that Mexicans (with money) would come to have their babies here and then go back to Mexico. When the children were grown they could come and live here easily. I remember it pissed.me off. It didnt matter if they paid for the delivery. They were still cheating our system. I'm all for denying these people citizenship. We should follow Germany's example.

I’m an American citizen who was born in the United States (Hawaii). Everyone has the right to support or not support President Trump’s plans for mass deportation. The interviewer asked this Mexican American woman her opinion and she’s entitled to her opinion. There are a lot of Hispanic people who agree with Trump. I don’t think she’s turning her back on her family by saying “it’s okay” if they get deported. I think she’s respecting and supporting the rules of Immigration laws to have legal documentation to live in the United States. Rather than disrespecting and ignoring Immigration laws the way her family did. I think in a way she’s saying “it’s okay” her family gets deported because they deserve to be penalized for breaking Immigration laws for entering and staying in America for 20 or 30 years illegally which is valid and understandable. It comes down to the phrase “You commit the crime you do the time” whether it’s family or not. I believe she has a leg to stand on because she followed Immigration laws, received her Green Card and is living in the United States legally. If a family member of mine committed a crime and were put in jail or deported back to their country I would say “it’s okay” too. You reap what you sow.

I don’t know who needs to know this but as of 2022 if I’m not mistaken backed by the federal banks and the global banks, Mexico is not or no longer considered a third world country for the record it’s considered an upper business class country and it’s on the rise. It’s number five in the world for importing the exporting Number one is the USA ?? . I just wanna let that sink in. I really do hope that President Trump and the president of Mexico I hope they both come to an agreement because it will not be beneficial for both parties. At least the one who’s gonna fill it. The most will be US. It’s just gonna force Mexico to look elsewhere not to mention Mexico was back by the US dollar to an extent, and it also has the back of the euro force along with the Chinese currency Mexico forced to be reckoned with not to mention all the car companies that are being Located in Mexico cars that enter in and exit Mexico in the car market not to mention Mexico now has the biggest cobalt mining probably in the world if I’m not mistaken Mexico is now in demand. Mexico knows this now but it’s not stronger than the US but if the US no longer cooperates with Mexico in Mexico, no longer cooperates with the US well it’s gonna be pretty sad not to mention the amazing history they have Like when Mexico along with Brazil defended the US when they were crippled by Japan and when Mexico went to help liberate during the Nazi invasion in Austria, Mexico has a great history of warfare and defending this country as well. I’m proud to be American and I love my Mexican heritage. I just hope it doesn’t go too far

The prices of fresh produce will shoot up - but Mexican produce is covered in pesticides that are banned in the USA. You don't hear about it much in mainstream media but they use the most toxic and cancer-causing chemicals on those berries, grapes, and veggies you are eating from Mexico. Other things like cars have no quality control. I'm OK with us cutting back on imports if we have to.

The fastest way to get your ass kicked in Mexico is to blame Mexico for the drug problem in the United States. Because the Mexican people firmly believe, and this is 110% true, it is actually the drug addicts in America that destroyed Mexico. I used to live there and I know what I'm talking about - an instant argument will break out if you say anything about Mexico drowning America with drugs. Because it's like - what came first - the drugs or the drug addicts? Mexicans just can't figure that one out. Yeah, and this goes back a hundred years or more too.

The number one problem with deporting undocumented people. Where to?\n\nLatino, speaking Spanish, sure must be Mexican!\n\nI'm grabbing my popcorn for when the deported numbers are turning out way lower than people expect.\n\nDifficult questions don't get solved with simple solutions. But I guess it's hard to understand if you vote for populists.

It really isn't a difficult matter to solve. 1) Get the actual border under control. 2) Tell Mexico; and demonstrate it to them if necessary, that you'll close the border entirely if they don't get a grip on their own southern border. The result = Poof, goes the Mexican economy. 3) Round up the criminals.\n\nDo those 3 things and you'll bring some sanity back into the system which is all anyone really wants. It won't mean 11M get deported; perhaps 1-2M at most, but if there's a sense of order again, I can't see anyone caring. Then we can talk about a possible path to citizenship for the rest.

And another thing she don't realize is. They don't just come to your house and say okay. You guys get together and get your stuff. We're gonna put you in a bus and take you back to the border. No, they violently arrest you like your criminal. And throw you in jail for months sometimes years at a time waiting to be deported. And if you think you'll all be deported at once, you got another thing coming. The man might go and jump. The woman might go in July. The kids might go separately next year. If you don't believe me. I saw it with my own eyes in 2019. I was locked up in Colorado. I watched them raid construction sites hospitals. Numerous other businesses arresting hard work in Mexican people. Imagine all the nurses and workers at hospitals that are from other countries. I watched them arresting nurses. Arresting tab drivers Uber drivers. I watched them raid schools and arrest children. I watched them put these poor people in jails with real criminals. All the immigrants loved me. I was actually in a federal and ICE facility. So I literally saw all of the immigrants. I protected them from the racist white people. I'm from Tampa Florida, so I'm used to the jails and prisons being majority, black guys. But in Colorado, it's white supremace, gangs and Mexican gangs. What's even more sickening? Is people from Washington would come in and take some of the Indians out. And when they came back, I would ask them questions and they said that the government people would get information on their family back in India and see if they could pay 50k to stay in America. It was sickening. I found out that what they were doing was deporting. Poor people and the people that have money back in their country. They have their families send money and let them stay. I saw it with my own eyes.

You said your Mexican American then your loyalty lies with your Mexican half. Get the hell back to your home country if that's what you identify with primarily country I'm an American / English/ German/ Hungarian/ Ukrainian/. But I'm American first!! QUE???? I’m a Mexican American too. This lady reminds me of one of my tias who basically gave away that she also voted for trump. How could you do that to your own family? It literally takes YEARS, DECADES for so many people to even get citizenship. But this lady is okay deciding the lives of other people because for her, getting her citizenship was easy. It’s not easy for most people. And so many people die trying to do it legally. And our government demonizes them for it.

I'm Hispanic, 3rd gen American. My great grandparents were born in Mexico, my grandparents were born in Texas in the 1920s. Anyway, I grew up an hour from the Mexican border. I don't know any family that lives in Mexico. IDK why these media pundits feel that because I'm Hispanic, I would want an open border. I'm as American as anyone else. There is a legal way to get into this country. Follow the law like this lady did.

Like I explained, to those who say this will sour the us and canada's relationship. Americans don't care because even though Canada is less than 50% white, in they minds its still a majority white nation. That's why you don't see the BUILD A WALL etc, like you see with mexico, because even though the majority of immigrants crossing into the us from Mexico, might have been Mexican in the early 2000's, now that's not the case, 300k Colombians in one years, 175k indians, 75k turks, 150k, from Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal, Afghanistan, 500k from Russia and Ukraine since the war began, 200k from ecuador, 75k Chinese per year etc etc. And they scream, build a wall, and make mexico pay for it. Because mexico is less than 20% white. At this point with all the immigrants canada gives citizenship too, mexico is probably more white than canada at this point or will be in the near future. I started having the idea of moving abroad for a few years now. Being born in the US to Mexican parents, I’m very thankful for living a good life in the states as I’m about to graduate with my masters degree soon. Being 24, I have already traveled to 30 countries since I started going with my father 10 years ago. With where everything is going here in the US, I don’t feel comfortable continuing my life in the states. I haven’t done much research but definitely something for me to look into within the next 5 years. Like you said, it’s not an easy decision to make.

I'm a senior female in a small BC city. We have a college and university. Much volunteering. I've studied Spanish and have Mexican friends. My neighborhood church and CMHA feed people 5 days a week. We welcome newcomers with conversation classes. Why not encourage newcomers to settle in towns like ours?

It is a global issue. I’m for legal immigration of all levels but the US cannot manage these astronomical numbers. It’s a huge unbalanced burden in inner cities where locals need help but don’t get what just illegally crossing gets you and your kids. It’s taking from the already have nots. It’s easy for elites to theorize but tone deaf to those dealing with it. It’s all about balance so everyone benefits. Currently the Mexican cartels are the only winners.

I always thought we should pay Mexicans to stay in Mexico and make Mexico great. Instead of us paying for everything under the sun for them in dollars, we could have paid them in pesos to build housing, rec centers, community centers, churches, hospitals, roads, etc .. .. Last time I checked Mexicans can’t enter without a visa Canada your material is very wrong on that. I’m not understanding your statement that people are coming by bus from Canada to the US. They will get stopped at the border and be asked for documents to enter- I’m not understanding the bus schemes you are talking about! Can you explain to us how are they crossing the border with the bus? Generally if you cross the territory of another country none can stop you from using the transportation available in that country the drivers are not in the wrong here and are not obligated to check the passengers for a visa. It’s not like they are crossing the border with their vehicles. Your material is a bit BS.

Why don't the president of Mexico stop this??? I'll tell you why, or what Mexicans man told me. He said, Biden ask him to stop these people from coming to Mexico then coming here. I live in Carbondale Illinois. I'm born in Chicago. People from other places tend to be more successful because it takes a go-getter to travel. I'm a go-getter and I do pretty well here, ironically I'm a Chicano (Mexican born in the US) and I'm considered a foreigner here.
