This lack of homes and never ending immigration with no pause reminds me of the US southern border. They just let them churn in like machines parts on a assembly line (refugee factories instead of immigration factories but low skilled workers) and the court system is overwhelmed to see these people for their appointment to determine if they're eligible to stay. All these problems are caused by Globalists which are mostly to the left. This is their form of Capitalism to get rich off the backs of citizens and the needy.

This is what happens when you don't have a social safety net and a socioeconomic system (capitalism) that cares only about profit. Housing is a basic human need and should be a basic human right. Its funny when people talk about the quality of Canadian health care. For example, BC Cancer is one of the best in the world. Canada is on the cutting edge of many health care procedures. Yes, its hard to get a primary care physician but that is because the US is throwing enormous amounts of cash at Canadian doctors and nurses. Canada still keeps up pretty darn well especially when considering Canada has only a FRACTION of the US population and much fewer resources and funds available. My family has never suffered from our health care system in the past 60 years. 1 family member had a quadruple bypass - no bills 2) cancer - no bills 3) emergency c-section w air transport to city 400 mils away - $360 for air ambulance 4) emergency appendectomy - no bills 5) Heart atttack w stint - no bill 6) MRI and CATscans - No bills 6) 3 ADHD diagnosis w mental health care support - no bills 7) industrial accident with crushed hand - no bills 8) Electrical accident with burns throughout body - no bills 9) burns from an oil fire - no bills 10) fall into fire pit w subsequent 3rd degree burns on leg - no bills 11) leg amputation from type 1 diabetes - no bills. And then there are all the little things that happen day to day. In each event, we received top notch care and services. So, you might earn more in the US but we save more in Canada and very few suffer from it. A lot of complaints? Most bad experiences are shared whereas positive ones are not. I think if people on both sides really looked, the US health care fails many more people per capital on a daily basis than in Canada. US insurers are known to abandoned people when they become overly expensive and its not unusual to not have choices in drugs or care options.

Pricing is not a Canadian specific problem. Look at anywhere people actually want to live in the US, it's essentially the same. LA and NY are just as expensive as Toronto. Only difference is there's less people in Canada that live in rural states like Iowa where everything is cheap because there isn't major city for hundreds of thousands of miles. This is all part of late stage capitalism and our inability to see past the short term. Corporations eventually take over if we don't do anything about it and everything becomes too expensive. People stop having kids so the government needs to increase immigration to support what few social systems we have left. I'm from South Africa where we have plenty of problems like rampant crime (that will affect you if you are ignorant) and serious electricity problems, to name only two. I have family who moved to the US and friends in Canada, and I would not move to the US. My kids are safer in school in crime capital SA because of the US gun laws, we can go to concerts with no worry for the same reason, we have freedom of religion and women are not subjected to religious-based reproductive laws (I do not understand why Tyler kept skipping over those concerns every time he came across them). We moan about our medical system, but people who cannot afford medical cover, which is most people in SA, still have access to decent medical care.

You may have Disney Land (and World) but I live in the original Disney Land which is Huron County, Ontario, Canada as Walt and Roy's dad and grandfather were originally from Bluevale, now Morris-Turnberry Township here in Huron County. Canada could be doing better as we have those in government trying to privatize our system further and breaking the laws doing it but the Feds aren't really doing anything either. At least we do have healthcare but there are still private systems in place, particularly for optical, dental, pharma and other systems. I also don't care for the American's lack of serious training for police, private prisons and the fact that slavery is alive and well there as well as your politicians' and citizens' insistence on keeping and maintaining capital punishment.

With all these extra people it is a good thing Canada has a focus on housing people based on need instead of maximizing profits for landowners(landlords). \n\nIf capitalism controlled housing in Canada then housing would be artifically restricted by any means available. These immigrants could be used as a BS pretext to justify increasing the prices (and thus profits) for the already inflated rates to rent. And of course you'd have sprawling homeless since homless people only exist as a literal reminder to the wage slaves what will happen to them if they don't pay their (land)Lord the monthly fealty(rent).\n\nWait no. Canada' more open immigration system is a great bonus for them relative to the US that being said they can't capitalize on it if they don't build the housing and transportation access to support the newcomers. New housing units are trailing incoming immigrants by a lot.

My parents were snowbirds for decades. At the end of their stay, they owned a small place in Safford, AZ. I spent all my vacations wherever they were, Texas, other parts of Arizona. I loved exploring the US with them - Dodge City, KS, Tombstone, Grand Canyon, Bryce Canyon, Capital Reef, Gila Cliff Dwellings, to name just a few. Multiple National Parks over their 30 years of winter stays. \n\nThe US is beautiful and steeped in history. We met some really nice people, and even loved a few of them (but not in a weird way).\n\nMy parents sold their place just before Trump became president (on purpose), and none of us have been back since.\n\nDon’t get me wrong, we have our share of ignorant and uneducated people, but most of ours don’t have guns. \n\nAnyways, I digress. Never, not once did we ever consider becoming American Citizens. Especially since Trump (OMG).\n\nWe love our country, even though it’s not perfect. I'm in Mobile Alabama and half the population lives in trailer Parks while they build whole neighborhoods every year that go unpurchased and they keep hiring more police to chase the ever growing homeless population around the city pretending they're doing the lords work.\n\nSome of you think these Mexicans are going to take your jobs, but I ask you: what jobs? Not the Dwight D Eisenhower interstate system before auto lobbies rallied against the development of a national commuter rail system, giving the rails to 4 big companies that refuse to allow passenger cars on their rails without massive fees because freight has a higher profit margin. And certainly not pension funds before they were dissolved in favor of the 401k, and the social security politicians are constantly working to cut while ever increasing the retirement age past what most people will never live to now that 45% of our water is tainted with PFOAs that will have everyone born today die of liver cancer before the age of 65.\n\nIt was CAPITALISM that made this country! Like there is no capital punishment in Canada, it is almost impossible to buy a handgun in Canada, Canada's head of state is the King, the metric system is mostly used in Canada, cannibis is legally sold in Canada, dental care is free for low income children under 18, abortions are totally legal in Canada, etc, etc

Imagine being in a country where the government is so corrupt and capitalistic that you have to flee to another country just to get a job and make enough to keep your family alive. it's funny I moved to Canada a little over a year ago and I want to move back to Australia for some of the reasons you want to leave Australia and more. Housing affordability here is a pipe dream unless you like living near mountains and want a laid back life like the life in Perth, in Calgary. But Calgary's job market is not great and that pretty much extends to every province except Ontario and BC. Living cost in Canada is very high... compared to what I experienced in AU, this is more expensive than living in Sydney. (I live in Toronto but this extends to Vancouver as well.) The healthcare system is weak, inefficient and inconvenient. Bureaucracy is again very slow, inconvenient and in some cases so backwards. Banking is not great, super inconvenient, not people-centric, inefficient and very much backward imo.. work-life balance or quality of life is way better in AU. Infrastructure development is slow and not great at all for a world-class country and personally, I expected better from Toronto.. (I do understand why it is the way it is right now, some justified reasons but some not so much) Things I do give props to CA... Diversity and inclusiveness is not just marketing slogan like in AU.. I don't feel like an outsider here... Its incredible. Job market is here much better than in AU. If you're moving from a country like AU, you will feel how capitalism here is made to make more money out of you every step of the way. But also, you will see how you can use that system to make alot of money. I think Canada is a great place to live if you're an entrepreneur or business person and making money is a primary requirement. But if you're someone who loves quality of life and work-life balance and want to probably own a good house, right now CA is not there. Also this doesn't mean CA isn't great, its fantastic... but compared to AU, canada comes short in many fronts. Also I love the weather here even if we have a pretty long winter.

How are they all militant without any weapons in hand trying to cross the boarder ?Funny enough the people who stormed the capital in January weren’t Militant and they were ready to lynch people and carried all types of weapons. These people are desperately looking for better lives . Btw, garanty of success, of employment, doesn't exist and it's baked in the capitalism system that private enterprise and private college prioritize profits (btw, for non Canadian, education, is not subsidized). \nNow, if illegal/fraud practices are occurring, then like any Canadian, you will have to make a complaint to the police and/or take legal action (basically If you don't have money, you're F!). \n \nMaybe the Ontario government should have more stringent laws for private Colleges and recruiting agencies, like mandatory advertising for: \n\t- the required money for subsistence and the low likelihood of finding a good job that will enable students to work; \n\t- the % failure, homelessness, suicide,... \n\t- mental and social stress, differences,... \n \nMaybe Canada could: \n\t- be more stringent with student visa and have a written acknowledgement that states all the risks and pitfalls. \n\t- Guive visa only if the recruiting was done through accredited agencies \n\t- Do official advertisements in India about the risks and requirements of studying abroad. \n \nMaybe a full capitalism society is not moral, but it's the system we decided to live in.

Immigrant wishful thinking. Canada does love immigrants and most of it's populace are immigrants, but that is only for well documented immigrants with high human capital. Canada uses a point based system to see whether new immigrants can contribute to society. Trudeau is making things worse. Look at the influx of Haitians coming to Quebec.
