Canada has a long history of ignoring India’s warnings about Khalistan. They give asylum to extremists just to shame India, but in the end Canada itself suffers. Many Indians think moving abroad changes everything but my own friend, an engineering graduate, is working as a cashier in Canada while he had a good job offer in India. Indians, have some dignity. Don’t blindly chase the Canadian dream.

Sad to see the racist comments both in the video as well as in the comments. There is no doubt that Canada took too many immigrants in the past 5-7 years. The reasons are many - and the blame goes on both the provincial conservatives and federal liberals. The tuition freeze in Ontario caused colleges and universities to treat foreign students as an ATM to balance their budgets. Foreign enrollments skyrocketed, especially in colleges, with students paying top dollar for dubious degrees with no job prospects. This put strains on the job market, and the housing/rental market. As an educated Indian-American who now lives in Canada, it pains me to see my fellow countrymen dominating Uber, Uber Eats, Bicycle food delivery and Tim Hortons. No one uproots everything in their home country and comes all the way for this. Most of these people are here legally and they work really hard. A last word - leaving aside the Khalistan issue that has caused a wedge between Hindus and Sikhs - the Indian diaspora, especially the Sikh, are amazing in the amount of charitable work that they do. Their concept of seva is unmatched. No one goes hungry when there is a Gurdwara around, as there is always free nutritious food. Same is true for temples. Even a young poor Steve Jobs ate at Iskcon temples. Last point - while some of Canada's problems are because of excessive immigration, Canada would be nothing without immigrants. The population would decline, with a native fertility rate of under 1.4, and entitlement programs would be in deep trouble.

You did not study. Your parents did nothing. Did they support you to get a college eduvation. You sent your jobs to china. And you allow potential terrorist into canada. You alllowed muslims and khalistans. CANADIANS YOU JUST SET YOURSELF FOR FAILURE.

I was questioning PM Trudeau for his foreign relationships and dealing with Khalistan separatists and straining Canada's relationship with India. But this speech changed that perception. I like how he addresses the very issue. Crystal clear and a very matured leader I would now change my position about him. This trade war will really hurt both sides. It may help govt as businesses will pay more on sales taxes. But it will ultimately hurt the consumers, especially middle and low income folks on both sides of the border a big way. There are so many problems to solve in USA and he focused on this.

This nepotistic kid who was born into a family of privilege supports separatists like Khalistan, and gives free passage to tens of thousands of Syrian Muslim refugees - who are on a path to islamise Canada!!!

As an Indian living in India, the immigration policies of Canada are seriously concerning, it’s not attracting the best of the bunch and it’s fostering Anti-National sentiments among communities that are usually very patriotic in India… there is no Khalistan movement in Punjab, they are causing unrest in Canada for their agenda and the Canadian PM is all too happy to support them. So much so that they have successfully strained the international relations between India and Canada.

What a nonsensical report! It is upto each individual country to decide who to let in and who not to let in, nobody in their sane mind can call this foreign interference. If they were telling Canada who to let in or who not to let in, then it may be, but you cannot reasonably expect any country to let in people based on a foreign country's orders. I'm a French Canadian and I love India and Indians. I'm learning Hindi and Punjabi, love the food, language, and music. It's just that Canada needs to denounce Khalistan! I want to clarify some things here. MOST people in India do not support a separate state like Khalistan, it's implausible as they would need their own currency and military... It would be as if you asked an average Quebecer if they wanted to separate. There is only ONE India and ONE Canada which includes Quebec! The Khalistani movement should be declared a terrorist organization. These protestors SHOULD be mad if indeed a policeman supports Khalistan. Or how Trudy ruined India's relationship with a terrorist like the Khalistani leader that was assasslnated. EVEN if a vote were to show that Canadian East Indians support Khalistan, Canada cannot create this state for India which Modi also does not help. The problem with here is also with Khalistan issue (of course not all Punjabis there want Khalistan and are absolutely chill people and people here in India, Punjabis, also don't want Khalistan, I have some close friends who are Sikh and are most Dildaar, Big-hearted, people I know). A lot of extremist groups which want, Khalistan ARE supported and protected by the Canadian government especially by Justin Trudeau and these people are committing nothing but violence and terrorism in the name of free speech. Indian government has issued many extradition requests, but the Trudeau government has done nothing about it and has protected these extremists. Over the years Indian government has warned Canadian government about this issue constantly and after years of housing these Canadian terrorists (because Canada calls them their citizens and protects them, what else can be the correct term for them and nothing like Khalistan exists) they've started to cause problems for the people already living there (like the terrorists Pakistan was housing are causing problems to them). They know they are not gonna get a Khalistan in India so where else are they gonna build it? Voila! Canada! This is the reason behind them not assimilating with the existing culture.Trudeau has even gone to lengths of calling Amit Shah (Home minister of India) and PM Modi (if you don't know what the heck are you doing here go study geopolitics a bit) unalivers of Hardeepsingh Nijjar WITHOUT any evidence (they just keep saying they have it but have shown nothing till now) and because of which Canada has worsened its relations with the Indian Government. They are even comparing India with the likes of North Korea in terms of threat. Indian Government in reply is giving Canada the same treatment it gives to Pakistan (a bit better of course, but the diplomacy has gone to sh it. And the reason why Trudeau is doing all this, yeah VOTES for sh itty domestic politics he's sacrificing long term GOOD relations with the Indian Government. Now, you may think that worsening relations with India is a good thing for Canada, yeah no, its not good because India has trade relations with Canada which may worsen due to this (yeah, great going for an economy which is already in shambles) and UK or US are not gonna do anything to India over Canada because India geopolitically has more significance than Canada (I'm not bragging, please don't misunderstand). This rant has gone to a very different tangent but yeah a lot of problems Canada is having is mainly due to their government. Any of Canadian friends (I have not reason to hate you) and Punjabi brothers/sisters (Yeah, unless you are some sh itty extremist you are a brother/sister to me) please don't take this offensively.
