I see this as nothing less than Trump wanting to do to Canada a slightly more palatable version of what Putin is doing to Ukraine. Trump has openly said he wants Canada to become the 51st state, even though this is a huge ask as Canada has a population larger than any US state (California is close in population size), Canada has a land mass nearly the size of the US and, including water mass, Canada has a larger overall area than the US. Trump also wants Iceland to be owned by America. He has become power crazy during a war because this is his only chance to stoke his ego to undreamable levels. Trump wants to be America's Putin.

If Canada uses it's wisdom to choose a leader with an aptitude for economics, and behaves with the collectivistic humility we are known for, perhaps we will weather this storm and come out stronger on the other side. Americans have really drunk the koolaid and don't realize that they are the only ones who think their country is so amazing. There are some cool things about America but nothing worth moving there for especially from Canada. The racism goes both ways. I grew up feeling disrespected and mistreated by them (not all of them but a LOT of them). I try to be respectful and give everyone a fair chance, but it's really difficult when they are constantly being rude when I interact with them, or giving me death glares... like what did I even do?? I have been bullied by them in the workplace, and made fun of by them out in public. And for NO reason. I try so hard to be nice, but it's clear that so many of them hate me before I even open my mouth. I know a handful of them that are really awesome people though... but they respect the culture here in canada, and they treat all people like actual people.

Not every brown person is Indian, I knew people from Pakistan, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka identifying themselves as Indians.\n\n2. Immigrants can’t vote, so majorly its not your fault and so is not immigrants fault but the Government that the CITIZENS elected brought immigrants for boosting their dead economy.\n\n4. Controversial but I will say it, Canada is a FRENCH country with English as its second major language. No others language is as prominent, So if you are sure that a brown person is an IMMIGRANT and they can’t even speak ENGLISH properly let alone French, 99% chance he/she is a problem in your country and does labour work.

Ma'am, when a country makes it harder for citizens of a particular country to enter their country, it is often because of the number of recorded incidents, crime from people from said country. If there is a higher rate compared to people from other countries, then it becomes harder. Let's be honest here... Indians don't have a good reputation abroad when it comes to such things... I'm half Nigerians and at least many Nigerians acknowledge why lately, it is harder for Nigerians to get a visa (Obv crime as well.) Has nothing to do with discrimination. Also, look at the state of Canada. Nigeria and India need to focus on bettering their citizens so that less people go abroad, which also reduces the chance of certain people doing crime, to avoid making it harder for honest people from the same country to get a visa. Better the countries so that more countries open up for Indians, making the ranking go up. \n\nLastly, the passport index website shows India at 65, not 85. Why lie about that to fit your narrative? The passport index website is literally the first result that shows up on Google too... Not everything is about discrimination...

As a Canadian PR holder, the immigration system is broken. The fact that people who can't speak English, with criminal backgrounds and unqualified individuals can come in and stay while I had to wait 2 years for background checks and a 8.5 IELTS score, is insane. It shows that qualified workers aren't wanted but rather just get as many people from only one single country in the name of multiculturalism. Another thing which attracted me to Canada was the chance to experience different cultures but all I see are Indians and especially immigrants who don't want to integrate because Trudeau is happy with that and they bring their countries' domestic problems to Canada (read Gaza idiots and Khalistanis)
