I have always been a proud American citizen. My paternal side of my family has been traced back to the Mayflower and I have ancestors and family that have served in the Revolutionary War, the American Civil War, WWl, WWll, Vietnam, the Gulf, and Afghanistan. This country has made many mistakes and has had much shame throughout its existence for various things but this is the first time and U.S. president has turned his back on our friends and allies in favor of an evil authoritarian leader named Vladimir Putin who strokes his massive ego and gives him elusions of power and respect from Putin when in reality Putin is playing Trump like a fiddle. The New York Times was not right. Donald Trump is not a bright guy. I stand strongly with my friends in Canada ??.

As a patriotic proud Canadian. This goes to show Canada what time it really is. It's time to develop our nuclear weapons systems. As an US resident, I am in no way in agreement with our government…..I hate the fact that our closest neighbors for centuries hate us. I am depressed every single day since Trump entered the White House the first time. Our former and greatest president allowed me a reprieve but now I am thinking about moving from this country due to my extreme depression. Our family helped build this country as we were here before the revolutionary war. I was expecting a nice retirement and Trump and his cronies are making that impossible by possibly stealing our social security that I was told was I would get back for the last 50 yrs. I certainly understand why other countries do not like us…….I do not even talk to my family anymore as I voted for the prosecutor and they voted for the felon.

This was an impressive speech and chilling to the bone. People should understand the undertone that this already is the first stage of a war. Hi I'm from Russia and I would say that mostly people who lives in english speaking countries they usually can only tell about wealth privilegues of having particular passport, offical status of their country and that's it. for my personal opinion the motherland is something that is more than that. I didn't travel much somewhere but I've been abroad and I would say - nowhere is better than here in Russia for me. As an NRI for a decade in Germany, I can assure you that not a single person in the developed western world looks at India with a nicer opinion. They think of it as a necessary baggage. They will only allow Visa on Arrival/E-Visa for people whom they respect and would like to be in the country. While I do not want to get into how some Indians behave when they are on their EU trip, Indians in India do not behave well too. This involves hygiene, roads, infrastructure, intelligence, corruption, etc. Indians tend to look at the Indian flag with tears in their eyes while listening to A.R. Rahman’s “Vande Mataram” with Bharat Bala’s video. But the reality in the western world is this: India is a loud, messy, unhygienic, poorly organized country filled with corruption and crime everywhere. Now, why would a well-developed country open their doors to potentially unruly 1.4 billion people? The reason for visa rejection is that a lot of them simply apply for a tourist visa and never leave. If someone really needs to travel, they will have the money and the motivation to apply multiple times. Hence, the first check with multiple layers of bureaucracy.

It’s not just food bank either, they all apply for welfare and immediately get assistance even though it takes months to get as a natural born citizen, and that’s even if you get it. I was shocked to find out the federal government was paying indians to move out of Ontario and BC into Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba because the coastal cities infrastructure was about to implode in certain areas. So they they told these people to move inland, and if they do and stay there for 18-24 months, they get $3300 dollars a month every month for that duration. My disability cheque, that I paid into for 40 years of hard work, comes out to 950 dollars a month. This is absurd. These people get literally everything handed to them, and STILL abuse the programs meant for those who are struggling. I have never in my life met such an arrogant and utterly dishonest and disgusting group of peoples in my life. This isn’t just one or two bad apples, this is happening in every city around here. They also get first dibs on any and all medical treatment and specialists. Many local residents who have already been on waiting lists for years to get treatment are getting bumped in order to accommodate the new invaders. It’s basically impossible to find a doctors or dentists office accepting new patients. ER rooms are full constantly of these people coming just for runny noses and coughs, clogging up the already strained healthcare system. The prairies hospitals (at least where I live) were barely holding together before this nonsense. Yet somehow, this is all just white people being racist huh? \nWell I’ll tell you what, I’m not white, my people were on this land long before anyone else can claim to be, and while I’ll admit there’s often still a lot of animosity between natives and whites, youd be quite surprised to see how many of us are in agreement towards the current behaviour of these people.

Immigrant families who are here should probably have conversations with their children about the possibility of being deported together and what that could look like; now is the time to have a plan, not the time to sit and wonder and wait for the inevitable. Its the responsibility of the adults in the families to have thought of all scenarios prior to relocating their minors and putting minors at risk of rape, assault, trafficking, and orphanhood. While I am praying for these individuals and have great compassion for them, the priority needs to be those who are paying thousands and waiting years to come in legally. Fair is fair.
