My husband is a retired Airborne Ranger who worked cooperatively with military personnel from the UK, Canada, Germany, France, and other democratic countries around the world. We are just sick about how tRump has treated our allies. He is a bully and a draft dodging coward. We don’t blame any of our NATO allies who apply pressure through tariffs, etc to give tRump the consequences he deserves for his bad behavior. He is hurting the US country and its citizens, being cruel to their people lower income US citizens. Middle and lower class US citizens are going to be suffering under his US as he is trying to get rid of every program that helps us live with dignity. He is hurting our farmers. We know that he is a narcissistic psychopath. Most of us can’t wait until he and JD Vance are out of office, and hopefully in prison. They don’t care how many US citizens they hurt with their greedy megalomaniac agenda. We are sorry that our administration is being so unreasonable and hope you can forgive the rest of the US citizens that never wanted this situation with you and our other NATO allies.

He said he WOULD resign once a new leader was picked through a democratic process. Right now, he's basically just doing photo ops in Ukraine, UK and anywhere else on our dime because Parliament is prorogued and the party in power, Liberal, is having a leadership race. So, while he may resign within the week once that leadership race is done, he's still technically in charge.\n\nWhat makes that race and the PM's prorogation so bad is that we're in the middle of a crisis - several actually - caused in part directly by Trudeau and his Liberals (and the NDP supporting them). The latest would be Trump's tariffs starting today, March 4, 2025. Trudeau always disappears during a crisis, leaving us to fend for ourselves - (1) COVID, he was at the cottage using every excuse not to be accountable for anything or using unconstitutional powers to crush a protest he didn't know how to handle, (2) Chinese spies, he's ignoring our intelligence service, (3) federal worker strike, he's in NYC at some gala.... I could go on but there's a reason we're hurting so bad.\n\nWe have zero federal leadership, and a federal government that makes things worse for us with things like: over-regulation, subsidizing media to keep us misinformed, nerfing select natural resource sectors but favoring others (oil and gas suffer, while coal is fine... probably because we sell it to China, but I digress), letting criminal out of jail, uncontrolled immigration, passing policies like the FHSA that drive home prices higher and higher, and of course, more and more taxes. Thank you for summarizing these key changes! Many problems are actually the Canadian immigration system not learning from the mistakes of the US system and now it’s suffering the same consequences. If Canada cuts down on those selected immigrations but still takes in refugees, it’s only going to make anti-immigrant sentiment worse. Selected immigrants are allowed into Canada to help alleviate Canadian issues…or at least people who come through Express Entry are less likely to become a burden. On the other hand, refugees, given their unfortunate circumstances, really need to rely on a lot of social services and resources to help them resettle. The US has eliminated pretty much all non-humanitarian immigration that’s why immigrants are so demonized there. Americans only feel the drags of refugees and asylum seekers (even though ethically we need to protect them) and there is no selected immigration to balance that out. Yet this round of Canadian policy change is heading exactly that direction.\n\nIt used to be international students in Canada are not paying a lot more tuition than Canadian students. But Canadian universities saw how much money universities in the US are making so they asked the federal government to change the policy to enable them to charge international students several times the regular tuition (whereas in countries like France, international students actually pay less than citizens). So now Canadian universities rely too much on international students to operate and it becomes an exploitative relationship even before students step foot on the campus. The new PGWP eligibility is awful because students can make contributions in every field. It might (and that's a big if) address the pressing problems, but it won't help Canada grow.\n\nI thought the new language requirement was interesting. Some Canadians who immigrated decades ago when the bar was really low still speak English poorly and now they are saying people can’t come to Canada because their language skills are not sufficient. Another point about language is if you apply through Express Entry now, even if you scored the highest language score, given how competitive the pool is, you still won’t get selected. So it’s a given that you need to be fluent in one of the languages at least to get an invitation. But I believe a good Canadian life is not about living in a high rise in Vancouver and Toronto, driving an expensive car, or buying luxury items...it's about the communities, nature and middle-class comfort. So the system is giving PRs to the wrong kind of people (just like mismatched people when hiring that don't align with company values).\n\nThis brings me to the last frustrating issue. There were so many people who attended “fake” universities and bought “fake” jobs to earn points to get an Express Entry invitation. And it's clear that the government wasn't proactively catching these abuses. They are taking up spots from those who try to earn the points fair and square. If I understand correctly, Canada doesn’t send these people away if they are found out (since some of them were scammed). I have probably seen more Canada than many Canadians and I love every bit of it. But the opportunity for me to even get a shot to move there is pretty much nonexistent now. I am a born and raised Canadian and have seen my country go downhill for at least the last couple of decades.\nHealth Care: doctors and nurses are moving Stateside in droves. No, the US doesn’t have universal health care but there are insurance plans and the care is enormously better. My girlfriend had 4th stage throat cancer. In Calgary the doctors at some point told her there was nothing more they could do for her and to get her affairs in order. Her father sent her to the Anderson Clinic in Houston - yes it was expensive but they treated her, saved her life and that was 24 years ago. \nIt’s common in our emergency rooms to wait up to 12 hours to be seen. \nOur system isn’t progressive and doctors and nurses don’t get paid near as well as in the States. That being said, I am happy that I don’t have to pay to see the doctor or have a stay in the hospital. \nCost of Living: Once upon a time it was good - housing was cheap and many companies had the full range of benefits and salaries were equal to the cost of living. Now these same companies have stripped the benefits by hiring people under contract so they don’t have to give them benefits. \nRents are through the roof and in Calgary there are no rent caps. Buying a decent house in a decent neighbourhood is impossible unless you inherit or make a six figure income. This, in no small part, has created a homelessness crisis that never had been seen in such numbers before. Crime also is getting worse by the day. Canada was once known as a safe country. This is no longer the case.\nEverything is very expensive and the tax very high. Plus, we have to suffer winter! Where I live, the joke is that we have two seasons - July and winter!\nI still like my city (not love) but I am retired and own two houses - one inherited and the other bought when it was affordable (32 years ago). Once your student permit expires, you go back to your country of origin. If you want to apply for PR, this should be done from your home country. Work permits should be suspended while Canada is suffering with job loss. CIC needs stop issuing PR to individules who've overstayed in Canada past their permit expiry, not proceed with the PR file. This is a mess, and Liberal government has known about it for decades. No student or worker has the right to stay past their permit expiry, period.

With the current immigration law with giving the caregivers Permanent Residency putting a lot of pressure on the employers who are working hard and paying taxes to bring the caregivers in Canada. The caregivers are taking advantages by exercising their rights as soon as they lands in Canada. Where is the protection for the employers who are working round the clock to bring the caregivers but the caregivers are abusing the systems and goodwills of the employers. The caregiver program should be like it was before when the caregivers needed to work here for 10 years to get the permanent residency. Otherwise it is becoming difficult for the employers to retain the newly hired caregivers under the new program as the caregivers are getting PR as soon as they lands. Employers need protection. Employers brings caregivers from foreign lands and as soon as they arrive the caregivers can quit and change employer and start exercising their rights as PR - it has to stop to protect the employer because of the employers hard earned money and goodwill they can land here, employers should not suffer for their goodwill and needs.\nWe Canadian employers need workers not the abusers. I am an Indian and I am disgusted to see what fellow Indians have done to Canada! They come here with their total lack of civic sense! I was born and raised in Calcutta as we navigated daily through filth and dirt on the streets - not only because of the poor on the street - but bec of everyone else who walks around and thinks nothing of throwing their garbage on the streets, spitting and blowing their noses on the streets and even in buildings - stairway landings, or peeing in the open - in public spaces or against building walls, etc.. Narcissistic, selfish drivers who cut people off, break the traffic rules, grab parking spots, etc.. They come here and make every effort to Indianize Canada - to make this into India instead of respecting this country that has generously and (ignorantly!!) allowed them in!! If they want to live their Indian culture in an 'Indian environment' - then for goodness sake - GO BACK TO INDIA and clean up that country your call your 'matri bhoomi' - your Mother!! Healthcare is so bad that I have stories of surgery done wrong and person almost died. Colossal level of mis-management is going on in this country. I am professional and at executive level in corporation, still half the time in a year I struggle to keep up with expenses. I am re-considering my decision to stay in this country. If some student is reading this please think 100 times before you come to Canada.

1) vancouver is most expensive most of the house owners are chinese\n\n2)If you suffer any injury like fracture or any minor pain than doctor wont treat you soon unless until its an emergency you have to wait for hours to see a doctor \n\n\n3) theft is 100times more common than india \nAlmost on average 10cars are stolen every day in british columbia \nIf you saw this event of theft with your eyes in any case you call 911 they will just suggest wait inside your home you will receive insurance and insurance company they pay insurance after 5 months till that time you have to wait.\n\n4) permanent residence for any one is given on point based usually points required are very high in main cities like toronto and vancouver you have to move alberta which has harsh weather minus 30degree\n\nCanada is worst place to live\n\nHomeless residents are getting free 2500canadian dollar for healthcare which they spend on drugs \n\nIts not safe at mornings also nights are worst\n\n\nWhile students do odd jobs \nThey have to wake up early and at midnight they have to travel on foot to catch bus but in vancouver you are lucky if you dont get caught by coyote \n\nIf you order anyting from amazon and any portal it will be delivered after 20days or 30days\nService is poor\n\nFresh fruits are more costlier than chicken or meat veg is expensive \n\nStudent life is harsh \nFirst 4years it will take to settle down \nNext 1 year you have to pay car instalment by end of college you can afford down payment\n\nBy next 2 year you plan for house \nAnd rest of your life you have to its installments even your child also have to pay instalment \n\nPlease dont go to canada students have to sell drugs to earn there living kindly stay away from canada uk france opt for new zealand or Ireland ?

Nobody pays 4-times the tuition of a domestic student just for a degree from Blablabla college. Of course almost everyone comes for PR, because Express Entry was a stable immigration system, but now the system allows fraudulent LMIA holders to go through, and the actual skilled workers are paying the price because NOBODY can score such high score in Express Entry (current draws). The current draw cut-off scores are unrealistic.\n\nThe government allowed 90k unskilled workers to get PR through the TR to PR program (was a mistake), but now have made it difficult for the actual Federal High Skilled applicants. Canadian immigration is now so messed up, it favors the junks of the world and ignores the real skilled people. I myself have a Master's degree in Canada from a top University, have Canadian work experience, have foreign work experience, scores highest possible in IELTS, still I cannot score 529 for express entry. Conversely, a mediocre asylum seeker or fraud LMIA holder easily gets PR. Express Entry is no longer a stable system for skilled workers, it's now a lottery.\n\nBefore blaming international students for everything, you need to understand the real problem. Whether everyone is entitled to PR, NO! But, the skilled workers with excellent CRS scores (490+) should be able to stay to benefit Canada & get a good career for themselves as well. Otherwise, Canada itself will suffer from skill shortages just in a few years.

Is there a smart they won’t come to Canada because even right now Canadians are on the street. It’s just not a good time. Canadians are good people it’s not their fault. She had no money to buy the diabetes medication so she killed her self with the assistant help of Canada. They were murdering people and then inviting immigrants in, how does that make sense?. And then no one‘s offering the immigrants jobs because there is no jobs but that’s not again the Canadians fault they can’t afford to put food on their own table. Canadians are hard-working and I know lotta immigrants are hard-working in regards to the students don’t come here maybe the United States will be best for you they offer lotta countries. Oh my God warm nice beautiful countries, I’m not country is sorry states you’ll probably be best for you to transfer over to somewhere there cause it’s just so many beautiful, warmer climate, and if people are used to coming from a warmer climate, it would just make more sense to me just an idea. I’m half of Canadians. I’m embarrassed of what is happening to the Canadian people under Trudeau and I’m embarrassed of what’s happening to the immigrants under Trudeau. Mr. Trudo needs a nonconfidence vote and sodas, the NDP, the broken laws both of them so both of them need to go make some very clear that a certain laws are broke doesn’t matter if he joins with an NDP throat people need to know the rights of Canada please Canadians look them up look up your rights, read them if you don’t understand them maybe it’s time we start having private groups and not on Facebook because Facebook rats. I live in Ontario Canada in an area a lot of these immigrants have come to because of the colleges and our ERs are so overwhelmed I was brought by Ambulance after a car accident, I never got a bed, was treated in a waiting area, it was 4hrs before a dr saw me, 5hrs before I got any pain medication and almost 8hrs before I got cleared to go home with a broken piece of spine. There were more people there who were obvious immigrants than Canadian born people and all of us are suffering.

People made a lot of money during the peak of economy all over the world…now they are on vacation…because they saw the recession coming because production halted due to the corona virus…banks lowered the borrowing rates to keep the economy going…only the greedy with no knowledge of economic cycles, people who didn’t invest and the retirees are suffering…and that is a global trend…of course the Indian state funded news channel will continue to defame Canada while everyone is suffering all over the world…atleast the western countries delayed the recession through money printing….this channel was saying beat a steel plate to make corona go away from India which the Indian PM suggested ???

Canada is a joke now, trying so hard to be a 51st state. We've got all the crime and all the tent cities to compete with the very greatest American cities. Our tiny little towns now have homeless folks and I fear the day I become homeless.\n\nWe've lost our honour. We've sold out to corporations. We're intentionally pushing people out of their homes so the rich may get richer. And our Cuban PM, Justin Castro, is alright with it. He's also happy providing immigrants with subsidized housing while born-and-bred Canadians suffer. Heck, 'everyday young people' in their 20s can't even envision owning a home unless they come from a wealthy family or their parents die and leave the family home to them. They're better off buying an RV but even those cost what a house SHOULD cost.\n\nThis is not the Canada I was born in. It's a total effing disaster. The only saving grace for me is that I brought no children into this mess and I really hope to be dead before Xmas if I don't find a job. Being as I'm a coward and my doctor won't euthanize me (I asked), I figure a hunger strike is the was to go unless I can find a high enough cliff. There's nothing in Canada to be proud of or get excited about. Nothing. No future.

I am one of the victims who fell for it got a study permit spent $55000 to go there and got only a certificate and was asked to leave the country after an agency scammed me and messed up my paperwork plus I was living off credit cards for my last few months. Stay away from Canada too many of us have suffered it was a horrible experience the country is in-liveable even with my office job

Canada is a mess. Way too many immigrants coming here with no money, no skills, totally useless. Housing and rent are impossible, healthcare is exploding under the stress and quality of care has greatly suffered. Crime has exploded in all major cities. There are cheaper and better places to go than Canada.

Canadian universities are going to suffer because now Canada has a bad reputation in both China and India, which are the largest sources of international students.

A lot of immigrants use Canada as a jumping-off point to get into the States. They know Canada is a trash country but they're willing to suffer in the meantime. I know many immigrants who have came to Canada and are very educated, lots of experienced in their field, couldn't find the job. But they all move to the states and are getting paid very well. Going to the USA is prosperity land not Canada. That is a fact!

Canada is suffering because of bad leadership. The government is unable to step in in housing, because that would mean lowering the global value of it. Unable to step in in services, because it is stuck with unions that support laziness instead of competences and performances. Unable to step in in anything because it is controled by a literal mafia that totally surrounded the government and pull the strings of every ministers who are no longer there for the people they represent, but afraid of being killed by those mafiosies. \n\n So the honest worker is mostly doing 32k a year with charges that are about 30k a year. That means most people are going paycheck to paycheck, unable to afford savings, nor think about retirement. Unable to afford to improved their housing situation, paying rent that is so high that it should be consider a crime. \n\nIn fact, i predict many landlord will be killed in the coming years, by people losing their mind, because of incredible amount of stress they are suffering from. You think i am joking? Just the last 2 days, 2 woman lost their life because of being beaten to death by their husband... \n\nThis country is failing and failing fast because it doesn't take care of its population anymore... it is a doom country and immigration was the nail in the coffin. The system is unable to sustain such a demand. The next year is gonna see an incredible rise in criminality, and i foresee mass murdering events, like there was in the US.
