The problem with the way things have become here is that now people that have immigrated legally to Canada and are citizens are now becoming targets of hate and violence. I agree that once the visa is expired people need to go and honor what they signed for. We are also punishing those people who have done nothing wrong. This is really scary to see in our country. Canada is a law abiding country and no one can fool the system. It offers study visas with a condition of returning back to home after completing the study. But many indian students are cheated by local agents with fake promises of Canadian PR, and now face deportation. It is not the fault of Canada. Already Canadian citizens including its own students suffer a lot from getting a job. Lack of jobs, house, health services increased and at the same time criminal, anti social activities like car theft, sexual abuse of female students, traffic violations, and links with anti social elements linked with international students. Brampton becomes the number one crime area in Toronto. Canadians are very well known people for their multicultural identity but they become irritated by the hostile behaviour of the international students. \nSo Canada must give priority to its own citizens and its law and order. No one can be allowed to take advantage of its liberal system.

If Canada cuts down on those selected immigrations but still takes in refugees, it’s only going to make anti-immigrant sentiment worse. But Canadian universities saw how much money universities in the US are making so they asked the federal government to change the policy to enable them to charge international students several times the regular tuition (whereas in countries like France, international students actually pay less than citizens). So now Canadian universities rely too much on international students to operate and it becomes an exploitative relationship even before students step foot on the campus. The new PGWP eligibility is awful because students can make contributions in every field. It might (and that's a big if) address the pressing problems, but it won't help Canada grow.\n\nI thought the new language requirement was interesting. Some Canadians who immigrated decades ago when the bar was really low still speak English poorly and now they are saying people can’t come to Canada because their language skills are not sufficient. But I believe a good Canadian life is not about living in a high rise in Vancouver and Toronto, driving an expensive car, or buying luxury items...it's about the communities, nature and middle-class comfort. So the system is giving PRs to the wrong kind of people (just like mismatched people when hiring that don't align with company values).\n\nThis brings me to the last frustrating issue. There were so many people who attended “fake” universities and bought “fake” jobs to earn points to get an Express Entry invitation. And it's clear that the government wasn't proactively catching these abuses. They are taking up spots from those who try to earn the points fair and square. If I understand correctly, Canada doesn’t send these people away if they are found out (since some of them were scammed). So they still take up immigration quotas.\n\nI have wanted to move to Canada for a long time. I have ethnic background from Hong Kong and have been living in Canada for almost 40 years. I love Canada and am proud of this beautiful country. However, I think part of the immigration problem we have is the ongoing issue of allowing dual citizenship of everyone who have become a Canadian citizen. I have personally known lots of HK immigrants who would return to their own countries to work as soon as they have got their Canadian passports. Normally one of the parents would stay with their children here for free schooling, medical care and child tax benefits. Their children will follow their parents to go back to HK after they graduated from universities in order to avoid the higher income tax . Unfortunately, those parents will come back to retire in Canada so that they can get free health care benefits and OAS once they have fulfilled the residency requirement of 10 years. Canada do need more skilled and educated immigrants to make our country more prosperous but not those who try to take advantage of our lenient immigration policies. I think we should take back the passports of those who have left Canada for more than 2 years or those who have evaded taxes so that we do not continue to support those never contributed to our country. PS, I mentioned about HK only because of my origin and I believe the same problem would be caused by immigrants from other countries too.

As a 35 year old Canadian born citizen, at this point I would love to become a legal American citizen in any republican run state. Our economy is destroyed thanks to the Liberals and it will never be the same again regardless of who wins the election in 2025. There are a lot of scammers around the world. It is in your duty to identify them and never fall as prey. It's not Canada's fault that you are getting deported for false information. I am an immigrant myself and we followed every single steps to become an offcial canadian citizen. It took me years to become a citizen. And I am not just talking about 3 or 4 years later, but 10 years later coming from a skilled worker.

My family immigrated here in the 70s. We embraced Canada, my parents worked hard, there were no hand outs then. Kept our traditions at home, however when a Canadian was invited over everyone spoke English as well in public spaces. We were very proud to become Canadian citizens five years later. My brothers and I all served in the military. There is a bit of relief that my father passed away so as not to see what Canada has become in the last 9 years. I have little tolerance for cultures that are only here to take with no interest in assimilating.

The visa process needs to be more strict. Being granted an International Student Visa should levy a higher threshold for long-term stay requirements after school. Also, the total years need to become a Citizen should be moved to 8 years, not 5. We need to uphold the integrity of what it means to be a Canadian, not allow and Tom Dick and Harry a Visa or PR just because they spend money here (Canada).

This is me a decade ago moving from Phils to Canada. I never felt at home in the country of my birth — I hated the traffic and the monsoon rains (it can rain for months). I know a lot of nationalities rave about our tropical country & beautiful beaches but it also has become unaffordable for us the citizens. We became Canadians 5 yrs ago & have grown from 4 to 6 (2 Canada born kids) & now have 2 properties. It has worked for us but it was also not easy uprooting our lives & starting over. I can tell you one of the major reasons. It is the fact that these immigrants from India do not want to assimilate into Canada. Instead they bring their ways with them into Canada and some of those “ways”, are not acceptable in Canada. One example of that is the whole using the bathroom on the beach. But one that hits hard for me is the insane amount of immigrants that are harvesting spawning salmon with nets, without any of the properly paperwork that is needed to fish salmon with a rod. Using a net is illegal, I know they know it because when I catch them doing this. They become quiet and all of a sudden, after hearing them just speaking English, they pretend they do not know English… I can tell you this is all true. The other thing I have seen with my eyes is shop lifting from the local grocery store. I have never seen that before, not ever in all my years living here. It would be somewhat different if they were stealing essential items and essential foods. But they are not doing that, they are stealing all the luxury items. I am a white Canadian and I am proud of it, but guess what. I am also proud of the fact that I have a doctor that came from India and his family is thriving here. It makes me proud that he chose our country try to come to, with his educational background, it also makes me proud that he and his family have taken the time to try and assimilate into our culture. When I say assimilate by the way, I do not want them or and immigrant to completely abandon their cultures, I just would prefer it if they assimilate to the point where we can have a healthy community instead of all these separate cultural areas in our towns and cities. The other thing I have to add is that the word racism is thrown around too much and too easily in our current woke cultural climate here in Canada and this is just making the immigration issues worse because it produces a culture of fear for those Canadians that would like to help educate those immigrants that need help. But they do not do so because they are afraid of being labeled a racist or some other word and having their livelihoods and overall lives ruined. Ok so before mass immigration was a thing here in Canada our healthcare system that we all used to be extremely proud of the as showing too many cracks and we knew it was falling apart. You think the government would place more funding into the healthcare system. Well that has not happened and if anything they have taken more funds away from our healthcare system than any other time in our country’s history. So before the mass immigration begun we had a major issue with having way too many patients and not enough medical staff to adequately treat everyone in a timely and healthy manner. So now think about that, the healthcare system was already stressed with the current population before mass immigration. How do you think adding waves and waves of more people every year via mass immigration is affecting that system? The answer is this… if the system was stressed beforehand, it is collapsing now. I am one of the lucky few that has a family doctor right now. It takes three months the just for me to see her… If I have an emergency and have to call 911, the ambulance will take me up to the local ER and then I will be wheeled out to the waiting room, which defeats the purpose of me calling 911 for a ambulance. I have waited two days at the local ER just to see a doctor. So here is where it affects the immigrants coming in. If a Canadian that was here before you is already having major issues with the healthcare, then I can only imagine how hard it will be for a new citizen to our country, nuff said really… the local er near me had a person die in the waiting room this past January. Add to this fact that I am actually pretty sick at the moment and so are my parents and you can understand why I am upset about our failing healthcare system. The politicians do not have to worry about our such issues though because they can afford to pay to go outside of Canada and pay cold hard cash for medical treatment. That is why they do not mind removing funds from our healthcare system, it will not affect them and they get to line their pockets with more of our tax money… I honestly place most of the blame for what is going on right now on Trudeau’s government and not the immigrants. The immigrants could help make this crappy situation a lot better for both of our parties though if they tried a little harder to adapt to our ways of life here. When in Canada try to live like a Canadian, I do not think that is asking much. Again, as for racism, I believe in judging a person by their actions and not by the colour of their skin. Racism is such an antiquated way of thinking… Our skin colours maybe different, just like our cultural backgrounds, but after all is said and done we are all members of the human race. Hi… I totally agree with just about everything you stated in all aspects of the Indian community. I’m a Canadian who happens to be living in Brampton for the past 12 years. I’ve watched Brampton go from a beautiful community to a dark dreaded place to live , and this is truly because of Indian behaviours. Mind you I have many genuinely good intelligent respectful Indian friends, but there’s the others that thinks they owe the city, province, and country. They don’t respect no one, and I mean no one. NOT EVEN THEIR OWN KIND (Indians/ Punjab). And yes as a Canadian citizen whenever I see something I do call them out on it. However; the moment you say something to them they assume that you’re cursing at them and what was ment to be a respectful comment becomes a situation where they want to argue and even get into a physical fight. Then there’s the bad, careless driving on the streets with no regards to the next person’s life. They drive like their car is the only one on the street yet always looking for someone to race with not to mention the illegal U-TURN creating major accidents. I personally experienced this when a Tractor Trailer Driver tried making a U-TURN on the city street with only 4 lanes for both direction at 4AM in the morning. This caused me to almost ran under the trailer body which would have been the end of my life. They butt into lines and interrupts as much as business conversations thinking their concerns are way more important than anyone else’s and That’s just to name a few things.\nNow on the other hand I do have VERY GOOD RESPECTFUL INDIAN FRIENDS who I will never let go of our friendship because of their genuine respectful relationship although even those close friends are now pulling themselves away from their own country people and all because of the others behaviour.\nThirdly; YES, the Canadian government invites foreign students into the country with improper sources to monitor and direct a governing body to monitor and process the activities of foreign students .\n\nI love your honesty in your stories back your video clips as proof of your country men behaviour. Liberal government needs to fix the problem it created with immigration. Canadians do not want their taxes going to support unlegitimate refugees or students who feel that they should automatically become Canadian citizens after finishing their Mickey Mouse courses. There are enough Canadian citizens qualified and well-educated to fill in Canadian jobs. Canadian citizens have been negatively impacted by the Liberals decisions on immigration.

That is why Canadians who had been paying their taxes and are law abiding citizens become homeless coz they lost their jobs coz their jobs are given to foreign students and can't be able to afford to pay their rents and mortgages anymore. \nAnd it's very heart breaking.

Hopefully, the population of Indian heritage who live in Canada take note of what you have so brilliantly stated and start to change their behavior before the Canadian born citizens get completely fed up and start throwing these people out.\n\nI am of Indian heritage who immigrated to California, USA, 50 years ago. I made a concentrated effort to assimilate into the American culture as quickly as possible and become a productive part of the American culture and it's traditions. I embraced my new home but still valued my heritage and what I could contribute to this society - tolerance and patience. Sadly, what you stated regarding this kind of negative behavior started to creep in, even here, during the Barack Hussein Obama administration (very backward man and backward values) and has steadily become worse over the past 10-12 years here in the U.S. People of Indian heritage truly have a lot to offer countries like the U.S. and Canada when these people conduct themselves in a civilized and cultured manner.

This is an honest video and I like that. I moved to Canada in 2010 and I moved back to Europe in 2021, so I am a Canadian immigrant and citizen now. I personally don't blame the Indians, I worked with people from India and I love a good tikka masala. Only Trudeau is to blame in Canada. But in India there are people who scam your Indian students, telling them they could go study in Canada and then become citizens and this is why now Indian students are protesting, because they realize they have been lied in India. So Canada is not to blame for this incident. Students must understand - they come to another country just to study, then go back home. And everybody must understand - when you move to another country, you must learn the new country culture. The Canadians must not adapt to the Indian culture, the Indians must adapt to the Canadian culture. I remember when we came to Canada they told us that if we do a crime, we would be deported back to our country. And now so many people do crimes and nothing happens. This is wrong. My point is - the main blame goes for the government, but some blame goes for the new Indian migrants too.

The thing is these are not immigrants who can become Canadian citizens these are temporary foreign residents with no rights to remain in Canada which only belongs to Canadian citizens ❤❤❤❤❤

Im a 34 yr old Canadian and share the exact same view as you about this country. \nMy husband, myself and our tow kids moved to Mexico a few years ago, as well as a few friends of ours, and leaving Canada was like getting out of a toxic relationship lol Once you're out of the 'bubble' that Canada has created for it's citizens you see just how sour it has become. \nThat being said, we did move back to Canada to buy some land far north Alberta-only because we have small kids and want them to be around family-but if it was just my husband and myself we DEFINITELY would have stayed in Mexico. \nMexico feels safer, its beautiful there all over the country, the people have wonderful community and live life fully, the culture is enthralling, the food is BETTER in every way, the language (Spanish) is a fun element to life, and best of all-in Mexico, you are out of the censorship and the 'fear bubble' in Canada. You see it all over headlines, you hear it on the radio, it comes out of everyone's mouths in Canada-obsessed with 'safety' and everyone is terrified of living. Now that we're back we're very aware of it and do our best to ignore it and block it out. \n\nMoving abroad is a lot of work, but I would do it again in a heartbeat and recommend it. Canadians are homeless, jobless and struggling to survive. Years of overpopulation by our currant government has resulted in Canadians becoming second class citizens in their own country. Stop ALL temporary visas, be it for students, workers, etc until Canadians can once again stand on their own two feet. I dont care where all these temporary people come from but it needs to stop. Already universities are complaining of losing business but who cares. Where are universities when Canadians are sleeping in boxes on the ground. Stop it all for a period of 2-5 years. Canadian citizens born in Canada are not getting jobs age 19 years or so. If they do then they are not getting full hours, international students have taken up the jobs. Shortage of houses. rents have gone up exponentially. survival has become a challenge.

Re: career opportunities. I am a Canadian citizen. I worked as a land surveyor assistant from 2017 to 2019 in Alberta. I had very few career opportunities. My supervisor didn't bother to teach me the trade. I was just assigned to be a pack mule/hole digger. I had a geomatics diploma and intended to become a surveyor after working as an assistant for 1 year. I waited 3 years and didn't make any progress. I was so frustrated I moved to France. France has way more opportunities for me. The salaries are lower. But the cost of living is lower too, and the hours are around 35h/week (vs 80+ in Canada). Yeah, it's legal for tradesmen in Canada to work 24/4 day shifts with 12 hour days. This doesn't take into account the 1~2 hours of unpaid work every night to write field notes and charge the batteries/cleanup the equipment. It doesn't help that the salaries are hourly too. So in the slow months you better have money saved up, or you'll be begging for food.

Leaving may solve your problems but only for very short time, because whatever place you end up in, it may be no better, and good deal worse, since you won't be a citizen there. Gosh I've been in Canada for 14 years. Trying to do everything by the book when it comes to immigration. Came here as a student, graduated from engineering 8 years ago and now working in the aerospace sector. I can't even become a Canadian citizen until Quebec lets me to do so, and I got big dreams such as flying for the military here.
