Im neither Canadian nor american, but i totally support Canada and understand the bitterness Canadians feel. Trump's policies are clearly anti-american and very very stupid. He is doing great dissevice to americans in the first place.

I’m seeing a lot of comments saying ‘just move there,’ which makes no sense and is such a lazy response. Immigration isn’t as simple as packing a bag—there are legal, financial, and logistical hurdles, especially right now. Supporting another country’s stance doesn’t mean you have to leave your own. As an American, I stand with Canada on this.

These tariffs are about the US consumer to pay more for everything in order for Dump to recover money from working people to give tax cuts to the rich, nothing else. Historically, tariffs have been imposed to support production of American goods. Think cotton, steel, other raw materials the U.S. used to produce in past centuries. For the past several decades, America has not produced many raw materials because it's cheaper to buy them from countries who can pay their workers less to keep the cost of production low. It's impossible to quickly begin producing these things here, so Trumplethinskin's tariffs will do nothing but piss off our trading partners and dramatically increase the prices Americans pay for a long list of essential goods. I see a major recession coming soon. If your goal was to close American car plants because the parts are too expensive and make it impossible for U.S. citizens to afford to feed their families, you've achieved it, King Donald ?

As an American, I am very sad to see our neighbors and friends pull away from us. All of these decades of working together to achieve the greater good for the world; destroyed by one man's selfishness, greed, and delusion. Don't get me wrong, he's supported by people that worship him and are pushed on by their own delusions of grandeur and selfishness. They can't see the immovable, solid wall they are hurdling towards. I hope in the future, our past friends and allies are willing to take us back once these fools get kicked out.

Most Americans do not want to support Canada with our tax dollars. We have had a huge trade deficit with them for decades and we are the only military they have outside of a bad joke with no punchline. Canada needs to support itself militarily and financially.
