Most people love the country they grew up in, no matter what. Our first home always holds a special place, and getting used to other norms is challenging. Both countries offer such diverse opportunities, I'm sure there's a place for everyone depending on your priorities.

The answer is simple, cut immigration, period. Unemployment rate is crazy for students looking for work because immigrants are taking the jobs. Look after your countries people first. Then look through immigration for what you have shortages of second. Canada use to understand and do this way better before Trudeau. But Trudeau just opened the doors to everyone. Putting Canada in a terrible state.

The reason is that some Indian finds it difficult to integrates.\n\n I know one Indian lady that have lived in one country for over 20 years and the lady cannot speak the language of that country. What a shame! \n\nSecondly, many of them like to dominate or discriminate against other people. It has been alleged that some Indian people discriminate against others in many places they work. For instance! Where their people are in charge in Canada, they will not offer jobs to none Indian. They preferred to give the job to an illegal immigrants from india than to give it to someone else who has complete paper work. \nThe video is on YouTube. \n\nIllegal immigrants from India protest boldly in Canada asking government to give them papers but reserve is the case in India. If an illegal immigrants is found anywhere in India, the name of that person is sorry. Too many foreigners are in India prisons for minor offence or immigration matters. I can go on and and on. \n\nVisa rejection is not a bad thing!!! Everyone must protest his or her own. \n \n\nIf it is possible, everyone should stay in their own country. No movement. Do business with your own people. No international business!!! \n\nOur ancestors survived without others, therefore we can survive too. \n\nI know many people will not like this comment but it is an opinion. \n\nI still like India but will not live there. Good luck to them. \n\n\nIn my view their ascent contributes to numerous visa denials. Let's say 10% . Then 30% is forgery. It has been alleged that some of them do too many documents forgery to get to Canada or whereever they wish to travel.\n Then \n10% is women maltreatment. (stories of rape etc). \n\n Finally, india is very big, they need to use their population as a tool for development. They have all it takes to be like China. 100%\n\nWake up Indian government. Look after your citizens or divide the damn country. It is too big. ?

They don’t care about Canada but come here and force us to adapt while we’re in a housing and economic crisis and overpopulated and just finished lockdowns and layoffs and are being a gaslit into thinking we’re racist for seeing only one culture in our own country. it’s quite something especially for us who are still struggling to pay bills and make any money and have any joy in life seeing people come and claim victimhood in a place they just got too on purpose is quite appalling. It’s just Canadian culture is inherently taught to be honest and treat everyone equal when they know this and use it against us so they can lie and only help there own. It’s quite interesting how American politics has gotten young Canadians so confused on self identity and the idea of being racist that were just allowing it and bending over for them. Canadians are lonely and poor and cold and confused and will never own a home but immigrants are coming in and just expecting us to assimilate to there own culture across the world. I hope things change in the media as the media seems to be neglecting real Canadian hardships and sees Canadian citizens as rich privileged people that aren’t being directly fucked by this

Unfortunately, there has to be some criteria by which each country has to make a judgement. I do not understand why she is cribbing here. There is this guy who keeps going on international trips and everyone in India for gaga over the importance he brings to India through those trips. What happened? Not working? They fail to understand that all the hugs and kisses are only for the TV and in reality every country just cares for the business opportunity they get out of the other. \n\nPalki keeps talking about using our economic power. Who should be weilding it? Is it not the Government? Do they really care if an individual or a lot of their citizen's visa get rejected? They are busy painting a rosy picture to their blind followers. They abuse and mock organizations that put down the ranking of our country instead of understanding the reason behind those ranking. They have no data to contradict the agencies but use rhetoric and everyone seems to be happy about it.\n\nWhy has this lady not put in any thought on the other possible reasons for rejections that could be because of the applicants? The easiest thing to do is blame other countries for the rejection without thinking why certain types of countries reject and what has our citizens done in those countries? No point in thinking about a few people who helped build Dubai or those one of cases like Pichai & Nadella. Think of those who go their and cause concern to those countries.

It is not just the number of students, it is the quality of the students. Majority of these students are not top notch or the ones who will integrate well into society. Most of the schools accepting students in Canada and Australia are businesses run by former immigrants to these countries, who saw the business opportunity of charging people to give them admissions to low quality un-ecreditted schools, which they run themselves. Then in the midde of the school years they will push students to apply for immigration or refugee status. Everyone knows what the scam is but the governments are not addressing it. I am pro immigration but the systems have changed (broken) from what they used to be 20/30 years ago.

Moved from Canada last August (2024). This country used to be on par with Switzerland in terms of quality of life, work-life balance, how nice everyone was, you name it. After 2020 I couldn't recognize this country anymore. Moved back to Israel, a country that was overrun with corruption, war and looming financial crisis. Now I'm planning my move to Cyprus. I heard the people are extremely nice, there's practically 0 crime and the Island is amazing overall.

The US government is actually using the name of the continent to its citizens and country. We are US citizens and citizens of the United States. Everyone in North America Central America South America the Americas the American continent is an American like Asia are Asians Africa are Africans and Europe are Europeans.Europe has 50 countries Asia has 51 countries Africa has 54 countries Oceania has 14 countries and America is not a country America is a continent of 35 countries in total. ....

Even with the guns like. We have guns here. We just don’t think it’s better to have barely any regulation control or laws about attaining them owning them and what is appropriate use of them versus not. To watch Americans defend their right to bear arms as a reason to entirely ignore the amount of gun violence , combined with insane laws that literally enable or encourage said violence , from people who are not in anyway necessarily trained to asses or handle as safely as possible , urgent situations. To have any children or schools shot up not immediately cause a national need to solve the problem but jsut have it ongoing and not much change to address the issues of innexsssary gun violence to not just Canadians but a lot of the world , looks entirely insane and white honestly idiotic lol I’m just being real. \n\nTo spend the amount yall do on military to feel safe , but have such unsafe conditions in the general public is crazy to a lot of us. Outside America. Yall are a danger to yourselves and okay with that? Lol same thing with food and nutirion and fda things that are acceptable and legal but banned everywhere else ?like. You guys do realize ur safety is not only about who owns the most guns you will be less safe if ur health is poor, bec of insane things being legal to be sold and eaten , healthcare is not easily accessible , and the gun violence of ur own is always a possibility like. How does that feel safe ? \n\nI have a friend who went to school on scholarship and now works married and lives there and she hates it and feels terrified all the time. Her own husband is American and owns a gun but she hates it hates guns now. And is exhausted and has anxiety issues as a result of a lot of the culturally and legally normal gun ownership and attitudes there. A lot of Canadians would feel the exact same way. And to WANT your country to be run and managed that way screaming it at the top of ur lungs is. Bonkers bat shit crazy to many of the rest of us. Ur not the only country where it’s legal to own guns and have them, but yet we’re not hearing about school\nShootings as a problem that just never gets solved and everyone who lives there sort of shrugs about ? lol it’s. Odd. To. Us.

TRUDEAU HAS TO GO! We need major immigration reform now! Student visas should not be used as a means to jump the queue to legal immigration! It is ILLEGAL to overstay your visa and the entire system is being abused! SEND THEM BACK. They can apply legally from their home countries like everyone else.

Everyone here hates Canada, it’s so sad to see, I’m an American who used to live in Compton USA, and let me tell you the gang violence was very real my uncle Rick was killed by a drive by incident while buying a pack of cigarettes and he wasn’t even the target. He walked right into a gang war, because of this we left and moved to Canada, best decision of my life because now I live in Mississauga, and here I don’t have to worry about the gang violence and drive by shootings, I can raise my two girls here in safety. First of all Canada and America are European colonization countries. In response to the judging of immigrants. Interesting how we rarely see immigrants on our street corners asking for a handout. Instead they're at work making just barely enough to eventually have their own business in a few years. Latinos are a workforce and stimulate the economy because its a lot of hard work to maintain and sustain this country. Who's gonna do all that hard work when they're deported. Maybe our spoiled and privileged teens? All industries will suffer a void in their workforce causing products and service prices to increase. Billionaires like Corporations, Trump and Musk are the reason you are not doing well, not immigrants. Trumpism is fear, hate, blame and shame politics. Immigration has been a thing since a million years ago, and it will always exist. People migrate. Americans use 1,000 times the resources more than immigrants need. Immigrants don't even qualify to for well-fare assistance. When immigrants are gone and the borders are secured, who will be blamed next for America's problems. Instead of focusing on the greater good and progress for all Americans, Republicans can't help themselves to use their power to address their xenophobia, blame, hate without concern of who and what suffers, families of the working class suffer, and our economy, not billionaires. Mass change and reckless actions based on negative emotions and Ego based intentions of one man, is bad for everyone. Negative energy + negative actions amounts and results to nothing but negative consequences and repercussions. Trumpism is no bueno for America. His approach to fixing immigration will hurt and break America.

conveniently misnaming illegal migrants as refugees just to implement the soros plan. illegal migrants have no rights to any country except their own. period. take them back, let them apply through the proper channels for whatever they want to apply for. from their own country. it used to take the canadian authorities 3-4-5 years to grant temporary resident visas. Undoing the damage that has been done over the last decade would take a long time. Beginning with a reduction to 25-50k MAX and NO refugees or asylum seekers. Under safe third country, we are obligated to take NO-ONE from anywhere. And, time to start Trump level deportation. Everyone that has committed ANY criminal offense, GONE. Anyone that does not have a job to sustain them and their family, GONE!! Extreme actions are the only hope. British created separatism issue between India and Pakistan. I can tell you one of the major reasons. It is the fact that these immigrants from India do not want to assimilate into Canada. Instead they bring their ways with them into Canada and some of those “ways”, are not acceptable in Canada. One example of that is the whole using the bathroom on the beach. But one that hits hard for me is the insane amount of immigrants that are harvesting spawning salmon with nets, without any of the properly paperwork that is needed to fish salmon with a rod. Using a net is illegal, I know they know it because when I catch them doing this. They become quiet and all of a sudden, after hearing them just speaking English, they pretend they do not know English… I can tell you this is all true. The other thing I have seen with my eyes is shop lifting from the local grocery store. I have never seen that before, not ever in all my years living here. It would be somewhat different if they were stealing essential items and essential foods. But they are not doing that, they are stealing all the luxury items. I am a white Canadian and I am proud of it, but guess what. I am also proud of the fact that I have a doctor that came from India and his family is thriving here. It makes me proud that he chose our country try to come to, with his educational background, it also makes me proud that he and his family have taken the time to try and assimilate into our culture. When I say assimilate by the way, I do not want them or and immigrant to completely abandon their cultures, I just would prefer it if they assimilate to the point where we can have a healthy community instead of all these separate cultural areas in our towns and cities. I love the fact that you spoke some harsh truths here sir, much respect to you and your family sir. I hope you can continue making such informative videos for people to learn from. The other thing I have to add is that the word racism is thrown around too much and too easily in our current woke cultural climate here in Canada and this is just making the immigration issues worse because it produces a culture of fear for those Canadians that would like to help educate those immigrants that need help. But they do not do so because they are afraid of being labeled a racist or some other word and having their livelihoods and overall lives ruined. I am in a position in life where I do not care if people want to say such things about me. I am also well educated and in the position to come up with well articulated arguments in my defence. My main issue with immigration that bothers me more than the rest not only affects us Canadians but also affects the immigrants as well. Ok so before mass immigration was a thing here in Canada our healthcare system that we all used to be extremely proud of the as showing too many cracks and we knew it was falling apart. You think the government would place more funding into the healthcare system. Well that has not happened and if anything they have taken more funds away from our healthcare system than any other time in our country’s history. So before the mass immigration begun we had a major issue with having way too many patients and not enough medical staff to adequately treat everyone in a timely and healthy manner. So now think about that, the healthcare system was already stressed with the current population before mass immigration. How do you think adding waves and waves of more people every year via mass immigration is affecting that system? The answer is this… if the system was stressed beforehand, it is collapsing now. I am one of the lucky few that has a family doctor right now. It takes three months the just for me to see her… If I have an emergency and have to call 911, the ambulance will take me up to the local ER and then I will be wheeled out to the waiting room, which defeats the purpose of me calling 911 for a ambulance. I have waited two days at the local ER just to see a doctor. So here is where it affects the immigrants coming in. If a Canadian that was here before you is already having major issues with the healthcare, then I can only imagine how hard it will be for a new citizen to our country, nuff said really… the local er near me had a person die in the waiting room this past January. Add to this fact that I am actually pretty sick at the moment and so are my parents and you can understand why I am upset about our failing healthcare system. The politicians do not have to worry about our such issues though because they can afford to pay to go outside of Canada and pay cold hard cash for medical treatment. That is why they do not mind removing funds from our healthcare system, it will not affect them and they get to line their pockets with more of our tax money… I honestly place most of the blame for what is going on right now on Trudeau’s government and not the immigrants. The immigrants could help make this crappy situation a lot better for both of our parties though if they tried a little harder to adapt to our ways of life here. When in Canada try to live like a Canadian, I do not think that is asking much. Again, as for racism, I believe in judging a person by their actions and not by the colour of their skin. Racism is such an antiquated way of thinking… Our skin colours maybe different, just like our cultural backgrounds, but after all is said and done we are all members of the human race. There is one other reason that hatred towards member of your country is going up and it is simply because our hatred for our own government is so high right now and we are all only human. Some of us lash out at people that do not deserve it when we are really upset. That doesn’t make it ok. But I know that the fact that we Canadians hate our government more than ever right now, is due to the simple fact that our own government is not listening to our issues and what we want done with our country. Then that same government will labels us as right wing extremists simply for the fact that we no longer support our current government for example. Canadians are more angry now than they have ever been. The RCMP have been advised about this across the whole of Canada, so you know it is a real issue. I can control myself and will never snap at others due to how frustrated I am, so I would like to apologize to those of you that may have a bad experience with another frustrated Canadian. This is really not our normal behaviour. We’re are all stressed out and being called the bad guys by our own government just exacerbates the whole issue. Again, cheers to you all!!!

Developed countries of west are facing problems like low marriage rate , high divorce , low fertility rate , depression, loneliness leading to number of pet dogs equaling number of humans because they can’t tolerate living with spouse or other human beings … developed countries create 5 times more carbon emission per citizen and create twice of thrice the amount of waste compared to developing counties like India.. India grows its good 80% while Canada gets most food imported from USA Mexico and South America, buying lost of diesel for transport of these food. India won’t be able to have any land left if everyone become rich and builds biggest individual houses instead of affordable small apartments that are multi story building using less land.

Canada's immigration policies of the last several years are designed to destroy Canadian culture. It seems India is the main target country that is taking advantage of these ridiculous policies, by quite a large percentage. Though racial hatred can be the result of this for many, which is unfortunate, the reality is Canadians are not wrong for being very angry about this, and not everyone has the luxury or time to be high minded and philosophical about the demise of their culture. You don't need to hate Indians to know what is going on is wrong. Our country is using tax payer dollars to fund initiatives that literally lock citizens out of jobs. Think about how absolutely abhorrent that is. Unfortunately so many people have been let into the country the only way to fix it will be to deport people en masse.

Canadian here with what I hope is a level headed view.\n\nI would say that the biggest issue and problem is to be laid at the Liberal Party's feet. Both Canadians and Indians are Pawns in a political game of Chess. Trudeau and his administration are using the Imagination community for votes. This also means that so as not to offend Immigrants new to the country, Canadian ways, traditions, lifestyles, ect. are targeted by the Liberal government.\n\nAs an example, If I went anywhere in the Middle East, I would be expected to respect and adhere to the laws and traditions of the country I am in. BUT, here in Canada, it is becoming no longer acceptable to celebrate our heritage, traditions or even holidays as it might offend Immigrants.\n\nThat's an idea as to the bigger picture.\n\nThe smaller picture is stupid things like an Immigrant the his or her diet doesn't allow the ingestion of Pork/Ham/Bacon.... but say orders a Bacon Cheese Burger then makes a scene because he or she isn't allowed to eat pork... and eventually is given the meal for free. Or in one case the restaurant offered to pay for the entire meal in which the 5 immigrants at the table drank $350 in Alcohol. Yes I have witnessed both. \n\nThere are also cultural issues which cause friction. The language barrier being one major. Especially when an Immigrant tries to claim he or she cannot speak the English or French but holds a valid Driver's license. The license could not be held if the individual doesn't speak English or French. \n\nRegardless, individual issues are small when confronted with a government that treats everyone as Pawns.

I was never racist or taught to see people of other ethnicities or religions as inferior so I don't hate Indians, nor do I show them disrespect unless warranted but the rampant abuse of our systems has messed up so many things. I know of large families of Indians who came as asylum seekers who'd come over separately while claiming different names so when they all come together some families are getting $30k or more per month just for being here. They drive expensive new luxury vehicles and mostly wear expensive designer clothes and are given homes while at the same time us Canadians born and raised here are struggling to even get to eat well every day or have a home to begin with. It's not entirely the fault of Indians, the blame also needs to be shared by our gov't as well since they opened the borders and have mostly waived the process of vetting who comes into our country. It's never a bad thing to have people who genuinely add to the collective greatness of a country but we have let in too many freeloaders and even criminals, the Indian gangs extorting businesses for millions in BC and Alberta for example. Nothing wrong with Indian immigrants as long as we can balance the needs and safety of everyone involved as well. Right now there is no balance and the results are catastrophic. Canada never used to be host to so much divide and hatred as it is now, we can thank Trudeau and his people for that.

The reason why it's increasingly more expensive to live now is mostly due to Covid. Worldwide, aproximately 1.7 TRILLION USD was given to corporations after Covid, and almost none of the money has returned to the governments, because well... they didn't plan for it to happen. The rich have gotten richer and the middle class have gotten poorer. When giving away so much money, there is bound to be inflation. The money was used to invest by the rich, buying mostly properties, which is why property prices are skyrocketing. There are so many apartments, particularly in Canada, where nobody lives, because there are so many rich investors buying properties. This phenomenon is not restricted to Canada, but most other large cities in western countries.\n\nYou might think the grass is greener in other parts of the world, but it literally isn't. I live in Norway, one of the richest countries in the world, and the situation is exactly the same here. Everything is getting more expensive, salaries stay stagnant and our currency is absolutely dogshit at the moment due to a failure of basic economics by our government and the central bank. Our oil fund, the wealthiest fund in the world, is actively making trades against our own national currency to make money, but they are making the currency itself worse, thereby reducing the value of it. The value of the oil fund evens out, but it lowers the purchasing capacity for everyone else. Talk about shooting yourself in the foot. \n\nPeople would chop off a limb to get a passport in Canada. It is, as you said, a relatively safe place to come home to. There aren't too many countries like that in the world, and you are fortunate. I would advice you to reconsider moving abroad. Sure, Canada has many problems, but I can guarantee you, that living elsewhere in the world at this point is not going to ease your grievances unless you live a very frugal life.

I'm 52 years old and a Canadian citizen my whole life. Canada has always been a welcoming country. I have friends from every part of the world here in Canada. But in the couple years there has been a brutal influx of Indians in Canada. My build alone had maybe 3 Indian households. Now more than 60% of the building is indians. And the problem is 6 to 8 people living in a 2 bedroom apartment. We use to have 1 garbage bin in the basement. Now we have 3 and they are over flowing and they leave garbage everywhere( I've watched them do it). Not everyone has house keys so they leave the security door open all hours of the day allowing criminals to get into the building. They have shit in the laundry room and the garage(I have seen this happen). They smoke in the building halls and lobby. They Dont use laundry detergent when washing their clothes so the laundry machines stink really bad. I have to was the laundry machine before even putting my clothes in.Also they have taken every job in the business in my neighborhood. They aren't very friendly. They come into my restaurant and act like entitled brats and hang out for 6 to 7 hours in groups of 20 and don't tip. They're loud and demanding. Now our regular client's have stopped coming. Since these new Indians have come here they have tainted everything. I have never been a racist individual in my whole life. My family is very diverse. We are white, black, packistan, and Asian. In the last 3 years I am so disgusted in the quality of people that have been coming to this country. The biggest group is Indians. I'm sorry but be don't need any more of these assholes. I grew up in Canada and I'm white. When I went to high school everyone who I met grew up in the country so it was very easy to socialize and make friends. When I went to college it was a very big culture shock because everyone traveled to Canada from another country mostly India, Korea, China and the Philippines. Most indians/immigrants ive interacted with are insanely smart people. In high school all the native Canadians were a lot less intelligent vaping is a huge issue but everyone was highly social so I was able to fit in easily even though im a pretty unlikeable person. The problem is that in college I couldn't really make any friends because of the cultural differences and since native Canadians are very rare where I was studying the culture was also kinda different. So it kinda makes me feel like im an alien in my own country. But honestly everyone kept to them selves a lot more. There are a bunch of other factors like people hyper focusing on studying but I wish people would just socialize more instead of just doing their own thing.\n\nI still remember back in high school when people used to know about everything that happened if there was something that happened everyone would know about it because everyone would talk about it there were group chats with tons of people in it where people would organize things or share memes. I think people should take inspiration from this and probobly do this more often but now its honestly just very lonely.

I knew when Eastern Welfare Canada voted in Turdo that he would destroy it and put us in debt like every Liberal government does. What is so crazy if you have VPN and a couple of minor technologies you can watch social media from around the world, using easy technology you can hear and see what people are saying, thinking and doing all over the world. We had not communicated in a long time BUT... I think you were surprized how much you enjoyed to exploration of Russia a few years ago but quality of life was very good then but even better now, but retaining the unmatched access to culture, very low cost of living much lower crime rate than Canada/US/Europe, and cost of living about 1/10th of Canada, great health and easy to get a residency and citizenship due to being from Ukraine originally. For your travels, it is a little more complicated due to US sanctions but from here in St Petersburg it is really easy to travel by bus to Estonia and fly anywhere in the world. Estonia is the cheapest cost of living in the Baltic. I have flown to California several times using that route and to London the flight is $50 euros. \nAlthough you explored a lot here there is so much more to see and experience.\nThere is no doubt the western countries that relied on cheap labor and resources from colonies are all in a downward spiral and the east is rising. All the BRICS countries have positive growth in quality life and economic growth and a total of 108 countries have either applied or expressed serious interest in joining the largest trade block in history while the US empire fades at an accellerating rate. I would not go back the the crime, homelessness, anger, poverty of the US but have family business to take care of every 4-5 years. There are now quite a few news stories in Canada of immigrants leaving the country - some back home and others to the USA and other places. Many just get a Canadian passport and then leave. There are public health care and pensions, so it can be an asset and also a convenient travel document to have. A lot of Canadian university graduates have a very hard time finding work in their fields and a lot of them look to the US for a better future. Both immigration and unemployment in Canada are much higher that in the US - so more people are chasing fewer jobs that often pay less and are taxed more than in the USA. Opportunities are generally a lot fewer in Canada than the US, and the business environment is not as favourable, and taxes significantly higher. You would be getting some of the entrepreneurs from Canada moving to the US for more favourable conditions as well to launch a business and also now a lot more rich investor types, so-called high net worth individuals wanting to relocate, because they just raised the capital gains tax in Canada. Capital gains is also triggered on inheritance in Canada with a deemed sale of property and assets, so rich people would prefer the American system and want to be residents there for tax purposes and have their assets grow in value in the US compared to Canada. There are very large numbers of foreign students and other categories of immigrants which may have as their goal going to the US after getting a temporary visa to Canada which is easy to get - maybe something like half a million to a million people in those categories depending on the year, plus around another half million regular immigrants and refugees now. The Trudeau administration has increased immigration to record numbers. It has been steadily going up over the years for several decades since 1990. Because of family re-unification it can have a snowball effect and could significantly exceed 1 million per year. A lot of the sending countries have much larger populations than Canada, so there are a lot more that can be potentially sent to Canada in the future. About 1/4 of the population of Canada has been added in the past few decades. Add to that visitors and temporary visas - that is a lot of people potentially moving to the US. Before the 1990s Canadians visiting the US were not required to have a passport and a drivers' license or birth certificate was adequate. Now a passport is required. It is impossible to effectively control the long Canada-US border, so there could be some unified policies in that area agreed on between Canada and the USA on immigration and refugees. Canada currently has a very open immigration policy with the government actively seeking out more immigration beyond its current processing capacity and trying to take rejected immigrants from other countries. The Canadian government, especially in recent years under Trudeau is immigration hungry. It might be the only country in the world doing that. What some news reports are now saying is that some immigrants are actually leaving, since they find it so difficult in Canada and some are worse off than they were in the countries they came from, which were considered to be less developed than Canada. \nWashington currently has more immigration controls and administrative competencies than Ottawa, so US pressure and influence is a faster way to get reforms into the system than waiting for local politicians to do anything, which is unlikely. Canada is seen by some as a backdoor into the US. Biden's immigration policies could be seen as very conservative in Canada compared to Trudeau's. It used to be in the news about how refugees were trying to get to Canada and walking across the border in Quebec and out west from the US earlier, but now there are more news stories of immigrants leaving Canada trying to go the other way, probably due to high costs and unemployment because the government took in more people than it could absorb into the economy. They have the idea that immigration drives GDP growth so that they can borrow and spend more, expand the civil service, etc. without making any cutbacks or efficiencies, supposedly without the Debt to GDP ratio getting worse, just by bringing in more people as if that would drive the economy. A lot depends on who you bring in as well. Are they going to go on welfare, are they going to increase crime, will they somehow contribute to society, are they a net tax benefit or cost in terms of government services, will they invest money, will they start a business and create jobs for others ? Those issues do not factor into government decision making in Canada for the most part. Ontario Premier Doug Ford did say there were too many foreign students. It is bad planning not to consider those factors since there are other costs that grow with those policies as well, and infrastructure has to be expanded. I think that the real immigration numbers to Canada are not transparent or made public, nor are the costs involved, if anyone even knows what they are. Nor is the impact on crime. You can guess from what the reports are in other countries. The Fraser Institute has made some estimates on the net costs of immigration to the government budget a few years ago, which were very high and which by now have increased - the cost equivalent of several new aircraft carriers each year. They are big numbers which are not publicized, but it amounts to the fact that immigration is subsidized by the taxpayers in Canada and it is not paying for our pensions as an ageing society as has been claimed. There is less money for education, health care and pensions per person, and those social benefits will probably have to be reduced over time. Social programs can only be delivered to the extent that the government has money. The bigger social system a county has, the more such immigration policies are going to cost. Trudeau has been expanding various social programs as well, so higher taxes and debt are likely with that approach. Then more productive people and companies will want to leave Canada and go to the US. Probably the government does not know what the actual numbers and costs are and doesn't actively keep track of that information beyond what is required. Probably nobody knows what the true immigration figures and their associated costs are in Canada, and hardly anyone has even studied those issues. If they can just walk across the US border and get papers so easily making an asylum claim, it is not surprising, since it would take them longer to get a regular visa and work permit if they did it legally. You could call that a loophole in the US immigration system which is being exploited. The US is better governed in general and has a better system in many ways, but I am not sure if it is the same on that. People have arrived on boats and have not been sent back. At least in the US you have more open information about those issues. In Canada it is hard to find out anything about it. Deportations from Canada are very few. \nOn other issues in Canada when voting in federal elections you have to show a government issued photo ID like a drivers' license or passport to vote and bring a card that was mailed out to eligible voters that gets updated addresses when a person files their taxes. I have never heard of mail-in ballots in Canada, but there are remote areas of the country in the far north who may have special system for voting. It is easier to get a Canadian citizenship than US and many more citizenships are handed out in Canada each year in proportion to the population than in the US. Canadian might be one of the easiest citizenships to get in the world. The official line now is that it is a country of immigrants. Based on current trends, will very little opposition to it in the parliament and most MPs supporting it, future immigration to Canada could increase to several million per year because of the rapid growth of population in the world, and the momentum already growing of immigration to Canada, so it may change significantly in the future. Historically around the world you can see many examples that country names, borders, flags and languages change over time with population changes, so it might not be called Canada anymore in 50-100 years. For example, Bulgaria used to be called Thrace which had been a powerful kingdom in antiquity and had a different language which is barely known about anymore. Over the past 2,000 years it has gone through a number of changes and had various regimes governing it, has been independent and also part of several different empires. Canada has only been a country for a short time in comparison and has been been going through significant changes. Trudeau has said that Canada is a post-national country. Canada is also going through a period of critical self-examination and deconstruction-revisionism. A lot of what had been viewed as positive from its history now is seen more critically, with re-naming and removing historical figures now seen as negative.\nDiscussing immigration policy critically is considered by many to be taboo in Canada, unless a person is saying good things about it in general. And our government also prioritizes immigrants and asylum seekers before born and raised Canadian citizens. Canada is in crisis due to immigrants so I don’t understand why you keep coming. Of course Canadian people will not welcome you, our kids can’t get jobs because all jobs are filled with Indian students who agree to work for less ruing our work system. We have Indian people crapping on our beaches because they don’t know how to use a bathroom. Complete different mindset and culture. We are a clean country and welcoming but millions of people at once is too much. I’m pretty sure India would feel the same way if Canadians would do that to you. I used to go to a small college in steeles west. We were only a few students in there maybe 20 to 40+ with 2 programs combined. Very chill, everyone knows one another and had fun hanging in the lounge area/ cafeteria. But man, when the indian students arrived, we lost that comfort and place in that building. It transformed within days to their own environment, whats worst is they keep having celebrations and parties when we were having classes and exams. That experience really had me change my perception on the new indian immigrants, theres just zero respect on their surrounding as long as they have the party. Im an immigrant myself, but bringing your culture with you in a foreign country and expect everyone to adhere to it is just...yeesh. im just glad im done with that school. We're the second last batch to ever stayed there before the college finished their Toronto building for the new students.

most newcomers to any country struggle especially since most are not bringing in wads of cash to start a business but literally scraping in using life savings just to get here - however once here with residential status a national health care and level of income security for unemployment benefits is an added bonus which you won't get in every country regardless of residency status but refugees and others come in with no money at all as well as problems in some cases with language barriers, but as bad as everyone thinks it is the grass is not greener on the other side just because you're paying lower taxes but privatising infrastructure only makes things more expensive even when you're not taxed.... and Canada is a huge country with very limited number of tax payers such a small market would double costs for private business too - and just cos things may be cheaper you may find you don't fit as well as you thought..... and also the more you move the less time you have to settle and grow into the space you find yourself now....I've lived in 3 very different countries so I understand how difficult it is.... and how some places regardless of cost just fit better than others.... I love Toronto... but would not want to live in Vancouver or Texas for very different reasons... and don't judge a city by people who don't know how privileged they are to live in Toronto or anywhere in Canada really they should try living in India or Russia or even South Africa... places may be cheap but the lifestyle isn't worth much as a result of being failed states - even USA is falling apart road by road bridge by bridge.....of course there's hope for all of them eventually.... but if you don't like it it's probably best you leave.... if you don't want Canada why would Canada want you.... your just bringing the nation into disrepute

I came from France back in 2015 whith my familly when Harper was still prime minister at the time , really I'd say things have been really great , my family and I have worked hard to get to where we are today and have always wanted to give back to our community here but I am disgusted to see in 2024 what Trudeau has done to the country and to see that immigration is no longer as prestigious as it used to be. Unlike some people we have today, I had to wait 3 years with my family before receiving approval to move to Canada (after so many exams, appointments and waiting times). I did my middle school here until college and I'm currently still looking for work in correctional and when I see that people arrive here afterwards without being permanent residents, who are literally flooding spots at colleges/university and also jobs that are normally open for young canadians in their 15-16 (When I was in high school, my first job was at a McDonald's, and without exception, everyone there was Canadian. Today, when I go back to the same McDonald's for a cheeseburger every now and then, the entire staff is nothing but Indians) .As a person with an immigrant background, I'm the first one to say that there's a very big problem in Canada, and that current immigration, mainly from India, is no longer for economic reasons but to reunite families.(They do not, and will never, assimilate into Canadian culture.)Now that I've grown up in Canada for almost half my life, I'm already thinking about either returning to France or start over somewhere else if nothing changes.\n\nThe Trudeau government, uncontrolled immigration, dangerous idelogies from extreme far left idea, rising unemployment, and economic misery getting worse every day , gradually pushes me away from the country I love, Oh Canada.

South Asian Indians are fourth generation Canadians and are educated, successful and have assimilated with the European culture. The french lady should see Montreal, it is cool to see Indians, Chinese speaking French. Do you ask why there are too many Chinese in Chinatown? I know because that's how I came to Canada. Unlike the US where it's hard to stay and you need a marriage, in Canada you can use a qualifying job. Usually people sponsored by family to get PR, as well as refugees, are put ahead of international students as well as those on work permits. \n\nIn the meantime, International students over-pay into post secondary, as well as working off campus and paying taxes, but are always last in line when it comes to being granted PR. The rules change so much so fast, it's easy to find yourself out of time and kicked out of the country. \n\nSo whoever watches this will be happy that International students are getting kicked out, but the problem with too much immigration won't be solved because the country is still taking in so many refugees. Right now it's international students getting the axe and are the scape goats in ths game. \n\nAlso, the reason why Canada takes in more immigrants beyond the obvious, is because they want to eventually do away with property rights.
