This is pretty funny. I'm Canadian and my best friend is an economist working for the government on demographic issues full time. Just has an FYI canada has seen its highest immigration rate in the past 50 years last year. I can also see and feel all the immigrants moving in the job market. I'm not so sure why those videos keep being produced. This country is not perfect but it's better than many other places in the world. For example, canada is barely affected by climate change because we already have resilient infrastructure. When it comes to housing it's not so much that the governement does not allow for more building than the fact that it's hard to build affordable homes because the homes in canada require a lot of work due to the nature of the climate. (Has a trained carpenter and GC I know.) It's also very far from all of the world's chaos. All those emerging wars will affect Europe directly but all we get are some small economic backlashes. Anyhow, I've been living here for my whole 31 years of life and I've enjoyed the place and its peace. What I dislike is the cold and the lack of sun. Its funny when people talk about the quality of Canadian health care. For example, BC Cancer is one of the best in the world. Canada is on the cutting edge of many health care procedures. My family has never suffered from our health care system in the past 60 years. 1 family member had a quadruple bypass - no bills 2) cancer - no bills 3) emergency c-section w air transport to city 400 mils away - $360 for air ambulance 4) emergency appendectomy - no bills 5) Heart atttack w stint - no bill 6) MRI and CATscans - No bills 6) 3 ADHD diagnosis w mental health care support - no bills 7) industrial accident with crushed hand - no bills 8) Electrical accident with burns throughout body - no bills 9) burns from an oil fire - no bills 10) fall into fire pit w subsequent 3rd degree burns on leg - no bills 11) leg amputation from type 1 diabetes - no bills. And then there are all the little things that happen day to day. In each event, we received top notch care and services. So, you might earn more in the US but we save more in Canada and very few suffer from it. A lot of complaints? Most bad experiences are shared whereas positive ones are not. I think if people on both sides really looked, the US health care fails many more people per capital on a daily basis than in Canada. US insurers are known to abandoned people when they become overly expensive and its not unusual to not have choices in drugs or care options.

And my life turned upside down this Friday by illegal immigrants here in Louisiana. They ran a red light, smash my car, totaled it. While running from border patrol and customs. I counted eight people running out of the vehicle and not one gave two shits to check on me, even though I was injured. Seven of them got away the only one they caught was a 14 year old Honduran child that claimed amnesty. So vehicle which they stole, which had stolen license plate, and apparently was full of stolen tools all was seized. The owners will be lucky if they get anything back since it is being held as evidence. I was told by My Attorney chances are my insurance will not pay me in full for my vehicle. Also, I only have a few payments on my car left, and I’m forced to pay it even though now I have no vehicle to get to work, because all my equity is tied up in it, funny thing is I recognize this kid from one of the jobsites down the street. They literally beat me in a bid on. Mind you only buy $400 differences I’m having to pay taxes it’s a joke when you say these people take jobs and no one else wants thing is it’s not jobs no one else wants it’s jobs that have become jobs. No one wants because of the pay continues to fall prices continue to increase, everyone thinks he’s illegal immigrants make no money on these jobsites most of them have nicer vehicles and live in nicer places than the guys I know. It's funny they try to migrate to countries with immense taxes for their citizens and legal workers, and with social programs paid by these tax dollars. All they have to do is get there somehow and illegally OfCourse, and then give birth to couple of dozens of kids then and bingo. So unfair and people who have sympathy for them should at least accommodate one or two families in their own homes after preaching about others being accommodating.

It is so funny, I was working in Canada, BC for 3 years as highly paid employee, paying taxes > 200k/year and after I decided to apply to PR it took me more than a year to get PR and plenty of strange documents were requested to be provided until I hired immigration lawyer who drafted rather tough and harsh mail to IRCC on my behalf that they are violating my immigration law. Guess what? PR was approved in 2 days. On the flip side I know plenty of immigrants from Eastern Europe, China who are bringing their families with fake documents and receiving PR super easy, once settled they get income outside Canada in their country of origin (leasing an apartment for example) and of course not declaring it here, they specifically keep income at the level so they can get welfare/various reliefs from Canada and they bragging out loud how smart they are taking advantage of the system. That's not fair - there are a lot of skilled people around the world who can bring real value to Canada and behave in a good faith. I’ve been accused of racially profiling someone. Because my coworker asked them if then needed assistance & then I did without realizing she already had. She thought we were the same person. I guess because we are both white with brown hair? Felt awful afterward. Not sure why people would even think to spy on people of colour whilst shopping. I'm white and had on an old leather jacket ove day while shopping which possibly made me look needy. That day while walking through different stores at the mall, I was followed by store personal and also by the security team while walking between stores. After not seeing what I had been looking for in all of the other stores was a new leather jacket but not seeing what I wanted in all of those places that I visited, I walked to Wilson house of Leather and finally found that new jacket. Best of all it was on sale. I've lost some weight since those days but I still have my leather coat which is a bit big for me now and starting to look like the coat that got me followed that day at the mall. Not everything is color when you get those looks and I would say it's more on the way you present yourself. \n\n Funny how it was during the times of the HURRICANES were the riots and thefts were done by people od color.
