Trump is only ever talking to a fraction of the US population. He doesn't care about anyone who didn't vote for him. He doesn't care about anyone outside of the US borders. All he cares about is himself.\nEverything he says has to be heard or read in that context. He's only ever talking to his loyals, to encourage them to continue being loyal and throwing more money at him.\nNothing else exists in his mind.\nThis explains his pronouncements and executive orders on every subject. It even explains all his lies.

I want to remind people that the reason Columbia declined the deportation was because they were brought over on military equipment in handcuffs. All Columbia wants is for their people to come back on commercial airlines with some dignity. THATS IT. So why is Trump's first reaction to punish people for wanting to compromise? They didn't say they'd never take them. They just want them returned with some dignity.

UPDATE: After President Trump SLAMMED Colombia with sanctions, Colombian President Gustavo Petro now says he will be sending the presidential plane to pick up deportees from the US, per CNN\n\nThat didn’t take long! ?\n\nTHIS is what strong leadership looks like. America is back. Let that sink in! Other counties actually respect strength and not just a “don’t” ??‍♂️?

What most MAGA supporters don't realize is that we're currently living in Trump's economy. The reality is that while he wasn't in office, he used the House as his own personal veto to block any substantial legislature from passing under Biden/Harris, so it makes them look incompetent. The economy bottoms out, countries go to war, the border explodes. I won't say it's all Trump's fault, however. As with the border, just like when Trump wanted to get rid of Obamacare but didn't have anything to replace it, Biden removed Trump's border policies with nothing to replace it. At least Trump didn't get rid of Obamacare without having something to replace it. Just too many mistakes on Democrats part, and too much interference from Trump from the outside. Now Trump will have unchecked power, just one step closer to a dictatorship.

Donald Trump although I didn’t vote for you and I honestly do not agree with everything you say and stand for, I strongly stand and support what you have planned to do for Illegal Immigration. This massive deportation plan you have set out is a great goal you have because all these illegal immigrants who are coming from all over the world and are bringing their problems to the USA ?? and are committing crimes here and are having their kids here which is a big safety threat for our fellow Americans, this massive deportation plan is exactly what we need for our country and I support you 100% on this!

Undocumented workers paid 96 billion dollars into Social Security and Medicare through the INT. They are not eligible to collect from those programs but there work help sustains them. They do work Americans do not want to do. Hotels hire them, farmers hire them, meat packing plants hire them, construction companies hire them. Removing them will be a disaster. Banks says the American people have spoken for it, I didn't. Only 51 percent of uneducated voters for Trump wanted it. We Democrats understand they are needed here. Republicans in the red state on Welfare won't go to work and do the jobs immigrants do. What will happen is Trump will cut the taxes for the rich, raise our taxes and do away with Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid and other needed social programs like CHIP, Meals on Wheels, School lunch programs etc... America will suffer and end up losing our allies and pulled out of the NATO agreement, which Russia wants us to do. Trump is friends with our enemies. He is a traitor to America and proved it when he stole top secret documents and refused to return them and showed them to people who had no clearance to do so. Dumb Americans voted him in after every warning from generals and all his staff to his own VP said he is not fit to sit in the oval office. Now all of America and our Allies will pay the price.

It was announced today on the news that the Trump initiative to deport all illegal immigrants will cost up to $1 trillion dollars. That’s a lot of moolah. Which will come out of our taxes. And the tariffs that he went on and on about. Companies aren’t giving out bonuses to workers for end of year. Because they have to save money now because Trump will impose tariffs on incoming goods. The workers didn’t understand they assumed the cost would be paid by importers. In reality, it will trickled down to American consumers who have to pay for goods. Economists have been saying during the election this is a bad idea.Trump tried to do it the last time he was in office and it didn’t work. So people be aware you think you can’t afford things now wait you won’t be able to afford anything. PS the government has nothing to do with price gouging for food and they don’t set the price for gasoline or electricity, etc. ????

I can't fathom how Latinos who voted for Trump expect him to do anything for them and betray their own family or other Latinos.? It's most certainly mind boggling and I am sure they know someone in their community who will suffer directly because of their decision to vote for Trump. As a trump supporter and I understand laws, am white Italian male from New York we need enforcement the laws deport illegals, great but he got a point, a live it by day mixed status families when I say mixed means your wife or husband are us.citizens and have American kids,children with husband or wife undocumented we should allow them to stay its around 500k people on this situation then the rest just deport them, my view is mixed status families is husband or wife are Americans born and have kids here they need to stay other mixed families like husband and wife are illegal and have kids they aren’t mixed status families because the father and mother didn’t born here no claim to stay here wait your kids be 18 them they apply for you to come back or the government consider them to stay here them they apply for numbers go to 5 million people and the rest send them home this is my 2 cents because in Europe if you are married to a European citizen you allowed to stay laws are different from country to country’s also trump mothers she was a illegal immigrate till she married trump fathers that’s fact google it ?

That old lady is absolutely and outright lying. First off, she stood in lines for hour or days to get her green card? That means she came at a time when immigration was much easier and wanted, to increase gdp and to do the jobs normal Americans didn’t want to. Now, immigration takes forever, many years in fact, because the older republican white generation figured out that they yet again the minority, which has never actually changed. But republicans now use the immigration card because it’s literally their only option, why do you think Trump stopped the bill. He would be losing so much support. Also, for that old Mexican lady to say those things about her own family, tells me, she is not someone who cares for others or may even care at all. She became a racist just like the republicans and her family should be ashamed of her. Lastly, different times of immigration, this time around, those leaving other countries are trying to save their families lives, having to deal with authoritarian dictators, drug cartels and corrupt governments. She may have had some of that, but I doubt it, she just wanted to move here and make a better life for herself, screw her loved ones. She is an abomination and one of the reasons this country has lost itself, if a Mexican immigrant cannot feel sympathy or empathy for those people in a very similar situation than that person has truly been corrupted by the republicans “all about me” mantra.

What this lady doesn't understand is that it doesn't matter if she has her green card because people like her will also be deported because it's not going to be only Trump it's gonna be the Heritage Foundation in charge of going after them and they aren't going to care if you are Mexican and have a green card they just don't want you here period! This lady reminds me of the other Mexican lady in 2016 who was a big time Trump supporter and she had a green card and Trump's people had it revolt and deported her in front of her kids who were born here and she was telling them that she was a Trump supporter and worked in Trump's campaign and they didn't wanna hear it she was deported anyway! All I have to say to that lady is karma is a bitch and God doesn't like ugly!

Trudeau has ruined Canada with its open door immigration policy. When trump was elected I rember him saying Canada welcomes you and ?he had people coming from roxem road like crazy . What was he thinking with his over immigration. And then there’s so called diploma mills from no name colleges made things even more worse. Canada needs to send international students back to India when they are fi disused there diploma . A study visa was never a promise to permit residency. If that didn’t make things worse you had the so called international students lined up at food banks to get free food how embarrassing that food is meant for people\nLiving below the poverty line and as a student on the application you have to check that little box saying you have enough money to feed yourself.

Like you, I know someone happy with their job, location, medical care and opportunities, but they are also very uncomfortable with the political situation - I'll just say it - Republicans. You need only look at Trump and its followers. Guns over lives (including kids), billionaires over poor, religion over others' freedoms (gay/trans/abortion, etc), mass spread of misinformation (Fox news, OAN, etc) and a personal selfishness and anger which was made very clear during COVID times. It makes them feel like they are walking on eggshells, at least compared to Canada where they lived before and people would look out for each other more (even if they didn't know them). They like the weather, job, opportunities, the USD buying power, and their friends, among many other things, but it just feels excessively risky to them dealing with the combinations of these things. I can completely understand why they and others might want to leave the US.

A few years ago, I knew an American, living in NZ who would consistently pass himself off as a canadian(even before tRump) which should tell you about how Americans are viewed overseas. He didn't sound very Canadian I have to say.\nOh and most health care systems are survivable if you don't get sick or have any accidents. That's really not an endorsement of the system.

US - the problem is when there are obvious problems you have a system that allows big money into politics, which allows for lobbying, which in my opinion is legal bribery. The idea that politicians had ( or have ) NRA ratings for supporting openly guns and not implementing the most logical of common sense gun control. \nHealthcare - in Canada, not having the healthcare tied to your employer actually makes Canadians a more free country. There are a lot of Canadians in the arts ( musicians, painters etc. ) that have the freedom to pursue any employment that wish, and not worry about the health benefits. \nIt kind of surprises me that you were surprised about school shootings. From what we see, that is not happening all in big cities. Sandy Hook was the worst. To think that Congress didn't do a thing after that, is reason enough not to want to move there.\nAnd Donald Trump has soured my wanting to ever even go there on holiday. Unbelievable that after two years, so many Americans believe anything he says, when he claims that he won in 2020 with not even a ounce of evidence to the contrary. There is not even a theory that would explain his claims. The mistrust of Americans with each other stems from people like Trump and Fox news. \nI think as you said - Healthcare alone is enough for almost any Canadian. I don't know anyone that owns a gun, I don't know of anyone who has gone bankrupt for being sick, and I never worry my granddaughter going to school and being shot.

We are so litigious (side eye to John Edwards ) that doctors practice defensive medicine and carry high limit malpractice insurance (guess who pays for that?). Every decision is driven by avoiding lawsuits, not proper patient care.\n\nPost Obamacare, US health care is an unmitigated disaster at every level. We’re short on doctors, too. Many quit and students are losing interest—medicine won’t pay enough anymore to justify $500K in loans.\n\nWe could repeal every bit of Obamacare tomorrow and still not be able to fix it. The leviathan grew tentacles that released toxins into every nook and cranny of the system. Now that they have buried themselves in critical layers, it would be impossible to yank them out.\n\nI have a good PCP who is booked 6-8 weeks out. Specialists? Hah. GI, neuro, and derm? Nor can we claim to have eliminated racism. That takes time; it cannot be done by force.\n\nOur economy went from smokin hot to dumpster fire in a short span of time. Pre election, head hunters were shaking the trees to find job candidates.\n\nOur unemployment is up as are our taxes with the stomping out of the tax cuts. \n\nDespite the endless sloganeering about how the Trump tax cuts only benefited “rich” people, it’s quite the opposite.\n\nHigh earners lost their pet deductions and lower income taxpayers were quite pleasantly surprised when they did their returns. The cuts were targeted to preserve wealth for the middle and lower classes.\n\nI could go on for another 100 pages but you get the idea and I get crabby writing for free.\n\nI will leave you with the caution that it’s best if you doubt and question any data and any stats coming from our government. Those are seldom legit. If the data comes from a study, always look to see who paid for it. And how large the sample size was; how were the participants selected? When TRUMP was in office he was saying that WE NEEDED TO STOP TAKING PEOPLE IN, AND STOP HIRING PEOPLE THAT DIDN'T HAVE A GREEN CARD, BECAUSE WHEN THEY COME THE FIRST THING THEY DO IS GET ON WELFARE AND HOUSING, THEN ON SOCIAL SECURITY, BUT PEOPLE WASN'T LISTENING.
