As a truck driver that has been almost everywhere in the US and Canada I would agree that I would never live in the USA. I do vacation there on occasion, New York, Disney World. There is way too much violence, politics, racism and people are in to much of a hurry to be out front. Everyone seems to need to be number 1. Great place to visit, but I wouldn't want to live there. Ironically I do spend about 8 to 10 days a month working there. I find the people on the west coast of the US friendlier than the east coast. It is the opposite in Canada, east coast friendlier than the west coast. Just my opinion and I have lived on both coasts in Canada.

I've traveled and worked in many parts of the USA. In most cases, I've found people to be more friendly, helpful and outgoing than Canadians because we tend to be more reserved.\n\nThe exceptions are when Americans feel afraid or threatened for some reason. Then things get really scary very quickly. The gun culture is one reason for this. At a coffee break in Houston my coworkers started talking about guns because one of them had been held up at gunpoint. His car was in the shop to repair a bullet hole in his front fender. This triggered talk about where people kept their guns at home, in their cars and on their persons. A small pile of 3 handguns ended up on the table while we talked, two of them from women's purses. All but one of the people had never used their guns except at a shooting range. The exception blew out a neighbor's over-loud outdoor speakers with a shotgun. He felt this was justified because he paid his shocked neighbor double the destroyed equipment's value in cash. Most of the Texans didn't agree with him but understood his rationale.\n\nI can handle a rifle and shotgun. Many Canadians hunt, but I can't think of a place in Canada where I could have had this conversation.

Tyler, with complete respect you DON'T get why we generally have no interest in moving to the US. You constantly talk about 'you just have to find the right place to live'. True of anywhere, but here the choice would be about preferences and afordability, NOT to avoid gun violence or shunning because of political views.\nThere is no where in Canada I could move to where gun violence would be a big factor to consider (we have rough places, and gun violence, but STRICT gun laws). Let me give you some perspective. In 2019 the USA had 37,038 gun related deaths. (No other causes of death- JUST all gun death). In Canada, in 2019, our death by illegal means (which does include suicide, as it is illegal) was 5,874. (That is for ALL types of homicide, not just guns). And the government was shocked by the increase that year and tightened gun restrictions further.\nYou talk about having certain States more Red or Blue. We aren't bi- partisan, so our politics are a melting pot. You might have people you disagree with everywhere you go, but you will also always find an equal group who thinks similar (unless your an extremist). And even the people who think different will generally agree to dis- agree. There is next to nowhere in Canada where your political views would get you run out of town. \n\nYou are USED to thinking like an American. (Fair, your American; I think like a Canadian) Trust me, as a Canadian, there are aspects of the accepted American culture (your country's way of life) that is boarderline terrifying to people here.

I agree with each and everything that both the ladies have said. I am 52 and have spent beautiful 25 yrs in Qatar. Since my children wanted to settle in USA I am in US now. However I have a question for Smita ji since both her children are in Canada now who will take care of her and her husband once they are too old to travel. Also after 15 years the children will be busy with higher education of grandchildren. The friends and maids that are a source of happiness in good health won't be of use because they will also be old and suffering.

while I agree with a lot of this video theres one crucial aspect this video neglects and same with the commenters here.. POPULATION. \n\nCompared to countries like denmark, sweden, japan, france, uk, etc. we have a much bigger country to maintain landmass wise. Infrastructure. USA is similar but they have 10x the population as us. Our population in canada is pathetic. Problem is everyone stays in ontario or BC which is stupid, im in sask I want population. Another thing about infrastructure is our climate. We have such drastic events in our climate across our huge country that takes a toll. Climate problems with our low population is not a good thing. I mean most people outside canada and even within Canada dont believe me but Saskatchewan goes from like -45 to +45C with windchill/humidex. Our forests are on fire often, that is not normal. That costs so much money to fix as well. In summer sometimes, Nunavut or NWT will be warmer then here, we talk about it here when it happens. Think about that. Weather is HUGE in saskatchewan. We talk about weather daily. I never realized until internationals pointed that out that we are obsessed with weather in sask lol. \n\n Our housing market is a joke and I agree we need to invest more in buisnesses but at the same time we need affordable housing, we are in a weird spot. As far as working etc goes people commenting here lol the golden years of the 80s are gone old timers, my parents realize this that you guys were spoiled in one of the greatest time periods in human history - post WWII boom and the effects. I could go on and on how the 70s-90s were one of the best time periods in modern history for various reasons but I wont. There are problems internationally, we live in a globalist world. We still have it good. Go travel and make international friends. This is nothing that we are dealing with at the moment. All I will say though is leave the huge metropolitans like Toronto and Vancouver. Everyone wants to go there because they think 'theres more opportunity' ugh. Theres opportunity across canada but if everyone things like that there will be problems. The idea of Ontario or BC is just a big nope for me (although I go to BC every couple years, love it there I would not want to live there).

This is ridiculous. I consider myself an independant cuz I agree with certain things on both sides but on immigration I lean republican\n\nThis country is the only country ppl do this in. Y do everyone wanna come to the USA. We gotta do something and I actually agreed with putting up a wall or some sort of stable barrier. Either come here legally or stay where you're at. I'm from the Caribbean and had to wait 7years for my greencard after filing and came here legally and these ppl just wanna rush our borders illegally. And I get your country is inhumane and sucks but we can't take in everyone who lives in a country that sucks\n\nWe have a huge homeless problem in this country and this will only add to it, not to mention these ppl can't work here and will probably go on welfare which puts more strain on the system and the taxpayers. Yes, I agree on some of the comments like; silent racism, cost of living and also about the dark history about Indigenous kids disappearance in catholic school.I know am 10yrs old but not too young to talk about it, same time I cannot ignore about what I see and experience (current affairs)! Every country have their pros and cons. Yes, USA might have better offers then Canada. I m not judging anyone or any country just sharing my experience’s For example: My family gad trip to windy City of Chicago US in December of 2022 with my parents and younger sister, before my visit I assumed that we will enjoy and have fun during trip but it was quite opposite “compared to what I see in Toronto” more homeless and addicts bullying pedestrians for money and when we had problem with ATM at bank the customer service was unfriendly and rude to us ( my parents having Asian background) people just degrade when they are from other culture: it is not fair to talk about Canada just because how a Country and it’s Governments works…. I am thankful being Canadian.

I agree with everything you are saying but why are so many immigrants moving to Vancouver and Toronto!? There are many other beautiful cities with lots of jobs and great universities. Most expensive cities to live in between Canada and USA - 1.New York City,USA 2.Mississauga, Canada 3.Vancouver, Canada 4. Hamilton, Canada 5.Toronto, Canada. Now tell me how many cities are in these two countries, thousands.Sorry but this drives me crazy, so many new immigrants to Canada complaining about the cost of housing on Toronto and area and Vancouver, don't move there!!!!! The USA also has taxes not listed on purchases and their salaries are listed before taxes. Canada has a higher tax rate because there are more social services than the USA.

I am a Canadian living in the USA the last 8 yrs. I would not move back to Canada. The cost of living in Canada (GTA) is significantly higher than many major cities in the USA. The only thing that Canada has an upper hand on is the universal healthcare. I am sorry guys this one I do not agree with you all.

Whilst I agree with some things you mentioned, let me know where it's better than Canada. I lived in the US and it was no better at all. It was work work work with no life and not much family time. Only very rich people in both Canada and USA don't pay much taxes because of the loopholes. The CRA and IRS mostly go after people who are struggling to put food on the table. \n\nI had a major operation that cost over $350 000,00 in Canada. I don't even know what I would have done if I was in the US with shortfalls, many people go bankrupt due to medical expenses. I am grateful I didn't pay anything. The health issues you mentioned are everywhere due to covid that has ravaged systems in most countries. It is very easy when you are healthy and not faced with a hefty medical bill to say negative stuff. When you are desperate like I was then you count your blessings. \n\nTalk of racism and discrimination, it is everywhere. Africa where I originate from or many developing countries, the corruption to get simple things done is pathetic. \n\nI wish you goodluck in your search for paradise here on earth. After all, no country is perfect.

Here are the solutions to every problem you have stated.\n1. Homelessness \nNot a problem at all, you're not homeless, government's taking care of them, they aren't physically dangerous so what's your problem?\n2. Racism,.\nAhh, if you're worried about racism, you should also worry sexism, class divide, tall people looking down at short people, good looking people looking down upon ugly people... this shit never ends. Ask Michael Jordan his experiences with racism, it all depends on how charming, successful, good looking and smart you are. Since it's silent you don't hear it so no problems here. \n3. Health Care\nGo visit a country that has a much better health care than Canada, such as China for a cheaper price, you get to travel and fix your health, problem solved. \n4. Technology.\nI think we can all agree that techonology is the reason our societies are fucked up. You can never have enough high tech, you can also never not have tech.\n5. Tax is a bitch in Canada, this one just straight up sucks unless if you're super rich and has a corporation, That means you can easily get around it as well. So don't be a middle class I guess?\n6. Employment sucks here, but it depends on your field, some fields pay pretty well, you just don't get the best of anything in Canada. Toronto however has the most fields meaning you can change your career without moving to another city like you do in any other city around the world.\n7. Housing is a bitch in Canada. \nBut the solution is to move to a smaller city or get a job that you work from home. \n\nIf you're not able to find solutions to these problems, don't come to Canada, leave the country if you're here and move to North Korea or any country that doesn't have captalism. Since my childhood to being as grown up man in the mid life, Canada is still under the shadow of USA.\n\nTwo things:\nCanada still empty after decades of issuing immigration visas.\nThis video is also a reflection to prove Canada is better than US, but people don't buy this from many years.\n\nI don't agree on education cost, in US there 100s of options to get enrolled in economical schools and to have on campus jobs, which is the way of paying tuition fees. \nA point on weather and living conditions in winter should have been discussed, this is the reason people leave Canada for dealing such a cold.\n\nNice video.

Great video..I agree with everything with 3 exceptions.. \n1- They is a lot, lots lots of millionnaires and billionaires in Canada.\n2- Concerning the health system, if you have money, you do have the options to go to a privat clinic, for either consultation or surgery ( it's one of the reason why, they are short of staff in the public hospital ).\n3- The boring part??? I don't know exactly where you live. Like every big country, they is more boring and less boring States. First of all I'm guessing you are in Toronto or Vancouver or Calgary maybe Montreal, The most expensive places in Canada to Live for sure. I live in Manitoba where the cost of living is pretty close to the cheapest in Canada. Yes minimum wage is $11.95 and apparently going up shortly. I totally agree with you about being taxed to death and the only reason Trudeau legalized pot was for another way to get more tax dollars. I wonder how the pot-heads feel about him now. Free health care you mentioned waiting 8 hours in emergency but you failed to mention if you need to see a specialist your talking months and you'll probably die first. As far as Canada being boring, where have you been? Being bored is a choice, I've lived here my whole life I'm never bored. Having said that I am retiring in Thailand where I can afford to retire. If I stay her I cannot retire. My take away from your video is if you don't know about this issues of living in Canada, you didn't do your research. So those of you looking into Canada as an option to live and work listen to these ladies because it's 95% true.\nBTW your comments about earning more in the USA, wrong! On average the min. Wage in the USA is $7.50 US Funds a few states are better but states like New York and California where the min. wage is higher it also cost a fortune to live there. \n$7.50 US Funds = $9.80 Canadian Average Min. wage is 0ver $13.50 CDN Funds = $10.33 USD

I totally agree with your video.\n\nI am European, and l have been living in Canada for 7 years, including 4 years in Toronto 2 years Ottawa and now In Montreal.\n\nWhen l arrived in Canada l started from the scratch in order to get Canadian experiences and improve my Eng, undestanble and l accept as new comer.\n\nI come back to college in order to get Canadian Educatiom post graduate program. \n\nI got my Canadian Citizenship, l am improving my French, as we know its important to be Bilingual in Canada.\n\nSo far after all this steps l didn't find my perfect and dreaming job, harder to find well paid job and stable.\n\nSometime l feel l loose my time here. I feel extremely sad and sick about the invasion of Muslim, Based on history, I know this invasion is planned they are here to conquer the lands. Nobody ignores that the objetive is to dominate the whole world which will be easier in 15 years when they became majority. I just hope I can get out of this country before the expand with the Sharia law. The culture is scary, from men to women the are agree with the sharia law, and liberals do not want to find out what that really means, but it will be too late when they get high positions all around the country. Actually, liberals normally do no have moral and that gives muslim a good excuse to believe that Alla is on their side and they are suposed to dominate.
