Deportation of all these immigrants would bankrupt 0ur farming industry and lots of Americans would go hungry.

I’m an American citizen who was born in the United States (Hawaii). Everyone has the right to support or not support President Trump’s plans for mass deportation. The interviewer asked this Mexican American woman her opinion and she’s entitled to her opinion. There are a lot of Hispanic people who agree with Trump. I don’t think she’s turning her back on her family by saying “it’s okay” if they get deported. I think she’s respecting and supporting the rules of Immigration laws to have legal documentation to live in the United States. Rather than disrespecting and ignoring Immigration laws the way her family did. I think in a way she’s saying “it’s okay” her family gets deported because they deserve to be penalized for breaking Immigration laws for entering and staying in America for 20 or 30 years illegally which is valid and understandable. It comes down to the phrase “You commit the crime you do the time” whether it’s family or not. I believe she has a leg to stand on because she followed Immigration laws, received her Green Card and is living in the United States legally. If a family member of mine committed a crime and were put in jail or deported back to their country I would say “it’s okay” too. You reap what you sow.

To everyone that voted for him, expect your grocery bills to rise even more now, the Us imports a lot of food from Mexico, and on top of that he says he will deport millions of immigrants, many of them work in our fields, so we will be paying much more for our food, buckle up Americans, idiots elected and idiot for leader.

Why doesn't CNN talk about how tariffs raise prices for Americans??? Seriously, a lot of the problems we are facing now, is because media like CNN, isn't telling what exactly this stuff does, they normalize and that's why Americans are unaware of what tariffs really do. Also, Mexico has said they'll deport Americans that are there as well.

It is funny how you forget to mention the other side of things. You are supposed to be impartial, not side with one party or the other. While it might cost $20B to deport illegal immigrants, as of right now there are estimates between $150B and $450B a year of taxpayer money to keep them in the country. So even if you are not good at math, I'd prefer to spend $20B on every 1M, to stop wasting every year $150B. \nYour biases show a lot!

If Trump is serious, he'll crash the economy. Deporting useful people is a HUGE drain on the economy. We'll have to work overtime just to maintain the SAME quality of life. We need to banish a lot of unproductive Americans before we worry about those who bent over backwards just to come to our country.

I see a lot of (what I assume is MAGA) crying about confusing illegal and legal. Clearly this video was mostly about illegal. But the few charts with legal immigration data included show that there is a turn against both legal and illegal immigration (see chart on left at 1:50 ). Seems like MAGA victimhood seeking, as per usual ? Also note the massive run-up in Trump's 1st term in encounters (tripled from 2017-2019) ? He was only saved by COVID collapsing the economic drive for illegal immigration. And even then, most of the run-up post COVID lockdown was in place by Jan 2021 ( 3:30 ). So he does not have a great 1st term record, despite the hot air. Let's see this time, will be interesting to have the massive military deployment needed to detain, intern and eventually deport the 12m or so total ? Note again how that number has been basically constant over very slightly declining since 2005 see at 4:15 . Hmm, manufactured crisis? ???? Can't wait for the induced Trump inflation. ? Anyway, all hail glorious leader! One land, One people, One leader!

That last point is the real kicker. A lot of illegial people think of at the min are Chinese, Haitian, or Venezuelan. There is no functional way of deporting these 3 groups to their nation o origin.

Ok I have a question. Right now the unemployment rate is 4.1%, if 12M illegal immigrants get deported, who largely work in food processing, constructions, and healthcare support, who is going to take those jobs? We have 7M unemployed and if we deport 12M, that's 5M jobs at a minimum that will no longer be filled. You think food costs a lot now, what happens to the cost of food without them? Or the cost of building new housing, it certainly won't go down? Or the cost of taking care of granny in the old folks home, is she coming home to the family to provide round the clock care?

The region is populated by Hindus speaking Assamese (in Assam), Bengali (in Tripura) & Meitei (in Manipur), with a large significant population of Tibeto-Burmese tribal populations following either Christianity, their own folk religions or integrated with Hindus & a minority of Bengali Muslims (mostly in Assam). Following the Partition of India, many Bengali Hindus fleeing persecution migrated to Northeast India, fuelling further unrest. Over time, a large number of Bengali Muslims from what is now Bangladesh illegally migrated into the Northeast & integrated themselves with the local Muslim population (settled by the British), thereby changing the regional demographics based on religion. In the 1980s the increasing number of Bengali Muslims in the Northeast Indian state of Assam sparked an insurrection, which was put down after the Indian government promised to identify & deport illegal immigrants. Similar rebellions also broke out in other states of Northeast India by the tribal population against the rise in numbers of Bengali Hindus seeking shelter from religious persecution by Muslims in Bangladesh. However, very little progress was made in identifying illegal immigrants in Northeast India. After 2011 census revealed that Muslims outnumbered Hindus in Assam (but the combined Hindu-tribal populated outnumbered Muslims), talks began about setting a registrar & tribunal to speed up the process of identifying & deporting illegal immigrants from Bangladesh. This picked up pace after the Hindu nationalist BJP party came to power in the union government in 2014 & in Assam's state government in 2016. Around 2018, the Assam government started the National Register of Citizens to register the names of all people of the state provided that they can show proof of their/their parents being present in the state before 1971, inabilty to do so would cause to stand trial before a Foreigners' Tribunal to prove their citizenship or face deportation. This exercise was fraught with allegations of xenophobia, with Bengali Hindus, Gorkhas (settled by the British from Nepal to serve in the army) & Austro-Asiatic tribals (settled by the British to work as labourers in tea gardens) being branded as illegal infiltrators alongside Bengali Muslims. Those who were unable to prove their citizenship ended up rounded in detention centres, eventually to be deported out, which at that time many in Europe & USA had compared with Nazi concentration camps. \nIt would be interesting to see whether this same Nazi analogy is drawn up in case of the Trump administration doing the same as what happened in India.

There are a lot of scammers around the world. It is in your duty to identify them and never fall as prey. It's not Canada's fault that you are getting deported for false information. Scammers are getting better every time. It is your duty to do your own research so you won't get involved into this mess. Yes Canada immigration also needs to screen the application very carefully so this type of nonsense will not come to pass. If you fall prey to scammers that is your own fault for not doing the right thing or even following the right process. You guys like it easy then Canada will make it also easy for you. DEPORTATION. I am an immigrant myself and we followed every single steps to become an offcial canadian citizen. It took me years to become a citizen. And I am not just talking about 3 or 4 years later, but 10 years later coming from a skilled worker.

I see lots of comments bashing these folks and I get it, sort of. Trump won by a landslide, and most of his supporters want mass deportation. I find that ironic insomuch as everyone here, other than Native Americans, are or are descendants of immigrants. Did they all come here legally? And for those whose ancestors did, how much easier was it way back then. Plenty of hypocrisy to go around.

Ohhh if it was her own child I’m sure she wouldn’t be saying that’s ok.., there are many like her out there. They get those papers and they think they work for the White House. If she would’ve visited Mexico and had a kid while visiting and didn’t have the money for a green card it would have been a completely different situation. For those just because you got your papers do you not think that there are people that came here as infants or kids to immigrant parents that came to work to provide for their kids it’s not that easy to get your green card it cost thousands of dollars. Many immigrants that I know and worked with including myself, I came here as a refugee. Immigrants are the hardest working people I know. Unfortunately a lot of the ones that came here as kids grew up in some neighborhoods that are not so great and mainly are kids that were born here that are in gangs or doing drugs or violent so don’t blame immigrants saying they bring all this with them it was already here … drugs gangs violence was already here. Gangs started in the White House with their red and blues. Then they say they are taking all the jobs.. the jobs have always been here but people that are citizens are too lazy to go get jobs or keep jobs ( not all citizens) but the ones that are complaining immigrants usually come from villages without any media or drugs or gangs ect. They simply come here for better opportunities or for jobs. They come to work not to freakin take your jobs… this country everyone is a damn immigrant this country was taken from the natives taken with violence by killing them , rapi!’ Them. If they genuinely want to stop illegal immigration, why not make life difficult for them, instead going nuts on arresting and deportation that cost a lot, maybe stop illegals to get a job, renting a room, buying a car, getting mortgage, having driving licenses would be more effective and would cost way less.

Wowwww!! Clearly she has no idea about the laws and what happens after you’ve been deported. YOU CANT “COME BACK THE RIGHT WAY” for years… sometimes 15-20 years. And because of “quotas” and limits on population from countries, chances are they will never come back. This last sounds a lot like the wyt folx who say they did it “the right way” at Ellis Island etc. back when you just stood in line for a doctor to make sure you didn’t have cholera and other diseases or weren’t insane. The government will have to build hundreds of jails to put millions of immigrants and they will need everything any jail need, guards, doctors, nurses, security systems, etc. , and all that means money from all taxpayers, because there is not way to arrest anyone and be deported right away. The taxes will be so much that millions won't be agree with that and they will stop working and that will destroy completely our economy. We can't just work to pay taxes and higher prices for everything. Please just think about it. If you only think to destroy others because you just hate them, take a moment and think about yourself first. What will bother you more a ugly brown immigrant cleaning floors and bathrooms or paying a lot more for everything.

In response to the judging of immigrants. Interesting how we rarely see immigrants on our street corners asking for a handout. Instead they're at work making just barely enough to eventually have their own business in a few years. Latinos are a workforce and stimulate the economy because its a lot of hard work to maintain and sustain this country. Who's gonna do all that hard work when they're deported. Maybe our spoiled and privileged teens? All industries will suffer a void in their workforce causing products and service prices to increase. Billionaires like Corporations, Trump and Musk are the reason you are not doing well, not immigrants. Trumpism is fear, hate, blame and shame politics. Immigration has been a thing since a million years ago, and it will always exist. People migrate. Americans use 1,000 times the resources more than immigrants need. Immigrants don't even qualify to for well-fare assistance. When immigrants are gone and the borders are secured, who will be blamed next for America's problems. Instead of focusing on the greater good and progress for all Americans, Republicans can't help themselves to use their power to address their xenophobia, blame, hate without concern of who and what suffers, families of the working class suffer, and our economy, not billionaires. Mass change and reckless actions based on negative emotions and Ego based intentions of one man, is bad for everyone. Negative energy + negative actions amounts and results to nothing but negative consequences and repercussions. Trumpism is no bueno for America. I am a double hater cant stand Trump and I am a farmer, i dont use immigrants because i just grow crops that can be mechanically harvested and I have a small farm, But in the past I used to manage large farms where we had a lot of immigrants most were illegal and people don't understand why they're illegal It's because there is an arbitrary cap on how many migrants can come from Guatemala and Mexico if they wanted to come legally just a normal worker They have a 60-year waiting list so it's just impossible to come here legally. Most of these people are very hardworking good people that come here to work for 5 to 7 years save up money and then go back to Mexico or Guatemala build a house and start a business in their own country. \n\nThis year i begrudgingly voted for trump because for me the biggest issue is with the federal and state regulations that make farming much harder than it needs to be especially regulations on diesel engine emissions that cost me tens of thousands of dollars a year and many months of not being able to use my equipment that I spend hundreds of thousands of dollars on. And Kamala was the one who enforced the CARB emmisions standards that diesel engine manufactures have to comply with to sell into California which is the biggest consumer of these engines. \n\nLike right now I have my pickup truck that's been down for 6 months because of emissions problems and so many of the vehicles have emissions problems that the parts to fix it don't even have an ETA because they need to fix so many trucks and I have two other tractors broke down that I can't use all my friends that are farmers have a lot more and dems want to significantly increase emmisions standards in 2026. \n\nYou simply can't grow food at scale without reliable diesel engines There is no alternative The vast majority of food is planted and harvested mechanically in the US The bigger issue with food is not well illegals get deported It is will the diesel engines run to harvest 90% of the calories in plant them. \n\nWe have robots that can milk the cows most of the things that migrants harvest can be harvested mechanically and they are in other parts of the world It's just cheaper to do it with labor once that's not the case it will be mechanized. I would prefer to keep migrants here but give them legal working status if they have productive jobs and they pay tax.

If they deport workers from the chicken processing plants and farm workers there will be a lot of hungry people in this country.

Get them out, then they turn around and come back in illegally. Plus, where are they going to take them to? They gonna drop them off at the airport in their country are the countries gonna allow American planes to land there? There is so much more to it. What about abandoned properties and homes that people can’t afford to pay for because your family members are deported or cars that are left on the street because they’re deported jobs that aren’t filled anymore who’s gonna fill them because they’re deported there’s so much more to this what about just trying to make more people legal in America? If they all get deported, we will not have workers. Our country will go belly up if we lose those workers. We don't have the money to find and send all the illegals back. He didn't build the wall in 2016, how is he going to build the wall this time? I hope he builds a border wall on the Canadian border as well. I would deport a lot of people if I was U.S. president, but deporting Dreamers is a bad idea. There should be a bipartisan compromise: strict immigration enforcement combined with a path to citizenship for Dreamers (which is something that was unsuccessfully negotiated during Trump's first term). I'm not a Trump supporter, but I want to see Congress work together on immigration in a bipartisan manner.

Give them what they want. They want this mass deportation let them have it. It’s going to cost a lot of money will likely control the house of representatives and the US Senate as well as the president go ahead and do it find the money pay for it do it. Now it’s going to be very weird when we try and figure out who’s going to do the jobs that these people are literally doing right now, but worry about that later. I am guessing 5 million Indians will march towards Canada and it is safe to presume that Immigration India formerly known as Immigration Canada is gearing up to accept all these as permanent residents namely the ones with diapers over their heads and I presume Transit companies, municipalities, hospitals, schools, banks, etc.. across Canada are gearing up to hire them right on the spot. All the government has to do is give these pricks a 3 months grace period after which anyone overstays gets added to a Black list which means no permanent residency even if they spend the rest of their lives here and any child born to these pricks does not qualify for automatic citizenship plus fines for every day of overstaying with no maximum limit and denial of acceptance even if they leave at a later time and apply from overseas including family reunions. Conservatives will assemble a legal committee to revoke the status of anyone who switched from visitor, fake student etc... to permanent resident and order them deported. Trump is not joking and he will kick out millions in just 1 year because he has robust means and eager sheriffs to round them like chicken and ship them out.

When that mass deportation starts tax payers will be footing the bill and it's not going to go the way you think because it's going to affect a whole lot of people. It was announced today on the news that the Trump initiative to deport all illegal immigrants will cost up to $1 trillion dollars. That’s a lot of moolah. Which will come out of our taxes. And the tariffs that he went on and on about. Companies aren’t giving out bonuses to workers for end of year. Because they have to save money now because Trump will impose tariffs on incoming goods. The workers didn’t understand they assumed the cost would be paid by importers. In reality, it will trickled down to American consumers who have to pay for goods. Economists have been saying during the election this is a bad idea.Trump tried to do it the last time he was in office and it didn’t work. So people be aware you think you can’t afford things now wait you won’t be able to afford anything. PS the government has nothing to do with price gouging for food and they don’t set the price for gasoline or electricity, etc. ????

The plan is particularly cruel and it looks to be extremely racist in nature. It looks as though it is going to cost $10K per person to deport them so why not offer people $10K per head if they will leave voluntarily? However, can the USA afford to lose all these people? There will be massive job vacancies that cannot be filled, so many businesses will have to close down, causing hardship to the business owners. Perhaps the first step should be to find out why these people are considered to be such a drain on America's economy. It seems to me that they make a massive contribution. That being the case, why not make some criteria which, if met, will allow people to legalise their presence in America?\n\nAnything must be better than mass incarcerations and deportation which looks an awful lot like Nazi Germany.

He is not interested to really solve the problem. He needs a permanent hurly-burly for his propaganda to always show the country still needs him.
