I remember back in the early 1990s, Toronto. Immigration would kick down your door, raid certain factory, put out Canada wide warrants... But then again it was the Jamaicans, Lucians, or any small island people that suffered the most! 😢😢😢

I miss the canada i visited as a kid in the early 2000s. Now I came and it was horrible, they have no regard for rules

I went to Highschool at J. A. Turner SS in Brampton, during the early 80's and there were a couple black kids and everyone else was white. Then I moved to Montreal, to start my career as a fashion designer... it was surprising to come back to visit family in Toronto and hear how fast Brampton had became a 'brown' town. (Not surprised to hear of India's global domination, as the population of the planet is out of control... consider the population of the planet in 1725 was half a billion, then in 1825 it was 1 billion, then in 1925 it was 2 billion, and in 2025 it is over 8 billion.)

I was told in early 80s. They are coming here to take over country. To make it their own state.(country)
This from a major religious leader I had to drive to airport in my taxi.

its the same complain all over the world...immigration and immigrants was all well and good until early 2000s when those immigrants came to wor and build a life and assimilated and there was healthy distribution of all ethnics and races...after mid 2000s was when immigration went of the rope for europe and north america and all sorts of looneys got through...and because of them the good immigrants from prior are suffering the most as they are also seen as pests...

Please stop mass immigration. The Canadian immigrants of today are not the ones of the 90's and early 2000's they come with no intention of assimilating into Canadian culture. Till that changes, we need to tighten our borders, especially to foreign students from the Middle East and south asia who are abusing our system.

Dave Chappelle’s mother, Dr. Yvonne Seon (née Reed), was not a spy, but she did have a very unusual background that sometimes sparks those rumors.
Here’s what’s known:
Academic & Diplomatic Work: Dr. Seon was an academic and later became one of the first African American women to be ordained in the Unitarian Universalist Church. She earned her PhD and worked in higher education.
Congo Connection: In the early 1960s, after Congo’s independence, she worked with the Congolese government under Patrice Lumumba. She served in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and helped establish Congo’s diplomatic mission in Washington, D.C.
Spy Rumors: Because this was during the Cold War — when the U.S. and CIA were deeply involved in Congo (including in Lumumba’s downfall) — people sometimes speculate about Americans who were there. That’s likely why the “spy” rumor exists.
But there’s no credible evidence that Dave Chappelle’s mother was a spy. The record shows she was a diplomat, scholar, and educator, not an intelligence agent.

I grew up in Brampton and I immigrated from India in the early 2000s, one thing that's not mentioned is the recent (2024) riots between Sikhs and Hindus. When I was growing up in Brampton, I had friends who were Sikhs, Pakistani Muslims, Chinese Christians, Hindus, Black, and White. The Sikh seniors used to say good morning to us on the morning walks to school and everyone got along because we accepted that bringing the racial/ethnic conflict from India to Canada was wrong. Recently, there have been tensions, fights, riots, and clashes between Hindu and Sikh Nationalists because the government is not actively filtering for quality immigrants anymore and the people being lured to this country are the ones who can't understand that this is wrong. This would have been unheard of 10 years ago.

Here's the whole problem/situation summarized: Canada has been getting treated like it's a vacation resort rather than a country.
And yeah, it doesn't entirely matter who exactly is treating it this way. Those who move to and those that live in have been doing this. Which is unfortunate, it's supposed to be far better than this but peace has made people delusional in a way and started to treat Canada like a resort for their early retirement. While trying to act like they AREN'T retirees.

Liberal white boomers voted for all of this and continue to vote for it, blame the boomers and early Gen X.

Listen to the white guy talking about working hard
How did this all start because back in the early days white Canadians sat on their backside getting welfare because they didn’t want to work
Trudeaus father would say back then how lazy the Canadians were they wouldn’t work but drink and take drugs
My father would rent property to lazy white men that would pretend to be good people but were lazy lying nasty people so watch your words
Blame the government don’t attack the people because you people were worse back in the early times

In the early 60's my wife and her family immigrated to Canada. The benefit they got were the opportunity to live and work here. Their story was the same as my (four) Grandparents. Come, work and don't commit crimes lest you be deported. They all got the same benefits ... the opportunity to live and work here.
Too bad that;'s COMPLETELY changed.

Its not just the new immigrants that makes issues. Early immigrants are the ones running all the frauds and businesses and mostly new comers are victims. They are the ones working in the government as well. Most people i work with me are early immigrants or second generation. They dont vote and shows no interest. All they do is complain. Even after 15 20 years they are not integrated in to canadian society.

There’s nothing like that ever it’s all alive. What you saying? This is just the wish of some bigots. You’re feeling all your doctors and other professional gaps and you’re given all the lower jobs from restaurants to any other lower jobs that Canadians don’t wanna do. Yes you’re right. An immigrant family can come here and six years later have a house because they share all the family by a house because they have a family value. The earlier arrivals here to buy house is a big dream they won’t make it except the privileged the work by family members and oil rigs are the professionals. This country use built by immigrants all it is the early arrivals and the late arrivals. To begin with this is a stolen country. At least the immigrants are coming by legal method, but the early arrivals they just stole it by killing the natives.

Don't worry Tariffs are paid for by Canada I really do not know if he is so stupid he believes that or he knows and does not care either way it is so dumb and hurtful to think otherwise. The last time tariffs like this were in place was the late 1800's and early 1900's. If anyone know this time it was the time of the oligarchs like Rockefellers Carnegies that road the backs of the everyday Americans making them the richest people in the world. Notice a theme here, I do!!

Liar47 is implementing these tariffs thinking he can mislead and/or convince putin/russians to overlook all u.s transgressions against russia since the early nineties and work as a friend of the usa...\nThis is a quintessential example of the danger of believing what you think and/or your own narrative outcome...
\n
This liar47 created western dog and pony show is transparent to the non-european world...\nNEWS FLASH to all western players in this game... a] russia will never be a western world ally or trusted friend--it would be fatal, b] russia will not betray brics nations, c] russia will not stop selling military weapons and essential support to natural resource rich southern hemisphere nations...\nIt's a fools objective spearheaded by the genius-in-charge...

Trump is causing international divide and economic turmoil, not peace and collective harmony. He needs to wake up and realize his flaws early.

Canada and Canadians you're the luckiest bunch on the face of this earth. If trump didn't mess things up this early you might have elected maple maga and bonjour disaster. This trump blunder was a blessing in disguise. Never ever play with your cherished liberties and democracy by giving control of it to fascist leaning political party. Go Canada❤

I cannot see any sanity, logic, or forward looking, with putting tariffs on our allies. It is hurtful to everyday Americans. Who benefits from this? The wealthy, like t-rump, and his cronies. Meanwhile the traitorious Supreme Court works on bending the law to suit t-rumps bidding. We are early in this presidency. If you think inflation was a very serious concern of t-rump or the repubies, why doesn't he fix it right now? What he is doing is causing inflation to skyrocket with no end in sight. Those of you wealthy who think t-rump is right are a leach who feeds off of taking from those who have little to nothing. If t-rump wanted to he could fix it on day one like he said. He has no idea what he is doing - laying off thousands of federal workers. He wants to bring jobs to America by becoming a traitor to our very faces with putin. you repubes are all traitors to what the Flag stands for. Those jobs won't come in the next 4 years. If there are no manufacturing plants in the U.S. we will have to build them. How long will it take to build these factories and tool them up to accept workers? None of what the repubes agenda is set about bringing jobs to America - the way I see it, we are losing jobs now. The factories won't be ready for years. You who voted for this freak - I hope you suffer the most.

Robert De Niro’s statement on Donald is perfect. \n\n “I’ve spent a lot of time studying bad men. I’ve examined their characteristics, their mannerisms, the utter banality of their cruelty. Yet there’s something different about Donald Trump. When I look at him, I don’t see a bad man. Truly. I see an evil one. Over the years, I’ve met gangsters here and there. This guy tries to be one, but he can’t quite pull it off. There’s such a thing as “honor among thieves.” Yes, even criminals usually have a sense of right and wrong. Whether they do the right thing or not is a different story — but — they have a moral code, however warped. Donald Trump does not. He’s a wannabe tough guy with no morals or ethics. No sense of right or wrong. No regard for anyone but himself — not the people he was supposed to lead and protect, not the people he does business with, not the people who follow him, blindly and loyally, not even the people who consider themselves his “friends.” He has contempt for all of them. We New Yorkers got to know him over the years that he poisoned the atmosphere and littered our city with monuments to his ego. We knew first hand that this was someone who should never be considered for leadership. We tried to warn the world in 2016. The repercussions of his turbulent presidency divided America and rattled New York City beyond imagination. Remember how we were jolted by crisis in early 2020, as a virus swept the world. We lived with Donald Trump’s bombastic behavior every day on the national stage, and we suffered as we saw our neighbors piling up in body bags. The man who was supposed to protect this country put it in peril, because of his recklessness and impulsiveness. It was like an abusive father ruling the family by fear and violent behavior. That was the consequence of New York’s warning getting ignored. Next time, we know it will be worse. Make no mistake: the twice-impeached, 4-time indicted Donald Trump is still a fool. But we can’t let our fellow Americans write him off like one. Evil thrives in the shadow of dismissive mockery, which is why we must take the danger of Donald Trump very seriously. So today we issue another warning. From this place where Abraham Lincoln spoke — right here in the beating heart of New York — to the rest of America: This is our last chance. Democracy won’t survive the return of a wannabe dictator. And it won’t overcome evil if we are divided. So what do we do about it? I know I’m preaching to the choir here. What we’re doing today is valuable, but we have to take today into tomorrow – take it outside these walls. We have to reach out to the half of our country who have ignored the hazards of Trump and, for whatever reason, support elevating him back into the White House. They’re not stupid, and we must not condemn them for making a stupid choice. Our future doesn’t just depend on us. It depends on them. Let’s reach out to Trump’s followers with respect. Let’s not talk about “democracy.” “Democracy” may be our holy grail, but to others it is just a word, a concept, and in their embrace of Trump, they’ve already turned their backs on it. Let’s talk about right and wrong. Let’s talk about humanity. Let’s talk about kindness. Security for our world. Safety for our families. Decency. Let’s welcome them back. We won’t get them all, but we can get enough to end the nightmare of Trump, and fulfill the mission of this “Stop Trump Summit.””

Trump wasn't elected. The tabulating machines for early voting were hacked to change votes to Trump after a certain number was reached for Kamala. See Las Vegas NV data. Same in other swing states. We have been cheated.

Canada, the American people don't want this and a lot of Trump supporters didn't want this either. I'm sorry that y'all too have to suffer and deal with a man that doesn't lead your country. Believe me I would swap with y'all tomorrow. \n\nIt's amazing how Canada came up with how many billions for border patrol but we can't get Congress to pass a bill. President Biden tried to get a bill through Congress within his first 100 days and they wouldn't pass it then either. We have scanners sitting at the Mexican Border that will detect Fentanyl but Congress would approve using them either. Everyone needs to find out how their Representative voted on that bill and make sure they are not in office next time. \n\nI don't know how this man got elected but I feel like Musk and Starlink helped him win. I just heard that Starlink is what was used to send the results in the swing states. Musk told someone an hour before polls closed that Trump was the winner, with his evil laugh and let's not forget Trump telling his supporters that they didn't need to vote cause he will win without them. That's fishy. \n\n\nY'all what do we do if he won't leave office? What do we do then? I know he just got in the White House but it's never too early to have a plan to get him out. They worked on Project 2025 for 4 years and now it's all falling into place. OMG! What are we going to do?

Trump is obviously transferring most of US assets in East and Southeast Asia. While we are seeing bad trade news after another, this is only focused mainly on Western countries.\n\nJapan and Taiwan recently pledging billions of USD as investments are one of the indications that Trump is relocating its financial and possibly military support to Asia. Philippines will also be conducting a meeting with him and I think he would have defense and economic deals with our country as well.\n\nCanadian and Mexican economies would indeed suffer while European security would be in danger with the US pulling out of NATO soon. But we are seeing an indication that the trade and defense assistance is being transferred to Pacific Asia for some reason. This would mean the economic repercussions would not bring down the US to its knees, but it would still be pretty significant early on since Asian markets would take a while to develop.

We have a president who cares abour the economic state of our country and the morale of its blue collar worker. Our country has been ripped off by people abroad and internally. This is pressure on all governments we do business with for equal trade. We are forcing countries to become more self reliant. Each country needs to become the greatest version of itself unfettered by people dictating laws that enrich themselves at the behest of its citizens. We elected trump to tear down the old, fix the waste, weed out the greedy players taht dish out our money and get kickbacks. Thats all. America is about to become super self reliant and bring back an early 1900s boom. We can no longer be the piggy bank of the world.

Our allies have good reason to believe we are no longer a beacon of freedom. Coming from a family with ties to both countries since the early 1700’s I’m appalled at the lack of public confrontations with politicians who remain sidelined by fear of reprisals from a corrupt judiciary and President.

With everything happening in crypto, Trump’s reckless trade war only worsened global instability.\n\nHis leadership relied more on branding, risk-taking, and debt management than genuine financial success. \nHe faced massive losses, multiple bankruptcies, and leveraged tax loopholes. \nRather than a self-made mogul, his wealth was propped up by debt, branding, and media influence.\n\nIn the early 1990s, heavy debts led to several Trump business bankruptcies, including three Atlantic City casinos and the Plaza Hotel.\nBy 1995, he reported a $916 million tax loss, potentially allowing him to avoid federal income taxes for up to 18 years.\n\nSigh, standby for tough times. #hopium

Fewer people are vacationing south. Prime Minister Trudeau mentioned Old Orchard Beach as one of those places. A place where my family since early 1900s travelled to. That’s how long just my family has been connected with the US and my American cousins.
