Both Trudeau and Zelensky openly state that Trump's actions will lead to poverty in the USA and weaken the country so much on the international stage that no one will want to cooperate with the US anymore, fearing that when the day of trial comes, the US will betray them—just as Trump did! Unlike Trump, Europe did not betray the USA on its day of trial when NATO's Article 5 was invoked to help the US fight ISIS. Europe sent its soldiers, who died for the USA. And today, Trump claims that this does not matter, that he does not recognize Europe because it supposedly took advantage of him. So I ask, who took advantage of whom? Because so far, I see a deceitful man doing everything that terrorist Putin wants. God, protect America so that its children do not have to fight for freedom, as Ukraine is doing today in defense of American ideals—which, for Trump, mean as much as toilet paper in his golden toilets...

Unfortunately, i think that trump (he does not deserve un upercase) dreams of becoming like putin. All that he is doing, everything in his language and actions screams dictator. I think that putin dreams of having the entire Europe to himself and that trump will actually want everything around the USA which includes ofc, Canada. That was their deal. I don't understand why americans are standing by just watching things unfold. It will not get better, this can only and will get worse. I am a Canadian. We do not want conflict with USA. What we want is for our new leader to be voted in - and then work things out for trade. President Trump is aware of what we have suffered. Canada has stood firm.....the truckers in our capital....brought a siege all over the world for freedom. I do not want the tariffs.....that will hurt us both. But I did not like Trudeau's speech.....it was rude. It does not represent us as a country.

At this present time and in this current governmental climate, I do believe that changing a leader now would hurt Canada. I’m a 53 year old Canadian. I went to college on an athletic scholarship & lived there for 10 years after turned professional in my sport. Why, why, why - with all the problems going on in the world right now to tackle - why would you want to start a trade war with your closest trading partner & most loyal ally? Not to mention that your list of Allies is shrinking daily. This is not going to end well for either of us. \nI just arrived home from a trip to the grocery store - making sure nothing in my cart said “ made in the USA” on it due to the new tariffs that began today. \nThe irony is, many of the states where Trump won by the biggest margin, are the states that are going to get hit the hardest from Canadian retaliation tariffs ( Iowa, Kansas, Nebraska, Indiana, the Dakotas - just to name a few). A lot of farmers in those states are going to be hit extremely hard with the fertilizer tax. After Canada, the next 3 largest Potash producers are Russia, Belarus & China. So , good luck \nWhen the cost of fruit & vegetables skyrocket across the US. Maybe you’ll put a little more thought into your vote 4 years from now.

All these years US has a trade deficit of 1 trillion dollars every year. With tariffs we could have recovered 250 billion every year. That is a lot of money. I have never felt more proud to be a Canadian, it’s a good feeling, I was almost brought to tears earlier thinking about it. It's about money. Specifically Donald Trump getting as much money as possible from this term.
